    This is the second time I purchased a car from BMW of Bloomfield. The entire experience was smooth and professional from start to finish. They took the time to make sure everything was right, answered every question, and never made me feel rushed or pressured. To top it off, they even delivered the car straight to my house -- a level of service that truly goes above and beyond. A special shout-out goes to Henry Intriago, my Senior Client Advisor, who was fantastic to work with. Highly recommend BMW of Bloomfield to anyone looking for a first-class car-buying experience.

    Extremely Disappointing and Unsafe Experience with BMW of Bloomfield I deeply regret purchasing my 2021 BMW X6 M Executive Package from BMW of Bloomfield. From the moment I drove the car off the lot on January 30, 2024, I noticed several serious issues that should never have been present in a high-end vehicle like this. The very next day, I contacted Jorge, the sales manager, to report these problems, but he completely ignored my calls. After multiple visits to the dealership, I was told that the CarFax was clean, yet the issues persisted: water damage to the back light, cracking paint, a cracked front light, and excessive paint overspray in several areas etc. Despite the clear problems, it wasn't until March 28, 2024, that the dealership finally made some repairs--an unreasonably long delay. But things only got worse. On July 11, 2024, while driving with my son, the engine light came on, followed by a "Drive Train Malfunction" message. The car began to slow down, stalled, and started smoking heavily. Moments later, it began to burn. I immediately reached out to Jorge again, explaining the life-threatening situation. He promised to follow up with his manager and get back to me--but, once again, I never heard from him. I called again, but my calls went unanswered. I even opened a case with BMW of North America, but when my case manager tried to reach out to BMW of Bloomfield, he reported that the dealership was unhelpful and didn't even speak to him. This entire experience has been a nightmare. My son and I were incredibly lucky to escape without injury, but we could have easily lost our lives. The car is now a total loss, and, unbelievably, no one from BMW of Bloomfield has even bothered to follow up or address the gravity of the situation. This is, without a doubt, the worst dealership experience I've ever had with any car manufacturer. Their customer service is nonexistent, and the quality of the vehicles they sell is highly questionable. I strongly urge anyone considering purchasing from this dealership to look elsewhere. The lack of professionalism, the complete disregard for customer safety, and the failure to take responsibility for their mistakes is absolutely shocking. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone!

    Unfulfilled Promises and Disappointment at a Prestigious Dealership My recent experience at a renowned BMW dealership left me deeply disappointed. The journey began with a trip from Washington D.C. to acquire a used Cadillac Escalade. The initial interactions with the salesperson, Robert (also known as Bobby), held promise. He presented a video of the car, assured its excellent condition with only an oil change needed, although he later proved to be deceitful about the car's ownership history. The purchase process proceeded smoothly, with Robert remaining highly responsive. However, issues arose almost immediately after I drove the vehicle home. The car started shaking violently, a problem that persisted and worsened over time. This issue escalated when my wife was driving the car and almost lost control of the vehicle on a busy highway. Upon taking the car to a Cadillac dealership, I was astounded to learn that the repairs would cost approximately $10,000, including fixing leaks in both shocks, a broken engine mount, an engine oil leak, warped rotors, and an electrical issue with the radio. To my disappointment, the extended warranty I had purchased did not cover these pre-existing conditions, indicating that the dealership might have been aware of these issues and should be held accountable. I reported these issues to Robert, who connected me with his manager, James Porazzo. However, James's response was dismissive, insinuating that the Cadillac dealership was overcharging and possibly providing false information about the required repairs. Seeking a second opinion from Midas confirmed the Cadillac dealership's diagnosis but with a slightly lower repair cost. My attempts to negotiate a fair resolution with James were initially met with silence and evasion until I posted a review of the dealership online. Subsequently, I managed to contact James over the phone after the review was posted. He offered to compensate me $1,000 for the repairs if I removed the negative review. Although I was not entirely satisfied with this outcome, I decided to accept it as a learning experience. I took the vehicle to the repair shop, and they addressed the issue. I informed James that the vehicle was at the shop, and he assured me that he would pay his share using the dealership credit card; I just needed to instruct the mechanic to contact him. However, days turned into weeks, and the dealership informed me that they had been unable to reach James despite numerous attempts. I ended up paying the remaining amount to retrieve the vehicle from the dealership and informed James that I had covered not only the promised portion but also the storage costs. Fortunately, the local dealership, upon hearing of my troubles with the BMW of Bloomfield dealership, waived 75% of the storage fees. As time passed, and my calls and texts to James went unanswered, he continued to promise that a check would be sent to me soon. It is now March, approaching April, and I have yet to receive any communication or payment from James since I took down my review, as agreed. After owning the vehicle for four months, it has spent more time in the shop than on the road, resulting in minimal driving time. Nonetheless, I regret this purchase and advise caution to others when dealing with this dealership. They lacked concern for my family's safety , completely lied in reimbursing me, told me to take down a negative review and ignored my texts messages and phone calls. Unfulfilled promises and much disappointment!

Went to the dealership (the one next town over) for a simple oil change. Within an hour I get text with a video from the dealership recommending $7000 worth of work. I of course declined and told them to just finish the oil change but when I picked up the car, you bet I drove straight to Montclair Motorwerks from there. Ken and his team took a look at the vehicle and while some of the repairs recommended by the dealership were legitimate, others weren't really needed. The honesty was refreshing. Turned out the vehicle did need some extensive work (thanks Dad). The car was ready within a few days and the price (which was still in the four figures to reflect the scope of the work done) was a fraction of what the dealership would have charged. Additionally I was very careless in leaving something extremely valuable in the vehicle. One of the technicians found it and turned it over to Frankie for safe keeping. Anybody with questionable morals could have taken it and I wouldn't have known. When I picked up the car, it was there for me and while I was of course embarrassed, I was grateful. I'm under no impression that BMWs are cheap vehicles to own and maintain. They aren't. But the high degree of trust I gained from my first encounter with Ken, Frankie an their team made Montclair Motorwerks my go-to since then.

For years, my family and I have been harassed by strange women and men in Essex County, NJ. My conclusion: People think I am anti-Italian, which is ridiculous. My parents were/are Italian-American. My mother was lovely and a wonderful parent. Her family was like a Big Hug. Because of sick/crazed women (and men), I have been bullied and harassed with intent for years. I have been called names; women have cited my body to me in a perjorative tone. I have had to file police reports about these strange/sick women harassing me. I have gone to restaurants and other establishment where strangers have gone out of their way to talk about their Italian heritage and/or relatives near me. Great! I love Italian food and Italian culture! Please don't feel compelled to mention Italian food/culture around me to offend me. I love it all. This is what happened as I waited for my husband to pick me up after I dropped off my car. An employee also spelled my name wrong and said something to the effect of, "Of course, that makes sense." And after he got my car model wrong (a co-worker corrected him with the right car model I brought in to get serviced.) It saddens me that I felt so uncomfortable. The team seems knowledgeable and experienced. My husband has volunteered to take my car to Fix N Fuel after my most recent experience with folks.

Even after moving away, we would often make the trip back just to have them inspect our car because we knew they would give us honest advice. A while back, a chain oil change shop told us we needed new brake pads. We came here for a second opinion, and they explained that the rust we were seeing was normal and would wear off with regular local driving. They were right. A year later, another shop again tried to sell us brake pads during an oil change. We immediately brought the car here, and after a thorough inspection, they told us the brakes still had about 2,000 miles left. That level of honesty is rare. Instead of recommending unnecessary repairs, they only suggest work that actually needs to be done. Their prices are fair, their workmanship is excellent, and most importantly, they genuinely care about their customers. If you're looking for a trustworthy mechanic, you can bring your car here with confidence. In an industry where it's hard to know who to trust, this shop has consistently proven that honesty still exists:)
