The views of this restaurant are quite enjoyable. Our waitress was quite sweet and personable but was quite busy for the duration of our meal. I was excited for my King Salmon BLT and ceaser salad but it was a bit underwhelming. The salmon was a great portion but there was a significant amount of fatty portion and the amount of butter on the bread took away from the salmon. The salad was smeared with an overwhelming of bland dressing. Their clam chowder was tasteful but had strong hints of celery. Loved this place! The parking lot is so nice especially for Seattle there's usually no parking anywhere except on the street. The food was amazingggg! I got the ravioli and it was perfect. My boyfriend got a burger and the meat was perfect. The portions are perfect size so you don't get overly full and have room for dessert. Usually I use Fiji and Leschi BWb water either goes through a magic filtration or connected to a clearest well in King co. Go there with a canister and ask for H2O. Food was good. Hit this place up for HH! Got the sautéed prawns, Thai wings and the king salmon. Prawns were delicious and so was the salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and he prawns had a garlic and pesto flavor that was really good. The wings had a burnt taste to them that I wasn't a fan of. Maybe it was a bad batch I don't know. Spent about $25 for all three items which was great but next time I'll pass on the wings. read more

I haven't tried brunch or dinners here, just happy hours and appetizers. I pretty much loved here during the summer. They have a huge seating space. Outside, you can sit enclosed along the Main Street or in the back overlooking Bellevue, Lake Washington and the 90. Inside, the have a big bar area near the pool table, a lounge area near the fireplace, and mixed table and booth seating. We always got their ceviche because it had a legit amount of seafood rather than the veggie fillers. The tortilla chips they serve with it are a hearty serving sprinkled with a lime cilantro pepper. We also ventured into their mussels as well. Would love to come for brunch or one of their holiday events with live music. They have a parking lot as well as street parking with a 2 hr limit until 6pm. Keep that in mind for planning purposes :) read more

While large in portion, both entrees lacked greatly in flavor. I can't even recall if I could distinguish the crab in my mahi? The one item that we actually both liked was the dessert. Came here after Seafair yesterday after a picnic to hang out with friends for a while longer. We sat outside by the bar area, not on the water. Service was timely and the server was friendly. Felt pretty netural towards the whole experience. The bread given to the table wasn't very good. Super crumbly and hard (is that combination possible?) I don't like crumbs. I did like the chili-ish oil they brought. Looked as if it were house-made. It was just SOOO oily and filled the small bowl to the brim. Less is more, less is more.... Ordered the only vegetarian pizza on the menu with extra sauce and some poke. Friends ordered the sausage pizza to share. Poke was presented beautifullyyyy, however it was SOOO salty. And for the amount on the plate, it was very overpriced. It's almost a sin to salt such beautiful fish like that! Also, the three of us that shared the poke were in the bathroom for quite some time after getting home and the next morning :( UGH! Makes me wonder how fresh their fish is. TMI, sorry! The pizza was decent, I liked the fluffy crust, I don't think they added extra sauce though. No complaints. Our waitress was nice, and smiley but not very cheerful. When asking her to pack up our food to go, she kind of just asked us to finish it haha. One guy gave in and she packed up the rest to go. At one point, she knocked my fork off my plate and it fell on the floor and she promptly brought me another fork/napkin wrap; also miscounted number of glasses for drinks and initial waters. It didn't bug me, just thought it was a little off. Was tempted to order the s'mores campfire dessert, but had been sitting there wayyy to long and was itching to leave by then so I opted out. A really beautiful restaurant with a great view of the water. Our waitress, Naomi, was super nice and provided great service. The cooks were super accommodating and added pineapple to my daughter's kid's mini pizza even though it was not part of the menu. I had the ceviche which was amazing with healthy portions of shrimp, halibut, and scallop. My sister-in-law has the cowboy ribeye with mash potatoes and corn, which looked and tasted delicious. read more

I've been going to the BluWater since I was young. I love this place and visit often. I made a reservation for a 10-person bachelorette party for 4 p.m. in their lounge. We were asked to lower our voices by our server shortly after our arrival. We were being loud, but confused because there was one diner in the same area who had been laughing along with us and only one other table in the entire restaurant, which was in the far back corner away from the lounge. Not sure we could turn the volume of our large group down, we immediately decided we should leave out of respect for other diners and asked our server to close us out for the first round of drinks. However, a manager then approached us and escalated the situation by telling us we needed to "get out because of our whore mouths," that our money was no good, and that he was going to call the cops if we didn't leave immediately. We were already on our way out, and this misogynist on a power trip felt he needed to put a group of 30-year-old women having a great time in their places. This is not how you run a business, and there is never a time and place to tell a woman she has a whore mouth. We will not tolerate this behavior. The group of us that came in is made up of a data scientist, physicist, advertising and marketing professionals, mental health provider, business owners, and teachers. We will not be silent. We will be heard. Time's up. *UPDATE* In between writing this review and posting it, new information has come to light. One of our friends called the restaurant to file a complaint against the manager who used the derogatory term against us, and found out that he is actually the owner of BluWater. He laughed, asked her if that was all, and hung up. After that, he called my mom. I repeat, he called my MOTHER, who was not present during the incident. He asked her if she was my mom, she said she was. She then asked him how he got her number and he told her that her name was under the reservation, which is not true as MY NAME was on the reservation. So he must have looked up people who had my last name and called hoping he'd get a relative. She reported that he was very odd on the phone. At first he said he wanted to de-escalate the situation and that he had received multiple calls of physical threats from our group (another lie). When he realized she already had heard about the incident, he became testy with her, told her that him calling her was a bad idea, and that he had filed a police report against us (most likely another lie since we were peacefully leaving the restaurant during the ordeal). I am appalled and shocked that this is the OWNER of BluWater. Obviously we won't be going back to his establishment, and this will NOT be the last time you hear from me. read more

Stopped by for the magnificent view - restaurant was not too full on a weekday. Seated promptly and greeted with glorious view of both Mt Rainier and Bellevue. The sunset gleamed off Bellevue and it was a picture perfect view from the corner seat. On to the food... Clam chowder was standard fare, nothing special. The King salmon appetizer was exceptionally good - very tender and flavorful - cooked just right and had a nice charbroiled hint and a lovely sauce - the blend with fresh spinach was excellent, I can highly recommend it. We had the pork chop for the main, and sadly it let us down...the meat did not smell or taste fresh and was not very well seasoned - almost bland thought some of the broil taste almost saved it. The apple could have should have blended nicely with the pork, but something was off overall. Service was not very good - we had to wait long periods of time between being able to get the attention of the server even though the restaurant was mostly empty. Furthermore the server was very inattentive to the fact a cold draft was coming from the outside every time she went to serve the people outside - I had to shut the door myself each time she went out to prevent a chill - the bus boy had good sense to close the door but the server was more intent on her own convenience rather than the comfort of the customers. Wanted to like the place more on account of the perfect view but the food and service were a little short of expectation. read more

Very friendly place that takes care of their patrons like family! One night I went there and when I arrived I realized I realized I forgot my debit card. Doh! They are so nice to me and I've been going there 11 years. I'm moving in 5 days and they treat me like gold. I'm going to miss their friendly faces. I love this place! They have just enough outdoor seating, great music, wonderful staff! They definitely are busy during summer especially on weekends but always worth the wait. BluWater has a wonderful happy hour also. I have tried all of the salads & love them. Their pastas are great. The jerk chicken, calamari, fish & chips are usually my go to's! Great location, parking can be horrible to find sometimes you have to park a bit away. I also loooove the smores on the table dessert, even has a mini campfire for your table. I must be the eternal optimist. Every single time I come here the experience ranges from mediocre to outright frustrating. But for some reason, every time I do come here I expect it will be a nice place for a drink and a few appetizers. I DID give up on the restaurant part of the place after several bland and overpriced meals. But the bar has a good patio(unfortunately facing the parking lot and street, not the water) and a cozy couch and fireplace area. But the service here is almost always unreliabe. Tonight is a good example. It was very very quiet for a Sunday because of the rain. We wait Literally 15 minutes before anyone comes by. Finally a waitress takes our drink and food orders. Five minutes later another waitress brings water and asks us if we'd like to see a menu."uhm. No thanks we already ordered." Then she brings our drinks I'd clearly ordered a Whiskey Sour but she brings a bourbon and coke. She takes it back and I hear the other waitress saying something about how she thought I'd said bourbon and coke.."Uhm.no. I don't drink bourbon and coke." We got Queso Fundido and waited quite awhile for pita to arrive to eat it with. Sadly, since I live nearby,I'm sure I'll come here again with high expectations and leave feeling disappointed. Call me naive, but I came to a place near the water on the hottest day of the year and still expected decent service. We got there after happy hour ended and proceeded to wait a long time before we received any service, The check from the previous party was still on the table, dirty napkins and table. After while I went to the hostess to see if we could at least get a glass of water. When we finally did get our water, our waitress came and took our order and casually said, "Yeah, it's been busy". (Insert blank stares) We had enough and were ready to walk out. I asked to speak to the manager and he made sure we were taken care of. I really appreciated how he handled the situation. This place has really gome down hill throughout the years. Used to be a finer dining spot with a great view, good eats and desserts and atmosphere. Upon my last visit... the decor hasn't been updated in over 5 years, the food quality has gone down and the prices gone up, they took away the chocolate fondue (what made them special imo), and even the tollhouse magic cookie was still good but a tablespoon scoop of ice cream is too skimpy. The Host sat us right away and took our drink order, can't beat a good $3.50 Bloody Mary! The waitress brought our drinks over in a timely manner and we were ready to order. My husband got an egg, sausage and potato plate which he had no complaints. I ordered the eggs Benedict which I thought was done well! Potatoes were good. Honestly. With all of the local restaurants offering insanely delicious dishes - but with lists of ingredients that may be local, but of some we've never heard. This was a really welcomed change. I was first in line, awaiting to check in for reservation, someone from behind the line comes up to the front of which I told the gentleman I was first and have a reservation, he told me to chill, tried to take that persons name for a table first. I asked for him not to tell me to calm down, we have a reservation and were patiently waiting. This older silver hair Caucasian male, I assume manager(restaurant please address this with him), needs training on customer service and how to address people in a respectful manner and not disrespect a woman like that. No silver ware or napkins when food came out, no refills on water. Asked for the check multiple times, they gave us the wrong check. I will never return. Needs massive training overhaul on customer service from every aspect, especially that presumed manager. Saddened to leave this review and the worst customer service experience. read more
