This is a long overdue Sales-ONLY** review of my experience at BMW Seattle. I purchased 2015 428i Grand Coupe back in 7/4/15. I actually intentionally waited out to write this review cuz you know how quickly sales people can change once the deal is done. A great appreciation to Andy Werner. He was just the best. After spending the earlier day of fourth of July, just stopped by to browse almost at the end of their biz hours with nothing specific in my mind, though i had been looking around. It was going to be either BMW or Mini Cooper and that was all i knew at that point. I was kinda thinking 3-series though i was in love with 4-series(check out my review at BMW of Bellevue, bleh. Yuck!), but again, had no clue. Andy Werner (apparently, there were a few Andy's) SHOWED ME AROUND. My indecisive mind dragged him from 3 series to 4, then X3's to X1's. He did not hesitate going from one end of the inventory lot to the other end to find specifically what i wanted. He really helped, better yet, RESCUED me in the process of finding what i wanted. The best part of this experience was though the negotiation part. The whole process was just a breeze. There weren't too many back-n-forths, prices of both parties, buyer-me, and seller, were presented str8 up in front of our eyes, written on the paper, and Andy was able to work something out in between where i left feeling not robbed, but better yet, actually feeling like i had done a good job negotiating. After the purchase, to this day, i text him every now and then asking about the car-i should really start looking at the manual myself- and, he wastes no time responding. Leaving the dealership without that inexplainable n unresolved feeling of doubting myself, and knowing i was in the hands of great care, i was VERY satisfied. Dropped my car off there for a week and when I came back, the car sounded exactly the same and the problem was not fixed at all. I then had to come back a month later to drop it off again. They told me they would get me a loaner car and turns out they forgot to mention that I can't get a loaner car because of my age. I was at the dealership far away from home after I took time off work to drop my car off and then they just ubered me home. And now I will have to pay again to fix the same exact thing that I already came here a month ago to get fixed. Such an inconvenience. read more

Update: I had a bad experience with Mark H, but did return to the dealership (after remembering my experience with Stanley and colleagues suggesting Rick and other salesmen they dealt with) and ultimately had a much better experience with Ian S and Kalvin N. Kalvin N. helped me with the numbers and getting a deal agreement and Ian S. helped me with the delivery and post deal agreement. I couldn't get my dream spec of a BMW but compromised for a great deal put by Kalvin N. instead. I ended up leasing, instead of taking the 0.9% financing, but definitely think Kalvin and Ian are some of the better salesmen at BMW Seattle that are more professional and easier to work with. I can't wait for the lease to end and start working on a deal for my dream BMW with BMW Seattle again! read more

We just leased our third BMW from this dealership. We keep going back to them because each time, the experience has been great. We've been to other dealerships but have found that they are not as pleasant to work with or as straight forward when it comes to offers, pricing etc as these guys are. Cameron Powell made our latest experience with them the best so far. He spent a lot of time with us to help us narrow down our choices, and then after we finally made a decision and had the paper work drawn up and signed, we changed our minds at the last minute about the vehicle we wanted. Cameron and the guys at the finance section still made it happen. We were absolutely the worse customers, but they worked late into the night to draw up a new contract and and let us drive away with a vehicle we were happy with. Thank you for that! read more

I have thankfully not been here frequently over the past four years. But as any car ages I've found myself here several times in the past three weeks. I've always been treated very well by the staff here. My service advisor always keeps me updated on what work is being completed and the transportation staff have been awesome in coordinatingcomolimentary Uber rides, courtesy shuttle and loaner rides for me. The waiting room is well stocked and oddly, I don't mind coming here. read more

I took my X3 in today to BMW SEATTLE for an oil change, brake fluid flush, and to replace some of the seat rail end caps (the second visit for the plastic rail end caps). Before leaving BMW SEATTLE I decided to check that the seat rail end caps were installed. One had not been installed. After going back into the showroom and speaking to my service representative he took care of it after 15 minutes or so. This is my fourth BMW that I have owned. While clearly the seat rail end cap is a 'first world' problem, I have to think if their service technicians who bill out at $170/hour did everything else correctly. I sure hope so but don't have a lot of confidence that they did if they could not replace a simple rail end cap. This is the very reason why we didn't buy our X3 or X5 Hybrid from BMW Seattle. We have little to no confidence in their ability to sell or maintain BMWs. We bought our X5 hybrid in Portland in a 30 minute phone call. It could not have been a better experience. And, both Portland and Seattle BMW are owned by the same group! Go figure. Clearly, BMW Seattle is about quantity and not quality. As soon as the warranty on these vehicles totalling $160K is finished we will be using a BMW master mechanic that charges a fraction of BMW SEATTLE. read more

A lack of accountability and integrity, a faulty repair lead to my family's endangerment on a major highway. When pressed for a solution, management and the service department waived all liability and only offered to charge me once again for another repair. THIS IS DANGEROUS! My family was nearly killed and the excuse from management was, "what happened would've taken 8 hours to find out and we can't be liable." DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION! I had a check engine light come on right before a long road trip and wanted to get it resolved for the safety of my family. Alvaro Martinez was my service advisor. I'm very appreciative that he was able to schedule an appointment for me on short notice before the road trip. He quickly pinpointed the issue, ordered the replacement part and got the issue fixed in a timely manner. I was very happy with the level of professionalism and customer service that Alvaro provided. Due to supply chain delays, the part took longer than expected to arrive. Alvaro was transparent and explained the situation. He extended my loaner vehicle and reassured it will be fixed. If I could give the service department at BMW of Seattle six stars, I would. After having a horrible service experience at Bellevue BMW, I took my car to the service department at BMW Seattle for a warranty issue. The service advisor, Nik, was very helpful and I was offered a loaner car that was comparable to the vehicle I was dropping off. I was on my way in the loaner in a matter of minutes, and Nik kept me informed of the progress. The issue with my vehicle was fixed the same day. The entire process from start to finish was as stress free as possible. I will only take my car to this dealership for service. read more

I own a 2002 BMW 325xi wagon with 75,470 miles on it & I recently received a letter from BMW of North America about an important safety recall notice for the driver & passenger side air bags. As requested by BMW of North America, I called my local BMW dealer, which is BMW Seattle & scheduled my appointment to have them check out my vehicle for the recall notice. On Saturday the 8th of April, they took my vehicle into their service bay & I worked with their service advisor Wyatt on the details. They offered me a ride within a 5 mile radius, so I took them up on their offer to go back home while I waited. A few hours later, I received the call from Wyatt that my car was ready to be picked up, & that the driver & passenger airbags in my car were not affected. Upon returning to BMW Seattle to pick up my car, I signed the necessary paperwork & they pulled my car up for me to drive away. About 10 minutes after I drove away I went to roll down the window for fresh air & nothing happened. I tried again & still nothing happened. When I clicked switch to the up position, only the sound of the motor whirring was occurring & then the sound stopped; I realized that the window regulator was already in the down position but somehow the window stayed rolled up. I immediately called BMW Seattle back & spoke with Wyatt & explained how when I brought my car in, there were no issues with the windows. He then informed me that it sounds like the window regulator is broken & that this would be an approx. $750 problem to fix, as well, that it was not their problem, even if I claim that it happened while the car was in their possession. He flat-out denied that BMW Seattle was in any way responsible for breaking my window regulator & that they would not be paying for any repairs. I was appalled. I thought to myself, "How the F*** could my car be brought in for a safety recall inspection to BMW Seattle, with everything working fine, & when I pick it up the window doesn't work & I'm the one responsible for fixing the window regulator that was broken by the dealership?!" Wyatt said that I should make an appointment to bring it back soon, & that they would look at it for me & discuss with me the situation, so I did exactly that. My appointment was for the 13th of April 2017 & Derek L. was my service advisor for today's visit. He greeted me in the lobby & brought me back to his office where I explained to him my situation. Like before, right away he said that BMW Seattle is not responsible for the window regulator breaking & that I'll be responsible for the repair. But this is when they began to allege that it was already broken when I brought it to them. I again explained that the windows were working JUST FINE before I brought it in & that somehow the driver window broke while in their possession, & he replied 'how do you know that it wasn't broken when you brought it in to us?" I explained once again that there was nothing wrong with them, somebody must have rolled down the window, & that it must have broken then. His response was basically that there is nothing that can be done, except for me to pay $150 to inspect the window regulator & subsequently pay $450 plus labor to replace the broken regulator. I told Derek that I have every expectation that if BMW Seattle breaks a part of my car, I expect them to repair it with no cost to me. Back & forth with denial of responsibility & that they're not willing to do anything, he asked if I'd like to see the service manager; I said "yes please." I'm brought to a service manager Shannon T's office, where I try explain my situation. Although Shannon barely let me finish my first sentence before telling me in the most condescending tone, "How do you know that the regulator wasn't broken when you brought it in to us?" Again, I said he can either choose to believe me & trust that I'm telling the truth, or not, but the windows worked fin when I brought it in. I mentioned that I have every expectation that BMW Seattle would remedy this service failure (the breaking of my window regulator, as they suspect) & that if they don't, then I will be posting a Yelp review accordingly, file a complaint with the Washington State Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Department, the BBB a Then he goes on to ask me a hypothetical question about "If we were to pull your car into the garage & your transmission breaks, do you think we're responsible for that?" I replied, "Yes, I would suppose that you are responsible for that." to which he replied, "Actually, no we're not; you see here on this invoice, when you sign this you release us from liability for while we have your vehicle." (And I'm just now reading the invoice's fine print at this very moment, & IT DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING TO THAT EFFECT). My partner and I own 3 BMWs altogether. The thousands of $$ we would have spent at BMW Seattle for service will SURELY be spent elsewhere ANY time our BMWs need servicing. Good luck and GOODBYE! read more

First of all, the dealership followed covid procedures by limiting the number of people inside, wearing masks, social distancing, and sanitizing the area. I felt very comfortable visiting this dealership. I was reluctant to go into a dealership and was leaning towards purchasing a car through Carmax. However, I found a car that I was interested in at BMW Seattle. I really appreciated how professional and LOW KEY everyone was. I took a test drive and loved the car. The purchasing process was very easy and I was back at home with my car within a few hours of my initial appointment. I especially want to thank Blake for putting the deal together and the other Blake (finance) for going through the documents and making the transaction as easy as possible. I would not hesitate to refer anyone looking for a BMW to the Seattle location. read more

I've been to this BMW a couple of times now and I've had great services but this time was horrible. I had to get a replacement of a gasket and a coolant flush and I was suppose to get it done on Monday so I dropped my car off early getting to school late but my car ends up being left at BMW for the whole week without being looked at even once so I ended up picking it up today. I did not get a single sorry which is upsetting and their excuse was that they didn't have the mechanic that could fix my car. BMW Is a huge company there's no way they only have one person that can work on certain cars. I wouldn't necessarily not recommend this BMW because I've had amazing customer services but this time I just wasn't lucky and a sorry would have probably been nice. read more

Never buy the extended warranty! We all have heard that expression but it has never been more true than with BMW. I bought the extended warranty and had several "mechanical" failures, which made the car inoperable. I explained to the service department what was going on and they said my warranty would only cover repairs at a BMW service center. Thus, I had forgone the opportunity to have my car fixed at a much lower cost at a reputable shop 1 mile away. Nothing was covered! The service tech tried to explain to me that the warranty only covered "mechanical" issues like sensors and I educated him that sensors were electrical and, when the car can't move on its own, most reasonable people would consider that a "mechanical" issue. I figured I'd give an update since they did try and help me out. A manager contacted me and offered to update my GPS at no cost. Mind you, she made it very clear that this wasn't something they did regularly and I was getting 'special service.' It was very uncomfortable and when speaking with her on the phone she made me feel like I was the unreasonable one. Anyway I took my car in for the next service apt and 6 hours later I get my newly updated GPS right?? Not the case... Turns out they only updated my firmware. I asked my service coordinator and he informed me that it was 250$. I asked to speak with the manager who had approved my update, and she had already left for the day. I didn't follow up. To be honest, I just don't have the time or energy to care any longer. I have my phone mounted right over top of the GPS. I keep it off... What a waste. I don't think the local 5 series Product Manager realizes that the way customers interact with their on board computer is marketing. Why wouldn't every car go out with the latest software? You're immediately setting yourself up for failure,and your customers up for disappointment. It's pathetic. Anyway bottom line is, I don't think I'll be making my next car a BMW. read more

I have always used BMW Seattle for service on both a 640i convertible and an m550. I never had any reason to second guess their integrity. Today I picked up my car and was presented with an invoice for $2000 to replace the front brakes and rotors. My mistake not to open the quote before approving the repair. After getting home I found all the parts on the repair order, oem, for nearly half of what the dealership charged me for the identical parts. As suspected, the repair was about $800 overcharged. I warn everyone to stay away. They are not in business to build relationships with customers and will sting you the first chance they get. read more

I just bought a 12 year old used Honda from BMW, but they treated me like I was buying the most expensive BMW on the lot! Stanley Ng and the team was responsive, I received timely, ongoing updates as my vehicle was being prepared for delivery, the whole staff made me feel welcome when I was at the dealership, it felt like a great culture among the staff, the building itself is gorgeous and comfortable. Bonus points for the beverage and snack options, it was not a hardship to hangout in their lobby, it's beautiful. I did give this dealership another chance, however man they must think everyone is a sucker. They would not give me more than a $500 discount. They even deceptively included a company benefit and tried to show it as a discount they are giving. Mind you this discount is listed as being above the best negotiated price. I just leased a BMW 2018 GC 430 xi from this store. I am new to Seattle which was why I was looking for a car and thank god I came here. I was shopping around at other brands and.... man none of the sales people there knew what they were doing. At other car dealers, the people were unknowledgeable about their own cars! When I came to BMW Seattle however, I knew I had stepped into another realm. People here were genuine and EXTREMELY knowledgable and experienced in their craft. I personally worked with Stan Ng. What a great guy. He knew everything that I wanted to know about my car and he answered all the questions that I wasn't asking (this is my first car so it was great to have such an experienced guy helping me.) If you are in the market for a BMW, you should visit BMW Seattle. These are REAL professionals. Would recommend to about anyone. Don't be shy! read more

My experience at BMW Seattle was vile! Ashraf Aried lied to me within the very first minute of our interaction. I was familiar with the September programs, as dealerships rely on clients who aren't, with hopes to have clients focus on the monthly payment so they can inflate the money factor, deceiving clients into thinking they are being offered a better deal. After seeing the first number, it was clear he was unwilling to be honest. Since he told me he was preparing to leave for a three week holiday, explaining further that management thought it was merely a holiday, but the true nature of the trip was business -- expanding his Airbnb portfolio with hopes to leave the dealership -- I surmised that he wasn't interested in offering a deal because he's not invested in earning my future business. He returned for round 2, boldly proclaiming management was willing to offer 3 times the discount truly being offered. Enter GSM, Adam Newbolt. He could have chosen to be direct. But he too favoured deception, discriminatorily assuinternet that a woman could not possibly possess basic math skills. I pushed for better numbers, but he wouldn't budge. When I pointed to the backend profit, he took the deception a step further by telling me about the insecurity of those profits. Clearly, he thought I was a fool. I asked about a 2021 available at BMW Tacoma. He claimed it sold that day. Not impossible, but strange -- it was still available less than an hour prior to my arrival at BMW Seattle. I left, hoping he might extend a better offer on my way out, but he let me walk. As I needed a vehicle, and this was the car I wanted, I returned to Ashraf to say very plainly, " This is a #$@&% deal. I know, and you know. But I need a car, and I want this car. Let's try to make the remainder of this as painless as possible ". After taking payment, Ashraf told me to return tomorrow because the dealership was closed. I explained what a terrible inconvenience that would be for me, but he insisted that management decided to close the finance office after the current clients. Lies! I was too exhausted by him and this horrific experience to argue, so I scheduled an appointment for the next day. After leaving, I called BMW Tacoma to verify Adam's claim that the 2021 had been sold. Instead, I confirmed my suspicion that he had lied. I waited nearly an hour after time of appointment, during which Ashraf mentioned he hoped it would be Rachel O'Sullivan to greet me because she was the " best " finance manager; peculiar, as the previous day he had only unkind things to say about her. Interacting with Rachel was every bit as disgusting -- sales tactics of attempting to divert attention, pretence that she was very confused by my questions. Absolutely exhausting! When finally seeing the lease agreement, I pointed out the discrepancies. She only tried to explain them away with what she assumed was slick enough to appease me. I didn't understand the need for such fervent attempts of deception. She claimed Ashraf didn't know what the money factor was -- truly, the most absurd thing I've ever heard at a dealership. Importantly, this information is available to anyone with a brain and a computer. I asked her to confirm that Ashraf had remembered rubber mats. Then he did the unthinkable, claiming the rubber mats were no longer included, as that offer was part of the agreement prior to the " discount ". What dealership on the planet tries to pull something like this?! You have done yourself a disservice, BMW Seattle. Will I service my vehicle at BMW Seattle? Will my spouse lease a vehicle from BMW Seattle when his lease expires in November? Will my mother lease a vehicle from BMW Seattle when her lease expires in March? Will I lease a vehicle from BMW Seattle when this lease expires? No! Three different individuals -- one being the general sales manager -- repeatedly favoured deception over honesty, and treated me with an obscene level of disrespect and insult. That is a reflection of your dealership, not some sort of one-off bad experience with an indecorous sales representative. read more

I just purchased my third BMW from this dealership in the past seven years and can't say enough good things about my experience. Adam Newbold is the new car sales manager and we have always found him to be friendly, transparent, and great to deal with. I also have found their finance department...both Andy and Brenda...to be professional, efficient, and friendly without applying the pressure tactics to add on products during signing. We worked with DJ Johnson as the sales advisor on our recent transaction and found him to be knowledge and helpful in the process. I also always use the service department at BMW Seattle and have always received exceptional service, so highly recommend this dealership all the way around! read more

I tried BMW of Seattle after a horrible experience with BMW Bellevue and it was the best decision EVER! My car was serviced quickly. The staff was a joy to speak with. They even called me during the wait to let me know what they found (my tires were worse than I thought) and even answered questions I had. The best part?! The price! I was charged $450 by BMW Bellevue when I asked for an oil change and Seattle's came out to somewhere around $120! Way more reasonable! I will always take my car the extra miles to Seattle for this good service! read more

These guys are so beyond rude, I actually decided to not buy another bmw. The service operator talked in circles. He wouldn't even tell me if they have the correct tire in stock. He told he to just bring in the car and they will get to the tire in 3 weeks. Nice job! read more

I had a very positive experience at the dealership this past weekend. I went in with a friend to look at a used Volkswagen, but I spent quite a bit of time sitting in a variety of vehicles, and honestly just having fun shopping. I never felt pressured or any expectation that I would purchase the vehicle or any vehicle that day. This led me to feel very comfortable in the space, and very easy to return later that same day to look at the car one last time. Ian Schnack, my salesman, was easy to talk to, and I felt like I was just speaking to a friend about my wants and dreams about cars. I did not feel he was trying to use any information I gave him to try and make me feel one way or another. He let the car speak for itself and was really good at answering questions whenever I did have them. I am very happy with my wonderful new (to me) GTI and can't wait to go back when it's time for me to get a new primary car. read more

So when I bought my car a year ago, I purchased the lifetime warranty oil change... I bought it from a Cadillac dealership in Oregon, but this BMW here in Seattle is the same parent company. Anyways, I just learned that these specific oil changes are not as available as the normal ones are... not cool. Also, unless you have a BMW I would not recommend going. I have an Audi and the first time, they didn't tighten the plug and so oil leaked everywhere (thankful for them, my son is a mechanic and fixed it in my driveway), the second time was ok, but the 3rd time they drained my transmission fluid instead of the oil...just my experience, so be careful when purchasing this type of oil change and I thought anyone can do oil changes, but my experience here proves otherwise. read more

Honestly the best dealership I've ever been to, and touring dealerships used to be a hobby. The space itself is open, clean, and airy, the staff is amazing from reception to financing. Charles and Karl were both fantastically friendly and helpful throughout the buying process (ended up with manual M240i!). He responded via email right away also. When we got to his office he gave us speedy service and when i wanted an upgrade he approved it by going out of his way to supply me with a great car to drive in Seattle. In my nearly 50 years of life I've never had a worse vehicle service experience than at BMW of Seattle. I've owned several BMW's over the years and recently bought an pre-owned i3. The car is a 2016 and has 2 years and 27,000 miles left on its warranty. There is a known issue where the door handles fall off on the i3. I was experiencing this with mine, so I scheduled a service appoinment and drove the car to Seattle. As I live in Bellingham, this is quite a trek, all in all with traffic it was a 4 hour round trip to get the car there. As it takes some time I also asked if they would update the software on the car as it fixes some known issues (although I wasn't experiencing any), and change the oil on the REX engine (which I was told would be at no charge on my initial call to schedule the appointment, which I specifically asked because I know dealers can be expensive, and my local shop said they could do it for $90). So, when I dropped the car I discussed these items with my service advisor. I was surprised then he told me that my oil change would not be free, and that it was normally $180, but they had special for $99. I told him fine, just change the oil. The next communication I received was that they wouldn't cover the door handle as it appears it had been tampered with and it would cost me $575 to replace it! Ha, well yes, when the handle falls off a few dozen times, and I have to push it back into place, it probably looks tampered with. At this point I told the service advisor this was a known issue with this car, but he seemed as if he had never heard of it. He conceded after talking with his foreman. In the same communication I was told that the software update would be $275. Wow, so it makes sense to wait for some sort of issue, then make me drive another 4 hours for something they could do easily during this service session. I passed. Finally, a week later my car is ready. Nearly 2 hours to get to the dealer to pick the car up. All is well, I thought. Opened the door at the dealership before I left an it seemed good, yay! An hour north, and still an hour away from home, I stop to pick up my daughter. I unlock the door and she trys to open it, handle comes right off. Now I can't even push it back into place, it falls off when I go around a corner, hit a bump, really any driving at all. Now I have a car I can't really drive because the passenger door handle is only hanging on with 2 small wires. The service department is unreachable. Even though they are supposed to be open until 7pm, I called at 6pm and was transferred to the voicemail of the service manager who's voicemail greeting said she's only there until 4pm on weekdays. Tried to transfer to the operator only to be be sent to another voicemail box. I've had many similar experiences trying to reach their service department. They must not want customers to set up appointments read more

Buying used: They missed the breaks and the transfer case problems on the certified 25 point check prior to selling. After fixing both under the 60 day warranty it is now leaking windshield juice and stuttering on acceleration. Taking to a mechanic I trust for a diagnostic. Either the service department is incompetent or corrupt. -11/10 if you do buy here have an independent mechanic give it a look prior to purchase. read more
