BOARD & BREW This one hits the spot every time it's a day at the beach! I love how convenient this place is, being right on Pacific Beach. I've been to this location numerous of times, and really enjoy their Turkey Club! It's pretty delicious, but the star of the show is their sauce! It's so flavorful, and I could go through 3 of them. My boyfriend got the Bulgogi Beef and it was super delicious! He said it was really flavorful, and I tried it and it was smoking hot! The only thing that lost a star for me was their service, they've never been welcoming, asks how anyone is doing, and looks super annoyed to take your order. The place itself is a bit dirty, the tables are sticky, and chairs has bits of lettuce or sauce on it. Parking can be a hassle, you have to find street parking however it is free! I've been coming to board and brew to specifically get the baja wrap for 10+ years! I've also brought people with me who have gotten other items on the menu and they always rave about it. I went last Saturday and it was busy, not a ton of seating inside but I think this place is great to grab and go and sit at the beach option since this location is right by it. There aren't a ton of places you can do this right by the beach in PB! I don't believe this location has any beer available. Which can be confusing given the name "Board and Brew" but I've been to other locations and they have had a separate bar inside with beer. Not this one. But there is a place right next door that serves beer. There is a parking lot behind the building that offers a free hour for B & B customers. You can find parking here during the week just fine, but not likely over the weekends. If you're looking for a great sandwich or wrap, I highly recommend Board and Brew. read more

I got the grilled chicken wrap- the one with jalapeños and grilled onions. I was disappointed- they forgot the avocado, and the onions were hardly grilled. I wish the jalapenos were grilled bc they were way too spicy and big, I had to pull them out. The special sauce on the side was good but they also forgot the ranch I asked for AND they forgot our chips! We make sure to stop at Board and Brew whenever we come back to San Diego. The orange sauce really is as good as they say it is. We've tried recreating it, but it just isn't the same at home. OK, I don't know how to feel because places like this make me lessen my love for my hometown, Seattle. Every sandwich we ordered here was the most perfect sandwich I could ever imagine. About my tuna, I am so glad I ordered the pickles. You have to order the pickles with tuna! I guess if I was grasping at improvements, maybe spreading the tuna around would be better because it was kind of centered in the middle of the bread. Such nitpicky feedback, I shouldn't have even said that. The bread by the way is, I guess it's special to this place. It was so amazing and soft and flavorful and fresh and I wish I could make a bed out of this bread and crawl in and sleep for 100 years like sleeping beauty in it. OK, let's talk pastrami. The mix of flavors offered in this sandwich are shockingly amazing. Talk about a punch in the face of flavors. The bread that it comes with that has that harder shell on it or crust made me want to have more time so I could order one and go down to the beach and just nibble on it all day , as it would last that long, I would actually gobble it up. Along those lines, I could see how the wrap would be a great choice for bringing down to the beach. I tried the special sauce and it was very sweet and you know what I did with it? I dipped my potato chips in it. It kind of tasted like a very sweet barbecue sauce watered down. I'm not explaining it very well so I'm gonna stop. My daughter tells me that people Are addicted to the sauce and pour it all over their food. The sandwiches were so good to me the way they were. I did not want to add that flavor. This is all I've dreamed about in a sandwich place. With all the dining that we did in San Diego, his is the place I want to fly my son out to try this place and there's some Ramen place in Little Italy that was super good.
