Let me just say--we could not have picked a better place. While we've enjoyed other local spots like Casita and Taisho, this experience truly set a new bar... and it was all thanks to our amazing server, Joe Ando. From the moment we were seated, Joe made us feel like we were regulars coming home. Part of the reason we all 4 delighted in the experience, was our terrific server Ryan. Knowledgeable and humorous, certainly not the stuffy staff you might expect at a high in steak house. The food was excellent but the star of the night was the sauces. Even if you thought you'd had one before, you hadn't it like they make it. And don't skip the sides! So went to BLVD when it first opened, was 'good/ok'. But last Friday was amazing. Menu has definitely stepped up... rib caps were phenomenal. The crudo great, and the beef tartare comparable to the best I've had. Paul the owner knows us a bit and is always super hospitable and I never hold back with telling him what could be better at any of his restaurants but didn't have much to say that night about BLVD Steak. Bar scene is not only unrivaled for a Valley location but as good as anything on the Westside or LA. Just go, just go! read more

I'd passed this spot a couple of times with the intent to reserve a table here, but fortunately enough for me I was invited to a work dinner here and it surely didn't disappoint. The overall vibe and ambiance was upscale with great service from the valet staff to the hostesses at the front. I really like the bar setup right when you walk in for those coming simply to enjoy a cocktail and some nice conversation. Once I met with my party the servers were extremely helpful in providing recommendations on appetizers, drinks and entrees. My favorite entree by far was the Wagyu steak. It was so tender and buttery that I could have had what was on my plate plus what they had in the back. Would absolutely recommend BLVD steak. Its about time that the Valley got a nice steakhouse. Larsen's is trash and while the food at Ruth Chris is good, it just hasn't kept up with the vibe. BLVD offers you everything you get at Boa or Mastro's but without the fight for your life over the hill. Noah is an amazing server and ensured we had the best experience. Ian is an incredible manager and both times we were there popped by for a table visit to ensure we were happy. This service is top tier. The food is amazing, you absolutely have to get the shrimp appetizer. The creole butter is unlike anything I've had at another steak restaurant and really sets them apart. The Caesar salad is also one of the best we've had (even better than Boa's tableside Caesar, I have to admit). We are so happy BLVD is here and we gave it a try. Decent food overall. Very busy and pretty dark inside. We came in with a party of 16, waited quite a while outside for our table. When seated, my chair was touching the chair of the person behind me and I could barely get in my seat. Other than that the service was good. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and the food was fine. Festive old school jams played overhead, romantic booths in the patio, dark atmosphere and excellent service. My bone in Rib eye steak was awesome, rivaling Musso & Frank's. The Filet was also perfect for my GF. Wine choices were exceptional. Fair priced all the way to very very expensive. The Bordeaux by the glass at $43 was a steal! This steak house is on my list to try & I was excited to make a reservation weeks ago to finally try it. I ordered the filet and the minute I had my first bite I was disappointed, the steak was tasteless. I thought it was me but I asked my friend and he agreed that his steak had no taste either. We both felt it needs more salt etc. Maybe this is how the chef does his steak and this is his style of cooking but this is not for me. Everything from the steak to the side dishes, none impressed me. I have tried almost all the steakhouses in LA and sad to say this place doesn't make it to my top ten. The highlight of the night was the service. Our server was attentive & friendly. The food came out fast. The restaurant was crowded, loud, with fun background music. This was an excellent spot that I got recommended as I needed to take a big client to dinner with his team. I did not include many photos of the dinner for the privacy of my client. But everyone loved everything. First off with the drink, the espresso martini was excellent no notes. For my entrée I got the steak frites. They definitely go heavy on the frites. Lol it was still good but they give you a lot of fries. Steak was very marinated very tender very good. Highly recommend it as an entree, it was like an Asian marinade on the steak. Working backwards here, I am a Caesar salad connoisseur, so we got two Caesar salads to split with the table. They're definitely enough to feed two people per salad at least. Very good solid Caesar salad that everyone enjoyed. At the table we also got a few entrees of the spaghetti and Wagyu meatball to split and then someone also got the spaghetti and substitute the Wagyu meatball for the shrimp. Lovely interior, LOTS of seating and deceivingly large inside. There's an amazing bar right when you walk in. There's valet, and also street/metered parking. Service was 5 stars at the start but after the entrees were served that was the last we saw of our waiters. The place was busy and the vibe was there. Good crowd and bar scene made you feel like you're on the Westside at steak 48. However, the steak was not nearly as good. It was cooked well but the sear was not there. Flavor lacking. The sides were ok, nothing that really stood out. We had the mashed potatoes and crispy brocollini. The crab cocktail app I'd recommend though. Large chunks of crab with great sauce options. Have to get their pretzel roll with their blvd butter. Wine selection by the glass was also limited. Mostly only bottles and even that was somewhat limited. Prices for the food were not totally out of market. For the valley this place gives you that westside feeling and upscale caliber experience. Lived up to my expectations but not in my top 5 steak restaurants in LA. Dessert was craveable though I will say. Chocolate lava cake with caramel and vanilla ice cream. They've got plenty of options for cuts including filet, ribeye, porterhouse, tomahawk. They have Wagyu options as well that are a bit pricier. But I'd say overall prices are decent for the quality and portion size. We started with the sautéed shrimp with crusty bread and a buttery sauce. Definitely recommend to try for an app. For the steak, I got the center cut filet cause I like the leaner cut and it was 12 ounces of pure buttery goodness. The steak was well seasoned and cooked medium rare just to my liking. We tried the shoestring fries and creamed spinach for sides. Fries were really crisp and the shrimp had a bed of crispy onions on top that made it totally addictive. We had to get dessert so we got the lava cake and the butter cake. Butter cake was surprisingly amazing. Lava cake was as expected gooey and warm and so delicious with a dollop of cold vanilla ice cream. I am excited to come back to try more! read more

We were excited to celebrate birthdays at BLVD. However, we were disappointed that we were disappointed. The ambiance is quite nice, we liked the black and LA murals on the walls. The service was very very good; Sasi was phenomenal and the floor manager/maitre'd was very attentive (will elaborate below). What was a disappointment however, was the food. We ordered the sautéed shrimp which was very good, the shrimp were large and succulent. The dish though was tepid. The wedge salad (we ordered ours chopped) was delicious and plentiful. Our steaks were such a letdown. I've never had a bland, dry, medium rare, bone-in ribeye. There wasn't one single drop of pan juices on the plate. And in addition to that, I didn't taste any salt or pepper. The meat also seemed rather chewy and gristly - not the quality I'd expect from a top steakhouse. I wished I'd taken a photo because I've never seen a steak on a plate with absolutely no pan juices. The floor manager noticed we weren't eating and inquired. I suggested that maybe we needed to order one of their butters? He came back with a plate of all of their sauce selections: béarnaise, peppercorn, chimichurri and bordelaise. Sadly, none of them made a difference; and truthfully a good steak doesn't need sauce. We left half uneaten and didn't even take it home. The lobster mashed potatoes did not skimp on the lobster, but where was the flavor? The buttery, glistening lobster sauce that covers the potatoes and lobster? Why did the potatoes have a sweetness to them? Were they mashed with milk and not cream? And salt is not an enemy. Season the dish at every layer. Lastly, hot food is appreciated; all of the dishes we had that should have been hot were tepid. We did enjoy a lovely butter cake. And great service. read more

We came for a 50th birthday dinner with a party of 11, and while we were excited for the night, the check-in experience was rough. Even with an 8:30pm reservation, we waited about an hour to be seated. Standing that long--especially for ladies in stilettos with nowhere to sit--definitely made the start of the evening frustrating. BUT once we finally made it to our table, everything turned around. Our waiter, Craig, was truly the highlight of the night. He paid attention to every detail, checked on us consistently, and made the birthday girl feel celebrated from start to finish. He was friendly, patient, and even offered to take photos for us--such a small thing, but it really made the night feel special. The manager on duty also stepped in with great energy and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. There are some dishes I do recommend to other steak lovers. Their 10 oz Australian wagyu is absolutely amazing. It not only melts in your mouth, but each bite is filled with flavor. There are some steaks that are too fatty, but the Australian Wagyu steak has the perfect balance! For dessert, I have to recommend their butter cake. First time at BLVD Steak. The place is nice, inside gets really loud the covered patio was the better option. The service was straightforward, our server was a young lady who was very knowledgeable, fast and efficient. The food was very good. Center cut filet with peppercorn sauce was really good. All the sides: mashed, fries, onion rings, meat ball, yellowtail crudo, Caesar were all good. My only issue was with the table cleanliness. There are no tablecloths, and as the tables get dirty I noticed they wipe the table with a rug that doesn't look very clean, and then place clean silverware directly on the table. For a restaurant that charges around $200 per person, I think they can definitely elevate the dining experience with adding tablecloths. It's simply not a good look without it. read more

Cocktails were great, ordered the wedge salad which was enough for 2. Split the 12oz center cut with sides of crispy broccoli, mashed potatoes and waffle fries. Every. Single. Thing was delicious. We sat at the bar bc it was pretty busy and our bartender made the most delicious drinks! She and others consistently checked on us and made sure we were getting everything we needed. I booked a reservation a week or so in advance for a party of 3. I wanted to surprise my niece for her birthday. She drove from Highland California. My reservation was at 8:00pm. We did not get seated until 8:40pm. The manager (sorry I don't remember his name) came up to us and apologized for the wait. So I asked if he would buy us a drink for having us wait so long which he did with no hesitation. The food and service by Ryan was excellent. My only complaint is the time it took for us to be seated given the fact that they would've only given us a 15 minute grace period if we were late. Overall the food and service did not disappoint.
