It was totally fun and doable for my friends who are not generally crafting people! The studio has great decorations and ambiance, Davina gave us glasses, glow in the dark hair clip, and a hat to take home with us. The final painting is so pretty and glows in the dark. Kids and adults of all ages can have a blast playing gel tag on six person teams. Brandon and DJ run the party and they make it fun and safe and so a wonderful job of making everyone have fun. The referee the game and explain the rules very clearly. The gel bullets don't hurt at all so no worries about that. They provide shade and bleachers and tables for your party and guests and there was a nice breeze the entire time so I never felt overheated despite the 85 degrees. I booked Stephanie to do a paint party to celebrate a good friend's 60th birthday. Unfortunately on the day of the event there was a thunderstorm for about an hour during the day, approximately 2-3 hours prior to event time. Was there thunder and lightning, yes. Was there rain for a little bit of time, yes. Was there hail for a little bit, yes. Did all this stop prior to the event, YES. One of the gals who was coming to the event stated that the roads were safe to drive on, she was coming from close to the area that Stephanie was coming from. All this weather report is to lead to the fact that Stephanie cancelled the event due to fact that she didn't feel safe to drive to my place to conduct the painting party. Her decision to cancel was most definitely her prerogative. Where the negative review comes into play is that even though SHE made the decision to cancel, she would only refund 50% of the deposit I paid. I acknowledge that her booking policy is deposits are non-refundable. She stated that refunding 50% was more than she needed to do due to the circumstances. However, for most businesses deposits are in place for if the customer chooses to cancel. But apparently Stephanie's policy covers even if she chooses to cancel so the consumer is screwed out of money. How is that fair? This was to celebrate a friend's special birthday so rescheduling was not an option, can one reschedule turning 60? That would be nice, but not possible. Stephanie even went so far to toss an insult out that I cared more about a birthday party than I did her safety, insert eye roll emoji here. Drama much. All in all, like I started in the beginning pray for perfect weather otherwise she'll make the decision to cancel and keep your $$.

From the start, the paint party was purrrfectly prepared with the photos of our precious pooches set at easels with paints. The instructions were always easy to follow and if you weren't the most artistically blessed, Stephanie was right there to help you!! My friend and I honestly had the most amazing time, not only between the two of us, but with the other fellow pet lovers as well. Not to mention, our amazing instructor, Stephanie, & her lovely assistant/ daughter, had the most admirable mother daughter dynamic. The entire time, our group was joking around, enjoying food & drinks, and best of all, sharing adorable facts about our beloved fur babies.
