Ok. So we're from out of town just passing through and we stopped here. They said it would be a 15 minuets and we waited almost 35 minuets. We sat down and our waitress was SASSY. While I was ordering she completely cut me off. She never brought us rolls. We ordered hot chocolate and it came half filled and she never offered a refill. She never cleared any of the plates out of the way and so they were all cluttered on the table. She gave us our food but wouldn't put it on the table. She would hold it out in front of our faces. This is the only bad experience I have ever had at a Bob Evans. I ordered steak and eggs (it was 9pm btw) medium. The steak I got was red raw in the center and they quickly tried again. Next steak was just as bad, so I finished the eggs and toast. The manager cooked another steak himself; alas it too was red raw in the center. I give them an A for effort; and they did not charge us for the steak but the quality was just not there. This restaurant uses too much margarine on their toast and potatoes too. This has been the cleanest and nicest Bob Evan's we've been to, but the food was mediocre at best. This place was a great choice for breakfast today. My hubby is a truck driver, and we didn't feel like eating in the restaurant at the TA because of bad experiences at truck stop restaurants in the past. It was fairly busy, but today is mother's Day, so it's to be expected. Upon walking in, I felt like I walked into a Cracker Barrel. There's a cute little gift shop right before you walk in the restaurant. We were seated fairly quickly for how busy it was and got our coffees in a timely manner. It took a few minutes for the waitress to take our orders, but she was friendly and quick to make sure we got our food. You can always tell how well a restaurant is managed by going in during their busiest of times. The only complaint I have is with the lack cheese in their omelettes. Other than that, everything had great flavor and was nice and hot. read more

They gave us bad service. Plus the waitress' were talking about us behind our back. After that they continued to glare at our table. They were extremely rude and forgot my onions on my burger when I asked for them. They continued to give us drinks even though we didn't need them. Don't come here. It's terrible! read more

I have been to this restaurant several times over the past 10 years. My husband and I stopped there today for breakfast. It was ok. The food that came out didn't match what was advertised on the menu. i.e. my dish was missing green onions. My husband's omelet had really big cuts of vegetables. The waitress was ok. No butter for the biscuits. No ketchup. She gave us our bill very early on. Didn't see her after that for any drink refills. Probably won't be back any time soon. read more

Breezewood is an experience in and of itself, but if you're reading this I assume you already know what I'm talking about. Signs Signs Everywhere-A-Signs!!! If you've been to one Bob Evans you've probably been to all of them, they seem to be pretty good at homogenizing their store experience. In this one, as in others, you walk into a nightmare of a Aunt's bedroom. All of these dolls and trinkets and other assorted rural-esque junk. It's not up my alley, but it doesn't bother me either. The food is sorta southern-American... but really just basically an all-American diner style. It seems that the real theme is just rural styled. I enjoy their food quite a bit. Pies, chicken fried steak, sweet teas... these are things that I like!!! read more

We were heading towards Bedford several weeks ago and stopped off at Bob's for lunch. This BE has a gift shop, one of only 7 in the US to have this distinction, according to the cashier. Nice country decor all around, but Cracker Barrel has more merchandise selection. OK, on to the food. My wife had a nice salad while I had a new item called Pot roast stroganoff. It wasn't too bad and was enough to satisfy me for lunch. read more

This was my first time ever dinning at Bob Evans. We were on a road trip and stopped here for breakfast. I was surprised to see that the layout was similar to Cracker Barrel. I ordered the strawberry crepes and I loved them. I would order this again next time I come to Bob Evans, or I will try one of their lunch menu items. The prices are great. Good solid stop for breakfast. Dining room is clean and well lit. Food and service are on par for this chain. And they have free wi-fi!

Stopped in this afternoon for a early diner. Definitely not busy at this time, but we were kept waiting by the hostess who was too busy talking outside with another employee. A waitress came to our rescue and got us to our seats. Our waitress Betty was very pleasant and professional. The restaurant is very clean and orderly. Food arrived quickly and exactly as ordered. I was pleasantly pleased with our visit and would definitely return again! Hopefully they will find a better hostess before then. read more

Breezewood seems junky to me, with all of the SIGNS, gas stations, and some past bad eating experience. It was a surprise, then, that we enjoyed our meal at Bob Evans. The place seemed clean, the staff was friendly, and it had a nice gift shop attached. I liked our sweet potato fries appetizer. The fries had a BBQ seasoning and came with a spicy dipping sauce. My wife, who doesn't like BBQ potato chips, did not like them. My wife and I had omelets, which were larger than average and very good. Neither of us liked the home fries, large cubes with little taste; we'll substitute for them next time. Our kids predictably got Kraft mac & cheese with good tasting sides of broccoli and corn. If you're looking for a bright spot in Breezewood, this might be it. read more

My wife and I stopped here recently on a trip back from dropping our son off at college. We have been thru Breezewood many times and had concluded the Sheetz was becoming the only option- everything else seemed dirty and run down. We were pleasantly surprised- food was springily good- my wife's salmon was not overcooked and her broccoli was crisp and fresh. My salad was fine. Service was attentive and place was very well maintained- it's the place now for us in Breezewood. read more

I found the staff of this restaurant to be very accommodating and kind. The restaurant gift shop gave us something to do during our short wait even though we didn't buy anything. The wait was very short despite the holiday rush. Our order was taken immediatlyand the waitress even allowed me to make odd food substitutions to customize my meal. We were in and out quickly and back on our journey. The waitress even put the remainder of my coffee in a "to-go" cup so it wouldn't be wasted.The only down side is the location with the Breezewood traffic. Getting to and from the location was fun with all the traffic, but it was worth it. read more

IF YOU PASS THROUGH BREEZEWOOD AND DON'T STOP HERE...SHAME ON YOU! Not only do they provide you with a homey style feel in the restaurant, their staff is always so kind and accommodating! Our favorite rest stop restaurant!! You get all you can eat of their delicious biscuits as well! Not to mention they have such clean bathrooms, and the giftshop of lil trip gifts are so eye catching, and a nice touch! Play with the IQ test at the table while your food is being prepared, and it will pass the time! Not that it takes them long to get your order together! I am a bonafide FAN!! read more

Avoid. This place is utter garbage. They clearly just microwave large batches of sent-in food. The rolls they brought to our table took longer to heat up than three menu items. That's a bad sign. After the three seconds it took for the food to come, we quickly found out that it was salty as hell, sloppy as sin and worse than any knock-off brand's canned anything. I only ate here because I was driving through. I will never eat at Bob Evan's again. If this is what his family cooks down on the farm, they need to be taken back behind the shed and shot. read more

This Bob Evans had great service, the staff was friendly and the food was great. I had breakfast for dinner and the hash browns were the best I've ever had, perfect golden brown. It seemed like they shredded them right before grilling. I also had a sweet bread, cranberry I think and it was really good too. The price was great. I'll go back. Been stopping at this Bob Evans for 20 years every time we drive back home to Ohio. Food just so so average. Waitress took 20 minutes to take our food order on a non busy time. Come on...it's an area for travelers which means service should be lickety split. Drank first cup of coffee before creamer came out. Disappointed this visit. read more

This restaurant had poor service it took us 10 min to get seated when no one was in the restaurant and we didn't have a waiter for 15 min after calling a waiter over and ordering they didn't bring drinks for 10 more min after allll that after they brought the food they didn't bring silverware so as we waited another 5 min are food was cold but the food was good read more

We've stopped there for years while traveling, and the food has been adequate, until today. My "classic breakfast" wasn't fit to feed to a dog. Undercooked pancakes with sickeningly sweet sugar (non-maple) syrup and no butter, matched with pork sausages full of tendons and gristle with a few bone chips mixed in for crunch. Bob Evans claims to make their pork sausages from pork tenderloin. We'll, they must be ancient near-death hogs. This chain used to be the gold standard, but not anymore. The cashier asked me "...how was your meal?" as I paid my bill. I told her "Not good!" She simply looked away without any response. Maybe Bob Evans is good elsewhere, but avoid Breezewood, PA if you like wholesome food and courteous staff. read more

After a whirlwind book tour the hubby and I arrived in Breezewood tired and hungry. Wanting more of a sit down meal we opted for Bob Evans and was not disappointed. I ordered the turkey and stuffing, the hubby chose the meatloaf meal. Both meals were savory and filling and just what was needed after a week of fast food offerings. Not sure that management cares about customer service. My wife and I were traveling and we stop to get a quick dinner. We were seated at 6:30. Drink order was taken at 6:55. We order hot cakes and eggs (we thought this would be fast). At 7;30 we asked about our food. Waitress said they were very busy. The restaurant was half empty. At 7:50 she came with some of our food because it was ready, but the eggs would were not ready. As she is setting down the food, both of the containers of syrup ended up on my pants and ran down my leg into my shoe. The manager came over and offered napkins, I asked him for a wet rag, he offered me a wet rag that he was cleaning up the floor with. Manger told me that the meal was on the house. I was very upset since I had 3 more hours of driving and had wet, sticky pants. Very sorry we had stopped there. The waitress was very upset with our waiting, but the management of the restaurant should schedule more help for Friday evenings. I will not recommend this place to anyone, unless it is in the early morning, when it seems that the have more help in the kitchen. read more

Poor, poor, poor service. It seemed like only one guy and one girl were working the whole place. Everyone else ran around getting nothing accomplished. We literally stood waiting to be seated for ten minutes. Then the girl working the store register seated us after she attended to everyone she had at the register. There was no-one else waiting and they weren't busy. I've been to Bob Evans across the country and they usually ask what bread, rolls and bisquits you'd like. Our waitress didn't ask until we had sat for 20 minutes waiting for our meal. Our food was good, but we had to ask twice for my dad's Cole slaw. 4 tables remained dirty and full of dishes for 40 minutes out of the hour we were there. Came in on a Sat night at 8:30pm. Many tables empty but we noticed about 7 tables needed cleaned when we arrived. I understand restaurants get busy, but it's hard to understand when so many tables were empty. Our server made it apparent he was not in a mood to work, our meals came out sporadically and 2 of them came out as everyone else was finished. Meals came out cold, the kids mac n cheese looked old and came out in a side dish bowl (very small), and there were small details of every meal that was incorrect. The manager did rectify our epic fail and covered our check. It seems that if this is a popular place for travelers, staffing must increase. What if a bus load would have pulled in? The only nice thing about this place is a nice gift shop attached. read more

this resturaunt is not up to par with its dining experience in my opinion. They do not treat patrons as well as most fast food places and this is supposedly a family dining enviroment. from what ive been told they also treat staff horriblly and promised incentives are not received. why anyone would choose to eat here with so many other good resturaunts within a 1/2 mile radius is beyond me. i would not recomend this to anyone ever please save your money and eat at wendys.Ive also been told by an employee that they have seen another worker putting ajax cleaning powder into the chili so who knows what goes on in this place perhaps if employees were treated better they would not have a grudge read more

We always enjoy stopping at the Breezewood Bob Evans, it is one of the nicest around...but.....today was not a good experience. My husband ordered the shrimp and cod combo which came with cole slaw and a side.....his meal came, no tarter sauce, no cocktail sauce and no cole slaw. Had to leave my seat and go to the counter to make someone aware....the manger looked at me no questions asked .....but I caught our waiter as he was bringing the remainder of our food to the table, he went back to get the sauces and was another few minutes. Ordered a cob salad without the egg, all that was in it was lettuce, tomato, cheese, and chicken......no scallions, no bacon, and no grated bleu cheese on the top. I ordered a grilled chicken club and the sandwich condiments were fine but the chicken was breaded instead of grilled and when reviewing the receipt, I saw the waiter had keyed it in as a fried chicken club. Mentioned the issue with the salad and the sandwich to our waiter and his response was "oh I will have to get on the prep cooks in the kitchen". The salad was already late coming as the waiter said someone else already "jacked" the salad that was meant for our table. Again food was tasty but it would have been nice to have everything served together and in a timely manner the way it was ordered and the way the menu displays it. Upon paying the check, the cashier asked how everything was and my husband said it could have been better.......again no apologies. read more

My rating is for the service we received, which was the worst ever. As if that wasn't enough, the assistant manager, Jim K was the rudest and most vulgar person I have ever encountered and certainly doesn't reflect the values of the company. He swore at me in front of my grandchildren! He was mean and sarcastic to an elderly woman who just asked a simple question and treated me the same when I asked for a server.. He does not know how to run a busy restaurant. We were there on a Sunday at lunchtime and instead of being on the floor insuring tables were bussed and customers were waited on, he was at the podium calling names from the wait list! Meanwhile we waited 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order and there were more dirty tables in the restaurant than tables with customers. Believe it or not we NEVER saw a server at our table once. I complained to corporate about the way I was treated by Jim K. I can only hope they have addressed the problem. On the other hand, the other assistant manager, Jennifer S was a doll and did everything she could to make it right for us. read more
