Spur of the moment scheduled an appointment and came in with neutral expectations, nervous because of how long my hair was. Ella was my stylist and she made me feel very welcome and comfortable. She ended up cutting off about nine inches of hair and I was super nervous that it would end up too short, but she perfectly cut my hair just like my inspiration pictures and I have never been happier. When I arrived for my appointment, I found the salon permanently closed and the door locked. After some digging, I saw a Facebook post stating the business had closed, but relying solely on a Facebook post is not sufficient when the booking system is still active and sending confirmation texts. As an out-of-town client, there was no way for me to know my appointment was no longer valid. No call, no text, no cancellation notice. This was not a casual appointment -- it was for a wedding -- and the lack of communication forced me to scramble at the last minute. If a business is closing, booked clients should be proactively notified and all booking systems disabled. This situation could have been avoided with basic communication. Thankfully, I was able to find another salon last minute -- Primp and Blow Chandler -- who completely saved the day. Five stars to them for stepping in on short notice and doing an amazing job.

I requested a few inches off, layers, face framing, and subtle curtain bangs for more versatility. Ann not only delivered but made some suggestions, like shorter layers and slightly less length off, that made a difference. I've honestly never gotten so many compliments on my usual haircut. And it's so low-maintenance, looking voluminous with my natural hair texture (and occasionally a 30-second blow dry to tame the bangs) after each hair wash. Coincidentally, I ended up transferring to AZ a few years later and was thrilled to reconnect with Jessica once again.
