    Autumn bourbon cocktail - delicious!
    Angela R.

4.5 - Bluetop is one of my favorite restaurants in the Chamblee/Dunwoody area. Come here for seasonal housecrafted cocktails, indoor/outdoor seating, ZenTea iced tea, the Yum Yum Cauliflower, Salmon BLT, house burger, shrimp burger, Sloppy Joe with poblanos, and house potato chips. I'd skip the salad, looks fresh but doesn't ring my bell flavorwise. Food hits the table within minutes of ordering, servers are chill and kind, and you can settle when you order or run a tab. Every now and then there can be a line 4-deep to order, but it moves fast. Great place for all ages, but love coming here without the kids - plus live music on weekends, sometimes featuring originals and lead-singing by staff.

What can I say but awesome! I love these little local places. It definitely had a fun vibe inside outside seating that connected the decor was really neat to look at very much enjoyed the restaurant. The service was fantastic, prompt and attentive. I had the steak sandwich and my son had the chicken sandwich. Both were fantastic although I preferred his homemade chips and he preferred my waffle fries. I'll definitely go back the next time. I'm in town.

We found a spot to park in their lot. When you walk in, it seems small, as there's a bar and a few tables in the front room, but when you look past the door, you see a large room where the bar continues with big tables and even an outside area. They even have a nice fire pit outside. It's March madness time, and they have plenty of TVs to show the games. We stopped in to watch Tennessee play while we ate. You order at the bar and then take a number to your table. I got a margarita, and my husband got the mule, and both were good. I might have a beautiful flower in it. Our food came out fast. We got the salmon sandwich with fries and the chicken sandwich with the side salad. We did not know that the fries were waffle and seasoned. It was a very nice surprise. And their ranch dressing seems homemade, but it was terrific. I'm a dipper, so I dipped my fries in the ranch dressing. The chicken sandwich was good, but the salmon sandwich was phenomenal. The salmon was crazy delicious. The toast was buttery with crispy edges.

The Friday before last I walked into Bluetop with a buddy of mine and proceeded to the open backyard. The band was rockin' we found a couple of nicely placed Adirondack chairs (perfect for a couple of old guys) and parked it there. Little did we know that these were actually invisibility chairs! We sat and watched the server in our station walk back and forth in front of us 2-3 times never looking at us once. Not a glance. My buddy finally got up and went and ordered drinks at the bar. We had just come from "DOMA", down the street, where we had experienced the same thing. Can I get invisibility chairs at the local restaurant supply place?? Cool trick, Bluetop and DOMA!

So honestly I have no problem with this place. I mean you get what you get. They have indoor and outdoor seating, you have to order your food and they'll bring it to you. It took a while to get the food for some reason, I mean just for a couple of burgers, but it wasn't the end of the world. They have outdoor patio seating that share with other restaurants on that block, so that's pretty cool. They got TVs if you want TVs to watch a couple of games or whatever the case may be. The burger was cool, like it was a pretty decent burger, had some curly fries on deck, I had no issue with that as well. If I needed a quick burger bite, I would probably go back. It look like that's all people were ordering was sandwiches even though they have other things on the menu.

Pure relaxation, this place is perfect to unwind. Did I mention the honey cajun wings are unreal juice to crunch ratio. BEST wings wow, who would've thought this place A-1

Nice patio vibes for catching up with friends! They've got all your typical pub essentials - burgers, beers, apps. You place your order at the counter to open a tab and they'll bring the food out to you. I was surprised by how delicious and savory the french dip was, and I got to try the burger as well which was solid. The burgers and sandwiches come with chips which are nice and thick and crispy. My friend had a salmon BLT, which also looked really good. The only real downside from my visit was that the live band was super loud - we sat a couple tables away but still could barely hear each other.

Appetizers were very good. She didn't care for the shrimp (a bit spicy, so we took it home for tomorrow's lunch. While the sandwich was good, it didn't seem like an authentic Cuban. Pulled pork filling. I took half of it and the mac&cheese home. Beer was very good; I hadn't heard of it before. It's from Milwaukee. Went to Laylo after for dessert/ $90 with tax and tip. It's a Resy restaurant, so I paid with Amex plat to get the credit. Excellent server.

I do use AI to write these easily, so pardon the clunkiness lol…read more The Food The menu here is a really cool take on elevated yet comfortable Southern food. After a few visits, I've tried a good variety of the menu: * **Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich:** This is served open-face and uses a mix of Sichuan and Calabrian chili. It is absolutely amazing, but fair warning: it is *hot*. Even if you're used to Sichuan spice, this one may still be tough to deal with, but it's still incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. Just keep in mind that they don't adjust the heat level for this one. * **The Greens:** These are wonderful. They have a rich, savory pork flavor and are easily a must-order for me every single time. * **Shrimp and Grits:** This has a fantastic sauce that strikes the perfect balance--not too heavy, but not watery either. My only minor wish is that they'd add some andouille sausage to it (even if raised the price), but it's still a really well-executed dish. * **Southern Pho:** Really great and super hearty. It's a comforting bowl, though probably best enjoyed during the winter months. * **Drinks:** The cocktails are always creative and well-made, and they keep a really interesting beer list on hand too. ### 2. The Ambience The vibe here is great. The interior feels like a charming, cozy little house you'd find in Savannah. I especially love the bar area, which has these really cool copper chandelier lights that give the space a warm, inviting glow. ### 3. The Service The staff has been consistently friendly and welcoming every single time I've been here. The Summary I honestly feel lucky to live close to this place. It doesn't get much love or mentions from the Atlanta social media crowd and local press (the good news is you won't encounter a lot of annoying people lol).. I'm a fan though.

At first there was a mix up with who was serving us do we got explained the drink menu twice. After our appetizer, we waited about 30-40 minutes for the rest of our items which took longer than we thought. They did give us some house made popcorn to keep us busy. Jahjoy pork belly: Tasty & tendor. I loved the papaya salad which left a refreshing contrast. A bit too saucy for me. Flavors were strong. Squid ink bucatini: our favorite! Must get dish - bucatini is perfectly al dente & the spicy sauce was very flavorful. Jumbo shrimp was delicious, and the anchovy on top left a nice strong flavor. Red snapper: This has some Vietnamese influences with the sauce. It was a lighter dish which was just OK for me, I would have liked the fish to have a crispier skin. Not much flavor besides the sauce which is inspired by canh chua. Wagyu flank steak: cooked to perfection and flavored well, loved the celery puree which was much tastier than we expected celery to be. Dessert was mint chocolate cake which was very tasty. I wish the cake was softer and meltier in the center but it was still good. Malt gelato was delicious. Could def taste the mintiness. Creme pat along the edges was a nice add to the cake with cacao nibs and popcorn for a textural contrast. I enjoyed it!! Overall we had a great meal and could tell the ingredients were very fresh. The presentation for all the dishes was beautiful!! We can tell the chef puts care in his food :) Appreciated the personal touch - they gave a handwritten card to my husband for his birthday!

Also had the cinnamon pretzels and they came hot and so good, especially with the side of cream cheese dip. The rooftop is always cute for a hang-out (and, contrary to the downstairs area, remains for those 21 and up).
