Place was awesome. Friendly staff, great customer service, quick and quality! I was very upset after cracking my iPhone 11. I called and was able to immediately schedule and appointment and be seen within 30 minutes, dropped off the phone and the repair was done in another 30 minutes. Normally when I get my iPhone replaced the screen sucks after. The screen they used here was awesome!! I'm clumsy, so I drop my iphone constantly. After many heart-stopping drops, I was beginning to think that my phone was invincible. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Fortunately, Phone Repair Philly was an easy and convenient place to get my phone screen fixed. The staff was quick and the end result has been good so far. They also offer a 1-year warranty that, unfortunately, doesn't include cracks from future drops... Two months later, I dropped my phone again. Although the 1-year warranty didn't cover the crack, they did offer a discount for people that had their screen previously fixed with them. Was considering installing my own screen at that point, but the price of getting it fixed again seemed pretty close to the price of screens I found on amazon. I also got a free screen protector this time! You can schedule an appointment online. However, I just dropped by and the staff was very accommodating. It probably took about 10-15 min to get the screen fixed. Overall, I was very pleased with the service I got. The price was half of the cost of getting it fixed with Apple. Will update if the screen malfunctions, but so far so good! Would recommend trying this place. How to get there: In retrospect, their instructions on the website was pretty accurate. However, the first time I stopped by was a bit confusing. When you get to the second floor, enter the WeWork offices. You will enter a cool, trendy, coffee joint-like space. The best phone repair in Philly!! I went to the one in Northern Liberties and the guy was so friendly! He told me it would be about 45 minutes so I went and got lunch nearby. I have an HTC One M9 that I really like, but unfortunately after 2 years the battery had basically become ineffective. I was looking to get a new phone at the Verizon store but new smartphones are averaging $400+. I instead called up Phone Repair Philly who were able to do a new battery installation for $70. It took them a few days to get the battery but only a few hours to actually install it. My phone works like new again and I saved a buttload of money thanks to them. They also cleaned out my charging and headphone jack ports which made them work so much better. For your info, the Walnut Street location is in the WeWork space. You have to go to the second floor to request that they come down from their 3rd floor office. Don't go wandering up to the 3rd floor like an idiot as I did because you won't be able to find them. read more

I give one star because a day or two after getting my screen replaced, I was sitting outside with my girlfriend and the screen cracked straight across with out any provocation. It was just sitting on the table, we watched it happen. I figured they didn't put the screen on correctly or it was a faulty screen. When I called to tell them, they acted as if I was lying about it. The guy literally said, "at this point it's our word against yours." This crack was no normal crack, in a perfectly straight line right across the screen. He then said I could come in for him to look at but there was no guarantee they would replace it. At that point I felt accused of lying and opted out to have a professional replace the screen rather then deal with them any longer. read more

About three weeks ago I had my Galaxy S8 screen replaced after it had fallen several feet onto a hard surface and cracked. The replacement cost around $200 . I was very pleased with the service and had I written a review then it would have been very favorable. Yesterday I noticed a horizontal crack on the new screen . I had not dropped or banged the phone .In fact, after the cracked screen a few weeks ago, I have been exceptionally careful.I believe the crack was the result of either a latent manufacturing defect in the glass or possibly related to the installation. I took the phone in today fully expecting that the screen would be replaced under the warranty. Unfortunately, not only did that fail to occur, I was treated discourteously by the technican's supervisor with whom I spoke on the phone after I was told by the on-site technican that I must have dropped the phone. Despite my assurances that I did not drop the phone I was made to feel that I was not telling the truth . I was also told that my warranty did not cover negligence, which was extremely offensive. The "accommodation" I was given was a discount for another screen replacement- $ 160. I really had no other good option so I had the screen replaced. Bottom line, in the period of about three weeks, I paid $360 for screen replacement. Although certainly I am unhappy with the expense it was the attitude that was so upsetting and disappointing and which is why I have taken the time to write this review. Before writing it, I did glance through other reviews and noted that a few others have had somewhat similar experiences. As I said to the technician and his supervisor, if I had come back months later it would have been one thing- three weeks is quite another. Not sure what to think about this busiphone repair philly. Went to the sling garden street location and the staff was rude. They said over the phone before i went that you get a 20 dollar discount if you like them on Facebook. I said great. Then upon arrival to the store they say it's only 5 Dollars of for Facebook. You have to like them on 4 different apps to get the 29 dollar discount. Then they presented two screen. A regular and a premium screen that costs 20 dollars more. Neither say Apple on the screen or the box. The guys says no replacement screens say Apple they are all third party manufacturers (norebfor layer when told the opposite story at the walnut street location by the Cheesecake Factory). They got annoyed when asked what makes the premium screen worth more. There's no paperwork showing the features. I left I then went to the walnut st location near Cheesecake Factory in The we work flex office space. To get in. You have to sign in at a kiosk with the receptionist. There. You get your drivers license scanned. And your picture taken. And select the name Jeremy Davis from the list. I was told. "This sends him a message that you're here and he'll come out to talk to you about your phone." After watching someone come out to talk to a guy about his laptop. I had coffee and waiting. After another 30 minutes went by, i went up to the receptionist and said what's up. No one came out. She called the owner of philly phone repair. Talks to him. Then tells me he said he didn't know i was there. I said. How is that possible if i signed into tour kiosk. You scanned my drivers license and took my picture and o selected the name you told me to. No clue they said. Then the guy that came out earlier came out and talked to me. I asked questions about what kind of screens and prices. He tells me there is a regular. A premium. And an Apple screen. I said. Tour other store said none of the screen say Apple. At that point i asked for the owner. He came out and o tell my whole story. He said there are no screen that say Apple. I said your guys with the dark hair and beard just said there is and the springgarden street store said there isn't an Apple screen. The owner Mac says. I don't know why he said that. At that point i decided to wait. Too many different stories. And not a simple upfront explanation of how to get the 20 dollar discount May these guys are great tech guys. I don't know. I could get past a simple price quote discount explanation. The screens don't last and something about the installations or the screens they're using negatively impact your phone's functioning. I bought my phone back in today for the 3rd time in three months after various malfunctions, and before today I would've said the customer service was good despite the screens not working well. It was the weirdest thing: the staff person didn't invite us into the store/office and instead we stood in the hallway to discuss the issues with the phone. I had gone by myself the first two times (I'm a 20-something white woman), but today I was with a friend (teenage black woman). The staff person (white younger guy) first came to the door & asked if we were together, and when we said yes he stayed standing in the doorway of the office instead of letting us come in. His tone was really curt, and it seemed like he was handling the business interaction with assumptions that I/we were trying to pull something. He asked me to show him the receipt from my last visit, quickly dismissed any possibility that the phone's issues would have been related to their work, said the screens last "for as long as the owner takes care of the phone," and said they wouldn't do any work for free. TBH I was hoping they would take responsibility for the fact that my screen was not attached to my phone in parts after only 2 months (it's been in a case with a screen protector ever since), but I never asked straight up if they would do work "for free" so that seemed unprofessional. It's possible I wouldn't have read his behavior as offensive if we were having this whole conversation in the actual place of business, but from the moment we weren't invited inside it was hard to not feel like we were being treated strangely. read more
