I used to come here all the time, but it's been a few months. I must say that I think the place has gone downhill. Most of the tables inside are falling apart, meaning that as soon as you put your hand on it, the whole table wobbles, and it's not just one. It's almost all of them with booths. Don't order steak, because there's no way you're gonna be able to cut it on those tables. Our server stated that the owner knows but simply doesn't care enough to fix them. Also, I mentioned in our Reservation Online that it was a birthday, not only did they not recognize it, they didn't offer Dessert, and didn't acknowledge the birthday even after we asked for a menu for dessert. Pretty disappointing. Lastly, I ordered a Philly sandwich, and the steak was so chewy, I couldn't eat it. I could have choked to death if I attempted to swallow it. We joined the monthly membership thinking this would be our favorite place from now on but, last night the food and presentation was terrible and have been up all evening very sick to my stomach. I came in the other evening for a Bookclub event that they so graciously allowed us to host in the restaurant. We had our own space in the back room which was perfect for a group gathering. I had never been here before but loved how festive the outside was decorated for the holidays. They actually added even more decor after we headed out for the evening. Super cute. Our waitress was fantastic I wish I remembered her name (blonde). I had a glass of the GSM which was nice. The girls and I all ordered food and it sounded like the consensus was the dates were fantastic! I personally ordered the Brussels sprouts and those were awesome as well. I loved the sweetness from the maple with the salty bacon and light spice, yum! While there I saw a flyer for an event coming up next week that sounds super fun, I'm trying to make plans to attend. Great place! We actually found this place on our gluten free app and it did NOT disappoint! We had a ceasar salad, the BBQ chicken flatbread pizza & the jalapeno pork flatbread pizza with 2 red wines. Super, super delicious! They have a ton of cute events every month and a very affordable wine club. I love the atmosphere and the decor and HOPE, our server, was 11/10! She was handling everything incredibly well, especially considering she was the only one working. Love this area of Murrieta, had never been there before. Lots of different restaurants and cafes in walking distance. There was plenty of parking on a Sunday afternoon. We went specifically for brunch. There were so many families/kids there and big groups. It looks like a barn, with wine tasting inside. You can eat on the patio or inside, we chose inside due to it being a pretty hot day. We were seated right away and got a booth inside. Our server came over a few minutes later and she was very nice. When I read reviews, I saw many people complained about the time to get their food or refills and YES that is absolutely true. There were 2 parties near us that didn't get their food, the entire time we arrived, ordered and also waited. I didn't mind too much, even though the wait is longer than other restaurants we go to. They might not have enough staff in the kitchen. Our server checked on us several times to ask if we needed anything. The food was great, I had a french toast meal that was big enough for two people and we also got the burger with the most delish, thin steak fries. Visited wine ranch today and the food has really gone down hill. I ordered pulled pork sliders, the meat was room temp and the bun was crisp as if it had set under a warmer for a while. I also ordered the bruschetta, which was 95% onion and 5% tomato, and the shaved cheese was almost flavorless. The bread itself was over-salted as if they use garlic salt to season it. It took *quite awhile* for them to come out, and when they did, they were both definitely overcooked. Our waitress apologized & said they would bring new ones out & over half an hour later, they did. They were slightly less overcooked and came with garlic and lemon on top, leaving us to wonder if the original steaks should've had that on top as well? None of the steaks seemed to actually be Wagyu. They were not tender but they were chewy. By that time our sides were completely cold. The brussel sprouts were definitely tasty and the "stuffed" baked potatoes had no salt, no anything, except for what looked like a slice of cheese melted on top. our waitress was not particularly attentive but was friendly and she did discount our meal, hence the 3 stars. First time visit here yesterday and was very happy with our meal!!! The 24 oz ribeye was calling us, so we decided to share. The price was a little scary ($110) but the portion was perfect for two people. The steak was delicious, the rosemary, garlic, butter and whatever else they seasoned the steak with was perfect. It came with two sides and we decided on the Mac and cheese (heavenly) and a baked potato with cheese (also incredible). The side of garlic toast was also included. Everything was so yummy Oh! We also tried the bacon wrapped dates for an appetizer and the sauce was SO good. I would recommend this meal to anyone and absolutely want to come back to try more of the menu. My wife, myself, my brother and his wife made reservations to participate in Bingo night. We arrived 1.5 hours ahead of the start of Bingo(5:30PM). We checked in with the hostess, and then proceeded to eat dinner with drinks (almost $200) on the front patio area. I went back twice to make sure she knew were we there, and she even showed me the booth we were assigned with our name on it. At 6:26 PM we went inside to go to our assigned booth, and the hostess had given the booth to 4 girls. I spoke to the person who was running the Bingo, and she told me she was sorry, but there was nothing she could do. Sadly had a small issue that left me feeling that I don't want to return. That being said I am in the industry. First I have a special place in my heart for Wine ranch. I actually opened the tasting room and restaurant when it was under a different name. I have felt for years they've had an issue being consistent and having prices match their menu and what they charge their guests. We were there for happy hour and the girlfriend ordered the guest Pinot Grigio. I was on their website checking out they're happy hour prices as well as their menu prices. It shows the Pinot Grigio being $10 glass and during happy hour you save $4 a glass. Which obviously means the wine should be $6 glass, which during happy hour for a cheap Pinot Grigio $6 a glass is about right. I received my bill and I noticed I'm charged $9 for the glass. Not a huge deal. I brought it to the attention of the server and he informed me since he's been there it had always been $13 a glass. I showed him on their website it shows $10. He informed me that he'll take it to the manager, but she probably won't do anything about it. He came back a couple minutes later and said okay the manager was going to take care of it. So I look at my bill and it still says $9. He said no she's not going discounted it, she's going to take care of it online. Today I looked online and of course it's still showing $10. Sometimes the littlest things can feel like bigger things to the guest. That day I felt that the server and the manager did not value me as their guest and sadly made me feel like I don't want to return! read more

BUYER BEWARE of Wine Ranch Grill and Cellars in Old Town. Went to happy hour today and ordered a "Classic house burger" from the happy hour menu. It shows the price of 14.00 dollars on the menu. We got the bill and were charged 27.00 for the "Classic house burger". We questioned the charge and were told that the "Classic house burger" on the happy hour menu we ordered is a much smaller burger than the burger we were served. They did not adjust the bill so we paid full price and will not be back. Be careful that you specify happy hour item even if you are ordering off of the Happy hour menu, where I pointed when ordering the burger. We have also have had a few times in the past where they have charged full price for happy hour beer. Make sure you double check your bill before paying! read more

Let me tell you about the food first, huge and delicious. We had the BLTA which comes in a croissant with avocado, scrumptious. Side order of Mac n cheese was in a large bowl that could feed a party of four, or two kids. It was spiral pasta that tasted like I would make it at home, super cheesy and super good. I had a firehouse bbq burger. The meat was about 1/2 pound so come hungry. The fires were pretty cool and sliced like thin wedges or flat which was nice. The spicy bacon was not overpowering and tasted great. We also had flatbread. The flatbread was more like a pizza. The crust was much puffier than your traditional flatbread, once again, come hungry. The final meal was a Cobb salad lunch size. Even the lunch size was amazing. Taste was great too. Our server Samantha was very nice and very helpful. Been coming to Wine Ranch for a couple years now. Their flatbreads and burgers have always been good, loved their brussel sprouts and risotto. But now everything is different. Their risotto was undercooked and for some reason they thought about adding cherry tomatoes???? Their previous peas risotto was so creamy and just cooked really well. Now it sucks. Their truffle fries and sweet potato fries were so salty. The flat bread we order was the chicken bbq and wow it was so pale and definitely needs more cook time. We also ordered their shrimp linguini and it was about 75% capers! Definitely way too much capers and whatever else they put in there. Even their vanilla ice cream sucked! Costco icecream has a way more creamy vanilla icecream. This will be our last visit there for sure. Very disappointed. Not sure what happened. Wine Ranch has always been great. My dad wanted to go out to brunch. The seating of 5 is a dark corner, not ideal for seniors with poor vision so we opted a better lit area and an extra chair. The place felt cold and my parents were ready to go and get someplace warmer. The tap water tasted like chemical chlorine so didn't drink the water. The mimosas were good. My parents got the French toast. Very generous portions and probably could have just gotten one plate and share. They took some leftovers home. My turkey club on a croissant was ok. I suppose I had another vision of it but the thing was huge mostly due to the lettuce and I really hate having to break apart a sandwich to eat it. I think it could have been maybe grilled and pushed own more so I can get everything in one bite. My son liked the crab cake Benedict. My husband got the fried steak but the toasted (or limp) bread smelled and tasted rancid - like Ajax. Between that and the water smelling chemically, we were kind of grossed out by the whole experience. We told the waitress of the bread and she offered more breakfast potatoes which I think is the best thing on the plates, he declined. I mean for a $160 bill which is steep for brunch, I was just thinking have better tasting water (filtered) and tasty bread, make the room feel more warm, music was so loud I couldn't hear my parents across the small table, so just make the music more mellow and chill, less loud. I think it will be awhile if we decide to come back. Sitting outside under shade on a beautiful warm day, we enjoyed the piped-in music and especially the service from our server, Hope! The service here used to be poor, so we have avoided going for a long time, but Hope made all the difference, and no, she's not a relation that we are trying to support.
