First time trying Board & Brew , glad we did ! We went on a Thursday night because they had some live Music , Jimmy was his name and he also works at Ten Mile Brewing in Ladera . He sang a bunch of different Genres, he was so good ! We sat out on the patio , they are dog friendly as well . We had the Italian sub which was great, chips and the blond beer not sure of the name but it was refreshing. Just a really fun time ! The best spot about this location? Consistency. Every time I come the sandwiches come out tasting incredible and whether it's busy or not, they come out looking great as well. The outdoor space is nice and it never takes too long to grab a beer while waiting for the food to come out. It does get pretty busy during lunch, even during the week, and the limited space fills up quickly so try to visit outside of the peak hours if you're planning to sit. This place has a large parking lot with lots of indoor and outdoor seating area, the outdoor has heaters which is great for a cold day. I got the Italian sandwich ($11) and 2 beers ($4 each due to 2 year anniversary special). My Bf got his favorite spicy beef dip! Service is always fast and food here is filling and delicious. I loved the cinnamon bun ale, tasted just like a Smokey cinnamon roll. Don't forget to get the secret sauce for the sandwiches (bomb sauce!). After visiting B&B a few times I'd like to revise and bump up my prior review by two stars up to a total four stars. I've stayed away from the salads for the reasons previously mentioned, but I've found their sandwiches to be fresh and healthy. And the place is just a cool place to hang out in our community. My new faves are the Tub-O-Tuna with sprouts, and the Veggie Sammie. I just love the sprouts as it seems to be hard to find nowadays, and their squaw bread is freshly made. This is one of the best Board and Brew locations around! It's the people that work here. Chaun, Emma and Kayla are the best bartenders! No matter how busy it is they always take care of every customer, they're super friendly no matter if you're a new customer or a regular. They always play sports games on their tvs and everyone is really nice that works there. The food is fantastic! If you don't know what to get just ask for a suggestion! I've seen amazing creations, like the loaded grilled cheese and the Baja beef as a quesadilla!! You can't go wrong with any sandwich choice! It's fresh and the food comes out quickly! I don't even drink beer but I love this place! The sandwiches are a delight for my taste buds, especially my favorite, the beef dip. B&B consistently delivers my favorite! Back in 2021 when I still had very little taste due to Covid the only substantial meal I could eat was this sandwich from the RSM location. I was worried that it wouldn't taste as good in Ladera. But not only is it just as delicious as in RSM it's now served to me by an excellent staff. They are amazing! They work hard without letting you know it, know what I mean? And the place itself is great to socialize and meet up with friends. Nice bar and TVs plus plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. All this probably explains why we are there almost 3-4 times a week! Nice to have a few new choices in town. Parking is relatively easy. They have a large indoor/outdoor space. Sandwiches are pretty good. I tried the Turkado. Solid turkey and avocado. Large portions. Turkey club was good but not as good as the Turkado. The left coast pastrami was delicious. A little spicy due to banana peppers but not that bad considering my 8 year old ate a half a sandwich without any complaints. Portions are definitely on the larger side. You could easily do half a sandwich and save the rest for later. They have a special sauce. Tastes like a tweaked thousand island. It's a little on the sweet side. Normally I'm not a big fan of sweet sauces but this one grew on me. Large selections of beers, almost all of them are from local so-cal microbrews. Taking this location off my list from now on. Done. I really like B&B, but this location drops the ball every time. The RSM location is great, the Laguna Niguel location is great, but for some reason this location can never meet the same experience as the other locations. I order regularly through Doordash, and have the same Italian Sub and chips delivered once a week. It used to deliver to me from the RSM location, and the sandwich was always perfect. Lots of meat and cheese, and fresh veggies with soft bread. The last few times for some reason, Doordash selects this location to deliver to me. Talk about a difference, and not for the better! They barely add any meat to the sandwich, the bread is not fresh, and the veggies and cheese are lousy. Seriuosly, they are skimping on EVERYTHING Board & Brew is known for! The last 2 times I have had more pepperoncinis on my sub than meat and cheese!?! Paying the higher cost to get the large sandwich with ample amounts of the meats, cheese, and veggies you get at all other B&B locations? Not happening here. You would get more meat, cheese, veggies, and fresher bread from Subway on a $5.00 sandwich. Sad. Look at the picture I posted of what you will get here, compared to the picture of their stock photo of the same sub, and a picture of the same sub from the RSM location. This is not a one time instance for this location, it is every time this location makes my sandwich. Also, if you order Dirty Chips, which every B&B location carries, you will not get it from here. They will send you Kettle chips for some reason without saying anything? They can't even get that right! I am done ordering from this location, and will make sure from now on which location it is sending my order from. My business is going back to the other locations that know how to make their sandwiches the tried and true B&B way, and actually carry the items listed and available on their menu every single time! read more
