This place is pretty great. They have alot of options as far as alcohol goes. 1 pool table. Couple old school games. They have a burger spot right outside of the bar- the burgers are really good. Fairly a good amount of seating is available. Long table top bar. It does get very loud in here. Staff is pretty pleasant. But I will admit they need a new security guy. He was lazy. Initially when I got there I pulled out my id to show him and he just waves me by. Then my friend offered his and he just says your good. Didn't even check our IDs at all. That is a tad concerning considering the crowd was fairly young, college students it seemed. Parking isn't to bad here because its a residential area you can find parking.

This place was GREAT!!! I am not a Colts fan by any means....we didn't know this was a Colts bar prior to walking in. We were just driving by and said "Oh this looks fun!" If only there was a picture of my face walking in with my 9ers jersey and my 9ers shoes when it hit me.....BLUE and WHITE everywhere!!! Atmosphere was fun and loud! Staff and patrons were so nice and service was amazing!!!! Drinks were nice and strong with great beer selection! Good times!!!!

The Sidecar cocktail as been one of my favorite cocktails for many years. As many San Diego cocktail bars don't serve brandy, it can be a little more difficult to find. The Sidecar Bar opened up a few years ago, and, somehow, I had not visited until recently. It so happened, that we had tickets to check out a band at a venue just around the corner, making Sidecar the perfect place to grab a drink and a bite. I had expected a chill dive bar scene, especially knowing that Sidecar is sort of known to be a biker bar. However, it was absolutely packed when we arrived. The bar felt to be more of a mainstream bar, with customers from all walks of life, the majority being in young, casually dressed adults. It was pretty cool, in that they had lots of games on one end of the bar and a small stage area for bands at the other end. We came on a band night. I have no idea who was playing, but it was a cover band and they seemed quite popular. It was cool to see the the Sidecar was the first cocktail on the menu. I ordered a Sidecar and my husband ordered a Sazerac. Somehow, despite the crowd, we were able to order our drinks quickly. Also, somehow, we found our own table on the side of the bar. The drinks were very well made, so we ordered another round. It is rare to get cocktails as well made as these for $12. Since we hadn't had dinner, we both ordered protein bowls from The Shed, the small eatery that is attached to the building. We ate inside the bar with our drinks. All in all, it was a great stop before our show. I would gladly head back for more Sidecars, but would prefer to go on more of a chill night.

Yup!!!! Sidecar is still one of the best!!! Made it back down here today with my now fiancée and we tried a couple new drinks that I hadn't yet tried. After a traditional old fashioned we decided to order a penicillin which was a fantastic cocktail with great flavor and then we both had a paper plane. Albeit we just had our first experience here a couple months ago, Sidecar remains one of our favorite bars now.

Delicious drinks, hearty and flavorful food, and awesome service - definitely make a stop here to grab a burger on-demand with a cold drink and chill out. Thank you for the awesome service, Emmanuel!

I was drawn here because this place was the only spot in town that had Melvin 2x4 IIPA, 9.9%. This beer is quite elusive to find on tap. They always have some rarer ones on draft. It was well worth the visit, and I noticed this is a really lively place as the night progresses. While the crowd was primarily younger Gen Y and Z, this Gen Xer had no problems feeling out of place! Then again, I'm at the age where I don't care anymore about petty stuff like this.. Not really a biker bar, but this is also a hangout for newer age dudes with motorcycles. All types of bikes. You don't need a Harley or Indian to park it outside and feel like you fit in. They seem to have some interesting and creative cocktails, which I would come back to try without a doubt. This was specifically a beer mission that was accomplished. The other cool thing is they have games! Not on the arcade level, but still quite a few to enjoy with your friends while drinking. I dig this place, and just wish it was a little closer to home so I could hit it more often.

We stopped by for drinks with friends, I don't really like bars or crowds, but it was surprisingly light and quiet on the night we came by. The vibe was pretty chill, they had a nice selection of beer and cocktails to choose from. We will be back to try the food and other cocktails.

Empty glasses because their bartenders SUCK BIG TIME!!!!!

Can drink inside. Not on the patio near the street to smoke or anything. So had to down a beer to puff on a cigar.

The real star, however, was surprisingly the Pomegranate Mojito. Pomegranate happens to be one of my favorite fruits, and it's quite rare to find anything pomegranate flavored, let alone a drink! I initially ordered the something and picante (can't remember the full name) and found it to be way too sweet. Then switched to a basic Lalo with soda and lime to cleanse my palette. After tried their version of an espresso martini which was quite good but made with nitro brew and kahlua so a bit on the sweeter side. My son has visited her family and have gotten to know his girlfriend's family. Last night was the very first time we got to meet my son's girlfriend's family and I'm thankful to her for setting up this dinner at La Doña for us to finally meet and get to know each other. I really liked the lively vibe of the restaurant, the tortilla chips and salsa were yummy, and my entree was delish and memorable, but there definitely were opportunity areas with our service. La Doña is located in laid-back, bohemian Ocean Beach just a short jaunt to the Ocean Beach pier. It's directly across the street from Raglan Public House restaurant, An's Electronics gelato, and Indie Yoga. We parked in a public parking lot that's next to the restaurant, which was convenient, but know you'll be paying almost $26 for parking. Highway robbery if you ask me. We visited on a Friday and our reservation was at 6pm. As soon as we entered La Doña, you immediately could tell it was a popular eatery. The place was packed with diners. It's a large space with indoor seating that has beautiful wooden engraved chairs and wooden tables, bartop seating with leather stools, and plenty of covered outdoor seating with picnic tables and mosaic, concrete round tables. Our waitress was friendly and patient, but there were definitely opportunity areas with the service. We had a party of 11 and when the food came out, our party's orders were mixed up and given to the wrong people, so this snafu created a lot of confusion. Despite the confusion from the wait staff, my family is so thankful to my son's girlfriend for setting this dinner up, so we can finally meet her lovely family. We've had the pleasure of her being a part of many of our family get togethers and outings, so it was a blessing to see and talk to the people who helped mold her into the wonderful person we've gotten to know. At La Doña, Mexican food is their specialty and on their menu, they serve antojitos aka appetizers, tacos, combo plates, salads and soups, plates, sides, and desserts. For appetizers, they ordered bottomless chips and salsa and crispy brussels sprouts, which my son's girlfriend highly recommended and she was spot on. Please know the chips and salsa are not complimentary, so take advantage of them being bottomless and keep them coming. The tortilla chips were fresh and tasty and the salsa wasn't too spicy. The brussel sprouts came with bacon, cotija cheese, pumpkin seeds, jalapeño vinaigrette, and pomegranate seeds. She was so right about the brussel sprouts, but I had to share with the group and I had to save room for my entree. For my dinner, I selected the steak and shrimp fajitas, which come with 7oz arrachera steak, jumbo shrimp, sautéed peppers, onions, jalapeños, rice, beans, guacamole, and tortillas. They only give you three corn tortillas, but you can ask for more corn or flour tortillas. The shrimp come with the tails, which I wish were taken off before this dish was served to me. For the price, the Mexican rice was a tease and I wished there was more of that. Despite these opportunities, the steak and shrimp fajitas are Must Order. People in our party ooh'd and aww'd when my hot skillet came out. It was delicious, the vegetables were tasty, and each taco I made with all of the components satisfied my belly. I would order that again in a heartbeat. We loved meeting our son's girlfriend's family and are thankful to her for making reservations at La Doña for all of us to finally meet. Although there were some opportunities, it truly was a blessing to break bread or in this case break steak and shrimp fajitas, with many of her family. Thank you to my son's girlfriend's family for generously paying for dinner, which we hope to reciprocate whenever we meet again.

The Holding Company is the place to be for good music, good food, and good views. It has 3 levels…read more Downstairs they have concerts, second level is food and DJ vibes with the bar, and 3rd level is views for daaaaayysss of the ocean which is really good for sunsets. I had the fried calamari and the shaken beef and they were both really good. My drink was California Love and that was also good. 10/10 recommend for beach side vibes without giving up taste.

I've only been here for shows It's truly a cool place to see…read morea show Come early and enjoy the restaurant on the second floor or the roof rooftop Amazing views from the rooftop You can grab a great cocktail and food on the second floor Once you go downstairs, it's hard to get a cocktail so stick to a simple drink or beer The room is really long with the stage on the far end I'm totally satisfied watching the show from the back of the room. On occasion I do creep to the front. You do have to go all the way to the front pass the stage to get to the bathrooms. I do wish they had a better locations for the bathrooms. That's probably the major flaw here. I'll be back

Along with that when we went, we were celebrating my mom's birthday and the service felt extra attentive and kind! Overall, this place is amazing, it has a great ambiance for going out with friends or family to enjoy some great food!

Beautifully decor and great management of busy traffic that visited during my dining experience…read more Management was attentative, checking on patrons as they waited to be seated. One seated, we were approach to get beverages ordered, and informed that our assigned server would take over to get our food orders. The menu consisted of authentic Italian appetizers and meals. The ability to learn about different types of noodles, and select for our meals, added to the experience. In addition to noodle selections, we were also able to select the sauces that would accompany the dish. They all sounded unique and delicious. The Impepata di COZZE was our appetizer selection and had fresh mussels, white wine and garlic amongst other fresh ingredients. Serving size was more than enough for our party of 2, and was not able to finish in anticipation of our meals. For my meal, I ordered the Malfalde pasta with Funghi sauce. Sauce consisted of creamy fresh Cremini, shiitake & Porcini mushrooms, parmigiano, crispy Parmigiano, crumble, parsley. Added shrimp to complete the meal. Mafalde pasta was long and had a ribbon appearance similar to lasagna noodles. The ingredients spoke for themselves. Freshness throughout each and every bite! Will definitely return the next time. I'm in the San Diego area. The bar for Italian cuisine has been raised substantially!!!
