Extremely Disappointed After Two Years - Poor Service and Rude Customer Interaction…read more I had a two-year relationship with Blue Promise Pools that ended poorly due to unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from Casey, the company's owner. While I initially stayed with them because they consistently showed up, the truth is the pool was never truly clean--and that became especially obvious during the warmer months. For the past two years in a row, around the same time of year, my pool turned completely green. The first time it happened, Casey told me it was "normal for this time of year." That explanation never sat right with me, especially since I live in a neighborhood where nearly every home has a pool, and none of my neighbors experience the same issue. Plus, I had lived in this home for over a decade without ever seeing my pool turn into a swamp--until I hired this company. This year, when the pool turned green again, I reached out. After the technician's first visit left the pool a mess, Casey sent him out again. The second time, the tech simply stirred things up to make the surface appear clearer and sent Casey a misleading photo. Casey then texted me saying the pool looked "great for this time of year." I was stunned--not only did it take two visits to get it looking passable, but now the photo was being used to pretend everything was fine. When I called Casey to express my concerns--particularly that his employee misrepresented the state of the pool--he completely lost his temper, yelling, "How many times do we have to talk about this?!" That moment confirmed it for me: Casey had no interest in resolving the issue professionally or listening to feedback. He made it abundantly clear he didn't value our business or care about providing actual customer service. I also feel regretful for having trusted them with expensive work, including replacing the pool heater and electronics--especially since those electronics are already falling off the wall. At the end of the day, Casey demonstrated that he's the kind of business owner who insists on being right, even when he's clearly wrong. Thankfully, after switching to a new pool service, our pool was crystal clear in four days, and the in-floor cleaning system is now running perfectly with just a few control adjustments. Bottom line: I would not recommend Blue Promise Pools. Poor water quality, careless service, and a complete lack of professionalism or accountability from management made this one of the worst service experiences I've had.

They recommended we hire a pin point leak detection company, who drained our pool and found no leaks ($650 down the drain). Separately, they recommended acid washing our pool and we trusted them when they said it would bring out the white in the pebble tec. Instead, we got unsightly streaks throughout our entire pool. We hired a new pool company who promptly found the source of the leaks (a twisted O-ring that happened when the previous company changed out the filter). Replaced it for $25 and no dirt since. But the ugly discoloration remains, and I've tried working with them to help me repair this, to no avail. I'm highly frustrated every time I look at the pool.

We asked our previous service to fix the noisy suction sounds coming from the top step when the pop ups were actuated by adjusting the water level. He stated it was the pop up, not the H2O level. After replacing them, noise still occurred. We asked again to increase the level and were told he had already done it, yet the noise still existed.... We also had an insane amount of wasps landing on our pool. So much so that I couldn't take my kids out to swim. .... And then we met Paul. What a gem! Not only did Paul fix the noisy suction noise on his first day, he also taught my husband how to do it! Super simple and such a BIG difference!! Now at night while enjoying the weather and some quite time, we're not spooked to near death in the calm of the night by random loud water cyclones. Another fabulous difference we've noticed is that there are a heck of a lot less wasps and we can swim at any time of day now!!! So, turns out that when your pool is cleaned correctly and balanced, wasps have a harder time staying afloat and tell their buddies not to bother. Thanks, Paul! Our pool hasn't looked better! The white ring that had sat just above the water line on our tile? GONE! That gross pool water smell that you could never seem to get off your skin? GONE! Fast forward almost 4 years and he never ceases to amaze me. He shows up regularly, on time (often early), goes the extra mile on both my pool, its equipment, but also my dogs always visit with him while he is here! He goes well above and beyond to make sure and repairs or upgrades exceeds his expectations, and he always confirms costs and repair times before work starts (unlike other companies who do the work and THEN tell you the cost). Overall, they are professional and prompt, and my pool always looks fantastic. I can tell because I receive weekly reports. While I should have left them a review years ago, their recent supererogatory service prompted me to do so now. On Friday, I received a call from Troy telling me that the entire water line had been shut off - both to the house and outdoors. This is a big deal with a property with a pool! I called the PM, and the assistant director of property management had no idea how to handle it. Well, something needs to be done soon because if the water runs low, my pool equipment could be jeopardized! Since I am far and since the PM is poorly run, I called back Troy asking for advice. He offered to turn off the pump for me. This entailed an extra drive over, on a weekend, to turn off the pump. When he got there, he found the pump was struggling to pull water as the water had fallen below the skimmer. If this wasn't found and corrected when it was, the pump would have gone out, which would of costed me thousands of dollars. So, thank you Troy! Your going above and beyond is greatly appreciated.
