BOARD & BREW This one hits the spot every time it's a day at the beach! I love how convenient this place is, being right on Pacific Beach. I've been to this location numerous of times, and really enjoy their Turkey Club! It's pretty delicious, but the star of the show is their sauce! It's so flavorful, and I could go through 3 of them. My boyfriend got the Bulgogi Beef and it was super delicious! He said it was really flavorful, and I tried it and it was smoking hot! The only thing that lost a star for me was their service, they've never been welcoming, asks how anyone is doing, and looks super annoyed to take your order. The place itself is a bit dirty, the tables are sticky, and chairs has bits of lettuce or sauce on it. Parking can be a hassle, you have to find street parking however it is free! Highly recommend stopping by, would bring your food on the beach or somewhere! read more

I've been coming to board and brew to specifically get the baja wrap for 10+ years! I've also brought people with me who have gotten other items on the menu and they always rave about it. I went last Saturday and it was busy, not a ton of seating inside but I think this place is great to grab and go and sit at the beach option since this location is right by it. There aren't a ton of places you can do this right by the beach in PB! I don't believe this location has any beer available. Which can be confusing given the name "Board and Brew" but I've been to other locations and they have had a separate bar inside with beer. Not this one. But there is a place right next door that serves beer. There is a parking lot behind the building that offers a free hour for B & B customers. You can find parking here during the week just fine, but not likely over the weekends. If you're looking for a great sandwich or wrap, I highly recommend Board and Brew. read more

Service was awful. Their hours are 10am. I was standing outside until 10:10am. 6 people behind the counter and one woman who looked like the manager just walking around the restaurant. I was going to place a catering order, but it was clear they didnt want to open. When I drove off, they still hadn't unlocked. Better use of my money to support another restaurant. I don't get the hype! I'm sorry. I wanted to love it, my friends love it, my brother in law loves it. But it's just basic sandwiches. Deli meat. I got the grilled chicken wrap- the one with jalapeños and grilled onions. I was disappointed- they forgot the avocado, and the onions were hardly grilled. I wish the jalapenos were grilled bc they were way too spicy and big, I had to pull them out. The special sauce on the side was good but they also forgot the ranch I asked for AND they forgot our chips! I had to go back and snag those myself knowing they were right there on the receipt! read more

Ideally located next to the beach for grab and go option. Baja wrap is my all-time favorite. Just make sure to dip the wrap in the side sauce for full experience! Wait times can be longer on sunny (beach) days so plan accordingly read more

We make sure to stop at Board and Brew whenever we come back to San Diego. The orange sauce really is as good as they say it is. We've tried recreating it, but it just isn't the same at home. The sandwiches can totally stand on their own but highly recommend getting extra sauce. We love getting sandwiches to go for the beach, and we've enjoyed the PB location's outdoor seating. Our regular orders are the Turkado and Veggie Sandwich. read more

We stopped by on a road trip to grab a quick lunch in pacific beach. The parking was horrible, but once we found a spot the restaurant was not too crowded. We ordered a turkado and a kid's grilled cheese for take out. It was ready at the estimated time. The turkado was delicious! The sourdough bread was fresh and soft. The sandwich had a lot of ingredients and the flavor was great! The kid's grilled cheese is a large portion and was on the same sourdough bread. We enjoyed the sandwiches! My favorite sandwich on the planet. Turkado + sprouts on squaw x sauce. HEAVENLY. Hefty, but lite. Service is always good. Even though there's plenty of seating inside and out, I'm always a to-go so I can eat at the beach. I'm sure they have other good stuff to offer, but why seek out anything else when you already struck gold? Grass is not always greener. Happiness is found here one bite at a time. This is always a must stop for us when we are here! Highly recommend the baja chicken and ask for a slab of cream cheese on it & baja sauce. The bread is fresh, chicken is perfectly seasoned & grilled and that cream cheese just adds the perfect touch! Staff is always friendly & the shop is always clean. Great spot for after a long walk on the boardwalk. This place is always packed and for good reasons. The food and service is always on point. The sandwiches are massive, you never leave here hungry. OK, I don't know how to feel because places like this make me lessen my love for my hometown, Seattle. Every sandwich we ordered here was the most perfect sandwich I could ever imagine. About my tuna, I am so glad I ordered the pickles. You have to order the pickles with tuna! I guess if I was grasping at improvements, maybe spreading the tuna around would be better because it was kind of centered in the middle of the bread. Such nitpicky feedback, I shouldn't have even said that. The bread by the way is, I guess it's special to this place. It was so amazing and soft and flavorful and fresh and I wish I could make a bed out of this bread and crawl in and sleep for 100 years like sleeping beauty in it. OK, let's talk pastrami. The mix of flavors offered in this sandwich are shockingly amazing. Talk about a punch in the face of flavors. The bread that it comes with that has that harder shell on it or crust made me want to have more time so I could order one and go down to the beach and just nibble on it all day , as it would last that long, I would actually gobble it up. Along those lines, I could see how the wrap would be a great choice for bringing down to the beach. I tried the special sauce and it was very sweet and you know what I did with it? I dipped my potato chips in it. It kind of tasted like a very sweet barbecue sauce watered down. I'm not explaining it very well so I'm gonna stop. My daughter tells me that people Are addicted to the sauce and pour it all over their food. The sandwiches were so good to me the way they were. I did not want to add that flavor. This is all I've dreamed about in a sandwich place. With all the dining that we did in San Diego, his is the place I want to fly my son out to try this place and there's some Ramen place in Little Italy that was super good. The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful and so San Diego it's almost like he was an actor. Great casting, great decor, great food thanks for the experience. read more

This was my first time at Board & Brew and I loved it! I got the California Delight and was very happy with it because I never thought to put turkey and cream cheese together, but it was SO good! I was very confused because I thought there would be craft beer here but I guess they do not serve beer at this location. The food came out pretty fast and the servers were pleasant! Who doesn't love a delicious sandwich after a morning walking the beach? This sandwich place was clean, efficient, and tasty. After a walk on the beach in the morning we decided to check out this sandwich place. They had just opened for service when we got there and they were able to whip up these scrumptious sandwich. Board and Brew is THE spot! The staff is always so friendly and caring. Any questions I had they were happy to answer. Carla helped me out and was so sweet, she made me feel welcomed as soon as I came into the store. I got the "California Delight" a refreshing sandwhich perfect to enjoy in a sunny day at the beach. I forgot to take a picture because I was so excited to eat it haha! They always play great music and it's always such a good vibe. I will say at times Board and Brew can be very busy but that's because it's so dang good, SO worth it! Whenever I'm in PB Board and Brew is my Go To! Been waiting to try Board and Brew for like a year now but could never make my way up to Del Mar to try it out. When I heard they were opening up in PB I was ecstatic. It also is right across the street from where I work so it looks like I'll be getting it a lot. My boyfriend and I came in the other night for dinner and both got the Turkado because we had heard so much about it. It is definitley a simple sandwich, nothing crazy or extravagant inside, but it is amazing. They stuff the sandwich with avocado and turkey and it's huge (I only could finish half). They serve it with a very unique sauce on the side so make sure to ask for it. I can't wait to come in and try their other sandwiches. Some that stood out to be were the chicken club, the baja wrap and the pastrami. I have a feeling this is going to be my new go-to spot! read more

I Read great things about this pleas , then I decided to try it I get the California delight , the bread was so old I think it doesn't take more an 3min to toast the bread (nothing better from fresh bread)also the turkey was salty no taste for quality meat, unfortunately people looking for cheap price. Great little sandwich place in a nice area. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it was pretty good! The regular sized portion fries are a bit small so I suggest ordering the next size up--they're worth the added cost. My friend got the club sandwich which had a more cheese than meat, but filling was good nonetheless. Food we ordered was tasty but obviously not on the healthy side. I don't know how this place has almost 5 stars. It is okay, a little overrated. I've heard about this restaurant for a while and was in the area and decided to try it. My friend and I both had sandwiches without much flavor. Maybe I picked the wrong sandwich, but it was not as good as I was expecting. I don't think I will come here again unless I was convinced. I ate at the del mar location before and it was pretty good, however when I are lunch here this past weekend it was mediocre at best. The quality of ingredients just didn't taste as fresh as the other location. The bread was a little stale and the lettuce was wilted. I know this spot only opened up a few weeks ago so ill give it a month or two to get their act together and come back and update my review. read more

I ordered the breakfast burrito with tots and really enjoyed both, as well as the RAF Caramel latte, which was the perfect sweet caffeinated treat I needed after a flight from the East Coast. I chilled and read my book while eating until the rest of my group arrived. When I come back, I'll be visiting OB Surf Cafe again!

Great little neighborhood joint…read more I ordered the breakfast taco with chorizo. Was good. Large portion. I would have e preferred 2 tortillas since the 1 was overflowing. But they provide a fork so nothing is left behind I also got a pineapple drink. The coffee is drip coffee so I skipped it. Parking is street parking It was a late Saturday morning, and they had a great festive music playing The guy running the counter and things under control and provided great customer service. Came here because highly recommended by Yelp users. Ordered chilaquiles with green suace, eggs over…read moreeasy and black beans. Flavor wise, not bad. black beans were decent. But the chips?! I can say they probably served me their most stale chips and smothered it in sauce. I used to live in SD. These are the worst chilaquiles I've had here. Maybe order something else in the menu but don't come here for chilaquiles. I was going to rate this place higher, but they really butchered this dish and service was -_-
