My dog was at Boarding and Beyond Dog Daycare on July 30, 2022 from 12pm - 7:30pm and was injured with no report from the daycare facility. It was a deep small open wound to his left front paw which was obvious and bleeding and he had to be taken to emergency veterinary services for care which took over six hours overnight. Boarding and Beyond did not report this injury to me and was negligent in its care of calling me after they noticed another dog was playing rough with him during the day. They called me the next day only to accuse my dog as the aggressor with no concern for his safety, well-being or accountability of their negligence. read more

Very nice staff that cares for the dogs but was a bit upset when I found out the dogs are crated the majority of the day when there is inclement weather. Unfortunately, inclement weather occurs quite often per B&B policy (rain, snow, cold weather, hot weather). Once again nice staff, but expect your dog to be crated more often than not. read more

This place is amazing. I am a little reluctant to write a public review as I selfishly don't want too many people going here. I have been bringing my golden retriever puppy/adolescent here for about 4 months, roughly twice a week or so for daycare. I had previously been bringing her to a private daycare at a person's home via Rover but needed to quickly find a new setup when the person's availability changed. I was a little reluctant to bring my pup to a commercial facility, thinking she wouldn't get the same level of care and attention. And while that may be true, the amount of playtime she gets with other dogs more than makes up for it. For the first few days, I was watching the live webcams throughout the day wondering if she was being let out enough if she was being supervised etc. I never saw anything on the streams to give me cause for concern. My dog is always happy to visit, jumping out of the car as soon as I park. And she is always alert and excited when I pick her up. The staff is super friendly and always calm no matter how chaotic it can get when three or more people are all waiting to get their dogs, find leashes, give treats etc. They have recently raised their daycare and boarding prices, but that was not unexpected given the current inflation. The prices are still very reasonable, especially if you are leaving your dog for a longer part of the day. Unlike many other boarding businesses, they don't charge for early dropoffs or late pickups. While I normally don't leave my pup there for more than 8 hours, it is great to know that if I have an especially busy day I could drop her off at 6:00 am and pick her up at 6:00 pm or later. Those hours and the fact that they offer daycare 7 days a week make it dead simple to schedule things around. In addition to their daycare, I also use Boarding and Beyond as my primary business for grooming. Their grooming prices are a little on the pricey side when purchased standalone (as they include a 1/2 day of daycare automatically), but they are a great value and great service when purchased as part of daycare. I've been to several retail groomers such as Petco and Petsmart, and while they do a decent job for a basic bath, brush, and nail trim, I have had poor experiences at both locations when purchasing upgrades like a de-shedding treatment. B&B is the first place where I actually believe the groomer is doing all of the things promised for their de-shedding upgrade. I purchased the upgrade package in April while my pup was blowing out her winter coat and was getting hair everywhere. She came back to me visibly smaller and for the first time in living memory, I was able to run a brush over her back and not have it immediately filled with hair. Unfortunately, that specific groomer (Brian) is no longer working at B&B, but I've had similarly good experiences with the other groomers since. read more

We had a trip planned and last minute our Rover person cancelled, she said our pup was acting out, super nervous, and nipping at her. I left my 14 week old boxer puppy with B&B for the first time yesterday because I saw good reviews. Honestly, I am extremely disturbed that I sent my puppy with 3 cups of food in a container marked with her name AND the amount to give her per serving. She was returned to me with 2 cups of food left after staying with the facility for almost 12 hours. If I hadn't sent her with food myself, I would have never known this even happened. Truly lucky they are running a special for the first 4 visits free because I would be even more angry to have paid for such a bad job. If they can ignore a 14 week old puppy, do you think they're paying that good of attention to any other dog? There are too many amazing dog daycares in Denver to worry if a place will even feed your dog while you are away. They called me back today after I complained once I saw her almost-full container when I got home and claimed they finally put a system in place to remember to feed the dogs. How long were they not feeding them before?!?! NOW they have a system to ensure that happens? Go elsewhere. Dogs can't talk and that's this company's only saving grace. read more

We used to have our dog boarded here before the new ownership with little problem; however lately we have had multiple issues with getting our dog to be able to be groomed while he's been dropped off; Multiple miscommunications from the front to the grooming station, and this last time we received a 'make good' for a full grooming, but when we picked him up they just bathed him (which we could have done ourselves). Also our dog is now limping from obviously being hurt by another dog while he was there for the grooming, which just makes us realize even more that this place is not the place for us. We recently had our dog groomed there as well; Maudie did a wonderful job - best cut our dog has received to date. I like this place, but more importantly, my dog loves it! My dog gets pretty nervous and scared with new places and situations. I was dreading having to board her and be away from her for the first time. The staff here made both me and my dog feel comfortable. I was given a tour and they have a large play area outside where they take the dogs 3 times a day to play and get out all their energy. I took my dog here for just a day to begin with before leaving her for two nights. When I picked her up after day one, she was no longer scared. She clearly had a great time. When I took her back for the two overnights I could tell she didn't mind going. She knew she was going to have fun during her stay. It gives me peace of mind to know there is a place where I can take my dog and know that she will be well cared for and really enjoy herself. I was really excited about the prospect of this place. We boarded for 10 days. While we were gone no one returned my emails. When I dropped my dogs off I was assured that I could receive updates but that was impossible since no one would return email and we were on a cruise with no access to phone. One of my dogs is a puppy mill survivor and very shy. I explained this to staff in initial contact setting up appointment, again when I dropped her off, and also printed a note about it and taped it to the food container. When I came to pick them up the staff had no clue why she was shy which made me believe that no one read my note which would have been next to impossible because if they were feeding my dogs the food we brought they would have seen the note. I will not return due to the poor communication and feeling that my dogs were not really paid attention to. The dogs were Ziggy and India. They are called Boarding and Beyond, now. I took my Akita there when I had her, and now I take my super skittish 8 month old puppy. The staff has an amazing memory and love for the animals they care for. They even let her play with the small dogs initially, even though she's just over the weight limit, because the big ones scared her. Every time I pick Aria up, they update me on her socialization progress and offer advice to help her on my own. They don't hesitate to work with me on my long work days (and have you seen their hours!? They are amazing!). You really get a quality bang for a competitive buck here. I've been 100% satisfied with my experiences here. I have and will continue to recommend Boarding and Beyond to my fellow dog lovers. read more

I've used B and B for Dog for several years but it's the only place I've taken my dogs to for day care or boarding. My dogs have been from shelters so they are a little in the special needs area and the staff at B & B is very patient and understanding. I used to have 2 lab mixes ( I lost them in my divorce) but I used to bring them there 4-5 days a week for day care. They would come home pooped and when we got there they would practically rip my arms off dragging me through the door. They would jump all over the staff members wagging their tails and just go nuts. I have a rat terrier now and she was very shy and nervous but she stayed there for boarding and had a good time. I can tell the staff really loves dogs and treat them well. Technically, I must admit that I have not boarded my own dogs at B&B for DOG. However, when one of my pet sitting clients moved to Hawaii, she had to board her dogs long-term before they could join her. (Both dogs were young and had only had one rabies vaccination, therefore failing the rabies titer. They missed the window for direct shipment to Hawaii, thus the boarding). While the dogs were still in Colorado I visited every week to check on them and take them out of the day care for a break from the hustle-and-bustle. So, I consider my experience with B&B direct enough to warrant a review. The staff at B&B seemed well on top of Angus and Callie. Angus was taking medication due to an acid reflux-like problem where he would vomit his food. Every time I checked to make sure he has his medicine, they confirmed that he had and that he had been doing great. They were also told to keep an eye on Angus since he had recently had surgery to correct a hyper-extended leg. Though I could never physically SEE what was going on behind the scenes, I was assured that the dogs were getting time away from the others, and I assume that these reports were true since Callie and Angus never seemed worn out and exhausted, and Angus had no issues with his leg. The staff was always friendly and seemed to know the dogs well. They weren't shaken when I had to bring the dogs back after their flight was canceled due to temperature issues. I wish they'd been a little more flexible about me picking up the dogs uber-early for their morning flight, but I understand the inconvenience it would have caused them. (Though, since my clients dropped well over 1k I still wish they would have extended the offer to help, and prevent me from having to keep the dogs overnight at my home, when I have 3 other dogs, one who is special needs). That DEFINITELY would have pushed them up to a 5 star rating in my book. They're pretty conveniently located, only a few minutes from I-225 and a Petsmart. The parking lot can be a little difficult to get into and out of depending on which direction you're coming and how heavy the traffic is. Overall, they seem like a good place to board (though Norah's experience is definitely worrisome). The dog rescue I work uses a different day care, but the owners are familiar with B&B and actually recommended that my client chose B&B due to their ability to keep a close eye on the dogs (smaller venue = less dogs compare to Fetcher's). I'm pretty confident in a day care that Fetcher's would recommend, so B&B is definitely one to look into if you need day care or overnight boarding. read more

Just picked up our dogs and both were soaking wet and skittish. When we asked the attendant, her said they must have gotten it when they sprayed down the kennel. And we could hear someone in the back, yelling and slamming things around. Will never take them back there and suggest you don't either. read more

I boarded 3 dogs there over July 4th. I prepare their kibble in individually labeled bags with feeding instructions to add canned that I provide. There were 4 bags for each dog for each of the meals they would eat there and 4 cans, one for each meal. After picking them up and going through the food satchel I found 6 unopened bags of kibble and one can of wet. There should have been no food left. I love the outdoor space they have but am not happy with the lack of attention to the dogs feeding. I assume they were given some sort of kennel food because they had horrible runny stools. I don't know what they did with the prepared bags of food I sent that they could not find it to feed them. Probably wont be going back. read more

After 24 hours of contemplation- I decided it was completely necessary to write this review. I called Boarding & Beyond last week to get information about overnight dog boarding for my two pups. They were super helpful over the phone as I explained my situation ( one of my dogs is extraordinary aggressive with other dogs and the other is a senior with some special needs) and told me I could come in to take a tour. That same day I came in for the tour, and brought one pup with me to meet the staff. The place was clean, the tour was quick but satisfied me, and the male staff member I talked to seemed very knowledgable. These are the only positive things I have to say about this place after my experience boarding my dogs this past Saturday night. I dropped my dogs off Saturday morning as soon as the facility opened. They were to stay one night while my husband and I backpacked. I stayed for a half hour and filled out paperwork and explained to the front desk staff person that one of my dogs was very very dog aggressive and the other needed medication for anxiety if he was getting stressed and worked up. I said that the two dogs are inseparable and needed to stay together, especially during meals because separated, they won't eat. I left food labeled clearly, and medication for the senior dog labeled with his name, and dosage information in its own bag. Upon picking them up- I was slightly put off by that days front desk staff ( found out later she was a manager). I asked how they did, if they played in the yard with a staff member, and if they had eaten or not. She told me they had eaten fine but said she didn't know anything else because she wasn't there the previous day. They brought my dogs out to me, and I left. When I got in the car- one of my dogs started heaving and panting. I thought maybe he was just tired and stressed from the boarding situation which I know is common. When we got home, however, things quickly went down hill. My playful, happy, energetic dog was panting and lethargic. He refused to get up which is NOT like him at all. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that all of his back nails were cut to the quick and caked with dried blood. My senior dogs eyes were blood shot red and he was drooling all over himself. I called Boarding & Beyond within the hour to ask if they had cut my dogs nails and if they had ever administered the anxiety medication to my senior dog who was clearly panting all day and very stressed. The same staff member who I picked them up from answered. She told me that his nails had not been cut and that the dogs had been outside for the hour and a half previous to picking them up (it was 90 degrees) so maybe he had worn them down pacing on the concrete outside. She didn't have any other information and didn't know if anyone had given my senior dog meds. She said she was busy but that she would get in touch with staff and call me back with more information. I immediately checked my senior dogs feet and sure enough- bubbling blisters from being left outside. An hour later I got a call from an employee from her personal cell phone. I didn't answer at first because I didn't recognize the number and she left a voicemail. She stated she was with my dogs both days and could give me more information. The voicemail also stated that my aggressive dog didn't need the medication I left because he did just fine. I didn't leave medication for him- I left it for my senior dog. Upon calling her back, the conversation went downhill. She couldn't seem to get which dog was which straight ( they are not even the same breed or size). She told me that a staff member accidentally let another dog in with my aggressive dog and he did just fine with that dog ( ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????). She also told me the dogs were separated to eat ( at this point I was laughing) and that they wouldn't eat at all ( really?????). She told me they were not left outside for an hour and a half and she wasn't sure why the manager told me that. Finally, she stated that the dogs did just fine in the kennel and were not even barking. I told her she probably had me mixed up with someone else, and I asked to speak to the owner of the facility. She told me I could not speak to the owner. The conversation concluded with her telling me she hoped I would bring my dogs back- which will never happen in a million years. My dogs are ok, and I feel very lucky about that. Had it been a longer trip, I'm not sure they would have been ok. Will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Before his passing, I took my basset hound there for several years. They were always very nice and friendly and the facility was always top notch. He always came back exhausted and happy. In his later years, they took special care of him and I'll be forever grateful. Great place. read more

He knows when we are getting close, and he "helps drive" the last half mile. I credit B & B for helping to socialize him to other dogs and other people when he was younger. read more

Would not even try it out. We made the mistake of taking our dogs to Boarding and Beyond for daycare. Our last day there, when we picked up our dogs, one(PupA) had a swollen lip which I thought was a bug bite. When I asked if she was bit by a bug the employee helping me, stated he worked boarding and not daycare but would ask someone else. Him and another employee came over and said, "no they didn't fight" and was pointing at PupB. I corrected him saying, "no what happened to PupA's lip, was she bit by a bug?" He kept insisting they didn't fight and she may have bit herself playing in the water. I mentioned I would take her to the vet to get the bug bite checked out, they continued to insist that she didn't fight and to ice her lip before going to the vet. Once I got home I closer examined her lip and noticed it was a dog bit on her lip, and there must have been a fight. It became more swollen and infected and I took her to the vet. I would have appreciated if they admitted to what had happened while she was under their care! Their employees refraining from tell me what happened would have helped us seek proper care for her right away. I have used daycares before and they would call us if any sort of incident happened involving our dogs. Some other warnings of avoiding this place is the smell, it smells like a dog shelter. The first day I was watching them on the camera and noticed that 3 hours had gone by from when they played and got put inside. I also noticed in that time they had a group of dogs out but mine where not in the group, they were inside from 1-4pm and are not there for boarding but for daycare. The next time I took them, I mentioned its okay if you leave them outside to play. The gentlemen let me know that they would only come in for an hour for the breakfast and dinner breaks. I had my mother checking in on them through the camera and it was the same thing, more then just an hour long break. read more

I tried B & B for the first time yesterday because I couldn't get an appointment with my regular groomer. The groomer did a great job! I have two mini poodles so they needed the typical poodle cut. Their poodle top was cut perfect and not all jagged like it usually is. Their fur on their pom poms and their whole body was so much softer than usual. She brushed out their ears better which is probably why their ears were softer. Also, my male poodle usually won't let anyone shave his feet but the groomer did fine with him. He tried to nip her a couple of times but she was patient and got it finished. I've used a lot of groomers for these dogs over the last decade and can tell if it's good or bad. I definitely recommend this groomer. read more

I took my two dogs here while I was away for my honeymoon. I have one dog who is afraid of her own shadow and the other is not a fan of people outside of his family. I wasn't worried about my female, I knew she'd adapt and settle in, but my male had me a bit more nervous. When we took them in we spent quite a bit of time with the handlers discussing possible triggers and strategies for him. When we brought them in, the handlers took them and both dogs just trotted along like it was normal. As expected our female did fine and was playing with other dogs that same afternoon. Our male had one outburst that they handled without incident. After that, he settled in and began playing with the handlers. I cannot rave enough about the handlers and the care they provided for my "kids". I would absolutely use them again! read more

This place is a joke. I dropped my dogs off and upon reading some horrible reviews after doing so I requested a tour. I brought up a very specific review where a dog was attacked by a mastiff and had to be taken to VCA. When I brought this review up with their employee, Tanner, became extremely defensive and corrected me every time I said attacked because he didn't like the word. He then explained to me that it's just a part of pack mentality. Thanks. I've owned plenty of dogs. I'm not an idiot. Attacked seems pretty appropriate considering how severe the dog's condition was after it left your care. When I asked what they do to prevent this he made it seem like they hardly do anything and that was the best thing to do. Then I asked, so you literally don't do anything not even verbal commands to correct the behavior(like every other boarding place)? Then he was quick to say they did. All in all I was concerned and after meeting that kid, my dogs will never be back. He even said his own dog has ended up at VCA for stitches after a day at play camp. Really selling it, buddy. Then there was the unauthorized charge for the FREE Meet and Greet Day. $51 charged to my card without my permission OR signature. When I called this morning about it, Tanner said he realized the charge last night but get this... NO ONE TOLD ME. I called them at least three times last night trying to get them to refund the deposit for boarding cause there's no way in hell I'd leave my dogs here. Ever. I'm told by Tanner this morning that his manager would call me and would be in by 10AM at the latest. I wait. I then call them at 11 because clearly none of their employees know how to return a phone call. Finally get the manager. The charges have been refunded. Great! It only took four or five phone calls. I call my bank after speaking to him, just to be sure. They're still trying to process the unauthorized charge, no pending refunds. What your company did is ILLEGAL. Do you realize that? I can't believe I left my dogs with you for a day. Side note, if you ever consider holiday boarding with this place your dog will only be let out for an hour and two short bathroom breaks. Thanks for the heads up, Tanner. So you're paying a lot for your dog to basically stay in a kennel for 23 hours a day. Better off finding some random person on rover then leaving any animal in this places care. My dogs are well cared for at Camp Bow Wow where they have trainers on staff and correct bad behavior. The dogs that come in must also go through a much more intense interview process than at this place. Highly recommend trying Camp Bow Wow and advise avoiding this place at all costs. Plus, Camp Bow Wow kennels are much larger and sparkling clean. This place wasn't. read more
