Highly recommend the good folks at BMW Seattle! I had to take our 328i for some recall work, and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. When making the appointment, the woman I spoke with was very knowledgeable of what work needed to be done and made it easy to get it scheduled. Telling her I needed a loaner for the day was no problem at all...making the appointment just a few weeks out and I was set to go. Getting there I was greeted by a fine tuned operation. They had workers there to greet the guests, friendly people to check in with, and a quick process of dropping off the car. They asked when I needed the car back (and made a note to make sure it was done by then) and it was finished well within that time window. They also had complimentary coffee, tea, water, pop, and baked goods for customers! That was a nice treat, indeed! Oh, and the loaner...nice ride! They hooked me up with a 2018 model and it was smooth! If we end up going for another BMW for our next car, we'll certainly end up here! read more

This review concerns the BMW Seattle service center: My car was broken into and the driver's side rear window was smashed. I called BMW Seattle to schedule an appointment with Jay Caley. Jay told me I could come in the next day at 8:40 AM and that I would get a rental vehicle while they ordered parts/performed the repair work. He quoted me for the diagnostics test ($200), cost of 2-hours labor ($400), and cost of the new window ($325), which they would have to order and wouldn't come in for a couple days. I showed up for my appointment the next morning and was told by the service center that I had no appointment after a few different staff searched for my name and number. When nothing came up in their database, I told Louis at the front desk that I had made the appointment with Jay, who had scheduled everything for me. He replied that "Jay often miscommunicates with customers." Louis took my information down and said I would be able to speak with Alex, a service representative, in 20-30 minutes. I called Jay and left a VM telling him I was on site and asking what happened with the appointment he scheduled. A few minutes later, Louis called me back to the front desk and said that the window wouldn't get repaired for a week, and that BMW would not get me a rental vehicle. I protested and he instructed me to continue to wait to speak with Alex. I proceeded to call Jay again and spoke with him. I asked what was going on. Jay assured me that I'd be taken care of, that I'd get a rental, and we ended the call. When I eventually got called to speak with Alex, he took my information and quoted me for the diagnostics test ($200) only, advising me that the ultimate cost would exceed that. He asked whether I'd be paying out of pocket/up front or using insurance for the repair work. I indicated that I might seek reimbursement from my insurance (Progressive) for anything beyond my deductible, but that either way I'd have to pay BMW out-of-pocket and up front for the repair work because the dealership does not deal with insurance directly, and vice versa. Alex informed me that BMW would not provide a rental vehicle and that I'd have to go through my insurance for a rental. I told him that was unacceptable and informed him that (1) either way, I am paying the dealership up front, (2) that Jay had promised a rental, and (3) this was an unacceptable outcome as my car is not presently drivable. Alex instructed me to wait while he spoke with a manager. In the meantime, I called Jay to tell him that, contrary to his assurances, I was being denied a rental car. Jay asked whether I was "going through insurance" and "what I had told Alex," and that he'd "have to check on what I said to Alex" and then get back to me. I told him that response was unacceptable. He had promised me a rental vehicle with no caveats, and I reiterated that regardless of whether I later sought reimbursement I was paying BMW up front. I asked him to please fix this mess so that I would not have to deal with further frustration and setbacks and concluded our call. I went back inside to wait for Alex to finish speaking with his supervisor. After several minutes, he returned, gave me paperwork authorizing a rental car through Enterprise, and instructed me to go to the front desk without apology for the multiple inconveniences to this point. Louis at the front desk called enterprise and I waited another 30 minutes until Louis called me to the front. They could not get anyone from Enterprise to come to the service center, so they decided to issue me a loaner vehicle. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience and well below the expectations for excellent service I have for BMW Seattle. Please do better. read more

Had a super smooth purchasing process last year of a new custom ordered M340i with salesman Chris Brown, manager Cameron Powell, and finance manager Rachel O'Sullivan. Got MSRP as promised with no dealer installed accessories, and they were sure to follow explicit instructions on vehicle arrival processes that I provided. They were happy to communicate on and accommodate requests for signed documentation on everything I needed for peace of mind to prepare to take vehicle delivery. Came in knowing exactly what I wanted and did not feel pressured into anything in the finance office either. Overall a great experience so far. Josh Logan in the service department was also been great to work with, and was very communicative during our first oil change service. His patience in clarifying all my questions, professionalism, courteousness and timely follow-ups to keep me updated as we waited for my custom order to be ready from the factory was truly amazing. I bought my car here a year and a half ago. I take it here for servicing because it is still under warranty. The employees that I have dealt with are friendly and have customer service skills you expect a premium car place to have. I like all the snacks and drinks in the lobby when you are waiting, that is a plus. Both times I have had to take my car in, I was told it would be done sooner than it actually was. It is nice to have a number to call and text for status updates but when they say they will update you at a certain time, it did not happen for me. I had to call both times. The car washing you get with every service needs some work though. I assume it is because they are in a rush and wash the cars quickly but they miss a lot of spots. Your car comes out looking cleaner but definitely not like you just had it nicely washed. There was still dirt spray near my wheels and towards the bottom of the car. The Sales guy I bought my car from disappeared. He said I could always text him or call him for questions or concerns but he never returns anything. I was supposed to get a missing part to my car, a seat belt cover, but he forgot twice and honestly I never followed up. read more

Man- I took my 2016 m3 there for routine service and could not be more impressed. I used to go to Bmw Bellevue but that place was such a dump ...but never again after my experience at Bmw Seattle today. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and super efficient staff. People worked there seemed happy (which is a big plus for me at any establishment). My advisor Trevor took care of my appointment quickly and efficiently. The shuttle service staff got a shuttle for me within a few minutes. I even spent some time in the show room later that day and sat in every single M car (they had an extensive inventory!) and had a great time without anyone breathing down my neck- it was awesome: the way every showroom should be. Thanks BMW of Seattle! I will drive 30 Min to this location instead of driving 5 Min to Bmw of Bellevue from now on. read more

HORRIBLE service experience. My car was stolen, crashed, and recovered. I have been trying to coordinate a mechanical inspection/estimate with BMW Seattle (I had been a longtime customer) while waiting for the body work to be done at Metro Auto Rebuild. It's been a nightmare dealing with BMW Seattle's Service Department. I have repeatedly been told conflicting things by different service agents. For example: (1) the first recommended they perform a "compression test" as part of a theft recovery inspection; another later sarcastically said compression tests are "never" recommended; (2) the first told me to bring the car in for inspection while waiting for Metro Auto to take the car in; another told me the next day BMW should not do anything until Metro took the car in first; (3) on Tuesday (11/21/23) one service agent told me the inspection could be completed the next day, or if not then by Friday 11/24 at the latest; when I followed up on Friday afternoon, I was told there were "no techs" in that day to do any inspections and nothing had been done on my car; (4) I was told at the outset we would work out the date for return of the free loaner car once the inspection was scheduled; then I received "invoices" showing daily charges for the same loaner car, before the inspection was scheduled (let alone completed), including charges for 140 miles driven (I've driven it no more than 20 miles and have not even returned it yet). My assigned service agent was out for five days, and the agent that was "taking care" of the absent agent's customers simply ignored my multiple voicemails. My voicemails to the general "Service" mailbox were likewise ignored. When the assigned agent returned, it was clear he had no idea of all the activity that had taken place while he was gone. I attempted to contact the Service Department through what I believed was a human being ("Quinn Johnson") who had reached out in response to an email from me asking for help. After several interactions I realized Quinn is a bot (but not disclosed as such). When, after several exchanges, I asked "Are you a bot?", she responded "Hi, I'm Quinn Johnson, sales assistant at BMW Seattle. How can I help you today?" Unbelievably insulting. BMW Seattle lost me as a customer. I highly recommend you not subject yourself to this kind of "service," unless you enjoy being ignored and insulted. read more

Very friendly. But just a heads up, I priced the exact same car at four dealerships. Was extremely challenging to get a price. This one was the least competitive by a *lot*. Not hundreds... They were very nice and likable. So this review is not based on service just based on pricing. (Although getting a quote from them was 4x harder than anywhere else.) I went to this dealership, Bellevue, Tacoma and tri cities. Placing an order with another dealer. So, just be aware apples to apples this is the most expensive dealership in the region. Service technicians disconnected my dash cam and damaged a wire (rear camera wire) to my dash cam. It's a screw-in wire which appears that the technician pulled it out without realizing it's threaded. They didn't even have the nerve to plug-in the other wire which is for power. Unplugging the dash cam seems a little suspicious. My Dashcam starts recording as soon the car is unlocked (BMW). The way the Dashcam records, it is without reasonable doubt, the memory card was removed and files were deleted. If you have a nicer car, be suspicious. read more

I understand some dealerships believe hiding price information, and forcing interested people into calling or emailing is considered good business practices, but it's annoying. I've bought two cars here in the past 15 years. This is a very bureaucratic place to deal with -- lots of phone calls or emails back and forth to deal with simple matters, confusion over how to get things done, semi-oily sales practices. All of which is kind of normal for the car business; I'm moved to write a review because I've finally had it in dealing with their service department. They seem like OK people, but I think they are stuck with some type of contact management system that makes it really hard for them to communicate. In our case, we (husband and wife) have a car that is titled in the husband's name but it's the wife's daily driver. When wife calls with a question or to schedule a service appointment, they can't seem to deal with it, keep the record, or figure out to communicate they have to call *her* back. When husband schedules something, it seems to go well and they can (mostly) keep track of things, either because their contact management system can only keep track of the registered owner's name, not the person who brought the car in. Or, maybe, just maybe, they don't like paying attention to women but only pay attention to men? In any case, they are lucky the brand makes nice cars; we are probably a year or so away from a new one and are likely to spend more time shopping somewhere else rather than dealing again with these folks. read more

Props to Andrew Werner, we had a great experience at Seattle BMW. My wife and I did our research online and were interested in 3 low mileage, loaded, certified preowned X5s. We scheduled test drives w Andrew on Sunday afternoon. Our day opened up and Andrew was able to meet w us earlier than originally scheduled. He had the vehicles so that we could easily compare them side by side. Andrew was very knowledgeable about respective options and packages for each X5. We chose the one we liked, took it for a test drive and were ready to move forward. We weren't pressured nor were we upsold. We scored a hat trick w our X5: price we wanted, trade in at KBB and super low financing. Andrew made this super easy and hassle free. Would highly recommend. J&J read more

Always finishes the work within a reasonable time frame, requesting a ride is easy, and they recently implemented the practice of providing you a short video recording of your car while it's in the shop summarizing the work they did that other brand dealerships have been doing. An incredibly slow service department, compared to other BMW dealers I've visited in other cities. They want you to make an appointment, which may require a weeks-long wait, yet it still takes them half-a-day to do an oil change and switch out your brake fluid. That would be fine, I guess, if they would give you a loaner, but they won't. (At least they didn't in my case.) The best they'll offer is a Lyft somewhere, but if you live farther away than the Lyft radius, you're out of luck. Everyone was very nice, however. My first car purchase attempt did not work out due to delays in securing my trade-in's title (outside our control). However, Benson kept in touch. When a new 2022 X3 that matched our specifications became available, Benson contacted me and I went straight to the dealership. All the paperwork went smoothly and I drove home with a brand new X3. Here's a business that is completely tone deaf to customer service: The first indicator of their attention to service is the lack of anyone available to answer your call at the service department. For years this dealership has never bothered to staff their business with people who can answer calls in their service department. Leaving messages is useless because they inevitably don't return calls anyways - why bother, right? Second indicator of poor customer service is not even bothering to update your voice response system to automatically play a holiday put of office announcement. It's perfectly okay for the management to have customers who are in the unfortunate position of having mechanical issues to be on endless holds to find out no one is available to answer your call. I found out the service department was closed on their website. What is this??? Is this the only place to get information on hours? I won't go into my previous unsatisfactory service experiences at this dealership. I only wish I could be closer to any other BMW dealership like the family owned one in Tacoma because anyone can do a better job than this dealership. If you own a BMW try a good independent repair facility to have your work done. Beyond poor customer service, the rates charged here are exorbitant- you have to wonder if they're just out to pocket every penny of your money instead of investing in simple things like customer service and a really good service staff. Just a reminder that BMW North America is just an importer, not the manufacturer of the vehicles. While I like BMWs, BMW North America's laissez faire attitude towards dealership practices is a big turn off; noce car, but you can't depend on a good servixe experience or get help from the importer in improving things. This primarily relates to the service department. There are nice aspects of the service department including the waiting area and the loaner cars but for me the treatment relating to my recent unsatisfactory repair nixes those positives. They did some work on the roof to install roof racks which required removing the head liner. Upon return to me, the first opening of the sunshade which resides in the headliner made a loud sound. The back shade had hit the roof insulation. BMW Seattle claims it is "impossible" that they caused the issue. Other auto mechanics I have talked to can't believe this happened "accidentally". (Insulation suddenly and mysteriously falling from the roof thereby blocking the shade). If it was starting to fall wouldn't they have noticed? Multiple requests to talk to the manager have been unreturned. read more

Pulled in today 08/22/2020 (Saturday) after I just purchased a 2005 BMW Z4 from Seattle and broke the under-belly driving in Seattle within the first half hour of ownership and all though I did not have an appointment, Tony their service manager took care of me and got my car in to install and replace my broken under-belly cover that Adam from their parts department was able to locate for me in stock. They were awesome and understood the urgency since I had to drive the car back to San Francisco. This BMW dealer is clean, organized, provides peace of mind customer service and has a great team that pulls together to take care of my BMW Thanks to Tony (Service manager who took the time to listen and take care of me), Adam (Parts department rep.) and the entire dealership for creating such a well put together and smoothly synchronized operation. I had a very positive experience purchasing my custom-ordered X5 through BMW Seattle. They were transparent about pricing and discounts (both before and after the crazy car-buying market set in), had ready allocations to place my order (which is important in these times when some options can get pulled anytime due to supply-chain issues), applied no pressure whatsoever for add-ons (extra warranty and such), and most importantly, earned my trust in how they executed the transaction (they honored my refundable deposit when I had to cancel my first custom order as BMW had pulled an option that I had ordered, did not pressure me about BMWFS financing vs cash, and offered the same rate as BMWFS when it was locked in). Special shout out to my CA Robert, who was transparent, patient, and customer-focused from the beginning. He is very prompt and concise with his responses, and was upfront with me about the discounts and pricing; no beating around the bush. He (and BMW Seattle) offered me the best discount when I placed my first custom-order X5 back in Feb 2021 (sigh, it was a car buyer's market back then, and discounts were the norm) which I had to eventually cancel. I placed my second custom order for an X5 on July 19th, 2022 (after a long wait for both the 3rd row + Harman Kardon options to become available). Robert immediately placed an order for me with an available allocation, and I am extremely glad he did that. Had he waited for the end of the month (August 1st), the 3rd row and the Merino leather seats options would no longer have been available (which would have been a show stopper for me). Robert doesn't impose his views too much, but I changed a couple of options on my X5 based on his advice (brown poplar trim and ivory seats), and I am glad I listened to him! He also adhered to my special delivery requests down to the T. Long story short, if you are in the market for a BMW and reside in the Greater Seattle/Pacific NorthWest region, BMW Seattle should be in your short-list (if not at the top of your list), and with Robert, you will be in competent hands! read more

Warning: Do not take your car here for repairs, warranty repairs, service, or any other reason. Word to the wise: Ask them NOT to wash your car, and do a full video interior/exterior walk around of the car prior to dropping your car off. Pros: Clean facility, helpful front desk staff, clean loaner vehicles, wonderful waiting area, incredible sales representatives (shout out to Chaz - indispensable sales representative. Cons: Floor Manager, service manager, and general manager will not take responsibility for damage caused by their service department. I understand people come in every day claiming the service department caused damage to their car, and management has to make difficult decisions about what did/did not happen to be fair to the company and the customer. I respect the difficult jobs they do. However, after deeply scratching my paint in their car wash, the 3 managers (including the GM I spoke with) denied that they caused the damage, as my car was dirty when I brought it in, there was no possible way they could know if there were/were not scratches under the dirt. It's a black car in winter. Yes, it was dirty. I showed pictures taken just weeks before I brought the car in for warranty repair, I showed them evidence that I paid for a 3 stage paint correction just weeks prior, and offered he speak with several people that could confirm I did not wash the car between the paint correction and damage present. Despite all of this, the GM denied responsibility for the damage. I expected better from BMW. It was a disappointment. It wasn't about the. $150 worth of damage that they caused - it was in regards to the principle of the matter - accepting responsibility in the face of overwhelming evidence that BMW was at fault for the damage. I was even asked if I asked them NOT to wash my car. I replied that I wasn't asked - and that I don't bring my car to the dealership for exactly this reason. I also didn't ask them not to break the windows out with hammers or throw bricks at my hood. The GM did offer "good will" repair of the damage they caused, but still denied responsibility. I will purchase my next BMW from another dealership. Disappointing to receive this service from a luxury car brand. Will not be returning. Shame on you, BMW of Seattle. read more

I just "moved in" to my shiny, gorgeous new BMW X3! Sunglasses are tucked away, kid seat is buckled in and my radio stations are set. What a good feeling! That boost is also because of the stellar service I received at BMW. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I drove off with my new car, I was treated to friendly smiles, helpful customer service, and knowledgeable staff--nothing pushy at any step of the way. Adam Newbold (General Sales Manager) patiently walked me through everything and graciously held tight while I made all my decisions. He even held the car for me for a few days without pressuring me, while periodically checking in to see if I had any questions. (Again, never pushy or "salesy" which I appreciated.) As we worked through the numbers, London Agrawal (the dealership general manager) even popped in to say hello which I thought was nice.  One thing that particularly stood out was how they helped make my buying process quick. Adam let me know of all the things I could do ahead of time to minimize the time I had to sit at the dealership.  Also above and beyond ... when I went to pick up the new car, David Chen, a client advisor, had already set a few things on the car for me--including a feature where the mirrors automatically fold in when the car is turned off. This is something I never would have read through the manual to find. He walked me through all the car's new features (again, things I never would have taken the time to notice), and even paired my Bluetooth for me.   I visited a couple of different BMW dealerships and Seattle was by far the best choice; worth the drive and bridge traffic from the Eastside ;) Thanks again to Adam for turning what is usually a hassle of a task for me, into a delightful one. read more

Walking in, it's a very nice and wide open space, well-arranged dealership. First the service area and shop. Dan (I hope it's his name, the older man at the shop) was able to find 3 BMW Seattle t-shirts that originally thought all sold out. Thank you! 6 of 5 stars service there. Second, the showroom side. Now initially, it's a bad impression. There were 2 people sitting on the desk out front, no eye contact, let alone a greet. Maybe it was not the front desk or they were not part of the front desk staff... but to whoever walking in, that would be the impression and if someone sit there, he/she should make eye contact, smile, and welcome the visitors (at least!). 1 of 5 stars (since Yelp can't go lower). We were walking around inside, no interruption, then Michael walked by. Said a simple quick hi and started a small talk, found out we're from the Bay Area, said he used to live there too... no sales pressure and built rapport. On Jan 2022 I was in a low impact collision with my BMW X3 and took the car to BMW Seattle service center for check-up. Andrew Mossart was my service advisor. He informed me that a radiator blind was found cracked and needs replacing. I left the car with them for the fix (and filed my insurance claim). A week later i reached out for an update and was told the car went to a garage - Metro. 2 more weeks later i reached out and Andrew said "you have to coordinate with Metro. It is not my responsibility to update you for a car which isn't in our dealership". Though I thoroughly disagree with that statement, I did not want to get into an argument and reached out to Metro and got my car back. In November 2022 I took the car back to BMW Seattle for routine servicing and was told my radiator blinds are broken and needs to be replaced. This was surprising since that's what was fixed in Jan. I asked the new advisor (Brandon Shaw) to look up the details of the repair and he informed me that there are no records of ANY repairs on my car. I showed Brandon texts from Andrew and my insurance claim payout after which he investigated and confirmed that though the car did go to Metro for repairs, Andrew never provided repair instructions and so the garage simply painted a scuff on the bumper and sent it back. When you own a luxury car you have to take it to the dealer to make sure its well taken care of. My brother and I bought my mom a BMW few years back. We knew how expensive it was going to be for services and parts lets not even talk about labor. But let me tell you I love bringing her car to BMW on airport way no matter what service I need they take great care of me. Even if I'm not aware of the deals and coupons they may have they always inform me. Last year Nik helped us for maintenance needs and he was so amazing I came back for more work. This time Dean helped me last week and of course provided great customer service and gave me options. Now I'm back today for other services. I've bought two cars here since moving from Chicago in 2016. The service is very responsive and communicative. They explain what and why you need what you do and do their best to make sure you have transportation and understand if/why a cost may be incurred. And I've used the same sales guy, Jazz, to buy both my cars. He's great because he works with my budget and checks in to make sure I'm happy. I really feel he works hard to make a car work for me each time and I appreciate it so much. The selection is quite thorough and both the service and sales offices are immaculately clean and comfortable. One of the reasons I keep loyal to the BMW brand is due to the folks here. Absolutely enjoyed my experience here! Sales rep, Stanley, and finance adviser, Andy made what's typically a stressful event into a fun and memorable experience. There were no excess frills and up-selling tactics. Not once did I feel pressured to purchase something beyond my means. When I purchased my certified pre-owned, they offered to do some paint touch-ups. Service adviser, Jason was courteous and prompt in getting me scheduled for an appointment. He also took it upon himself to swap the key fob batteries without additional charge. It may not seem like much for some, but it meant one less thing for me to tackle, and I appreciate his efforts for that. read more
