Fantastic place to get car parts, especially for German stuff. Selection is vast, with tons of OE and aftermarket stuff available. (WorldPac supplier). Prices are competitive with anything you'd see online, with the bonus that you can pick up the merchandise instead of shipping it. Parts can usually be gotten the same day. BMA can also score some dealer-only special order stuff at way better prices than the dealership. Sergio and the guys that work here are super-friendly and helpful, easy to work with. Japanese car part selection tends to be more limited, but that's typical - those distribution channels seem more locked-up than the German ones. Still worth a shot to call them and see if they carry it. If you own a German car and work on it yourself, BMA is an essential address. Better employees and way more worthy parts than what you'll find at Napa or AutoZone, without the insane markups and crap service of the dealerships. Let me start by saying I had bought parts from these guys for years and had been treated fairly in the past. When I bought some pads for my car using the automated service online it provided me with the incorrect parts. I contacted them when I went to install the parts and discovered that they sent me the wrong ones. The salesman told me that they knew they had some issues with the site and needed to get it changed. Someone was supposed to contact me about return shipping of the incorrect parts. Well lets say that never happened. When I contacted them again I ended up talking to a manager that acknowledged they sent me the wrong parts and that they dropped the ball by not calling me back. They even said they know they still have issues with there website but haven't had a web guy to fix it for the past couple of year!!!. They would not cover the return shipping nor return the monies to my credit card. Rather said that they would give me a store credit if I paid to ship them back myself. Hardly seems worth is to spend $15 in shipping to get a credit for $40 then have to spend more money with a company with such low standards. I ordered from them after doing a lot of research after both window regulators went out, website is a bit outdated but I could excuse that for the pricing and free shipping. They had both the regulators I wanted in stock (I normally order from Pelican Parts, but BMA was slightly cheaper for OEM). I ordered the parts on the 16th of August. I mainly ordered from them because they are in CA (as am I), and the site says "Depending on location and availiablity, ground shipments can take anywhere from 1-5 days. 1 being closest to California and 5 being closest to the East coast. We can accomdate faster shipping." (Spelling mistakes and all). Pelican is notoriously fast, and I expected the same from BMA I didn't get a shipping notice so I got a bit concerned on day 2 after placing my order. I called up, got the tracking number, and they had it, but it was shipped from MD! So, now my plan to repair the car before I had to leave is not going to happen. I called up again and asked why it was in fact shipped from MD and the guy explained that it was because that is the location that had both parts in stock. NOWHERE on their site do they mention they sometimes ship from MD, I would have avoided them all together and paid a little more and gone with Pelican, who always ships quickly and arrives nearly the next day. My advice, call them up before you order if you need the parts in a timely manor, because you never know where it may be shipped from regardless where the business address is. read more

This place is slowly deteriorating. The customer service has gone to sh*t. The people who used to work there were awesome, always knew who you were and helped you right away. Now the ones who work there, you are lucky if they even know what you are talking about after you have given them the part number. They used to be my number 1 parts store for years but I've slowly found better part distributors who offer the same exact parts for much cheaper and they help me out with what I need without any hassle. These guys have blown me away with their promptness and customer service. The only name I've caught so far has been Yves, but I know multiple people on staff have helped me out. Twice I've messed up my order. I ordered one part when I meant to order two. The first time that happened I received a call from the shop as soon as they opened, checking in to make sure I needed one, not two, brake rotors. I used to order my German car parts from a couple of big parts warehouses out of state. But the lag time is problematic with that. Then I found out about BMA, 20 minutes away from my home. When you pull into the parking lot and see the quantity of 80s-90s BMWs and VWs, you understand that the people working here are actually going to know a thing or two about the parts they're selling - you simply don't get that from a mail-order place. If they don't have it in stock, they can usually get it same day or by the next day. If it has to be unearthed by an elf in the Bavarian black forest and spirited across vast oceans and continents to get here, they can have it in a week. If BMW says "NLA", BMA might find it PDQ so you're not SOL. Prices are competitive with the mail order stores, and they carry the hard to find "right" fluids that you just can't find elsewhere - Pentosin for your ancient self leveling suspension, Royal Purple 20w50 for your flat-tappet engine, and so on. These guys are dealing with busy German car shops all over town but still make you feel like you are their #1 customer, even if you're only buying a thermostat gasket. read more
