      This is top notch, grade A food and service! You're definitely going to feel it in your pockets but it's totally worth it. So here's a quick back story! Yah boy had been grinding all week at work and I felt like I needed to treat myself, so I ordered the boys Taco Bell from postmates, got them situated at the house and then I stepped out to grab me a steak. I had no clue where I was going, so I pulled over on the side of the street to see which steak place was open until 10pm because it was already like 8:40pm. Blvd closes at 10p on the weekends, so I shot to Sherman Oaks! I found parking across the street but they do offer valet but there was no need since metered street parking was free at that time. As I walked up, security opened the door for me, the hostess asked how many and took me to my table. The place was very nice with a huge bar in the middle. There was great music playing, which was 90's hip hop and some r&b. Apparently, the owner has a few famous hip hop artists investors and is a hip hop head himself. He also owns Taisho sushi restaurant across the street along with Anderson Paak (that's the word around town). Anyway, the place was very nice and classy! Definitely a grown folks vibe with hip millennials dressed nice at the bar and reciting the lyrics to the music and a few grooving to it as well. My waiter was great! He helped me decide on my order and I decided to go with a 6oz petite filet, the sautéed shrimp and the smashed broccoli. Everything was top notch! That steak was everything I could ask for and the bread and sauce together with the shrimp was that chef's kiss! I'm not going to lie, this place was so good that I told my wife about it and we went back two days later. With her we tried the meatballs, which were fire! We also got the wedge salad, which was good but the pancake croutons or whatever were a little weird and I got the same steak but with blue cheese crust and broccoli. We also got a few drinks (Peach Julep & Watermelon Margareta) and the butter cake with fresh strawberries and ice cream. All of which were amazing! We went all out! Our bill was crazy but it was well worth it just to get out and have a date night. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to have a date night. We were going to hit a movie or go dancing after but we were way to tired after all of that lol. Def hit this spot up for good food and great service! We'll be back for sure! OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

      Came by during dineLA to celebrate an early birthday! The dineLA menu is pretty good selection and filling. We shared the steak & pork chop entree, Wagyu meatball and shrimp appetizer, corn and shoestring fries sides and butter cake for dessert. Plus an extra lava cake for celebration! We put in reservations and saw there were lots of openings day of, but when we arrived it was pretty packed. It's a large space much like their sister restaurant Taisho with many booth tables, a large open bar area and an outdoors patio seating. Be aware there is a 3% surcharge.

      BLVD Steak opened up in November 2023 (when I first started coming here) and it's been a great addition to the SFV scene on this side of town. Ambiance: Modern with dark tones (some parts of the restaurant are dark), leather chairs, emerald-colored booths. It's definitely stylish, classy with a mix of intimacy; there's some good energy here. The square shaped bar is stylish with marbled counter and chair stool seating; there's a couple TVs within view sitting in this section. There's also the main dining room as well as a partially covered patio. Good music. I've sat in the bar as well as the main dining room and find them both enjoyable. Service: Service has always been great the times I have been with everyone being professional, friendly and addressing needs easily from ownership, management, and all staff members. Food: A good mix of starters, fresh seafood, salads, steaks of course, various side dishes, and some other entrees. A few of my favorites include the wagyu meatball steak tartare jumbo shrimp cocktail chopped salad 6 oz petit filet 32 oz porterhouse mashed potato mac & cheese The steaks I've ordered have been cooked well to my liking and the meats have always been tender and seasoned well. The wagyu meatball is very tender with good flavor, the vodka sauce is not overpowering. Love the chopped salad with the red wine vinaigrette and the crunch from the crispy chickpeas. Mashed potatoes are creamy and very good. The jumbo shrimp cocktail is great and comes with three shrimps served with lemon, mustard aioli and cocktail sauce. Drinks: Great classic and off-menu cocktails, a couple beers, a couple non-alcoholic cocktails/mocktails, champagne and a wonderfully curated wine list. My ultimate favorite is the BLVD martini made with gin. It automatically comes with a half-filled side shaker effectively giving you an extra pour for a great value and experience. Happy hour: 5-6pm in the bar only, featuring some discounted cocktails and foods (from the main menu but with the addition of a burger) Parking: There is valet parking available (currently at $15). There is street metered parking as well on Ventura Blvd. Prices: Comparable to other steak house establishments. drinks: cocktails $19-26, wines (glass) $14-40, starters: $6-48 (the main ones are in mid to high $20's), seafood: $29-mp, salads: $19-20, sauces/butters/toppers $2-28, sides:$15-42 (the main ones are in the $15/16 range), steaks: $62-198, other entrees/favorites: $32-56, happy hour: expect to find cocktails at $12-19, wines/champagne $12-59, food $8-87) in the bar only 5-6pm Fun Facts: -Their sister restaurants are Taisho and Casita which you can find within a few blocks -BLVD Steak opened up a second location in Calabasas in 2026

      It has been a while since I've been to BLVD Steak and was so excited to go last night. Starting with the appetizers - Wagyu meatball in vodka sauce with parmesan flaked on top - so soft and delicious melt in your mouth meatballs! - yellowtail crudo - refreshing and delicious - cesar salad - um those roasted garlic croutons are so perfect, they are softly crunchy and so flavorful! And that soft flakey parmesan grating on top, so good. To drink - Water - I was happy that the waitress was attentive and kept our water glasses full - Blood Orange Mule - still my favorite in the black Mule Cup! I recommend, it is refreshing and delicious! - Some of my friends had the Watermelon Margarita and they said it was very delicious and refreshing For my entree - 6 oz petit filet - Oh man, cooked to perfection! The meat just melted in my mouth just like the meatball and cooked exactly to what I asked. On the side: Mac and Cheese (soooo smooth and cheesy), Mashed potato (I loved getting little chunks of potato which meant it was real potato), and sauteed spinach (I LOVE that the spinach was not doused in any cream, it is delicious and healthy and well I love spinach so I ate more spinach than anyone at the table haha. - One of my friends got the Steak Frites which I must comment on because her plate looked amazing, I will post the photo, it's truly a bed of shoestring fries with a very generous piece of steak! For dessert to share with the table - Butter cake - this is my favorite, with those macerated strawberries and honestly you don't even need the ice cream that sits on top because it's so delicious even without it! - Cheesecake with amarena wild cherries on top, Look I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake, but the cheesecake here is so delicious, it tastes fresh and not heavy. For me the cherries on top are truly a cherry on top! If you have never tried BLVD Steak, check it out, especially for a date night, or just to hang out at the bar.

      What an amazing place in Sherman Oaks! Love the atmosphere, amazing service and our server Annie was truly sweet and helpful. The steak we had was made perfectly, the sides were yummy and wine selection was so on point. They also have great happy hour to enjoy before dinner. Highly recommended.

      Another terrific experience at Blvd. Steak, where six of us managed to snag a corner of the bar and enjoy Friday Happy Hour at the start of the July 4th holiday weekend. As always, the staff brought their A-game, making sure we were able to hold spots as people in our party arrived in different vehicles, and making drinks quickly, exactly as requested. Our group variously ordered an array of martinis, shrimp cocktail, crab cocktail, steak tartare, a burger, French fries and cake. Yes, it WAS the start of a holiday! Of this wide-ranging order, my own items were a most excellent gin martini with blue cheese olives, served frosty cold and perfectly prepared, followed by a top notch shrimp cocktail that was fresh, cold, very flavorful, and steaming from dry ice. Still feeling peckish, I also ordered the steak tartare: again, a fresh and properly chopped mix of beef, egg and seasonings, served with garlic crostini. This was a very tasty, very "clean" expression of tartare, with the beef being allowed to shine rather than having too much creaminess masking its flavor. And so, once again, Blvd. Steak came through with a great meal and a great time in a room that somehow always feels both comfortable and celebratory. Happy 4th!!

      During recent trip we had the pleasure of meeting Christy/ie. She was especially wonderful when I asked about the quality of their lettuce/produce (because you know, exploding bowels and whatnot). Not only did she ask the chef's first hand the answer, she came back and showed me documentation. She went above and beyond, and I truly appreciated it. It also meant that I was able to try the delicious Caesar salad that I hear everyone rave about. We also were able to partake of the crab cake, wagyu ribeye, and our must-haves of pretzel bread and truffle gnocchi. We are also slowly making our way through the cocktail list. Banana maitai (I think would be even better if you added ice cream to it and made it a alchy-float) Espresso martini with reposado! (Validation! I prefer tequila over gin and this helped prove my palate was correct) Dessert wise, you can't go wrong with the butter cake. We also tried the chocolate cake. Both are excellent, and if you have room, then get both. Special thanks to Chad for always being amazing and welcoming us so warmly. Additionally, I truly appreciate it when my little one was looking for the bathroom and Chad kindly pointed them to the correct door.

      Tried BLVD Steak for the first time last night with a few friends and had a great experience. We didn't have a reservation, so we grabbed seats at the bar, which ended up being AMAZING. There's valet available for $14, which is super convenient, but you can also find street parking if you get lucky. I got there a little early and started with a glass of Prosecco, then had a dirty martini that was delicious. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable, and the bartenders were incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a really enjoyable night.

      Dinner for my cousins birthday was EXCELLENT! Everything we ordered was delicious and on point.

      Highly recommend you stop by and enjoy an excellent dinner with delicious cocktails!! The service was amazing and the staff were lots of fun also. BLVD Steak was small but cozy and not so loud that we couldn't enjoy ourselves and joke the entire time we were there! We will be back, would love to get our waitress phone number that did a standup job of photo bombing us!! Her recommendations were all top notch.

      This place is fantastic! It was a real pleasure being able to visit and indulge in all of the delicious options offered at BLVD Steak! For appetizers, we tried the Wagyu beef meatball, the scallops (which were a special of the night), and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail was so soft and delicious and the presentation was superb! The scallops had a great flavor and the Wagyu beef meatball was delicious and soft. For my man course, I ordered the day's special wich was a Wagyu beef steak with a balsamic glaze and it was amazingly soft and flavorful. Others at my table had a bite and also raved about it. They do steak right at this restaurant. Additionally, my favorite side dish was the mushrooms. I highly recommend if you enjoy mushrooms. Our server was very kind and personable. Everything about the experience was top tier.

      Last night was my first time at Blvd Steak, and I had a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The seared steak was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and incredibly tender. The mashed potatoes were creamy and so good, and the crispy broccoli was hands down one of the best sides I've had. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and very helpful throughout the entire meal, which made the experience even better. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere--upscale without feeling overly formal. It's a great spot for a date night, celebration, or just a nice dinner out. One thing I really appreciated was that it isn't a sports-bar type of place with TVs everywhere, so you can actually enjoy the ambiance and conversation. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

      My significant other and I visited BLVD Steakhouse for the first time for my birthday. A good friend has raved about the restaurant for quite some time, so I was excited to give it a try. I enjoyed everything about the restaurant, and I look forward to going back. We had an early reservation and were seated right away upon arrival in a great booth that was spacious and had a view of the entire dining area on the side we were on. Upon being seated, our server, Jon, stopped by right away to welcome us. We had a few minutes to look at the menu, and Jon let us know about the evening's specials. We decided on a seafood tower for two, 6 oz filets, a loaded baked potato, and a lobster tail. The lobster tail was a special for the evening, at a smaller size than the usual one on the menu. Well, I must have gotten lucky because it was large to me. Everything was delicious. Once we were finished, Jon brought over a birthday dessert with a fun sparkler in it. The dessert was butter cake and ice cream, which was an enjoyable finish to the evening. Overall, I really enjoyed all the food that I tried, and Jon went above and beyond to make my birthday dinner very special.

I assume he's there during brunch hours, as he left around 3 pm when brunch ended. I started with a frozen lime margarita ($12). It was okay; it felt like it was only half frozen as the ice wasn't blended that well. For my main, I got the famous Anejo carne asada and shrimp plate for $40. Yes it was pricy, but the portion size was also huge! I was starving and somehow managed to finish the plate, but it'd be a great dish to share for two people with small appetites. I really enjoyed it as well. I asked for the steak to be cooked rare, and they didn't overcook it. Each bite was super tender and flavorful and paired well with the rice. Everyone else also enjoyed their dish. One friend got the wet chicken burrito for $15 and it was massive! Another got the veggie fajitas with steak added and really enjoyed her dish as well. He brought out a dish we did not order (which he swapped for the correct one) and he forgot to bring the cocktail that my wife ordered. Again, no big deal. Now... the food. If you are looking for a sushi restaurant, this is not for you. They do have some sushi, but it is very limited, and frankly the options they did have were wildly overpriced. Selling salmon sashimi for $40 is a huge ask. As for the atmosphere, it's a pretty sharp looking space, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but they leave all the windows and doors open at all times, so if it's a warm evening, you're going to be hot even if you sit outside. Also, the music gets progressively louder as nightfall progresses, so it can be tough to have a conversation without shouting. Bottom line, if you're looking for a good sushi spot, there are half a dozen other places within walking distance that are, in my opinion, much better. If you're looking for a wider variety of Japanese cuisine, and have a few hundred extra dollars lying around, then go ahead and give Taisho a try.

You have to order at the bar and, though they have runners to bring your food, you do have to hunt them down for anything after the delivery (extra ketchup, etc). While this isn't my favorite system at my age, to be fair, whatever the owners are saving on staff is reflected in the prices, which are absolutely below most places in the area for food that is good-quality and drinks that are generously poured. So yes, my wife's Espresso Martini was served in a deep-bellied Belgium beer glass, and my whiskey neat was a hefty pour. Yay!! For food, I ordered the Smash Burger, which is served with melted American, grilled onions and the house version of Russian dressing (as well as pickles, which I deleted). The burgers had a nice, smashed crust while remaining juicy, the cheese was properly melted, and the grilled onions had a terrific caramelized sweetness, while the house sauce was very well-balanced: ketchupy and creamy without being too mayonnaise-heavy. A very good smasher. My wife ordered the Big Texan Burger because she wanted cheddar and frizzled onions and BBQ sauce, though she deleted the bacon and pork belly that are normally included. This, too, was a very good burger: cooked to a proper and pleasing medium-rare and well-seasoned, with a good, fresh flavor to the beef. The onion rings were less successful, which are of the beer batter type, but seemed to be a commercial, frozen product. The coating was browned but not crisp, and the flavor was relatively nondescript. We didn't really eat them, and wouldn't order them again. And so, to me, The Tipsy Cow is a bit of a mixed bag: reasonably priced decent food and reasonably priced, generously-poured drinks -- but in a mostly self-serve environment that incrementally loses its appeal in relation to your age and your dining circumstances. Certainly worth a try, but you've gotta be in the right mood.

It was fairly easy to make a reservation through Opentable, and I made a reservation for two people for my birthday dinner on Sunday night. I put on the notes that it's my bday so it'll be nice to get a nice table near the stage. I didn't have a high expectation, cos I'd never been to the place and I didn't make a call or anything. But wow, they definitely gave us a great table at the very front! As many reviewers had mentioned, the acoustic of the restaurant is really great. You can barely hear other people's conversations. There's a live jazz band playing, so you can really enjoy that. Although it made it slightly hard to hear what other nearby people say to you either, haha. Our server Dawson was a really great one! Very nice, very informative and just has a great vibe that made you feel comfortable to converse with him. We also asked if he could take a picture of us and he went above and beyond with taking our pictures haha. He took the table lamp as our additional "lighting". Such a great service! Dawson also made a few suggestions on food. We ordered the milk bun (so great!), the tiger prawns tostada (omg, my favorite of the night!), braised lamb pasta, pork belly risotto, and roasted broccolini. Everything was really good and really filled us up! We also got the "smokin old fashioned" and "Wake up and repeat" cocktails. It was plenty of food for us so we asked for a check. Dawson asked if we wanted a dessert but we were already full. He asked if it's ok to give us a lil treat for my bday. It was a really nice dessert :). Oh I forgot to mention that they also put a small bday card on the table for me. The prices of food and drinks are on the higher sides, but I feel like it's worth it due to the live music and the vibe. It easily covers the entertainment part. We definitely will go back and recommend this place for anyone who's looking into a nice date night or to celebrate something special. I was informed that Friday has more of a "party vibe" here, although it's still a jazz performance. Sunday feels more laid back :) Overall I'm really pleased by this place. We got the tiger prawns and it was presented as a toasta, which had a great flavor and texture. The apple salad was also refreshing and a good portion to share between 2 people. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and my favorite after the tiger prawns was the Dungeness crab pasta. It had uni on top! The uni elevated the dish, and honestly there were a good amount of crab meat in the dish. Overall well balanced and creamy. The 2 of us left full and satisfied. If you are looking for a sushi restaurant, this is not for you. They do have some sushi, but it is very limited, and frankly the options they did have were wildly overpriced. Selling salmon sashimi for $40 is a huge ask. As for the atmosphere, it's a pretty sharp looking space, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but they leave all the windows and doors open at all times, so if it's a warm evening, you're going to be hot even if you sit outside. Also, the music gets progressively louder as nightfall progresses, so it can be tough to have a conversation without shouting. Bottom line, if you're looking for a good sushi spot, there are half a dozen other places within walking distance that are, in my opinion, much better. If you're looking for a wider variety of Japanese cuisine, and have a few hundred extra dollars lying around, then go ahead and give Taisho a try.

These were fairly ordinary button mushrooms, cooked whole, but cooked so well that their lack of fanciness didn't matter at all. For myself, I ordered the Steak Milanesa Sandwich, served on their crispy Argentine bread with tomatoes and mayo, plus a liberal dressing of spicy chimichurri that I added myself. It was a good sandwich, but the beef was sliced a bit too thin, becoming tougher than usual during the frying process. It wasn't in any way bad, but I've had it better here at other times. The accompanying French Fries were hot, crisp, salty and just right. The portion (sandwich and fries) is very generous, and quite filling. I could tell from the moment that we were led into the dining room and saw the big grill in the back that this was going to be a fun evening! Before we even ordered, we were offered a cup of vegetable broth as a starter. The broth was excellent, and appreciated despite it being a hot and humid day. I suspect that the composition varies based on the kitchen scraps, but we all agreed that it was great. After the broth, the waiter stopped by to walk us through his recommendations and some background about the restaurant. Even though we were doing Dine LA, he was able to give us some suggestions on pairings, and I apprecaited how he walked us through each item as it was brought to the table. For the first course, we tried both the torta frita with cashew butter, and the chipas with tomato butter. I was impressed with how everythign was thorugh out - the dishes, the butter knives carved out of single pieces of wood. The flowers that popped on the otherwise plain cashew butter, the (if memory serves) toasted buckwheat seeds on the tomato butter. You eat with your eyes first, and mine were feasting while they were laying everything out! The cashew butter was slightly sweet with the honey, and it paired well with the crispy torta. Spreading the butter was a bit awkward, but we made it work. The toamto butter was likewise great. With both breads and butters, what I loved most was actually the combinations of textures. There was thought given to how the ingredients paired together. The crispy torta, for exmaple, was paired with the smooth cashew butter, while the soft chipa was paired with the "crunchy" tomato butter. The second course was likewise impressive. We mixed and matched a number of different appetizers. I can't speak for the empanada (it was devoured before I could try it!), but the hamachi crudo was fresh, tasty, and delicate, and it was fun to watch them pour the sauce on tableside. What was most impressive, however, was the burnt avocado salad, which has the most unique preparation thad I had ever seen. What looks like an unpeeled avocado is actually a peeled avocado that has been charred so that the blackened surface resembles an avocado skin! The char on the fatty avocado paired well with the bitter salad greens and the vinagraite. The crispy onions and candied lemon bits sprinkeld through out were barely visible yet added delightful little flavor bombs and some texture. For the third course, each of the entrees was excellent. Two of us ordered steaks, and I noticed that they didn't ask us for our desired doneness. While some might be squeamish, I appreciated they made the call to serve the meat how they thought was best. Their choice delivered. The steaks were great, tender and well seasoned, and with no strong herbs or spices to hide behind. That said, I tried a bite of the short rib, and I think that was even better! Someone else ordered the pork and paired it with the peppers per the waiters suggestion, and that combiantion was delightful. At the end of the meal, we decided to get deserts, which weren't included with the Dine LA. We ordered a "Ode to DDL" which was basically like a dulce de leche version of molten chocolate cake. Our second desert was a chocolate & Sabayon. I didn't read the menu description carefully enough and didn't realize that the foam... icing? topping? would have a liquor added to it. On its own it was a bit much, but together with the chocolate and the caramel it worked well together. Speaking of which, I attached a photo, but the desert came with a massive piece of caramel crisp that was a lot of fun to break with a spoon! Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. The food was great, the staff was fun, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the whole restaurant was thoughtfully put together. It was a little pricey, but I think the experience was worth it. It's an odd name for a place where the center - the food - is currently the weakest part of the frame. We had a reservation and still waited about ten minutes to be seated. Once inside, the room works: warm, intimate, the kind of space that makes you want to linger over another glass. Our server was the clear highlight. He was attentive without hovering and genuinely helpful with the wine list. That side of the night felt right. The food was less consistent. Most of the plates felt like appetizers trying to pass as entrees, both in portion size and in price. The Gougères arrived warm on the outside and cool in the middle. The tuna crudo ($23) was four ordinary slices swimming in oil. The pork belly and shoulder with cucumber relish had real flavor, though it came out lukewarm after a long gap between courses. The grilled hanger steak with shallot butter suffered the same problem as the crudo -- too much fat, and the sear pushed just past good into slightly burnt. The bigger issue is the neighborhood. Ventura Boulevard already has several places doing this exact concept - intimate wine bar, small plates, good room - more consistently. Bacari in Sherman Oaks and Unidos (just a few blocks away) are both serviceable examples that currently execute the idea with fewer misses. When the competition is already solid, it's hard to see the clear reason to come back here for dinner. There's a decent wine bar in here trying to get out. If I return, it'll be for the room and a few glasses... the kitchen still needs to catch up.

The difference in how we were treated was extremely concerning and made us feel that we were being treated differently because we are Hispanic. When we brought our concerns to the manager, Nathan, instead of addressing the situation, he refused to assist us or provide any meaningful resolution. This was incredibly disappointing, especially in Moorpark, a community made up of people from many different backgrounds. Based on this experience, I will not be returning and would strongly suggest people reconsider giving this establishment their business.
