This used to be my go-to place for pizza. Unfortunately the new owners have changed the quality of the food. The pizza is super greasy and has zero flavor. Their grandma pies used to be so flavorful and delicious. Now it's terrible. I expect better for a pie that's 30+ in cost. Sad because it was so convenient being in the neighborhood. I've been ordering from here forever apparently there's a new owner and he's horrible. Ordered an arugula salad with shrimp. The shrimp came covered in old grease hamburger meat and smelled like dog food. I called and they sent back new shrimp with no salad. Very hearty sized everything. It's unassumingly fast casual and just right for anyone looking for something filling. I got the side of sautéed spinach but when it arrived it was really more like an entree there was so much. Very tasty but it was also swimming in a pool of butter and oil that turned it more into a spinach soup. However, recently you have to dealing with them from the Inception. I wanted a small order. And this is not for nothing. Complain don't aren't shoes for squirrel. I never opened the bottle. Obviously it was brown Tropicana. It was not under the right temperature. I called immediately explain to them about. It's $202.75. Aren't you? That was spoiled the alleged owner stated to me next time. I put an order in just mention the orange juice. And he will replace it with something for 275. And I did that tonight. Everything was going smoothly until the clerk. Book went to the owner and said to him. Can you verify this situation? He said he spoke to one of the principals he came back. Question in me like I was on Lauren. Order about a $2.75 dollar Orange juice. Big list to say I put a new water. I always do and low in the hole. The nasty's individual stated that he was the older and literally was questioning me. Like I was on the lawn door I told him to keep the 275 juice. Have a nice day, cancel my order. Been coming to Rockaway Beach For A While, and A slice of pizza at this place was always necessary.... Until today, that I decided to try the pasta. Being European, Its hard for me to find good Italian pasta done the way they are supposed too. But just upon arrival, my linguine frutto di mare, smelled and looked amazing. My plate was full of mussels & clams, which most places lack at, the pasta was al-dente and the sauce had just the right flavor from all the seafood. The chef was Italian, and he came to the table to make sure everything was okay and to advice that Parmesan wasn't to be added, which was very nice of him. Genuinely think, this is the best pizza & pasta place in Rockaway. Service is amazing and everyone is friendly. Will forever be coming back for that pasta! read more

I've been ordering the linguine de mar from here for months- with fra Diavlo sauce. Every time Over the last 4/5 months, I've been perplexed because the chef is using jalapeños to season the sauce instead of crushed red pepper flakes. This time, I specified on my order online NOT to use those peppers but rather, red chili flakes to season the sauce. Lo and behold, the food came with the peppers and the seeds from the jalapeño all cooked into the food. I called, and the woman that answered the phone tried to tell me there's no jalapeño peppers in the store and was insistent that I'm wrong (isn't the customer always right?) with a really pissy attitude! I was on the phone literally LOOKING AT THE PEPPERS in my food and on my fork, and it seems someone tried to pull them out- but they missed a couple- and the seeds are everywhere. As someone that spends $50 + each time I order from here, that was a dissatisfying and disappointing experience. Based on customer service alone, I'm done being a patron. What more is there to say besides it's damn good pizza? They always have a huge variety of pies when you go in. The service is friendly, albeit rushed. Understandably rushed given that there's always a line out the door for more pizza. My wife and mother-in-law enjoy the arugula salad with cranberries and blue cheese in addition to the ridiculously great pizza. I'm beyond late with this review. I've been coming here ever since they opened in the Rockaways and I have to say, being a Brooklynite transported to the peninsula.. the pizza brought back memories of a good Brooklyn slice. When I first moved to the Rockaways I thought I'd have to keep traveling to Brooklyn for a taste of home since all I kept tasting in the form of pizza was doughy, gooey yuckyness but thanks to the arrival of Boardwalk Pizza, I've been spared several trips across the bridge. The staff is always polite and ready to serve and the restaurant is always clean plus the pizza always looks fresh. My only gripe is I've noticed a few times meat slices touching meatless slices. For someone who doesn't eat meat that's an issue and forces me to look at the stand alone slices meaning the ones touching nothing else. Other than that, this has to be the best pizza along the peninsula. Make sure you check them out and be sure to try the grandma slice or cheesy breadsticks. read more

This place is fantastic! I live in Bayswater and the pizzerias closer to me are not great at all. I go to the Y and stopped by a while ago for a slice for my daughter. SO GOOD! Today I ordered delivery and my pizza came piping hot and absolutely delicious. The sauce is yummy, and there's that brown crisp crust with spots of burn that's just freaking delicious. I hate a bland crust. On top of that, the girl taking the phone order and the delivery man were both super friendly and engaging. I've ordered delivery from places closer to me and the pizza ALWAYS gets here cold. I'm so grateful that Boardwalk obviously takes pride in their pizzas. When I first went there theycould do no wrong in my eyes. The food was exactly what I ordered. I went there order the same thing I ordered the foirst time only they some shit all mixed up together which is not what I ordred. They tried to make it right by making my some fried chicken cutlets so while was waiting I ordered 2 orders of garlic knots and a soda I didnt get my garlic knots. The next time I figure I would oreder on line since they did not comprehend what I asked for the second time. The delivery guy took it to the wrong place and called me after the fact. Went back to get it and thought I was gonna take that after some one else had it first. I called the store they said they would make anoother 40 minutes later still no food I told them to give me my money back. Today I figure I give it one more try I asked for a pie half bacon and pepperoni I looking at the pizza I asked wheres the bacon he says you only ordered pepperoni and charged me full price for apepperoni pizz that is the last straw.
