Met my husband here for my birthday lunch, and it was a great experience. The young man at the counter was very hospitable. I did not get his name, but based on his recommendation (he said it was one of his favorites), I ordered the Baja chicken sandwich and was not disappointed. The beautiful young lady who served my beer, who also shares an August birthday, was jovial and absolutely delightful. She had a rhythm about her that was just really pleasant and cool. She seemed really happy to be there. And the ultimate in customer service came from Cynne...I know that I just spelled her name wrong. But she was above lovely. She had the best attitude ever; she was attentive, customer-service-friendly, and followed up to see if we needed anything else as we chose to sit outside. She was just lovely. I was in town for a bachelorette party this weekend and we had Board & Brew catered for lunch one of the days! The presentation was super cute, the sandwiches came in big boxes that had their logo on it with bright colors and a surf board. When you open the box, the logo is even on the inside and is so much more aesthetically pleasing than other catering cases I've seen before! There were several different sandwich options but I went with the Chicken Club which had chicken breast, bacon, cheese, and toppings. I'm usually not much of a sandwich person but this one was really good! I liked the bread it was served on and it was a good size as well. We also got some salads which were nice to have as a side. Not too busy and didn't wait long for our food! Got the Turkado in a wrap. This thing was massive, but I killed it anyways. Turkey, avocado, cheese, lettuce, tomato, Jack cheese, onions, and mayo. Normally comes on sourdough, but the wrap is equally as tasty! This is really becoming my go to San Diego classic! My friends from Australia loved this place! They "smashed" it. Haha! This is THE gluten-free spot at Petco Park. So they do a gluten-free wrap in place of the bread, but other than that it's a normal Board & Brew sandwich. Two things about this: 1. It turns the sandwich into either a hot or cool burrito, which is actually awesome. 2. You are not sacrificing sandwich size, which almost always happens even though you have to pay more for the lack of gluten. You can get a fairly large sandwich here for $12, plus $2 for the gluten-free wrap. This is a damn steal at Petco Park, where a hot dog with any sort of girth is going to set you back $11. Six options in total, with a seventh (grilled cheese) for the bread crowd. Could they turn the grilled cheese into a gluten-free quesadilla? Be the hero and find out! We've visited Board & Brew at Petco Park twice now, and both times there wasn't much of a line and plenty of seating with multiple TVs showing a broadcast of the game so you don't miss a thing. The food comes out fairly quick, and they have bottles of their orange secret sauce already out so it's super easy to drown your sandwichirrito in it. Oh, did I mention it also has a full bar off to the side? Yeah, you're going to want to check this place out sometime while you're at the game. read more
