On a road trip and decided to verge off a bit to visit Blues Cafe. So glad I did! The server was friendly, very patient with my traveling companion who asked a lot of questions and answered all with a smile or chuckle. They have a signature type of bagel called crunch which was delicious especially if you're someone who likes seeds and a lot of texture. The sandwich itself-Popeye is a great choice. They did not have any pork alternative options so that would a nice add but veggie options were available. Initially I was going to order a hot coffee but they do not offer mugs for dining in so went with the Mocha Crunch instead and it was delicious! If I'm ever traveling through again I'll be revisiting. read more

My friend and I stopped by here on our bikes. Didn't even knew this place existed. Tucked away in a shopping strip of bland building, the entrance stands out. A lot of character and charm, but also a little rough around the edges. We both had the Kitchen Sink sandwich and thought it was amazing. Defiantly exceeded my expectations and was quite delicious. Counter person was pleasant and over all atmosphere was eclectic and was very fitting for this place. The building itself, however, is a bit outdated and I'm probably in need of some TLC from the property owner. All and all I would be willing to visit this place again. read more

Delicious local bagel, coffee and lunch spot in the heart of downtown Patterson. It doesn't get much better than Blues Cafe! This is such a nostalgic spot for me, and my all time favorite place to grab a bagel and coffee! Their pizza bagel is absolutely delicious - ask for it extra toasty! They also make some delicious smoothies that are well worth the visit! They have an adorable indoor seating area that is quite casual with comfy couches and small tables. There are also a few small tables outdoor, perfect for enjoying your coffee with the fresh air! Highly recommend visiting this little gem in the small, quaint town of Patterson! read more

They have a full blown Floral service next to it, and delivery (locally) while also an outside patio with full service cafe open mornings and a happy hour. Good coffee great sandwiches socializing while sitting outside or inside. read more

This tiny but cozy establishment was a random stop on our road trip back to SF. We were in desperate need of a decent coffee and blues pulled through. The ecstatic interior offered a fun vibe that seemed to draw the local crowd. Not only did they serve up tasty espresso, they also offered beer on draft and a food menu. We just missed the kitchen but my Americano was just what I needed. Big kudos for being open on Memorial Day too. read more

Came to Patterson for work and never been here before. I had some doubts but honestly love the little downtown area and Blues Cafe made it so much more. Stopped for some coffee and a little something to eat. I got an iced coffee and a bagel sandwich. The sandwich was hot and tasty! The coffee was great and the employees were kind and helpful. They literally walked us through what they recommended and the choices we had. I would come back over and over again for the friendly vibes and kind people. Yelped Coffee and Blues Cafe showed.. so glad it did. It was worth the little drive into town. Walked in and the three men that had to be have been regulars greeted me. Went to the counter to order & had the greatest visit with the owner. What a beautiful spirit he has, blessings to you & may God continue to bless you & your business. Ordered the Wolfgang Kraut which was delicious! It had the right amount of dressing & kraut, the sourdough bread was fresh.. it was stated by the person eating it... it left them wanting more... should have ordered two of them! Also a turkey & roast beef on the Dutch crunch bread. The crunch bread with "everything" was great, it did't get soggy, it had the perfect amount of red onion. The coffee!! Two iced americano's!! That's why I am giving her a five star ! Words CAN NOT SAY enough how grateful I am to have met Letty!!! The food is always great and the place is a total vibe. I will say they always only have one person working at a time and I've waited around 30-40 min for a bagel in the morning. So go early or call ahead because 8/10 times you're going to be waiting. read more

Blues Cafe has a cool vibe, people are friendly and staff is great! We come here for the beer!The beer here is super icy cold and hands down they have the best micheladas. We love trying new breweries but after trying Blues ice cold beers is tough not to compare them. Yes we compare blues Cafe with breweries!!! Yes we do! We have been to award winnings breweries here in Cal and when we tried their beers is hard not to compare them to icy cold beers from Blues! They don't have a big selection and don't need one (probably 5 or 6 on tap) because the quality is really good. They do have more selection of beers on bottle. Food is also delicious. You can tell the owners take pride and love their place because everything they make here is really good. I am originally from Long beach and visit LA frequently. I moved here many years ago, and i compare this place to LA places and this one still one of my favorites. read more

We were in town for the day and Blues Cafe came recommended to us by someone, so we decided to check it out. We walked in around 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was almost empty, minus a few patrons having drinks at the bar. We approached the bar/counter and grabbed a few menus. We could see a few workers towards the back of the bar area, but no one acknowledged us. We stood for a few minutes looking over their menu, but still, no one greeted us even after making eye contact with one of the employees. I have been working in Patterson for a little over a year now and I absolutely love coming to Blue's for lunch! They have a really simple menu mostly of sandwiches, salads and coffee drinks. Blues feels like the perfect local cafe/bar fusion that has great cafe food! Honestly you can never go with their sandwiches. I like ordering with either Dutch crunch rolls or their ciabatta bread. Very good quality in bread and their deli meats are high quality! I usually get the Gobbler Oinker. It's their turkey & bacon sandwich and I always add Avocado! I love that they serve spicy brown mustard and olives as the condiments, as well. I'm not a coffee drinker at all but I love their Mocha Chiller! Blended Mocha with ice cream is the perfect treat when you want a cold coffee pick me up. Really cute and a divey place to hangout. They also serve alcohol! read more

Let's get right to it. Remember back when you could load up a submarine sandwich with tons of extra meat and cheese? I missed those days - until today. I wanted a huge sandwich and a big salad. The meal needed to be massive, because I had no intention of eating the bread (it's a no bread week for me). I normally go to a sandwich shop and pay for extra meat that I never see - but here, at Blues Cafe, I didn't even have to ask for it! I ordered the 12" Kitchen Sink and it was GIGANTIC. It was the heaviest sandwich I have eaten in years (other restaurants should learn from them). The Chef Salad was extra large too. Exactly what I wanted. You can't leave this place hungry. After a long day in the heat for the Patterson Back to School and Safety Fair my Co-Worker and I were hungry. I'm always looking for local spots on Yelp and I always love a good sandwich. After reading some of the reviews and surveying a few people who came to our booth at the fair it was decided. We walked in and pretended we were deciding, and we honestly thought we were, but the Kitchen Sink had been decided before we even walked it. The sandwich is way too tempting to pass up, every deli meat, three cheeses and veggies. It was HUGE! The sandwich tasted so great and I was surprised I could even open my mouth wide enough to get a bite, I'll repeat HUGE sandwich. The restaurant has a great feel, the owner was really nice and checked on us after we had a chance to try the sandwiches and we each left with another meal. She said that they use condensed milk in the coffee. The sandwich was good. The flavor is interesting and the jalapeños give it a jolt. Good bread and I think it was slightly toasted. I also ordered the calamari appetizer and this was a disappointment all around. There was way too much breading on every piece of calamari, and it was overall such a small portion I feel ripped off. Add to that they put the minuscule amount of calamari on a bed of FRENCH FRIES which were not mentioned at all in the listing, it felt like I got charged for a good appetizer and was given cheap ingredients to fill me instead. I included a photo of what was listed for the calamari and a photo of what I received. You can clearly see they are nothing alike and in fact I received more fries than calamari. Would absolutely never order this again. Overall I give a 3 because of a portion size issue I have with the pasta and an overall issue with the cheap ingredients used for the calamari. I probably wouldn't order here again, at least not via DoorDash (especially because they are not on dashpass so I ended up paying over $50 for the TWO items I got from here). I would possibly consider eating in person only because I would absolutely send food back if they tried serving me this quality of calamari again.

If the shop consistently sells out that early, it would be helpful to either adjust the hours or increase production so more people actually have a chance to buy something. Because this is the only donut option in town, it would be nice to have a more reliable experience--or even some competition to give residents a bit more choice. Again, I respect that it's a small, family-owned spot, but as it stands, it's hard to depend on them if you're not there first thing in the morning. Please try to work on this sunshine. We've been to Blues Cafe twice and plan to go back more. We love the decor and enjoy the ambiance. It's very eclectic and it's fun to be able to look around or up and down to notice new things, from a woman sleeping above a bookshelf to noticing that part of the seating includes church pews. The food was also very good for breakfast and lunch. One of the smears for bagels has freshly chopped vegtables - huge yum factor! We went back a couple of days ago for beer and sandwiches.
