One thing I loved about working with Soiree was being able to meet with them at the venue in person on a few different occasions. The entire process felt very disorganized. In our experience, communication was unreliable - emails often went unanswered and Meredith missed several scheduled weekly calls without notice. We also found repeated mistakes in key planning details. We felt like we constantly had to follow up with them, track tasks ourselves, and double-check every detail, instead of the other way around. Meredith has a good design eye, but the execution and organization we experienced fell far below what we expected for full-service planning. Once we switched planners, the difference was night and day - the process became smooth, proactive, and stress-free. Brides beware! When me & my mom met with the owner in her home, she made us feel very unwelcomed and that we were wasting her time right from the start when in fact she was the one who picked the time & day for the meeting. I asked her if she does complete room draping (something that I've always wanted because it gives the room that extra romantic feel) and they don't even consider it. I asked her how they would hide certain things in the room that I may not like at the venue and she told me they don't cover things because it just draws attention to it even more than what it already does. I told her I do not want any of that ugly fake greenery because it doesn't match my theme, and she continued to ignore me. If you have a bride who is seriously considering your services, you do not tell her no or treat her like a lesser person. In the end I did find a company who does full room draping and ceiling canopies, my wedding was everything that I wanted, with no thanks to this "something borrowed" company.

I told so many people that I wished that Heather, our Executive Planner, planned more things in my life. Monthly calls with her for the two years leading up to the wedding were the highlight of the month. She could not have been more responsive or done a better job of keeping us on track. It was particularly reassuring to know that we were in good hands given that we were planning this wedding from afar. It was so helpful to have her team recommend pre-vetted vendors so all we needed to do was review their websites and have a quick chat (and of course we loved all their recommendations). Michelle was the one with the artistic vision who did all the gorgeous design work. Let me tell you, this wasn't just a few "vision board" photos. This was a 60+ page design document complete with suggestions for invitations to floral to drinks that matched! Then she and the team brought it to life. The wedding itself was an absolutely dream, above and beyond what we'd hoped, but that also wasn't a surprise because we'd known all along that we were in the best hands. Everyone commented on how relaxed I was on the day of the wedding, but that was because I trusted Heather and the team with 100% confidence and they did not disappoint.
