I'm genuinely confused by the positive reviews here; I can only imagine they're coming from people who attend specific events, because as a standard bar experience, this missed the mark completely. My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday for a quick drink before a movie, and the "vibe" was non-existent. They have four TVs at the bar, but the setup was bizarre, two were completely off and another was just frozen on a directory logo. The biggest issue, however, is the cleanliness--or lack thereof. The place is incredibly dirty. It feels like it hasn't had a deep clean in weeks, maybe longer. The bar top was disgusting, the floors were grimy, and even the woodwork looked like it hadn't seen a rag since opening day. They are charging $17 for "signature cocktails," which is bold for a spot that feels like a neglected dive bar. If you're going to charge premium prices, you have to at least wipe down the countertops. Service-wise, the bartender was friendly enough but low energy and minimal level of service. To make matters worse, a shift change happened while we were there, and the departing bartender made us close out our check and start a brand-new one with the next person. Why should the staff's administrative hand-off be the customer's issue? It's just unprofessional. The Valley has so many actual dive bars with character and plenty of high-end spots for a great cocktail; I'm not sure where this place is trying to fit in. It feels like someone bought it and just stopped caring. We won't be back.

Came to the Happy Rabbit with friends to celebrate one of our friends who was going to Europe and won't be back for 3 months. She frequents the place and has told us so many fun things about it that we were excited to go, and it did not disappoint! Apparently they do karaoke on multiple days of the week, and boy there are so many people who sing so well there! We had SO much fun! The bartenders are very friendly and the drinks they make taste great, I really loved the Pineapple Margarita! In addition they have an area outside where food trucks or carts will park and offer food. I truly enjoyed the Fried Zucchini from whichever truck was there and I'm sorry that I did not catch the name of the food truck because I was so tipsy and little did I know, I was having appendicitis so I was not really walking around allot, I just thought I had a pulled achy muscle in my side but by the next day I would end up in the ER (LOL), but if you are reading this, I LOVE your Fried Zucchini!!!! Other great things is everyone that was in the place was friendly and smiling, there are many TVs all around so you can follow along with the lyrics no matter which direction you are facing, and if you need to use the Bathroom, the bathrooms are clean and spacious! I definitely will be back in the future to enjoy more Karaoke and maybe even play some of the games such as the Trivia night, or Pool on their pool table, and Darts!!!

Happy Rabbit is a hopping good time. This local neighborhood bar & lounge has quite a lot with a front and back patio, comfy couches, bar seating, pool table/billiards, darts, jukebox and more. The bartenders are friendly and cool. Extensive signature cocktails. Cool mocktails. Craft beer as well as imported and domestic. Solid wine options (with a great Wine Wednesday special) and of course your classic non-alcoholic essentials (soda, juice, etc.) They have a great digital jukebox, but typically have a great variety of music playing. Happy Rabbit pulls out a few cool themed nights from it's hat including poker nights, karaoke nights, trivia night and sporting events (ufc, baseball, basketball, you name it) often. The flat screens are abundant and you can enjoy whatever is playing for just about every angle of the bar, including their huge projector. Surrounded by cool art and well placed mild minimalist decor. Happy Hour is daily from 4pm to 8pm, with a late night happy hour or extended special with the purchase of food via outdoor vendors like Burger Bash - Smash Burgers or $5 Margarita Mondays (until 9pm). The bar itself doesn't carry food, but they partner up with local businesses via food trucks, carts, pop-ups and stands weekly. It's nice to see this space thrive (formerly Elevate Bar) in a big way, especially being my just around the corner cocktail bar. Bathrooms are clean as can be. Patio has patio games, plus some seating. Parking is easy on the street and local residential area as well as in back through the alley that you can access from Magnolia Blvd or Weddington Street from Van Nuys Blvd. Come check out the magic at the H. Rabbit!

We came here after a bite to eat. The bartender Thomas was super cool. We watched UFC in sat at the bar. They have all types of seats, tv's games and karaoke. The vibe is super chill, i just didnt like the prices for the drinks but my night was super cool.

If you're looking for a place that checks all the boxes -- great drinks, solid vibe, fun events and friendly staff -- Happy Rabbit Bar & Lounge absolutely delivered. My friends and I dropped by one day and left already planning our next trip back. Here's why: The Drinks & vibe The cocktail menu is creative without being pretentious. They offer classic takes with clever twists -- and house buttons that are clearly crafted with care and personality. The "Smashers Burger" food truck out front is a great complement: juicy, satisfying, and perfect for pairing with one of their house cocktails. The Atmosphere: From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. The front patio gives a nice open-air option, and the interior is comfortable but lively enough to feel special. Whether you're catching a game, doing karaoke or just grabbing drinks with friends, the place strikes a sweet balance between cool and casual. Events & Extras: They host all kinds of fun -- karaoke, trivia, open mic, speed dating nights, themed events -- which means every visit could feel a little different. We happened to catch a drink and played some games one night and had a blast with my wife and friends. Also, the happy hour specials are strong (house cocktails and wines at reduced rates, burger specials with a drink purchase) -- nice value in the Valley. Service & Overall Feel: The staff were prompt, friendly and seemed genuinely into making the experience good. We had Thomas at the bar giving solid recommendations, and none of that rushed or indifferent "I'll be with you when I'm ready" vibe you sometimes get elsewhere. It felt like a local spot people are proud of -- exactly what you hope for when you find a new favorite. Final Thoughts: Whether you're just after a quality after-work cocktail, a lively Saturday night with friends, or somewhere to catch your team and sing karaoke later, Happy Rabbit delivers. We had zero complaints, a lot of laughs, and left feeling like we found a new "go-to" bar in Sherman Oaks. Highly recommend -- 5 stars without hesitation.

Loved the bartender Thomas, and the cool laid back vibe of this place. Also, a wonderful happy hour. God save real happy hours! Nice folks hanging out as well.

What a great find! Was visiting a store nearby and discovered this little gem in Sherman Oaks. For the price, five stars and definitely recommended. This bar has gone through multiple iterations, but I think I'd like this one the absolute best. Friendly staff, pool table, TVs and screens EVERYWHERE so it was a great place to watch the Lakers get their asses kicked by the Bucks. The happy hour cocktail prices are incredible and they have different activities and specials every night of the week including karaoke, open mic, trivia, etc. They don't have food on site per se, but there's a Smashburger truck and sushi place next-door. The decor is great because they have nice couches as well as plenty of tables. I was surprised at how clean the place was. Definitely going to bring my wife here. My margarita was great and I intend to try some of the other cocktails as well. If you're looking for a local Sherman Oaks dive bar that's clean, and expensive and approachable, this is your place. Will return regularly.

Great bar recently reopened by new owners Brandon & Carson. It's huge inside with plenty of comfy sofas, tables and seating at the bar. Thomas was our bartender for happy hour on a Thursday and shakes a mean cocktail. Super friendly and ready to serve your drink of choice. Highlights: *Several TV's for sports fans, Karaoke Wed & Sat night, Trivia on Thursday's and DJ dance night on Fridays. *A very hip addition to the neighborhood!!! *Gary, owner of the food truck Smashers, is ready to cook up some yummy food while here (located out front of HR) *Plenty of meter parking and free street parking on side streets *21+

Just moved to the area and was looking for a local bar/lounge to call home (lol). I stumbled across Happy Rabbit and it did not disappoint. Karaoke nights most of the week with an AWESOME host. Poker nights on Tuesday. And they show all the big games/fights every weekend(with no cover). The guys behind the bar are friendly and attentive. I can't remember my cup being empty for more than 5 minutes ever ! If you're looking for a spot that feels like a place to kick it with your friends this is it. (The couches are super cozy).

It's a small place and the decor didn't really feel like it matched the vibe, and the karaoke set-up was not very good. It was really hard to hear the backing music, even when you were the one singing, but this isn't the type of place that you come to "perform" for karaoke like a lot of other places in LA. It's very casual and low-pressure. Song choices were all over the place (which isn't necessarily a good or bad thing). Late night happy hour menu was decent and they offered it from 9pm on that night, and the place did get packed to standing room only. I had a hard time finding info on what their happy hour was before we went, so I took a picture to share. This was on 2/6/2026. The bartender, Brian, was very friendly, but I realized when looking at the emailed receipt afterwards that he switched one of my sibling's drinks on my tab, and I'm assuming mine got put on theirs. We have the same last name, so I understand the mix-up, but it would have been nice if he just asked about who was who instead of assuming, and it also would have been nice to see an itemized receipt before paying instead of just seeing the dollar amount we owed. Not a huge deal this time, just something that I hope they will keep in mind in the future. For food, my partner was able to get a pizza from a place across the street and bring it back into the bar, and Brian was kind enough to offer extra napkins. For other people with back problems, be aware that their bar stools do have back rests on them, but no cushions. We had a good time, and this bar seems to host special events regularly, which we may go back for eventually if the right one comes up, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back here.

Sherman Oaks is gritty and the section of Ventura Boulevard that houses TLP is almost brutalist in its anti-establishment aesthetic. You would never know it was here if you didn't either live in the neighborhood or seek it out as I did. It is sandwiched between a completely non-descript place that I didn't even look at and a crystals shop with grafitti-etched windows (unfortunately!) but some really cool beads. Inside is the same -- no frills, a dress-down and survive-if-you-dare vibe. My pictures will illustrate what I mean. Nevertheless, the friendly service (shout out to our server, Patrick), the menu, and the quality of the food are well worth it. Again, see what we ordered in the photos attached. Everything was delicious. The floor, tables, and chairs were all clean. There is some kind of post-apocalypse rhumba going on with the ceiling treatment. It is almost reverse-logic art with all the shading (stains? velour movement?) and utilitarian installation it reveals. Love the walls though, and the worn distressed wood everywhere (see the pix, folks). A bonus was watching the Masters (Patrick let us linger) and sitting by a giant window that was open to the street. Parking is up a block or so on either side. We always find safe spots in Sherman Oaks. The music seemed to be one CD of an unknown (to me) vocal artist and was pleasant. The crowd was friendly and the whole atmosphere was like one big homey grunge party. You know those mornings you fall out of bed and almost don't want to change out of your pajamas or yoga threds? This is the place to go. I loved it. (NOTE: You may have to refresh this page twice to see my pictures, for some reason. grrrrrr)

Awesome food, awesome service. Chris was a great server. Was on point, friendly and generous. Would…read morerecommend to everybody who likes BBQ, burgers or ice cold brewskis.

What an absolutely wonderful evening. It all started with the great customer service on the phone…read morewhen I called to make the reservation. Once we arrived the interior had a relaxed, easygoing vibe, modern but cozy, with stylish design touches that made the whole space feel welcoming and unhurried. Even the waiting area with it's low lit seating surrounded by book cases was really cool. My wife, my sister and I had a wonderful table near the fireplace in the center of the dining area. Nearby were draped booths that would be perfect for a more romantic evening. Our server was, Haley...she was incredible. Very personable, helpful and extremely professional. You'll be in good hands if you're lucky enough to get her! Then the food...Wow. My wife and my sister got the filet migons, watching my wife's euphoric reaction of taking her fist bite made my evening! Omg...thankfully, my wife let me try garlic fries that came with the filets, and they were the best I ever had! I got the Langostino Fettuccine...outstanding. You have to dig a little spicy, which I do...but the vodka cream sauce is the real highlight of this dish. For deserts we got the apple cobbler, the creme brulee and sticky toffee cake. All three were fantastic. But I preferred the cobbler and the toffee cake the most. We didn't get the Le Petit Gateau, their chocolate cake...but we decided to get one to go! HA...it's unbelievably rich and pretty tall and big. It's topped with candied wild cheries...it's two days later and we're still eating this yummy treat. All in all...I would recommend this for any occasion...wether you're looking for just a night out with solid service and great food, to a romantic evening. We got there around 6...but later on there was live music with these two gentlemen on guitars that really played perfect atmosphere music. You can't go wrong with a night out at Firefly!
