The menu is filled with hardy breakfasts platters and dinners. Some you could share or take home leftovers. We watched the cooks move around the open kitchen. We saw the waitresses roll table service into napkins. We watched milk shakes being made. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. In the back is another room for Sunday's overflow. We had our cast party for our middle and high school Musical. It was my best second Denny's experience ever. I highly recommend this location! The service was incredible and the waiters and waitresses were very kind, even while we dined past closing time. The food was incredible, cooked perfectly. Bedford is the Pennsylvania town with the best Denny's around. If you are on I-70, I-76, I-99, stop here for any meal and be treated like family. The sign is faded but don't let the 1970's decor throw you off. There is plenty of room for banquets in their second dining room. Wow, what a great Dennys, had to go twice! The ambiance gave off a cool nightclub vibe, the service was great our waitress and waiter both fulfilled their duties beyond expectation each time. This is the best run Dennys that can be found anywhere! We dined at this location last evening with a group of 10- we were seated right away, the food came out perfect (kudos to the staff making our food!) Our orders came out at the same time and were served exactly as ordered. Our server, Trisha was very attentive. She even refilled our beverages without us asking!! We could have not asked for a better experience. The manager even stopped by our table several times to check in. We will definitely be visiting this location the next time we are in the area! My wife and I stop in Sunday 8/8/21 to have Lunch and we both said they are very busy! I told her that we will probably need to wait a while for our food. I ask the hostess how long it might be? Denny's is not high on my bucket list but my grandson loves the place, so.. It wasn't horrible (as evidenced by various reviews I looked at before we stopped in) but the place is a little tired looking and the wait staff was not exactly on top of their game. I must say that the layout was a little strange - also, the place is quite big so they must actually get busy at times. French toast was the order of the day for Declan and he enjoyed it along with a hot chocolate and a kid's smoothie. The adults in the room opted for standard fare - Loaded Vegetable Omelet, Grand Slam Eggs and a Philly Omelet, all with potatoes and sourdough bread. A Denny's is a Denny's, it's the staff that makes the difference. We were greeted by yet another young hostess that did not appear to like her job. Absolutely indifferent to her job. The place was clean with the typical Denny's furnishings. We got the basic eggs and bacon and they were good. Nice crispy bacon. The server was polite and friendly but our coffee cups reminded empty while he was at the counter on his phone. Was so excited to see a Dennys before we got on the PA Turnpike... Much better than the McDonalds that we thought we were gonna have to eat! We were famished to the point of almost gnawing our own arms off and McDonalds just wasn't gonna cut it... Anyway the Dennys by us that was there forever closed a couple of years ago so I wasn't gonna miss the chance to eat at a Dennys again... Not that our Dennys was all that or anything. It had really fallen down in recent years but I still had memories of it's good days. So about this Dennys. It was a real nice one. Thought the decor in the place was kinda neat and our waitress was really sweet. I even stepped out of my usual omelette comfort zone and I ordered a Bacon and Avocado Breakfast Burrito. It was a pretty tasty change of pace and I ate every bit of it, and the shredded hash browns that I had on the side. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals... Two had other breakfast dishes that came with the redskin home fries that they apparently offer now. My youngest daughter had some nice looking fish and chips. So with our bellies full we continued on our trip back home... Guess I will have to wait until our next trip to the mountains before I can have my fill of Dennys again. Sigh. read more

This very day we had the worst meals we have ever eaten in my 83 years! My wife's dinner salad was OK. We were seated immediately but ignored as others come and had orders taken. I considered walking out & should have. Wife ordered chicken tenders & were burned to a crisp. While taken off bill we came to eat not have inedible food removed. I ordered breakfast: ordered 4 pieces of bacon, 2 toast, got 4 toast, 2 bacon. ordered eggs easy over, cooked solid, no "egg juice." Hash browns ranged from burned to a crisp to absolutely raw. Bacon same, parts raw, other parts burned. Coffee luke warm but add creamer it was cold--also old and tasted terrible. Anyone who thinks one cannot completely screw up breakfast should try here. The outside of this location makes it look like it's an "old school" Denny's..but inside it's very modern. It's a very big location with a lot of seating options. The modern look is different than any Denny's I've been to before but it's nice. The service here was very good. Fast, efficient, friendly..overall very good. I ordered my go-to Denny's item..the Buffalo Chicken Strips. I don't know what it is about them, they just always hit the spot. The chicken is very crisp and tender, and the Buffalo Sauce is the perfect mixture of hot and sweet. This location is a good one and it just makes me wish even more that there were locations in Cincinnati. read more

We had a group of men and boys from our church who traveled west to Flight 93 and Fort Ligonier returning home stopped for dinner. We had arranged ahead of time to be able to use the banquet room. Denny's was very good to us. The food was excellent and the waitress that took care of our group of 15 was friendly, very efficient and took excellent care of us. One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a Denny's. When we first walked in, there was a hand written sign on the door that said no credit cards, no discounts, no gift cards, cash only, I was not aware of this new policy Denny's corporate had enacted. Anyway we sit down, we ask the manager if we can use our coupons we brought and she said no since it's a discount, cash only with an attitude. After that we waited about 40min to get our food! And the place was empty! I had ordered biscuits and gravy but when it came it was so cold and the "sausage gravy" was some sort of sludge with cut up sausages on top..... after returning the food the manager came over and asked how things were going, we told her what had happened and all she said was "well our systems are down", I was not aware that a computer was responsible for cold food. This Denny's is right off the PA Turnpike interchange in Bedford. There's plenty of parking in two lots flanking the building, and it's one of the few places around open 24/7. The fare is your basic Denny's: breafkast all day, generally quick service, filling meals that taste alright and typically sit with you for a while. It's good for groups of various sizes, especially at odd times of the day or late at night. The milkshakes are good on the sweet side of the menu, and the Grand Slam is more along the lines of a single--double on a good day--but a decent breakfast nonetheless. read more

The out side of building doesn't look like a Denny's I actually drove past it the1st time. The inside is very modern/retro I really like the decor. The food is what one would expect from a Denny's. On a Sunday at 9:32 A.M. we arrived and were seated immediately. That was the quickest thing about the entire visit. It took 10 minutes to order drinks and that was only after the man who seated us walked by, and offered. We told him we wanted to place our entire order, but he wasn't able to take it. A few minutes later the waitress came and took the order, simple and concise, straight from the menu items. At 10:25 A.M., we decided if we were not served by 10:30, we were going to leave, paying only for our drinks...which were sitting empty for quite a while. A minute later, the food arrived, with a comment that they had seated a party of 45 in the back dining room, and that was the cause of the delay. There was no bus, to indicate to us that there was one large party, had we seen that, or been told that there would be an hour wait for breakfast, we would have continued on with our trip, grabbing a fast food biscuit along the way. The meals were warm, not hot....almost like they had sat for a while, and the taste was mediocre. Sadly, this experience was for us, a failure. read more

Was pleasantly surprised to see they've renovated the restaurant and the quality of food has greatly improved.
