This is the divey-est of the dive bars but great! The service was excellent from the only bartender (that looked like Snooki). This place was packed from wall to wall with locals here for a good time, cheap beer & some karaoke. I don't get the Irish tower reference in the name, But still a cool local hole in the wall. read more

Walked into this bar trying get a drink and was disrespected by the bartender, calling me a high schooler, I'm 26 years old and they proceeded to not serve me because I looked too young even though I had my valid ID. Felt like I was being singled out for being the youngest in the bar and if yall don't want new faces that's fine won't ever try coming here again. read more

New to the neighborhood looking for places to hangout, clearly this bar won't be one of them. I showed up with my husband on a Saturday evening went to sit at the bar was told by the bartender I couldn't sit at the spot I chose because that's were the owner sits, so I needed to find a new spot. Any establishment that prefers to save seats for the owners and not cater to customers is not a place for me. Nevermind that by the time we left the seats for the "owners" were still empty. read more

Went for the first time and the vibe was dead. The place smells of vomit, body odor, feces, sewer, and dirty bathroom. The older karaoke lady was rude and caters to regulars only. She will not answer questions and tells you she is busy and go away. Technical issues make transition between songs take several minutes. The music stops while she tries to figure out how to use the equipment. Drinks are grossly overpriced. You must purchase 2 drinks to sing karaoke or they will roll their eyes at you and refuse to let you sing. Horrible place. read more

This review has been a very long time coming! I'm sort of a regular here because of their karaoke. William is the coolest KJ around and every night he's running it you're in for a great time. I'll be honest and say if you're here with the other KJ, you may encounter some attitude but you've just gotta chock it up to it being late I guess. That's really the only blemish on the business in my eyes, aside from a few regulars, but I really like the tower even so. I really don't come much for karaoke these days in case I find that William isn't here. The bartenders are all extremely kind and helpful and remain some of the most professional and coolest I've met in the business. Lynh has always been gracious, kind, and welcoming and as the boss has cleaned the bar up by getting rid of some problematic staff in the past and has 86'd some problematic customers. Trish is always a bright light. Gigi is always there to be silly and make a joke with you but throws down some serious cocktails. If you're looking for non alcoholic drinks then they have mocktails, non alcoholic beers, and sodas as well! Thank goodness for those. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. They really take care of their customers and regulars. It's the perfect dive bar you only hear about in country songs and I'll yee haw til the cows come home because of this place. Fun little dive bar with karaoke. Drinks are reasonable and the staff is friendly. I'd definitely return if I were in the area!

Mixed drinks are not good, stick to shots. Old security guard who walks with a cane gets belligerent drunk and will come close to tazing you, he threatened me by turning tazer on and waving near my leg--when he's really after someone else so be very careful. This old security guard said out loud about the man I was with, should he '"beat his ass....or kill him?". This was all over a payment for a drink that was about twent-five cents short and the person went to the car to get change. I almost called the cops on the security guard in fear of my life from getting tazed for no reason. Mind you, I'm sitting down quietly nursing the last of my drink waiting on my boyfriend to get change from the car. The person he was clearly was after was already outside in the parking lot, go figure but he aggressively comes after me talking a lot of crazy threats. The bartender/owner of the club did NOT stop the crazy, drunk security guard when he was clearly threatening towards me in front of other patrons. Tip to the owner: Hire a REAL security guard instead of hiring an old drunk friend who is clearly hanging with other patrons/family of owner at the bar and who clearly can't handle their liquor and a taze gun!!!! I would of called the police and sued if I would of got hurt for no reason!!!! Terrible experience, never coming back!!!! read more

I fell in love the moment I walked in the door. Dim lights, the way a real bar should be and a friendly face behind the bar inviting you in. At the end of my stay, the bartender, Julie was like my best friend. She is truly perfection.. personality, beauty and professional. By far, the best bar I've been to in YEARS. All because of JULI!! I guess I was extra lucky to meet her because she only works there Fridays, Mondays and Tuesdays. She asked me what I wanted to watch on Tv, played my favorite songs on the digital juke box, and even made us hot dogs..??? What kind of place is this? It was like we were in her home. Hidden in a strip mall is this Little gem. I stumbled across this by accident and from the outside you would never guess what a wonderful group of people are on the inside! I just loved the bartender her name was Julie, she was the absolute shining star of this place... just too much fun! She made me laugh all night long was right on top of all of the drinks for me and my friend. She told us about karaoke that they have there... so I had to come back to sing karaoke. Me and a couple of my friends met up and sang karaoke... we really enjoyed the host... he was fun, and very fair... we had a great time. The atmosphere doesn't feel like a lot of drama... just feels like a lot of wonderful people having a great time... you have to stop in and see this place it doesn't look like much but it sure is a wonderful clean environment that you will have a good time. Originally stopped at the Hawaiian Bar across the street. I don't think it's too much to ask that a building with a big sign that says "karaoke" actually has karaoke...but whatever. I went into Irish Tower and was greeted immediately by friendly faces. Lynn and Anh the owners were very sweet. Cynthia the KJ is a doll! So nice. Okay, so tonight, I was at the Irish Tower. If my English reaches 3rd grade proportions, it's only because at this place, they pour STRONG. Like, the way you think Kimbo Slice prolly smells after a workout type STRONG. Sure, I'm in Bellflower, reviewing another Bellflower spot, but then again, who's gonna stop me? The yelp police? Sorry, folks, they're not here to save you. Anyway, two things I have to say right off the top, aside from the yelp police thing and the strength of the adult beverages poured at the Irish Tower. First off, those people are honest-to-high-holy-god good people in there. Not just the bartenders, who make Flo from Alice's Diner look metrolpolitan, but the guests (clients? patrons? victims? when one knows the other people have been here longer and are drinking more and certainly have far fewer healthy liver cells, what the hell is the right term?) are some of the darn nicest folks you'd ever care to meet. The second thing is that while karaoke might sound god-awful going into the bar, it sure as hell sounds like Grammy material walking out. These folks karaoke like it's an Olympic event and all Federal taxes are paid for life if you make the team. It's awesome. And the pure friendliness is so markedly OUT THERE (token RR review with an ALL CAPS statement) that everyone walks out feeling so Frank Sinatra, they're ready to get in bed with the mob and make jokes at Dean Martin's expense. There is a bar across the street from the Tower, but frankly, it's really not any of the above. It's as close to self-serve as an establishment with a full liquor license can be, has all the ambiance of a Chinese morgue, and was to welcoming what Oprah is to pole-vaulting. So, if you've decided tonight is your DUI night, and you don't live within walking distance, all it takes is one trip to the Irish Tower. I love this bar. . . read more

I used to come here often. I mean, like every Fri or Sat. You will fall in love with Julie the Bartender and SHE will ALWAYS remember your name. That's a huge deal. Others have said it and it's true: this is a karaoke joint - first and foremost. So, try not to bring a date here....well, a FIRST date. Well, you can make it your second or third stop of the night, but it can get loud, so you won't be able to hear yourselves much. Secondly: this is a DIVE, karaoke joint. Don't be swayed by the lackluster front, or the fact that irish tower regulars run the place, or even by the drunken karaoke-fanatic who yells "stfu and respect your elders! I'm singing! 'Murica!" Irish Tower took a little warming up to but the people there are ridiculous fun, hilarious and sweet. Julie, the bartender makes sure you're cozied up & cared for real quick, drinks in hand; and the karaoke-tender (I'm sorry your name is slipping!) is forward, fun and sings backup when needed. Drinks were on point, jello shots were deliciously toxic, and the atmosphere was accepting of everything from old folk and country, to linkin park and classic rock!
