A friend and I came to Board in Birmingham a few weeks ago for the first time. We had such a fun time from start to finish! The young lady working as well as the general manager were so nice to us and extremely welcoming. The space has the most relaxed vibe and you can even order a glass of wine to go along with your charcuterie snack! I believe beer is available as well. Board in Birmingham is such a great concept!!! Just when I thought I was tired of charcuterie boards, this place came along and changed my mind!ll Renewed my spirit... haha I will definitely return & I highly recommend for a fun GNO , date night or even solo dolo. You are definitely in for a treat whenever you plan your visit here!

Board in Birmingham is such a cute charcuterie business and it happens to be the first charcuterie restaurant in Alabama. They are located in the same strip as Chuck's, Gray Bar and Yum Yai on 280 so it is super easy to find. My friend and I each enjoyed a glass of wine with a complimentary charcuterie cup from an offer I stumbled upon. We talked to staff (Emma...Ella... I'm so sorry l should have made a note) and the manager, Mallory. Board doesn't stop at charcuterie. They offer lunch items, Saturday brunch, have a wine bar in the back and so many items are available for purchase from food to wine to stickers and more. I'll be back very soon to try other items and enjoy the environment offered at Board in Birmingham.

What a fabulous evening!! This place is a great little surprise. Very cute decor, all the way to the bathroom with the hilarious signs and a nice little gift section (not just for boards) We went for a GNO and took the charcuterie class. With a delicious board waiting for us and a complimentary cocktail we learned how to cut fruit, what cheese and meats pair and adding all the fun toppings and fillers. Then we prepared our own boards to take home. It was a fun evening. The owner has a plethora of knowledge. Highly recommend!!

I've been to board in Birmingham several times now and each time the experience is better! Last night was half off glasses of wine. I also had the smoked Gouda pimento cheese (the owners recipe!) and fig/goat cheese flatbread. Both were phenomenal! Also, cannot say enough about the service. Lily and Brooke worked their butts off and maintained a smile and wonderful attitude the entire time. I will 1000% be back!

This place makes me want to go to Italy even more. And its "dark" presence makes me happy, the music is calming--giving a ballroom vibe, and the table I sat at gave a very fascinating view of the entire place. Our server (Paul) was one of the nicest people I've met--or so I think by the amount of time I talked to him. I absolutely recommend this place for any dates, important birthdays, and events!!

Super romantic atmosphere! Wear a little glitz so you shine for your man in the dim romantic light! Heavy curtains, cozy booths, expensive artwork with special indirect lighting, and exquisite 5 star service and food combine to make a memorable evening. When your salad fork comes properly chilled and you are served immediately with complimentary bruschetta, one realizes Amore is no regular restaurant! I had slightly spicy Italian sausage and mushroom pesto pasta and hubby had Shrimp Alfredo. Both were excellent. They included generous serving of green salad which had nice additions to the lettuce with house made vinegarette. The bread was fabulous also, offered with olive oil and spices. The location of Amore is a lovely two story strip center, so it is a bit of a hidden jewel. We had barely saved room for a special dessert next door! We drove the short distance to Cedar Lane leading to the precious little Italian village ( Villagio Colafrancesco) hidden in the woods to the right of the shopping center with Amore. Park behind the strip center. Check hours as usually only open on Thurs, Fri and Saturday but this is the way to end a most romantic evening! Tiny lights and a gorgeous restored farmhouse complete the village with its Italian coffee shop and the best gelato outside of Italy. They even have some nondairy sorbet. Tell your lady to bring a large shawl in case it's chilly inside ( no low cut or super short dresses allowed as this is run by a Catholic group that has a large farm not far away. That provides organic milk and cheese and meat which they also sell. Don't miss their Sistine Chapel style painted rest room too!

We planned an afternoon here with the girls to celebrate a birthday. We sat outside. Although it was hot, the area is shaded and they had a couple of fans out. They also have a small, indoor air conditioned space with a small art gallery if you don't want to do the heat. The string lights added to the ambiance. Several of us had the wine flight (you choose 3). We also ordered a charcuterie board, olives, cornichons (pickles) and pimento cheese. Everything tasted amazing!!! You have to walk up to the bar to order. The servers were very helpful with making the wine selections. They also came to the table to clear glasses and to assist with any questions. Oh, let me not forget the honey! It was spectacular drizzled on the crackers and cheeses. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

We thoroughly toured the list of French wines, imbibed on a couple of their yummy cocktails (my friend loves the "Last Word"). Service was, of course, fantastic. The location is one of the most quaint and vibey in town (Morris Ave) and the food is certainly up to snuff. We split the famous potato appetizer and I had the half chicken for entree. Both outstanding.

We were able to make a reservation for inside dining which I liked because it was a hot June Alabama day, but I would have preferred outside because it was so loud inside, there was no sound suppression, and the tables were very close together. The outside patio was nice and covered. Next time I will request to sit outside. We started with the sourdough bread which I highly recommend! There was enough pieces to have one while you waited for your dinner, and to save one to eat with your dinner. My husband ordered the deviled eggs and really enjoyed them. For our entree, we shared the roasted chicken. It was a half chicken with lemon, garlic, shallots and potato gratin. It was plenty for both of us. We even had leftovers. This is probably because of the appetizers and we had stopped for drinks at Cayo Coco before dinner. We usually skip dessert, but my husband really wanted to try the chocolate custard, bittersweet chocolate custard with chantilly cream. The presentation was beautiful. I had a couple of bites and it also tasted amazing. Our waiter recommended a dessert wine that paired with the custard. He let us try a couple of sips, and the sweet fruitiness really made a difference. The service was amazing. We will definitely be back.
