That being said, I had a serious framerate issue with my gaming desktop, and was doing troubleshooting on it for two weeks. I consulted Reddit, I wiped everything besides the BIOS, ran plenty of diagnostics, gave it a good dusting, but nothing fixed the issue. I finally decided to take it in and have someone look at the hardware, realizing most likely I had a busted chord or fan somewhere that would need to be replaced. I gave Scott a rundown, and he told me he would call me when he figured it out. He called me ten minutes later, so quickly I did not see the call until they had already closed. I then worked the rest of the week with Alicia who did all the replacements for my cooling system, graphics card and power core. Just got it home and have my computer running better than when I first bought it due to the new upgrades. I cannot recommend them enough, they are very knowledgeable and Alicia is a saint. I have…read morea Dell desktop and although it is relatively new, for several months I have been having problem with it just randomly shutting down. I'm out of the service contract with Dell and just felt they wouldn't be much help. I preferred someone who could look at and analyze my system. But I work from home and constantly on the computer, I really was hoping to get someone who could come out. I was able to speak to Lindsey over the phone and get an appointment for the next day. I blocked off several hours hoping to get an answer. Lindsey arrived on time and brought her own equipment. I explained my problem and right away she went to work going through some of the basics with the computer to ensure everything was working as it should be and no viruses. Once that was all finished, she did more diagnostics, letting me know everything she was doing as she was doing it. In the end, she made some adjustments that we both hoped would resolve my issue without having to replace any of the hardware. It has been only a few days since, but I would say for now my computer is running so much smoother and quieter and no issues with the computer shutting down. Again, it has only been a week, but even if I do experience the problem I was having again, at least Lindsey told me what the next step would be. This is one of those businesses you hope you never need, but if you are in need of any repairs to your computer, Lindsey is extremely knowledgeable, quick, explains everything and having someone come to you and do the work right there is well worth it.

But before looking at my laptop, Lindsey told me she was very sure it would be the screen issue. So I purchased a new screen and she replaced it. After replacing the screen, the flickering got worse. She said it was not the screen issue, the wire needed to be replaced. Then she replaced the wire and then the screen is not usable at all, it is flashing and hurting my eyes. Them she said the mother board needs to be replaced. At this moment I don't trust her anymore. If you can't fix a problem, at least do not make it worse. My laptop was not perfect but still usable before her repair. But after that I have to connect my laptop to a monitor in order to use it. Also it is very unlikely to get call back from them. I have to keep calling them.

Mike needs to stop and consider what he is putting his hands on. He didn't listen whenever I tried to tell him that the computer had a screw that was stuck in it. He ended up ripping the back off of my computer. He ended up at least having the decency to refund the money. But now I am out the money to replace the parts and a computer stuff full of unnecessary chemicals because he refused to listen! I submitted an online ticket and dropped off my laptop. I heard no update all weekend or on Monday, so I called on Tuesday morning when they opened at 10 a.m., stating I would be picking up my laptop and looking at other places to get an estimate. SURE ENOUGH someone had picked up my laptop right after I left a voicemail stating I was unsatisfied with the timeframe, received no updates on my laptop, and was taking my business elsewhere. I was charged $50 for someone to "look at it" when I didn't want the service anymore. I had to pay the $50 to get the laptop, and I called THREE different numbers multiple times to stop the process, but that was clearly ignored.  This business is no good for UT students who need their laptops fixed quickly, efficiently, and at a reasonable price. They were going to charge me $300 for service and replacement. In comparison, I went down the street to 1Up Repairs and was quoted $170.  Overall, I am frustrated with receiving no updates, finally getting in contact with someone after the service I did not want was completed, and the service charge of $50 that was not known unless you scroll to the very bottom of the website and then it states it in very small letters. They scam people out of $50 and try to say, "It says it on the website and every time we call." Well, I never received a call back from the 15 calls and voicemails I left until the inspection was completed, so I never got to hear that they would charge me $50 for an inspection.

You know the rest--internet went down, and Spectrum said they couldn't fix it NOR could they replace the old modem. This is a busy Saturday, I'm in the weeds with cases, my hospital administrator is gone, we can't even use our phones. Nightmare scenario, and DataSavior is closed. I called them with a cell (in a panic so I couldn't even explain what was happening), got right through to Brian, and he talked the Spectrum guy through setting everything back up.
