Tried Mai Thai Restaurant yesterday lunch and had a really nice meal…read more The lad na seafood but substitute with pork was flavorful with a rich gravy and tender meat. The same as I had in Thailand. The fresh summer rolls were light and refreshing, with dipping sauce. You can also request with delicious peanut sauce. Server gave me to try. My sister ordered the shoyu ramen with shrimp tempura, which was delicious. Tempura was served separately so it was crispy. My mom also had Ladna seafood but shrimp only. It is really big portion. Overall, a solid spot if you're in the mood for Thai and Japanese noodles.

The spring rolls were an absolute joke and overpriced. They had a very weird funky taste from first bite to after taste. Portions were small overall and prices were high. Most of the dishes we had lacked flavor. Compared to all the other fantastic Thai restaurants around, I wouldn't come here again. Our particular server was not mean but she also was not nice. She had a very particular way of doing every bit and it was just an odd experience as a diner. Food overall: 4.5/10 Service: 4.5/10 I'm surprised this place has good reviews on google. Maybe we just went on a bad night but this is what we experienced so it is what it is.

I had the rice noodle soup, I asked them to hold the bean sprouts. This is a $17 soup. For me, it was far too little broth, it was served in a huge bowl, but the bowl was not full of broth. It was maybe half full, including the meat, the shrimp and the rice noodles the broth was very bland. The restaurant pouts being a traditional Thai restaurant however the soup was served no traditional accoutrements.. Fish sauce (salt + umami) * Chili flakes or chili oil (heat) * Sugar (yes -- balance) * Vinegar or pickled chili vinegar (acid) * Often lime wedges They're seem to be only one person working the dining area and when I could finally get their attention, I was able to get some lime wedges and chili sauce. I'm on the fence if I'll go back sometimes like to give these places a second try nothing was awful and nothing was bad but the quantity was minimal. It wasn't worth the $17. The broth was minimal. They could definitely offer more broth and it just to seem like a bother to get traditional accouterments. This these types of soups are finished at the table and not in the kitchen. That's the traditional way.

We had this for the first time recently, and the food was very good. As was the friendly customer…read moreservice (we got the food to go, so we can't speak much to the ambiance). What was not good was the notable discrepancy in price on the website versus the actual prices. So, this review is a PSA because Thai Spice really needs to rectify this immediately and get all of its sites updated. At the time of our order two weeks ago (and at the time that I am writing this review), the website https://thaispiceauthentic.com/ and the PDF menu hyperlink on that website (and the Order Now hyperlinks on the site) all reflect outdated prices. If you access the business via the https://www.yumdthaicuisine.com/ site (immediately confusing because this does not appear to be the current restaurant name, and the sign outside the restaurant says Thai Spice) or if you Google the restaurant and access the Toast site to order, you will get the current, actual prices. But these are way too many variables for a customer to reasonably navigate or to know what is accurate. We ordered the following: - Thai Sampler - We expected to pay $14.96/99 (two prices, one on the PDF and one via the Order Now link); the actual current price is an astounding $22.50 ($15 was a good deal, we thought; $22.50 is not--not for what you get) - Chicken Pad Thai - We expected to pay $13.96/99; the actual price is $14.95 - Yellow Curry - $13.96/99; actual price, $14.95 - Sticky Rice - $3.00; actual price, $4.00 A difference of over $10. Not great.

The perfect balance of spices, sweetness, and tanginess shines in every bite. Their Thai iced boba tea is smooth and refreshing, the perfect complement to the meal. I thought we were going to an abandoned dunkin doughnuts spot that they just kind of bought and took over. Walking into the restaurant you get the instant blow of PHO in your face. That' is NOT a bad thing at all! When you're pho broth game is that GOOD that is how it suppose to be! Whom ever made it. Hats off to ya! That was one of the best broth's I had in years on the east coast! NYC needs to up their game. They have high end, low end, or just average of viet food but in CT. I'm jelly cause this chef is 100% legit. Let's put it this way. That pho is so good. When you leave the place. It left a stank on my clothes! If you're a fan of pho. AGAIN. It's not a bad thing at all! That's when you know someone in the back perfected that recipe. I'm sorry I had to repeat it several times how good it was. Portions, cuts of meat, everything was on point. I would just come here for that alone if I ever drive back here. The spring rolls on the other hand was standard. Nothing too crazy, nothing special about it. I was hoping they use the clear raps and pan fried/deep fried it with that instead but we got to regular spring roll wraps which is fine. All in all, if you're ever in this area. HIGHLY recommend !
