We had such a great dinner at Lala's in Studio City! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The mushroom appetizer was one of the best we've ever had--absolutely incredible. We're already trying to recreate it at home because it was that good! The mashed potatoes were another standout: rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Everything we had was delicious, and we'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. If you're looking for great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere, Lala's is well worth a visit!

Food was amazing but the best part was our hostess she was really nice and very attentive. At the end our meal she had surprised our kiddos with a yummy chocolate cake . We would definitely come back again, staff here was very friendly, i loved the good vibes around this place.

A-Lala-lalalonglong oh yeah! and still the best Argentine Food in LA-la's! Excellent service with a smile with our Stanley Tucci look-alike server and friendly staff! Took a gamble and tried the Costilla (Ribeye) instead of my usual Pollo la Brasa and was super stoked with the fatty flavor! Also tried the Creamed Corn Empanadas which is my new fav! Wifey said the Pechuga Napolitana was eeeeelite! The fries too tho! Better than McDees haha!

empanadas and the fried shrimp was too good. We literally cleaned our plates!!

No matter where I eat, I always come back to Lala's! For me, this will always be a classic spot in the valley with the most amazing food and service! Janet was our server this time and she was so fun, even recommended the most delicious Malbec for me to try. The Melrose salad with rice is my go to and I don't rarely order salad so that should tell you something haha can't go wrong with the steak or empanadas either. Try it out, you're gonna thank me for this one!!

We came here for the first time this weekend and are sad we haven't been coming here longer! We came in around 6:30 and there was plenty of room with no line, we did valet which was $10. We were sat immediately out on the patio and once we were sat the whole restaurant started to fill up. Definitely recommend the patio! The food came extremely fast and everything was hot and delicious! We ordered the shrimp and mushroom appetizers and what's not to love about those covered in butter and garlic. We of course ordered a steak and the Plato mixto and I highly recommend! It can definitely feed 3 people! So delicious and we will for sure be back!

Spicy Chimichurri -- the best taste of the meal, but for a $2 up-charge.

Lala's has been around a very long time, and their menu of Argentine specialties has become a staple: steaks and chicken prepared a variety of ways, sausages and other niche items are all appealing on the page, and arrive looking just about as good as you would have thought. The issue comes down to an unfortunate blandness. While the clientele at lunch was very mixed in terms of age, the food all seems like what you'd get at a place specifically geared towards seniors: looks good, tastes kind of like nothing much. I had opted for the Argentinian Chorizo Sandwich, replacing the advertised lettuce and tomato with grilled onions. The sausages were perfectly cooked, with a proper char outside and a plump juiciness inside. But the meat itself had very little flavor; nothing to distinguish it at all from the bread it rested on. The accompanying fries were likewise properly cooked, with a pleasing crisp -- and likewise had no seasoning at all. I added table salt, of course, but that's not the same as having them dusted with a chef's salt right out of the fryer. Salad was salad, fresh and crispy, but the dressing, again, was non-descript. Lastly, their Chimichurri (fresh and herbaceous) lacked a proper hit of garlic or spice, or both. When I asked for hot sauce, I was offered Tabasco (which isn't the right flavor profile for Argentine food) or a Spicy Chimichurri for an extra $2. I splurged on the extra, and it turned out to be the tastiest part of the meal; a robust, earthy sauce with layered flavors and a welcome punch of heat. When it comes to the ambiance itself, the restaurant is quite comfortable, with relaxing lighting and a laid-back feel. They've also taken a good deal of care to curb the bright sunlight pouring in through their many windows, which is an effort that must be appreciated. The bathrooms, however, could really use an overhaul. As soon as you enter the corridor everything changes: the restroom doors are beaten up and dirty; inside, the polished decor disappears and one is greeted by a grungy, industrial floor, beaten up stall doors badly in need of new paint (yes, there is some graffiti), and fixtures that seem to be left over from whatever establishment was on this spot when it was first developed. Feels like you're in the bathroom at a dive music venue, and that feels wrong. One final thought: the parking in this corner of Studio City has always been tough, and there aren't enough spots on the street and in the little lot to accommodate the restaurant itself, much less the other businesses that share the small strip center. Mandatory valet was instituted some time ago, and I agree that's the best solution -- but a $10 fee at lunch also seems out of proportion. Maybe at dinner time, with $5 at lunch? That would seem better, especially if you have to pay $2 to get the good Chimichurri.

Not sure I've ever had Argentine food and it was delicious! They had a 4 empanada special so we shared the spinach, chicken curry, beef and cheese & onion and while all great my favorite was the chicken curry. For my main dish I got the garlic and parley chicken and fries and thought it was super flavorful. Service was great and sitting outside on a lovely day was perfect.

Food : 5/5 Price: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Food: we went here for DineLA so the options may be a bit different. We had an empanada, Argentinian chorizo, Marcella (blood sausage) as our starters. All were excellent in flavor. The empanada may be one of the best Argentinian empanadas ive ever had. The chorizo was excellent with a great char to it to highlight its flavor. We also received complementary bread and chimichuri sauce which was awesome. We had the NY champignon steaks which had a mushroom sauce, grilled zucchini and mashed potatoes. This had excellent flavor as well. Lastly for dessert we had the crepe and flan, both had whipped cream and dulce de Leche which was a perfect end to the meal. Price: 5/5 - DineLA price was an extreme value at $25 per person for a prefixes menu. We added drinks as well as the morcilla sausage. The regular menu prices were also very reasonable. Id definitely like to try it post DineLA. Service: 5/5 - excellent service overall. I made reservations, and we were seated right away. Server was helpful, kept our water and drinks full without hesitation. Friendly and not overbearing. She gave us time to enjoy food and the food came out promptly and hot. Couldn't ask for more. Ambiance: 5/5 - it was refreshing to sit inside and have adequate space between tables. I didnt have to squeeze through a pathway or fear my chair would hit the person or table behind me. The music was bumping (not super loud) which was great and it fit the atmosphere. Definitely a good vibe. The downside if I had to point to one is parking. But most places along Ventura have parking issues. This has a parking lot with Valet. However we found a spot a block down.

I got disappointed due to their lack on serving food. I didn't order chicken or something cheap. I was expecting more out of it.

I expected more quality out of this restaurant employees. My family & i had to wait 35-40 min for our food. Other table that was sat after my family got serve before us. They had order stake just like my table. I don't understand why other table was serve before mine, when the restaurant was not even busy. Bad communication between them or the cooks. They need to improve this is not the 1st time here but after this 2nd time they have done this. I don't recommend this place. Service is so bad. They are polite but am not there to make friends. So that shouldn't even matter. The food service has to be better. Place was clean i guess i came at night time so cant tell much. Also they added 2 extra sodas that i had not ask for. Waitress did removed the charge but at that point i didn't care about to sodas.

Tried Dine LA $25 Lunch. It was Fantastic, fresh food and has small parking lot availability. Everyone welcoming except my waiter. Manager Lady greeted me when I walked in, allowed me to sit anywhere I liked. Busboy friendly, smiled, said hello, Brought water, bread n chimichurri sauce. Waiter man w beard & funny yellow lens black frame glasses never greeted, only asked for order. Service okay, he did his job, but He has no capacity for pleasantries or asking if need anything. Acted like he was too busy to ask how are you? How is the meal? Can I get you anything? He did fill water, did it silently and scurried off like running from a fire. Then stood at kitchen counter, idle. Busboy came by twice, each time happy and asking if ok, need anything. Nice friendly personality. Beard guy, take some lessons.... He never said a word to me, except to take my order. Silently gave me bill, no thanks for coming, no goodbye. Yes, I get it, you're too hip & cool and feel Job is beneath you to exchange any pleasantries. No, didn't think having a bad day. We came a year ago, same personality, but I didn't comment on it then. Oh well. The busboy's attitude and attentiveness more than made up for it. You should try out for waiter job, you'd be excellent at it. Wasn't busy yet, only me, and two tables of 2 people. Food was enjoyable a good deal with Dina La doing its job, introducing us to diff restaurants and enabling us to try diff things to get us to come back and experience more items. It had a modern warm cozy interior. Patio nice w pretty light fixture. Would come again to try other menu offerings.

Lala's Argentine Grill swept us off our feet. This beautiful and cozy restaurant was the perfect spot to catch up with old friends. The kids devoured the chimicurri burger. My husband is still raving about the yummy empanadas, and I must recommend the Melrose salad! It is the perfect, savory and hearty salad for a dinner out! Parking is limited, with some street parking surrounding the restaurant but the block also offered valet parking which made getting in and out a breeze!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Lala's Argentine Grill, and it was the perfect choice--especially since it was his first visit and a restaurant he had been wanting to try for quite some time. From the delicious appetizers and authentic Argentine-style entrées to the creative cocktail tastings and dessert, every part of the meal was fantastic. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for a special occasion. A special thank you to Emilio, who made the evening even better. He was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and offered excellent recommendations throughout our meal. His service was truly the cherry on top of a wonderful dining experience. We left happy, full, and already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommend.

Came here for dinner very cute interior. The parking isn't great it's only valet and it's very limited. We didn't wait long to be seated which was nice. The empanadas were tasty but the rest of the food was missing seasoning. The vibe was nice they have a good playlist playing.

Yah boy had been grinding all week at work and I felt like I needed to treat myself, so I ordered the boys Taco Bell from postmates, got them situated at the house and then I stepped out to grab me a steak. I had no clue where I was going, so I pulled over on the side of the street to see which steak place was open until 10pm because it was already like 8:40pm. Blvd closes at 10p on the weekends, so I shot to Sherman Oaks! I found parking across the street but they do offer valet but there was no need since metered street parking was free at that time. As I walked up, security opened the door for me, the hostess asked how many and took me to my table. The place was very nice with a huge bar in the middle. There was great music playing, which was 90's hip hop and some r&b. Apparently, the owner has a few famous hip hop artists investors and is a hip hop head himself. He also owns Taisho sushi restaurant across the street along with Anderson Paak (that's the word around town). Anyway, the place was very nice and classy! Definitely a grown folks vibe with hip millennials dressed nice at the bar and reciting the lyrics to the music and a few grooving to it as well. My waiter was great! He helped me decide on my order and I decided to go with a 6oz petite filet, the sautéed shrimp and the smashed broccoli. Everything was top notch! That steak was everything I could ask for and the bread and sauce together with the shrimp was that chef's kiss! I'm not going to lie, this place was so good that I told my wife about it and we went back two days later. With her we tried the meatballs, which were fire! We also got the wedge salad, which was good but the pancake croutons or whatever were a little weird and I got the same steak but with blue cheese crust and broccoli. We also got a few drinks (Peach Julep & Watermelon Margareta) and the butter cake with fresh strawberries and ice cream. All of which were amazing! We went all out! Our bill was crazy but it was well worth it just to get out and have a date night. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to have a date night. We were going to hit a movie or go dancing after but we were way to tired after all of that lol. Def hit this spot up for good food and great service! We'll be back for sure! OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

This place came up several times when I researched on great restaurants that have excellent vibes…read moreand great food. Although it didn't really necessarily show up as "the best food in LA area" but all the reviews were so good so I became curious to try. Mainly the reviews also raved about the vibes, services, and live music. Well, they were not wrong! It was fairly easy to make a reservation through Opentable, and I made a reservation for two people for my birthday dinner on Sunday night. I put on the notes that it's my bday so it'll be nice to get a nice table near the stage. I didn't have a high expectation, cos I'd never been to the place and I didn't make a call or anything. But wow, they definitely gave us a great table at the very front! As many reviewers had mentioned, the acoustic of the restaurant is really great. You can barely hear other people's conversations. There's a live jazz band playing, so you can really enjoy that. Although it made it slightly hard to hear what other nearby people say to you either, haha. Our server Dawson was a really great one! Very nice, very informative and just has a great vibe that made you feel comfortable to converse with him. We also asked if he could take a picture of us and he went above and beyond with taking our pictures haha. He took the table lamp as our additional "lighting". Such a great service! Dawson also made a few suggestions on food. We ordered the milk bun (so great!), the tiger prawns tostada (omg, my favorite of the night!), braised lamb pasta, pork belly risotto, and roasted broccolini. Everything was really good and really filled us up! We also got the "smokin old fashioned" and "Wake up and repeat" cocktails. It was plenty of food for us so we asked for a check. Dawson asked if we wanted a dessert but we were already full. He asked if it's ok to give us a lil treat for my bday. It was a really nice dessert :). Oh I forgot to mention that they also put a small bday card on the table for me. The prices of food and drinks are on the higher sides, but I feel like it's worth it due to the live music and the vibe. It easily covers the entertainment part. We definitely will go back and recommend this place for anyone who's looking into a nice date night or to celebrate something special. I was informed that Friday has more of a "party vibe" here, although it's still a jazz performance. Sunday feels more laid back :) Overall I'm really pleased by this place. I used to think that I don't care that much about excellent service as long as the food is great, but I was wrong. The excellent hospitality just made the night even better than expected. Thank you for making my bday dinner memorable.

The usually have a live band after 7pm and the sound in the resturant is amazing. It's like a recording studio. The staff was very friendly! The decor and ambiance was also impressive. Definitely swanky but down to earth vibes. I got the rasberry beret cocktail and it was different but fabulous. Not sure how else to describe it. It was refreshing. We got the tiger prawns and it was presented as a toasta, which had a great flavor and texture. The apple salad was also refreshing and a good portion to share between 2 people. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and my favorite after the tiger prawns was the Dungeness crab pasta. It had uni on top! The uni elevated the dish, and honestly there were a good amount of crab meat in the dish. Overall well balanced and creamy. The 2 of us left full and satisfied. Highly recommend this place for a date night. There's also plenty of street parking when we went but there is also valet for $15.

It's become so much more than just one of our favorite bars and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The biggest reason, though, is the people. Hospitality is something that's hard to fake, and the team here does it effortlessly. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted like an old friend. Over the years, the staff has created an environment that feels welcoming, comfortable, and genuinely personal, and that's something that's become increasingly rare. Matt, Sabrina, and the entire team are all such gems. Scott also deserves special recognition. He's a huge part of what makes The Rendition Room such a special place. Whether he's introducing a new cocktail, sharing the story behind a spirit, or simply taking the time to check in, his passion and care for every guest shine through. It's people like Scott who transform a great bar into a place you truly feel connected to. On our most recent visit, we tried the new Decade & Debauchery cocktail, celebrating The Rendition Room's 10 year anniversary, and it's phenomenal. Balanced, and beautifully executed. In a city full of great bars, they have managed to create something much harder to find, a sense of community. After all these years, it still feels just as special as the first time we walked in.

The provoleta is VERY authentic and I've found that to be hard to find outside of Argentina. I've eaten here twice and once I had a steak and another I had pasta. Both were great. So ordering pasta is always a move if you don't want a huge piece of meat. See pics Cant wait to go back.

Location 3.5 stars: On the North side of Riverside Drive in Toluca Lake, between Cahuenga Blvd and N. Pass Ave. No Valet or parking structures. The Yelp profile says they have a parking lot but we could not find it. Metered parking which is hard to come by given the many restaurants in this area. The streets are quite and nice and walkable though and you see many people strolling along or walking their dogs, even in the evening. Venue 4 stars: Nicely decorated rustic venue. Indoor and outdoor seating. The inside however was uncomfortably cold when we visited (while outdoors was probably 80-85 degrees). Service 4 stars: Staff were friendly, polite, courteous and attentive. Food 3.5 stars: Primarily Argentinean food, including soups, appetizers, steaks, fish, chicken and pasta. We had the Tuna Tartare (Tartar de Atun, very good), Chicken Milanesa Napolitana (unfortunately very dry and tough), Salmon Con Tapenade (it had potential but ours was dry and overcooked), and Lomo a la Gorgonzola (beef tenderloin with Gorgonzola sauce; this one was very good!). I would highly recommend the Tuna Tartare and the Lomo a la Gorgonzola, but the Milanesa Napolitana and the Salmon Con Tapenade fell far short of our expectations. Drinks 3.5 stars: Beer (bottle and draft), wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea. No cocktails.

These days, that the price of an entree. We shared our appetizers: my friend had the individual portion of the uptown mac and cheese and I had the grilled mushroom. The mac and cheese is to die for! So creamy and very rich, with aged cheddar and gruyere cheeses, pieces of chicken, peas, and asparagus sprinkled throughout. A definite diet buster, but worth it! The grilled mushroom was no slouch either. Consisting of oyster and king trumpet mushrooms, the dish had a nice "meaty" taste, ironic since it's a vegetarian dish that is cooked in a plant based butter. You don't miss the lack of meat at all. For entrees, my friend got the poke bowl, which I did not tasted so can't attest to it, but my friend said it was good. I had the spicy pasta, which was amazing. The campanelle pasta was cooked perfectly, holding the savory, slightly spicy corn-based cream sauce in all its luscious folds. Along with roasted poblano peppers, sautéed mushrooms, marinated artichokes, and tomatoes, the ingredients all worked so well together to make a truly yummy dish. We also shared our desserts: My friend got a scoop of the vanilla fleu de sal ice cream while I opted for a scoop of the dark chocolate. Both were good, but I liked the dark chocolate as it had actual pieces of dark chocolate. Our server Kayla was amazing. So friendly and on it! She constantly checked in on us, and made sure our drink glasses were never empty. Today is just the first day of dineLA, so plenty of more opportunities to go back and try some of the other options offered!

Here's what we ordered: * CIGARS -- Insanely delicious (and inventive!). These chèvre goat cheese/honey treats wrapped in a thin, crispy phyllo dough with a this incredible dip (I ordered a second dip). I will be dreaming of these. * FRENCH ONION SOUP -- Almost perfect. The onion soup was absolutely delicious and served at a perfect temperature/ready to eat. It came with a delicious gruyere grilled cheese sandwich on top. Although the sandwich was yummy, it was a bit filling for an appetizer (we were saving room in our bellies for the main dishes) and we wished it just had melted gruyere cheese on top/few croutons instead of a sandwich. * THE BURGER (served Med) -- I must have said "oh my god" twenty times while eating. Eat bite was incredible... No morsel left behind. * STEAK FRITES (served MedRare) Hanger Steak w/ Au Poivre sauce -- Delicious, perfectly cooked. Sauce was delicious (ordered an extra). We also tried a side of the herb butter steak sauce. Equally rich and delicious. A classic dish reminiscent of Paris... * CHOCOLATE SOUFFLÉ -- Perfectly cooked... like a warm brownie served with a whipped cream to put inside. Nice, decadent ending to lovely meal. The restaurant got busier and volume did get louder as the night got later, but we could still hear each other and was still very romantic (even though tables were close). Excellent, unpretentious wait staff/runners/bussers... everyone was nice and smiled genuinely. I hope this restaurant stays. We'll be back... ;)

Because of our schedules, we weren't able to make a reservation and ended up walking in, but we were seated within five minutes. Our server, John (I believe that was his name!), was absolutely superb and truly made the evening feel special. We were able to enjoy the Generous Pour, which was actually my second time doing it and my boyfriend's first. We both started with the wedge salad, followed by the 8 oz. filet with creamed spinach, brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. I added the Gorgonzola crust to my filet, and it was AMAZING. Everything was delicious, and being able to try the different wines throughout dinner made the experience even more enjoyable. Patrick, the manager, also came over to check on us and was absolutely wonderful. What really stood out to me, though, was the level of service from the entire team. From the hosts, to our server, to the back waiter, to management, every single person we encountered was phenomenal. We felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of throughout the entire evening. This was only my second time dining at The Capital Grille, and the Burbank location completely won me over. When I go out to dine, exceptional service is something I truly appreciate, and they went above and beyond. I really can't put into words how much we appreciated everyone making my boyfriend's birthday dinner feel so special. I cannot recommend this location enough. The food, wine, hospitality, and service were all outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will 100% be back!! No doubt about it!
