The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. It was my family's first time here and last time. I am not sure if it was just this location or their food is just bad. As soon as the whole family got to our rental location we were all fighting and running for a toilet. It may have been maybe 11 minutes after the meal when it went straight through us. read more

I was a bit concerned when my family and I pulled up. We are a large unit and also meeting other family members here so we arrived in 3 separate cars. We were the only ones here aside 1 other car. Bear in mind that I am writing this review while I am still here waiting on my order, so that alone should speak volumes. We are a multigenerational, multi cultural family, so perhaps that would be the reason, in addition to having only a 2 other people inside the entire restaurant to serve, the employees stared as us. Finally one of them bothered to greet us from the serving window and, while they all continued to stare and talk about us, we were taken to a table. I actually stopped walking and looked back at one of the employees because she was staring so much. Rude! And! My suspicions were correct. The employee doing the most staring and side commenting was the manager!! One of my relatives validated the behavior of the staff because she too noticed that the staring was a bit excessive. Aside from the odd and rude behavior, our server mustered through boredom, exhaustion, or illness, to serve us as perhaps as best she can. Our menus as well as some of the condiments on the table were either sticky or wet. Yuck! I am not a fan of Bob Evans as it is but only came here because it was at the request of my parents because they love the place. Good thing I had no intention on coming back; if I were ever in doubt this experience gave me clarity! ***To add, my parents aren't happy with their food. That's surprising!!! I was asked to taste the BBQ sauce and it tasted like Worcestershire sauce!!! My food was decent thankfully but the portions were so small I had to ask for an additional side to fill me up! My father actually to speak to the manager and she confirmed that the alleged BBQ was actually A1 steak sauce. What the heck! My mom thoroughly disliked her Turkey dinner and my 11 year old wouldn't eat her waffles because they were rock hard. Don't come here! Find another Bob Evans! read more

But I have to question how clean this place was. Carpet was revolting and there was a smell which seemed to be something other than food. Simple to go order turns into a hassle. I'm staying at the hotel behind the restaurant and this was the second time I ordered to go. I should have taken a hint after the first time. Burger was dry and tasteless even with bacon and cheese on it. Out of sheer laziness I ordered again tonight thinking I would try the pot pie. I get there and the waitress gives me my total. I told her that did not sound right and she assured me it was. I pay and then wait a few minutes. A guy walks in to pick up his order and tells her the amount is way too much. They had mixed up the orders. So they call me back up to refund and the recharge me. After the refund they were still staring at the register like it was an alien so I walked out without my food. Probably for the best. I'm here for another few days but I can guarantee I won't get that lazy again. read more

We're typically fans of Bob Evans. Our waitress and food were both quite good. There, however, seems to be some problem with the welcoming/exiting process. Though several looked our way when we arrived and the place was not busy at 8:00 a.m., we waited for some time before we were seated. When an older curly blond haired woman finally decided to quit talking and seat us, there was no greeting or "follow me," she just grabbed 2 menus and walked away. It later became apparent this woman's only job was to talk to a man at the counter and scowl at the customers. We waited a while to pay until a pleasant young waitress came out of the back with some guy who took our money. Needless to say, this was not a welcoming place but if you don't mind, the food and waitress were great. read more

I chose the wrong restaurant. Sleep deprived, stressed, and hungry is not the best state in which to make food decisions. And so I ended up here, wanting fresh vegetables or something close to it. I opted for veggie omelet made with egg white product, onions, spinach, and broccoli no cheese. Service was slow. It was crowded. No complaints here for that--I needed time to just sit and read the paper anyway. It was ok. However I won't be scrambling to make my way back anytime soon. Ummm YUM! I'd never had Bob Evans before and frankly, it didn't seem like the kind of place we would normally eat at. But it was one of the only places around for us to grab a bite, so in we went. We were seated right away and got their lunch combo, which was a half sandwich and a salad (both of us got the same thing). All of their meals come with rolls, cornbread or banana bread and we both chose the rolls (even though the waitress highly recommended the banana bread). Our food came out quickly and MAN was it ever good! We didnt' want to have anything too big since we were going out for dinner that night and it was already around 2pm and it hit the spot! The sandwich was delicious and the salad was super tasty. I liked how they sort of clumped the toppings together, so my hubby was able to pick out all the tomatoes he didnt want. Those rolls though.... *drooooool* those rolls were THE BEST ROLLS EVER. YUM!!! Definitely will come back, great meal, great service and great atmosphere! read more

This was my first visit to Bob Evans and I doubt I'll ever eat here again. First I had to wait 45 minutes to be seated, not a big deal, it happens but I found out way later. After being seated it took another 20 minutes to place my order, again not a big deal but they weren't THAT busy. Then I get my food, the bacon was burnt, the hash brown was burnt, my biscuits were hard, my wife's sausage was burnt and last but not least there was a hair in her French toast. One or two of these things, with the exception of the hair would have been ok, but all of these add up to a terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and go next door to Perkins, it's much better. read more

Man, I wish I lived close to a Bob Evans in Houston. This place is great!! My family of six and I dined here at 10 am, and we left with our bellies full and our souls smiling. Our server Tanya was extremely sweet and pleasant. She made our experience so much better. The food itself rocked. I enjoyed the hell out of my multigrain pancakes topped with creamy butter and maple syrup. The pancakes were fluffy and the granola inside of them added a wonderful crunch. I also had a side of over-medium eggs with a cup of breakfast blend coffee. My entire family devoured their breakfasts with pleasure. It's been a hot minute since my family and I have gone to Bob Evans and coming out of there, I remember why. I don't recall a time where I had a good experience in this restaurant. The wait to get a table wasn't bad, but the wait for everything else was irritating. If it hadn't been for the waitress showing up with our drinks at the right time we would've left without a word. The food was okay, but it definitely wasn't worth the wait. I get it, it's black Friday, but there wasn't even a full house to make such an excuse. I would have rated my experience one star, but the waitress we had was new and had apologized a couple times for the inconvenience. read more

I haven't eaten at a Bob Evans in many many years, so while on a recent trip to Orlando, I decided to dine at one. The restaurant was very busy and it took a little longer than usual to get our meal. Our waitress, although very busy, was very attentive and pleasant. I ordered a breakfast of eggs, hash browns, sausage links and a fruit crepe. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sausages we outstanding. I'm not a huge fan of breakfast sausage, but Bob Evans brand of sausage has a wonderful taste and not salty at all like other sausages. The taste brought me back to my childhood. All in all, it was a great experience. The restaurant was very clean and the staff very nice. Plans are in the works to build a Bob Evans very close to my home and I am very excited at the prospect of visiting this little gem more often! read more

I don't think a raccoon would bother eating out of their dumpster! Absolutely horrendous quality, came soggy and cold. Bread was stale and had mold! The meat was undercooked and vegetables came from a can! I think I might get food poisoning. I don't recommend this to anyone! read more

I really wanted to give this place a 4 star but it was the service that upset me. They sat us in between two tables and forgot about us. Most of the time when you go and eat a server would get your drinks even if there not the one that will be serving you its call team work. After 25 to 30 minutes my wife walked up to the front and said can we please place are order. I was watching them when she got back they never even moved they was just talking looks like they was trying to figure out who is going to be are server. A waitress that was cleaning a closed section came up and was like your still waiting? We was like yes and she said ok I will handle this. The food came and it was great the biscuit n gravy was like it was made by someones mom it was so good. The kids loved there food my wife was pleased also. Food was decent. Service was definitely lacking. Ordered a salad and a cup of soup. Wanted my soup first. It came out with the meal. No bread with it. Had to ask. Our waitress came by maybe once the entire time we were there. Had to hunt someone down for a different salad dressing. She never came back and offered boxes or anything for our kid's meals. She was the least attentive waitress I've ever had. We could have been on fire and she still wouldn't have looked in our direction...next time we will hit Cracker Barrel. read more

While my family really loves coming here, I can't say I feel the same. Everything I had was mediocre and typically something I could make equally as good at home. Not to mention the service was atrocious! The server was a middle aged guy who acted completely frazzled when he really was only serving 4 tables but acted like he was in charge of the whole restaurant. He was terribly forgetful and serving just isn't his calling. When we had finished with our meals, he never cleaned the table off, he took our dessert order and then placed the dessert among the dirty dishes. It wasn't until he brought the check that he decided to clear the dishes. And then on top of it, the meal was just fine. Nothing special. I ordered their grilled cheese, I will say I was happy to see it served on thick bread loaded with cheese. It reminded me of the grilled cheese sandwiches I got from a local spot in college. I didn't touch the fries. Then for dessert we had peanut butter brownie sundaes but the brownie wasn't terribly warm and it just tasted like a boxed brownie. I've heard some of their home style dishes are really good so if there's a next time here maybe that's an option. read more
