This was my first time trying this salon. I heard it's usually busy but I was fortunate enough to book a same day appointment for gel pedicure. My technician was Jenny and she is so incredibly sweet and attentive. She frequently checked in with me throughout the service to make sure everything was to my liking and just made the overall experience very enjoyable. The space is super cute and very clean with pedicure service in the front and manicure services toward the back of the space. They even have an adorable refreshment bar for clients. This is my go-to nail spot whenever I'm in LA! I always go to Tina, and she does such a good job every time. She can do any nail art idea I bring in, and I trust her opinion when I can't decide what I want. The pricing is reasonable, the quality is great, and they use real Aprés Gel-X, so my nails actually last and don't break. I've been to other places that say they use Gel-X, but it's definitely not the same. I also brought my mom here when she was nervous about getting her nails done, and they made her feel really comfortable, which I appreciated. Honestly I like this place. In my former review I happily gave 5 stars. I referred so many here. But many disappointing mani/pedis later I won't be coming back. There are just too many mishaps, too many sloppily addressed issues, overridden appointments and a lack of service. I tried to be understanding, after all, work shouldn't be our entire lives right? But when you are at work you should do your best and as much as you can and not fault the customer for something you clearly did wrong. And then charge them extra for it. We all work hard for our money so we should really spend on things and services that are worthwhile. I know I will. So I guess I'm back on the hunt for a nail salon. read more

Came here to get a Mother's Fay treat for myself. I'm absolutely in love with this nail salon. They are super friendly and the service is immaculate. Sophie did my manicure and she's super OCD and my nails look so bomb. I'm trying to grow out my nature nails but the nail salon I used to go to ruined my nail bed so, it's going to be a process. Sophie suggested I add a build to my manicure to help with the brittle nails and they feel like my real nails and not the bulky texture most places makes my nails feel. I went with a pretty purple color this time. Nini did my pedicure this time. She did my manicure last time. She did a great job at my callus removal. My feet feel baby soft. It's starting to be an annual tradition of coming here on my birthday to treat myself to a nice pedicure. My nail tech this time was Jenny, and she was so kind and had a very friendly personality. I asked her if she could give me some top coat on my finger where my polish chipped a bit (I got my nails done elsewhere), and she rejected my request to pay for it. Also, when I mentioned it was my birthday, I guess she relayed it to the lady who rang me up because they asked for my ID and gave me a 20% discount. I went here for the first time to get a gel manicure for an interview I had. I wanted something simple, as I usually just do a buff and shine. Helen did my nails and she did a great job. This is the first time I got a gel manicure. The color was beautiful and was a Japanese gel which cost 5 dollars more. The thumb did start to chip a few days later but it was minimal, couldn't notice it for interview. It was probably me packing and doing the most for this interview. During my last visit, I was contacted hours later and told I was undercharged for a service and asked to return to pay an additional $20. I understand that mistakes happen, but being contacted after the appointment felt a bit uncomfortable and left me feeling undervalued as a regular client. Although I had paid $170 with tip, I trusted the correction when it was brought to my attention. Since I was no longer in the area, I offered to Zelle the $20. The experience left me a little unsure. We arrived on a weekend morning to get a clean, trim, and simple color for an upcoming summer trip. Park in the small back lot or there's also plenty of street parking. I honestly hate writing negative reviews, but people should know how this salon treats its customers. The first two times I came here, everything was great. I liked the work so much that I recommended the salon to both of my sisters. If my experience had stayed that way, I would have continued coming back. Unfortunately, my third visit was awful. The woman who did my pedicure completely messed up the shape of my toenails. They were crooked and uneven, and it was obvious. I was disappointed, but I decided to let it go because everyone can have an off day. When I came back for my next appointment, they tried to assign me to the same woman again. Because of my previous experience, I politely asked if someone else could do my pedicure. Instead of being understanding, I was told everyone else was busy. Meanwhile, I could literally see other employees sitting around on their phones and staring at me. What happened next is what really blew my mind. Rather than trying to resolve the situation or make things right, they later texted me telling me that I was no longer welcome at the salon and neither were my sisters. Let that sink in. I got banned because I asked for a different technician after one of their employees did a poor job. I've never experienced anything like this from a business before. Any professional salon should understand that not every client is going to be comfortable with every technician, especially after a bad experience. Instead of handling the situation professionally, they took it personally and chose to lose not just one customer, but three. The irony is that I was the one bringing them new clients. My sisters only went there because I recommended the salon. To be treated this way after supporting their business is honestly insulting. There are plenty of nail salons out there that value their customers and know how to handle feedback without banning people for speaking up. I won't be returning, and I definitely won't be recommending this place to anyone again. read more

I've been coming to Tea Nails Bar monthly for over a year and always had positive experiences, which makes today especially disappointing. My nails turned out great, but I was surprised when the total came to $120. After paying, I politely asked to see the menu so I could better understand the pricing and nail art tiers for future visits. The older woman that was ringing me up at the register was clearly annoyed by my questions. I overheard her say in Vietnamese, "She's being so annoying. She already paid, so why does she keep asking about the price?" as she's going to get the menu for me. I did appreciate Lisa coming up to the register and explaining the price was due to all the gemstones. I also did let her know that the other technicians should not talk about their customers in their face like that regardless of them understanding Vietnamese or not. That completely changed my perception of this salon. Asking about pricing is a reasonable question, and it was upsetting to hear staff speak negatively about a loyal customer. I love when businesses can take accountability and make things right :) The shop is very clean and everyone is so nice. They also have plenty of colors and styles to choose from. I make tons of videos every week for different brands, so I love to have my nails done ALWAYS. The blue set I got last time was gorgeous and I received tons of compliments. You can show them any nail design and they'll make it happen. With that being said, this is my third set of nails with this shop and I learned today that dip powder nails can change or melt due to the weather! I like this place because it's roomier than most salons and they have a large selection of polishes, both gel and regular. However, I've asked them on multiple visits to not cut the corner of my big toe and they do it anyway. Also, the services applicable to their loyalty program must be $50+, otherwise it won't count. The paint job is also not the best, it's usually messy or the top coat is just carelessly painted on. The parking is always difficult for me because it's mainly street parking and it's always a gamble. read more

Been here 3 times total but every tech I've had do my pedicures has been great! I've gone with Rosa, Emily and Jenny. My feet always look great and they're meticulous with their work. The nail polish always lasts me a long time. I got a gel mani in December and I didn't fully get it off until February when I had to get it removed for school. I called days ahead to book an appointment at 1 PM with my mom and then another guest came in and they treated them first before us.
