One of our favorite lunch spots in town! They have, hands down, the best sandwiches around. My personal favorite is the Turkado (add bacon!). Their sandwiches are a solid size, so much that my gf and I usually split one along with a side of their house made potato salad, which I highly recommend. Nothing beats their "special sauce" though. It's almost like a sweet and sour sauce specifically for your sandwich; sooo good! They also have several beers on tap which are just $3 during their happy hour (3-6 daily, I believe). Board and Brew's Oceanside location is my go-to place for sandwiches. To make things even better is their selection of craft beers, many local varieties at that! Plus, the service is top-notch here, from the management to the FOH and BOH crew; all the workers are friendly, attentive and ensure that the restaurant is kept clean. How about the food? Well, the Chicken Club sandwich tastes fresh; it's not some gross cube-cut chicken! Plus, it's got bacon. I also love their Tub o' Tuna (portions are HUGE). Fresh bread, too! Of course, the sauce is the boss, and I've just discovered their habanero sauce, so I love the added heat! And when I want something different to fill my belly, their chicken Caesar salad hits the spot. I'm stoked that Board and Brew is in our neighborhood! I must add that they also have a delicious potato salad that rivals my wife's (and that's hard to do!). I'm so happy they finally opened up a Board & Brew in Oceanside! I really am obsessed with their sandwiches since I tried them out about a year ago. So, once I heard there was a location that just opened up here, I HAD TO GO. The place was cute! There's space for people to eat inside as well as a cute little bar where you can order beer and an little, open outdoor patio. Everyone is really chill here and super nice. Their sandwich selection is small but vast at the same time. I got their veggie sandwich (YES! gimme all the veggies) with added turkey. It was recommended by the guy helping me out and I truly wasn't disappointed. The orange sauce that comes with the sandwiches.... OH MY GOD. IT'S BOMB. I'm gonna ask for it every time I go! Lol. Love going to this specific location. Service is always quick and friendly. Staff is always awesome. We love bringing our family out to this joint when they come to visit. Seems to take COVID-19 precautions very seriously for both the consumers and employees. There's stickers on a ground to encourage 6ft apart, plexiglass at cash reg, and open doors for air flow. I called in our order for pick up. It was ready in 15 minutes. At check out, the cashier offered us extra sauce (which I sometimes forget to ask, so I thought that was really nice touch). Words of advice: always get extra sauce. It is the freakin' best. Turkados are my go to sandwich. One day I'll try a new menu item and I'll update this post! When we got back to our apartment to enjoy this lunch, I was so happy to see that the sandwiches were double wrapped so the paper didn't get soggy on the ride home. The first thing I want to address is the sauce that they give you. It is so tasty I would buy it by the bottle if I could. This place has a really great variety of sandwiches and they were all super tasty! My family and I enjoyed all of it. I will admit that it doesn't look the most appetizing in the photos that I took, but they were all very delicious. Most of the sandwiches are close to $10 (probably a little less) and are well worth it. It's enough for 2 meals for somebody who doesn't eat that much. I could wax poetic about board and brew for hours. My younger cousin was vegan for like 4 years until she started working at a board and brew, that's how good the Baja beef is. I could honestly eat here every day. The sauce is like liquid crack, and the sandwiches are always freshly made and THICK. They have hot and cold options, so there's something on the menu year round. I don't drink, but for people who do they always have tons of choices on tap and rotating! My friends like the selections available. This place is so good! We come here at least twice a month and usually get a few Baja Wraps and the Chicken Club on Squaw Bread. The Baja Wrap is just so ridiculously good though! I typically ask for a couple extra sides of the secret sauce and their spicy sauce just to kick it up a notch. I'm sad to say my 2 year old, roommate & myself got food poisoning. I reached out to a woman in corporate because it was an extreme case I felt like the company should know how bad it was, my son threw up all night. Then my roommate and I threw up so much we had to go to the hospital and miss days of work to recover. In the process my lower face got swollen and hard I had to go on antibiotics. My roomate was throwing up for 4 days with a low grade fever. The woman from corporate said she would call me back and she never did. Cold chills, weak teeth, dehydration felt like we got hit by a huge bus, The dehydration was really bad from so much throwing up we could not even keep Zofran down. It was by far the worse case of food poisoning we ever got. I was hoping to hear back from the woman in Corperate due to how bad it was for all of us but never did.
