This is a tasty treat of a place down in Woodmont! I have wanted to try this diamond for awhile now so was excited when a friend suggested we have lunch there today on their beautiful patio. We shared a yummy order of Spring Rolls to start. My friend got the Pad Thai which she enjoyed but said was sweeter than she'd had in the past. My Pad See Ew was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. The portions were huge! Perfect for a bonus lunch tomorrow! Our table neighbors ordered a delicious smelling dessert, which caused us to order the delectable Fried Banana with Ice Cream! Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive and we also got a visit from another member of staff assuring we enjoyed our food. Excellent service. I can't wait to come back to try one of their spicier dishes!

This is a new restaurant in Milford. Six of us ordered dinner for delivery tonight (no one wanted to cook!). Food order was complete and on time. Fried dumplings were nice and crispy. Soups were hot and spicy. Entrees were appropriately spiced, tasty, and plentiful. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered: salmon pad Thai; pork fried rice; coconut rice; minced chicken; drunken noodle. There were enough sauces to go around without rationing. Will make a point of eating in soon to get that experience.

Been wanting to try Bangkok Room after they took the spot over from Oar and Oak when they shut down. I typically order takeout for Thai food but this time I went in person to get the best experience possible. This spot is BYOB so if you're looking to have drinks, make sure you bring them. For starters I ordered the Thai Sampler. This was a plate that came with a bunch of different apps from fresh cut rolls to chicken satay. Everything was to perfection and had great flavor. I also ordered the Tom Ka Gai soup and it was probably my favorite thing I ordered. It had the perfect balance of being sweet and savory and it packed a lot of punch. For my main, I ordered the Basil Fried Rice with Pork. The basil was fresh and all the elements of the dish came together beautifully. I'm so glad I tried this spot. It's definitely going to replace the spot I use to go to on a regular basis.

If you're looking for a delicious Thai food restaurant, this is the place to go! The food was delicious, the server was courteous and informative and timely. The only issue I had was lack of parking, but there's a " lot " across the street which we utilized. Don't let parking issue stop you from coming..

Tried this new Thai spot in Woodmont and was pleasantly surprised. Staff was extremely friendly, the cook even came out and introduced herself. We started with the crab Rangoon and edamame, both came out quickly and were hot and delicious. For our entrees we went with the red curry with chicken and the drunken noodles. For both you could choose from a 5 tier spice level but the staff was knowledgeable on what is preferred for each. The entrees were equally delicious! This place is also BYOB which is great plus. The menu is extensive so we are excited to come back and try more!

Excellent menu, great staff and service. They changed their tables surround a little bit and it's much better as far as space is concerned.

Excellent food. I would suggest eating there instead of getting takeout. The food is better when you go there.

The restaurant appears to be a little mom and pop shop. Upon arrival the hostess was on the phone and just waived us off to seat ourselves. After her phone call she did come greet us and bring us menus. It was pretty empty during late lunch a little after 1:00 p.m. Decor and ambiance was as I mentioned earlier mom and pop shop feel. The menu consisted of Thai and Lao food we tried a few things but found the flavors lacking in a few areas. The pad seew was very close to being traditional Thai Pad seew, but traditionally there are never any carrots or cilantro added to the dish, the cilantro which I normally love cilantro was too floral and made the Pad Seew taste like soap. The Lard na was deemed "just okay" by my father in-law again the randomly added carrots. The sausage was over priced for literally 1 sausage cut into smaller pieces and lacked flavor and it was a bit gamey. The cucumbers slices served with all the meals were too mature to be served the way they were, just huge thick slices, if you're a gardener you'll understand. The papaya salad I don't recall anything good or bad about it. The squid salad was not what we expected but still good, again nothing that makes me say I need to try this again. Would we try it again "maybe."

I had the rice noodle soup, I asked them to hold the bean sprouts. This is a $17 soup. For me, it was far too little broth, it was served in a huge bowl, but the bowl was not full of broth. It was maybe half full, including the meat, the shrimp and the rice noodles the broth was very bland. The restaurant pouts being a traditional Thai restaurant however the soup was served no traditional accoutrements.. Fish sauce (salt + umami) * Chili flakes or chili oil (heat) * Sugar (yes -- balance) * Vinegar or pickled chili vinegar (acid) * Often lime wedges They're seem to be only one person working the dining area and when I could finally get their attention, I was able to get some lime wedges and chili sauce. I'm on the fence if I'll go back sometimes like to give these places a second try nothing was awful and nothing was bad but the quantity was minimal. It wasn't worth the $17. The broth was minimal. They could definitely offer more broth and it just to seem like a bother to get traditional accouterments. This these types of soups are finished at the table and not in the kitchen. That's the traditional way.

My partner and I went in person for the first time recently, and while we thought the exterior + dining room were unassuming/basic, the food continues to be phenomenal! We ordered the tom yum soup, som tum, pla sam rod with salmon and the duck choo chee. The tom yum soup was one of the best I've had - tangy, spicy and not overly sweet. The som tum unfortunately was sweeter and had less fish sauce and garlic than I would've liked, but the veggies and papaya were super fresh. The salmon pla sam rod and duck choo chee were both fantastic! The pla sam rod sauce was a great balance of sweet, savory, and spicy. The salmon and basil were fried perfectly and held up well to the sauce. The duck was also fried perfectly and stayed crispy despite the red curry + coconut milk that coated it. The veggies were also very fresh and kept the dish light. We loved the flavors and textures of the duck choo chee - the red curry was very aromatic and lemongrassy, and the coconut milk added some creaminess. So far, I have only been impressed by the quality of the food and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!!

What was not good was the notable discrepancy in price on the website versus the actual prices. So, this review is a PSA because Thai Spice really needs to rectify this immediately and get all of its sites updated. At the time of our order two weeks ago (and at the time that I am writing this review), the website https://thaispiceauthentic.com/ and the PDF menu hyperlink on that website (and the Order Now hyperlinks on the site) all reflect outdated prices. If you access the business via the https://www.yumdthaicuisine.com/ site (immediately confusing because this does not appear to be the current restaurant name, and the sign outside the restaurant says Thai Spice) or if you Google the restaurant and access the Toast site to order, you will get the current, actual prices. But these are way too many variables for a customer to reasonably navigate or to know what is accurate. We ordered the following: - Thai Sampler - We expected to pay $14.96/99 (two prices, one on the PDF and one via the Order Now link); the actual current price is an astounding $22.50 ($15 was a good deal, we thought; $22.50 is not--not for what you get) - Chicken Pad Thai - We expected to pay $13.96/99; the actual price is $14.95 - Yellow Curry - $13.96/99; actual price, $14.95 - Sticky Rice - $3.00; actual price, $4.00 A difference of over $10. Not great.
