Margarita Flatbread
Keith B.

Three Star food with Four Star service. The food was just okay and nothing special. Our service was very good and when they forgot my main course (pizza) he gave me a drink on him. I had a calamari appetizer that was very bland and my margarita pizza was nothing to write home about. My coworker had wings and a pizza and he also thought it was just okay. The atmosphere is good and it's a great place to grab and drink and watch a game. As far as dinner, I would look elsewhere.

Seared Tuna

Had the seared tuna with bok choy over rice find it quite delicious couple that with Jim Beam and Coke and a pleasant wait staff you have the makings for a nice dinner

The breakfast buffet here is pretty phenomenal. High quality stuff. And I'm not even into breakfast food. Since we've been staying at this hotel for a seminar, I've been eating at this place pretty much every day on this trip - that's REALLY uncommon for me, as I normally like to get out and explore... Just didnt have time on this trip! Surprisingly, the bbq brisket at their BBQ Buffet was even more tender than the brisket at the local "famous" BBQ spot - Hard Eight. I was sooo pleasantly surprised! Legit.

Texas Nachos lacked cheese

Ice cold Shiner Bock at the bar was perfect. Cobb Salad was excellent. Texas Nachos were weak. Big pile of good crispy tortilla chips, good guacamole, but not nearly enough cheese. The brisket on top was too sweet. This dish would be much better with triple cheese and none of this overly sweet beef. Pleasant but pokey service.

Bar area nice if you want to catch a game.

Typical fare for a hotel restaurant. Service a little weird, early attention then a little forgotten. It was lunch time and pretty sparse customers but still not great service. I would eat there again, the bar had all the games on and nice TV's.

CHEESECAKE WITH CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE
Sophia A.

Slow service for only 2 people here it's empty! Don't get the chicken wings, they are too dry. The ranch is from a bottle not made on house so I wouldn't recommend it as a salad dressing either. Cobb salad is delicious, the beet salad has FRESH beets not pickled or canned. Soup of the day was chickpeas and it was in a lovely veggie tomato broth. Very nice :) Mashed potatoes are AUTHENTIC and thick. Not that boxed crap you mix together. Salted buttered and with a hint of garlic. For dessert the seasonal is crepes. But we went with the cheesecake with a chocolate drizzle. Very good with a graham cracker crust. Two people it's $80.00 with appetizer and dessert. Mostly the service was super slow.

A trying-too-hard to be hip, dark hotel restaurant. Food is mediocre and service is slow and inattentive.

Tupelo Honey is a southern style restaurant chain that serves comfort food in a casual setting…read more They recently refreshed their menu, and they have become one of my favorite casual lunch spots in Irving-Las Colinas. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.

They did seem a little busy and I believe there may have been a shift change at some point. It took us 15 mins to get a table outside. I will add the wait time is the only bummer in my experience. It took a good minute to get our beverages and food. There was a crowd but it seemed to be in and out pretty quicky. The food was great! I ordered their sangria, very refreshing and not overly sweet. Southern shakshuka. $15.99 two eggs* baked in a tomato, spinach, & peperonata sauce, over stone-ground goat cheese grits, topped with basil (710 cal) - This combo was good, loved the creaminess and even had leftovers for the next day. Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken & Waffles $16.99 Hand-breaded crispy chicken tenders drizzled with sriracha honey, served over golden buttermilk waffles. --enjoyed the Spiciness it truly was subtle but did grow as you continued to eat. The buttermilk Waffles were fluffy and light and full bite with the drizzled syrup was everything. Enjoyed the flavors of the whiskey flight and happy you have the flavor cards to be able to give the tasting a proper review. Over all price is average in comparison but the food quality is there so I have no issue spending an extra dollar or so. I would like to stop by again when it's less busy.

It's a chain. There's something about a chain restaurant that's polished and well fabricated…read more Something about it feels like a lab diamond. It's sparkly, but not intimate. It just feels very manufactured. The menu is varied. If you've read my reviews before, you know that I'm a Texa-fornian, so there are a lot of places in Texas that don't suit my palate (or my waist line.) I was easily able to find a couple of things that I would have enjoyed. Based solely on the calorie count, I picked the salmon with cauliflower rice. It was a little oily, but it was good. I cleaned the plate. It's dark inside, like a steakhouse. Not for me, but if that's your thing, you would be happy. It's clean the food's fresh and if you're a drinker, there is a lot of beer. I'm not a drinker. Maybe you're asking why did you even go? Someone gave me a gift card and someone gave my daughter a gift card, so we had to use them.

They're known for massively tall "yard" servings of beer, though I didn't see anyone trying one on my lunchtime visit. They do have a good 4 pages of beers on the menu! The place has high ceilings with exposed pipes lending an industrial vibe. The menu helpfully marks vegetarian options as well as lower calorie choices. I was impressed to see power outlets along the purse hooks below the bar - if you wanted to bring a laptop and catch up on work emails, it'd be possible. Our waitress was business-like and a little unfriendly, and service was terribly slow. The food was good. Free refills on our drinks flowed freely. I tried a veggie burger which was a bit spicy and oaty. I wish I'd tried a salad! Still, I appreciated that they worked with me on reserving tables for a large group all with separate checks.

A gem in an otherwise culinary wasteland…read more This bistro is located off the main lobby of the Westin at DFW. There are multiple budget hotels in the area and the only food choices within reasonable walking distance are Denny's, gas stations and an outdoor food shed at another motel. There is a well curated list of local craft beers (8). Make a point to ask for the separate alternative "healthy menu". The food on that menu is very different from the comfort food on the main menu and it is available in half orders. I tried a half order of chicken and avocado arepas and a half order of tuna tataki. Both were delicious and visually pleasing. Staff is attentive, engaged but not intrusive. Prices for these two items were $8 each, very reasonable.

Hotel restaurant inside the Westin that is above average for a typical hotel lobby restaurant/bar…read more I was in town for a week of training with bizarre hours so there were a few times I chose to eat here out of convenience. This includes a few nights at the bar and 2 nights in my room. The staff was never overly inviting but they were usually busy with a demanding crowd of hotel guests. Ordering through the Marriott app looked like a great option but it wouldn't work once they asked you how you'd like to pay. When you go downstairs and scan their QR code, it brings you to the same interface but on a website rather than an app, and that worked fine. The chicken wrap with fries was pretty good and was my go to. The house salad wasn't great and I wouldn't try it again. The half order of the tuna was decent but I loved the pickled veggies under them and would have just had a bowl of those! I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but having this inside your hotel for convenience is nice.
