It was our first time here and she gave us the lay of the land on the menu, what's good, how we could have our fish, all the details! Plus she was so dang nice! I had a lemon drop martini and my husband had the blood orange beer of some kind. My martini was perfect! The warm sourdough and butter are great to start your meal. Now dinner, I had the rainbow trout exactly as it is on the menu. Probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. Cooked perfectly with the sauce and sides. It's a big piece of fish and half is going home! My husband had the cioppino. He said the fish variety was great and the sauce/broth too! Hearty portion. We came here for my dad's birthday and we were very satisfied. Everything was great and delicious. Service was excellent. We made reservations in the morning for 18 people at 6pm and they were able to accommodate us. We were seated at the veranda table which was nice and heated. Everyone we talk to either says this places is dope or they want to go. We sat outside around 7:30pm it was a beautiful night and made the ambiance that much better. Our server, Yari... she is one of the best servers I have ever had. When I asked about certain items she was very descriptive and honest about preferences. Just her working there will make me go again. Customer service is huge. She was present when needed. How the main event. The calamari was fire. The grits were too much. Meaning, that asparagus and chive oil on it was what did it. Personal preference, I would have used about half that sauce and it would have been solid. I'm a grits purist. lol The blackened Mahi Mahi was also good. The cedar plank salon was quote "a typical salmon." For what we paid, it was priced very well for what we received. Been wanting to go here for quite sometime and i finally made my way last Saturday. And, sadly to say i was disappointed. When we got there, there was a 30-45min wait time which we didn't mind so we decided to go to the bar. And that was a long wait. We saw 3 bartenders but they weren't pushing the order quite fast enough. By the time we got our drink, we only sip it for 10mins and the our table is ready. I looked at yelp what i should get and i got my eye on the chapino with pasta which we ordered and fish and chips. Well, fish and chips were OK (nothing to be excited about). But the chapino was a bit disappointing. Beside being bland and towards the end, I opened up a shell that has mud and a rock in it which i mentioned to the waitress. To celebrate my birthday I decided on lunch at the Bluewater Grill in Temecula, having passed the restaurant on several occasions and seeing several vehicles in their parking lot each time I drove by. I had a serious desire for seafood, and I didn't want to drive or ride to San Diego to fulfill my desire. Having done my research I had my meal narrowed down to either the Lobster Roll or the Fish N Chips, which I would pair with a glass of wine or a craft beer. Upon arrival I was surprised at the size of the parking lot and how well maintained, with shrubs, trees, and smooth pavement. As we walked to the entrance from the car, I could help but notice that the establishment was much larger than I remembered during a brief visit many years ago, and I would guess the additional alfresco dining area with gas heaters and torches was the result of the COVID-19 era. Once inside we were greeted by the receptionist and could immediately smell the fresh seafood displayed at the onsite seafood market. To the right was the Bar Counter dining area, and to the left is the huge dining area with a nautical theme. Choosing one of the large booths, we were immediately greeted by Gwen, a charming, kind, professional lady with excellent customer service skills, and a warm disposition. She welcomed us, presented menus, and in a brief moment we had a carafe of water, glasses and some warm sourdough bread with butter. To begin our experience, we selected cocktails (50% off complements of Yelp "check-in"); a Mai Tai and a Moscow Mule as we perused the menu. The dining area consist of tables along the windows, booths in the center, and larger tables in the corners for groups. The atmosphere is nautical, tropical, calm, yet upbeat, and the amount of patrons that entered during our stay confirmed their popularity and approval. Their lobster roll is offered New England style (chilled) and hot butter, which I happily chose, with crispy fries as the side; the mrs selected the Pan Seared Scallops, and the crisp Sautéed Green Beans. When the food arrived everything was visually appealing, and perfectly prepared. The Scallops were seared to perfection and melted in your mouth. The Lobster Roll was nicely toasted, packed with warm buttery lobster flesh and with fresh lemon applied, I was extremely pleased. The meals paired with a glass of Central Coast Chardonnay, which further enhanced the experience. Blue Water Grill is an ideal place for a special or casual date; business lunch; romantic evening; small or large gathering; and even receptions, having a secluded party area outside. First time coming to Bluewater Grill and man did it not disappoint. Food, drinks, and atmosphere were all 10/10. We started with the ahi poke appetizer and it was amazing. The tuna was fresh and all the ingredients went well together. The only thing that would have made it better is if the kids didn't eat all the wontons haha. For dinner, I had the swordfish and my wife had the salmon. Both were incredible and we'd both recommend the dishes to anyone not sure what to get.
