Bomb breakfast burritos except the sauce was on the ends of the burrito which is bizarre
    Jennifer E.

Welcome to the valley!! The food good that I'd come back just to try more items on the menu. Everything we had was delicious, and there were so many other dishes I already want to order next time. Except the breakfast burrito was interesting, it was technically a "wet burrito" but the middle of the burrito was facing up and the ends of the burrito were sitting in the sauce. After we asked for extra sauce (since it was at the bottom ends of the burrito) we soon realized when the bill came it was an additional $3 for a mini side of sauce. That also look 10 minutes to get to our table prior to asking for it. The drinks definitely didn't disappoint either, the frozen margarita tower was such a fun touch (HIGH ALCOHOL FAVOR, the seasonal flavors got masked by the tequila and citrus) and a huge hit with our group! Also the champagne bottle order, that comes with 4 different juices. We sat outside on the ground floor patio and loved the vibe, but I noticed they also have indoor tables, bar seating, kitchen counter seating, and an upstairs patio with its own bar. I already know I'm requesting the upstairs patio next time with the DJ!! The service was great. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, but ahead of sitting down we had reminded the waiter that we were celebrating a birthday and there was zero acknowledgment of it. That was a bummer. We're locals and love to support our local businesses.

I forgot to leave my review but I stopped by for brunch this past Father's Day. I had just came across a post of them on IG when a mutual friend posted their grand opening I believe it was. Being that it was in the valley and I've been getting asked about brunch spots; I did my due diligence to see what they were talmbout lol. There is valet and street parking available. I believe a lot of people parked behind the building in what appeared to be somewhat of an alley. Some may have even parked in the shopping center across from Firestone. I parked on the street where the shopping center was and walked down to the restaurant. Upon walking up I immediately was feeling the vibes. It was a Sunday, so a lot of Black Folks were looking their best. Which I have to applaud. There's patio seating out front prior to entering the restaurant. Appeared to be full as Peale were making reservations and waiting to be seated. I was able to walk in and get escorted to a bar section right in front of the kitchen; where I was then able to see the chef and cooks cooking. The view complemented the vibe. The ambiance was extraordinary. The second floor is accompanied by another bar amongst tables, a beautiful view and a DJ. Now, I didn't receive the best service when it came to receiving my first drink and my food. I ordered a "King Status" which is their version of a Sidecar. The drink was great but it took about 15-20 mins to receive it. I ordered the lamp chops with potatoes for there and the catfish and grits to go. I was hoping I was still going to have my drink to sip along with it but unfortunately, I finished it because it took too long for the meal to come out. I then ordered the "Birds of a Feather" to kill some more time as I waited. By the time I received my order; it was brought out to me by a different young lady who had packed everything to go. At this point I was really disappointed with the service. She then asked me if I wanted her to put it on a plate and I declined. The lamb chops and potatoes were great in my opinion. They were flavorful and seasoned pretty well. Nor were they tough. The potatoes were seasoned well also. However, the catfish was fried in what appeared to be dirty grease or oil. The fish wasn't overcooked but appeared to look as if it was. I forgot to take a pic of the grits but they were really good. Despite the lack of no cheese nor chives, I still found them to be enjoyable with the catfish. I shared my thoughts with the waitress. She was very understanding. She also provided clarity as to why I wasn't receiving the best service. As a way to make amends she was able to remove both of my drinks. So I got to drink for free in a sense. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner or one of the owners, Brandon. Very cool guy indeed. Much respect. He was more than open to hearing about my experience. He took accountability and apologized on his staff's behalf. He too also provided clarity to the situation and gave me his number. Overall, I enjoyed the drinks. I liked the food. The ambiance and vibes were great. I'm a definitely return for another visit and keep sharing this spot with others. Just because I didn't have the best first time experience doesn't mean someone else wouldn't and that's doesn't mean my next visit will be the same. Keep a positive attitude. Stay blissful and productive.

A friend and I dined here on a weekday early morning. We arrived at approximately 8:30 which is great because the place opens at 8. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. We were promptly seated inside. Our waiter Scotty was very polite. Had a great relaxed professional demeanor and was very helpful with the menu. We ordered the -blackened salmon and shrimp 9/10 (the salmon tasted better than the shrimp) -Catfish and grits 10/10 (great flavor profile if you eat them both together) -fish and chips 8/20 ( fish was great) -crab cakes with a very tasty tartar sauce10/10 (loved! full of crab perfectly cooked) -Fried chicken biscuit 9/10 (really enjoyed the sandwich definitely enough for two. The hot honey syrup was a great touch. The gravy was amazing. I ended up taking a separate container of gravy home with me. so delicious! Rosemary garlic potatoes -10/10 (fresh crispy and perfectly seasoned) For drinks we ordered: Yesss Kween 8/10 Butterfly water 8/10 We ordered a couple of glasses of Prosecco to end our dining experience, which was the perfect touch! Our waiter was very helpful throughout the entire dining experience. He was very comfortable with casual conversation and made sure he checked up on us throughout. When I go back, I will definitely if he's on shift and request him. Scotty, you rock! The decor of the restaurant is very comfortable, yet vibey and inviting. I love the deep green and lilac color scheme. I would love to come back during the evening to see what the mood is like. We were told there was an upstairs area that has a Dj and a small outdoor patio area on Fridays and weekends. I did not go check it out myself, but I did see a few people tour the area. As much as I love a single restroom (main dining) I can only imagine when the restaurant gets crowded. There would be a line. But it was very clean, well maintained, and decorated.

Came to a celebratory brunch here last Sunday. A beautiful location filled with beautiful people. Laughter and smiles flowing...along with the drinks. They make their Bloody Mary mix in house, therefore I had to play. It was good. The olives, celery and bacon are a nice touch. But I think next time I must inquire about what kind of vodka is being used. The music and decor....tight. Now down to the most important part of Brunch....the food. Our table ordered... The fried lobster tail served lemon ricotta pancakes. Pancakes Grits Crab cakes A lobster roll And three sides of chicken wings...over time. I don't really eat chicken but I heard the praise and caught a whiff of the glaze ...so I tried one. The last batch was overcooked...maybe that was the universes's way of telling me I shouldn't have had chicken. Consistency is key. But the glaze is so darn good...it's even good when it's a little charred. I was told the grits were good. They looked delish but I didn't try them. The pancakes were good. I'm tough on pancakes so I'll leave it there. It's hard to meet the high expectations of what a lemon ricotta pancake should feel and taste like. I personally wasn't a fan. The crab cakes were a tad too earthy and herby for me. I like my crab cakes, crabby. The tarragon was strong in these ones. Whew. Now ...the dish I would not do again....the lobster "roll". It should be called Splash of lobster on mini brioche bricks. I didn't want to be the one...so I asked for salt and pepper and popped those little hard bites in my mouth. But...no. NO. I must add, I'm gonna go back and try other dishes. So I'm not done here. But honestly I wouldn't even accept the lobster "roll" as a free appetizer. It oozed disappointment.

Dining at this restaurant was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Watching the Executive Chef and Sous Chef work their culinary magic right before my eyes was truly captivating. I ordered the Blackened Salmon and Shrimp (the rosemary potatoes and sauté kale was incredible), requesting my salmon well done. Despite that, it remained perfectly juicy and cooked to perfection. Kristin, my waitress, was absolutely magnificent , attentive to every detail with a warm smile that never faded. Her positive energy truly elevated the entire dining experience and is undoubtedly a key part of what makes this restaurant a true gem. The atmosphere, music, food, and service combined to create a vibe that is simply second to none. I'm already planning to return at least twice a month. Wish there was a 10star option!!!

Brand new spot that operates as a perfect brunch spot, lunch spot, and lounge. The drinks are phenomenal and very fairly priced for the high-level of execution. Each cocktail is its own adventure, but I would recommend starting with a Hugo Spritz. When in doubt asked a friendly bartenders, who know the menu very well. The interior is inspired by a tropical mahogany lined lounge and a DJ booth on the second floor shows promising entertainment. The food takes homage from soul food and brunch favorites, each with a lux finish. Try starting with the deviled eggs. I can t wait to be back!

First off the place is beautifully designed the upstairs patio so so nice to sit at when the suns out. Chicken Biscuit and the Shrimp Salad were my favorite dishes. Straight up mouthwatering. Dante and Kingston took care of us, we're super friendly and amazing! And the food came out in minutes even though they were pretty busy. Will definitely be back

The brick barrel vaulted ceiling that runs the length of the restaurant really adds to the ambiance of this place. Out of the seven dishes, only two were not as flavorful as expected. They were good by any other restaurant's standards, but just not great like the others. The other five dishes more than made up for this small blip. Can't wait to go again. Must tries: Quail Deviled Eggs with Ahi Tuna and Dill are amazing!! Hamachi with sprouted broccoli, tempura, ponzu, shiso aioli, Black Sesame Seeds Charred Brussels Sprouts with almonds, grapes, and Pecorino Romano. Lamb chops with Aji Amarillo, rosemary, and yogurt. These were the most tender lamb chops I have ever had. And that often overly-lamb flavor was not there. And do not pass up on the Charred Skirt Steak with yuca, chile de árbol, and aji mojo. Cooked to a perfect medium rare and extremely tender and exploding with flavor. The most expensive item of our dinner at $48 and worth it. A large portion that fed four of us.

The Piccolo Punch was especially unique and incredibly tasty, and the Penicillin was just as good. While the cocktails are on the expensive side, they're expertly crafted, strong, and definitely worth trying if you're looking for quality drinks.

I can't eat a lot of the cuisine due to a legume allergy, so I only ordered the feta cheese plate: five squares of feta dusted with herbs & spices, persian cucumber, tomato, mint, & Greek olives. There's hookah as well, an extensive flavour menu and a designated "hookah guy" to attend to your setup. There's parking in the lot next door until 10:30pm - be sure to move your car by then, or it will be locked in the garage with an additional charge overnight (this didn't happen to me; I heeded other Yelp reviews and noted the signs around the garage). HEADLINE: No Laptops Allowed (?!???!!)…read more I was spearheading a small work meeting (4 people) and this restaurant is centrally located to everyone, so we made a reservation for a Wednesday at 7pm. Among us, we had one small macbook pro for note taking. As soon as we were seated outside (among a largely empty floor) a gentleman on staff came up to me and said "Just so you know, if you are planning on using your computer, you can't." I was stunned for a minute but then approached him and asked for clarification. He said it has to do with management and that no computers are allowed. I explained that the entire reason we came there was to have a very lowkey dinner meeting and that nowhere on the website does it say that patrons can't use a laptop. Our server got involved and then talked to the manager, came back and said this one time we can use it, that they will make an exception, but the rule is no computers. We ended up staying there for convenience but I feel like the $400 we spent should have gone somewhere conducive to making a living and surviving in this world, and I have been thinking about how much I regret going there for an entire week now.

First and foremost, a huge shoutout to our server, Seth, and the entire team. The service was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Waters were never empty, drinks arrived promptly, and every dish was perfectly timed and coursed throughout the evening. The level of attention to detail elevated an already incredible meal into a truly memorable experience. As for the food, I genuinely don't know where to begin. This might be one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles -- and honestly, it has a strong case for being the best. Every single dish that came out was executed beautifully. We started with the caviar service, which was an easy win from the start. The chips were impossibly light, airy, and perfectly salted, while the onion crème fraîche added an incredible richness that tied everything together beautifully. Next came the milk buns, which were soft, fluffy, and completely addictive. The whipped butter served alongside them was silky, rich, and absolutely perfect. The tiger prawn tostada completely surprised me in the best possible way. It delivered layers of flavor with subtle heat that never overpowered the dish. The prawns were cooked flawlessly, and every bite felt balanced and intentional. Then came the croquettes, which may have officially ruined all other croquettes for me. They were perfectly crisp on the outside while the interior simply melted in your mouth. The accompanying sauce was beautifully balanced and made an already fantastic dish even better. For mains, we ordered the Dungeness crab pasta, which was light, fresh, and elegant. It wasn't trying to be overly complicated, and that was exactly what made it so good. It was a reminder that simplicity, when executed well, can be extraordinary. The pork belly risotto was another standout. The risotto itself was cooked perfectly, and the pork belly somehow managed to be both crispy and melt-in-your-mouth tender at the same time. Every component on the plate worked together flawlessly. We also ordered the corn and roasted potatoes as sides, and somehow even those managed to steal the spotlight. The corn was an absolute flavor bomb, and the roasted potatoes were equally unforgettable. And then came the star of the evening: the tomahawk. Without question, it was the best tomahawk steak I've ever had. The accompanying chili sauce wasn't aggressively spicy like a traditional salsa might be; instead, it was incredibly balanced and complemented the richness of the steak perfectly. Every bite was absolute perfection. By the end of the meal, we were completely stuffed, but after a dinner this good there was no chance we were skipping dessert. We ordered the French toast dessert, which was delicious with its tangy strawberry syrup and beautifully executed flavors. My only critique would be that I wish it had been served warmer and in a slightly larger portion, because I truly think that would have taken it to an entirely different level. Overall, I left absolutely blown away. The chef, the kitchen team, and the front-of-house staff delivered one of the best dining experiences I've had in a very long time. It was the perfect way to celebrate my husband's birthday, and this is without a doubt a place we'll be returning to again and again.

Yes, I'm well aware of location, ingredients, operating costs, etc...but damn. Getting 2 cocktails felt really indulgent. The interior/ambience is lovely - really appreciate what they did to the place. First had the guacamole maragrita - i love avocado and appreciate a less sweet spin on cocktails. It was really good, I like the play of pureed avocado and citrus notes. Next I had the creamsicle maragrita - I love the combination of orange and vanilla so it sounded intriguing. It was...a bit odd. There was.a smoky mezcal flavor that overwhelmed the drink making it hard to detect that orange/Vanilla flavor. And there was supposed to be mezcal in it. However, I did appreciate the server coming by to pour the Cocktail into a more chilled glass, mine got warmed up while drinking. Docking a star because the food seems like kind of an afterthought for the price. These days I usually need food with my cocktails. Wasn't very hungry so I went with one of the cheaper snackier options - chips and salsa. It was serviceable. My friend got the guacamole with tuna, and said the guacamole was too basic. Would come back for the drinks for sure. Wish they had a daytime happy hour with at least daytime happy hour food pricing.

The service was friendly and pleasant and prompt, and our food and wine were great. Absolutely will recommend and return!

Echoing what everyone else has been saying - the service is SO slow. It was about 45 minutes before we were able to order our second drink and our water glasses were empty. They have so many runners bringing the drinks out but only a few servers and, from the looks of it, one bartender (on a Saturday night - what?!). The server was saying he was trying to find a manager to help out but they were nowhere to be found. Clearly management is fine with these service times since they're still making $$$. The drinks were delicious, and I loved that there were heaters on the patio (though they did get very hot at times). Our server was so kind and brought us a celebratory drink. I do wish there were more explanations with the beverages, especially for the Paid Vacation as most people will not realize you're supposed to bite into the buzz button for the tingly sensation. I would come back, but need some time for my wallet to recover first, haha!
