I mentioned to someone what had happened and they said they had been a loyal customer to them but one of their nails was damaged the day after their nails had been done and to get it fixed less than 24 hours later, they charged $5.

When I questioned the higher price, I was told there were extra charges for the gel color, something that was never explained beforehand. Only after I pointed out the discrepancy was I refunded $5. Customers shouldn't have to question their bill every time they visit. Transparent pricing is basic customer service. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling like there is always going to be another surprise charge added at checkout.

I wanted a nice radiant glow which I felt could have been better, but was told afterwards that my skin looked more even. Fine, that's why they got two stars instead of one. What I found odd from the beginning was that no one wanted to consult with me about the chemical peel. Luckily I already knew like I've already mentioned. The manager who was the only one there barely talked to me and even left me alone with the peel on to go back to the front of the store to help someone else! What if I had a bad reaction? She shouldn't have done that and not to mention I had to wait for her while she helped someone else even though I had an appointment. It was as if because I had a groupon I wasn't priority to her. My chemical peel was at most 10minutes long. She cleaned my face, applied the peel and washed it off. No cream afterwards, and no extractions even with her commenting on my problem areas. She couldn't go ahead to do that even if it wasn't apart of the peel? I believe the groupon mentions that you get a hydrating cream after. Too bad I didn't speak up. I've had far better experiences that I shared with friends and family, but this one I would never ever go back to. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR ENERGY HERE!

So many positives: Gigi herself took the booking and was wonderfully warm, helpful and caring. She made sure a makeup artist would be available and called me back to confirm. Everyone at the salon was friendly, kind and attentive. I was using a cane after hip surgery and they were very considerate about my comfort and safety. Apologies in advance if I got some of the names wrong in the next section.... Pedi: Veronica did a great job! Only minor complaint was that pushing back the cuticle was painful---maybe more soaking and cuticle softener needed. Massage chair was great BTW! Brow waxing (Ashley): friendly and very nice, listened carefully to what I wanted, didn't remove too much, very considerate about potential discomfort (it was a breeze!). Brows looked terrific! Makeup (Melissa): absolutely wonderful. Such a nice person as well as knowledgeable, skilled and flexible to adjust to my preferences. She explained every product she was using and what she was doing, gave tips along the way and answered my many questions. I learned a lot, had fun, and the makeup was beautiful! Nails (Diana): what a consummate professional as well as a truly lovely person. She did a meticulous job on my gel manicure --- it turned out great and I kid you not, has not chipped or peeled in three, count 'em, three weeks! In fact, I waited to write my review until today so I could include a 3-week photo! Plus, Diana makes a delicious cinnamon coffee! As a bonus, Gigi's husband Link2Link (his professional name, he's a musician) had a lively and interesting conversation with my husband while he was waiting. I can't say enough good things about Gigi's! Wait, another plus: it's located in the strip mall next to the Hotel Zero Degrees in Norwalk. Couldn't be more convenient if you're staying there---check it out! Gigi's only opened in September 2021 so I hope they continue to grow their clientele.
