Came here for breakfast and my waitress was Sabrina and she was incredibly attentive and kind and helpful while I ordered. Country fried steak was delicious; not over breaded. Biscuits will literally melt in your mouth and mashed potatoes were nice. The gravy just tastes like store packet gravy, but after everything mixed together, it was all delicious. Hashbrowns were made well. Such a good deal in 2025 for just $8.99 ($15 after tax and tip). Very clean restaurant, as well. Every five years or so, I find myself at Bob Evans, usually with a group who swears it's "so good." Every time, I leave wondering if we ate at the same place. We arrived at lunchtime--party of five, seated quickly. The restaurant was clean, no complaints there. Service? Well... it existed. Lunchtime can be busy, so we weren't in a rush. We waited. And waited. Eventually, someone came over to take our order. No greeting, no name, just straight to business. Fine. Let's order. We all have Venmo, so a single check would have been easy, but our server insisted on sorting the tabs before doing anything else. "May I have another cup of coffee?" I asked. Cue the mom glare and a sharp "Just a minute, I'm working the tabs right now." Alright then. Food arrived--about 75% correct. Close enough. Nobody felt like flagging her down to fix anything. A while later, she finally returned, so I tried again: "Could I get that coffee?" Oh! she said, as if this was brand-new information, then disappeared. We finished eating. We paid. We left. Food was excellent and well cooked. Portion sizes were filling. The service was polite and quick. The place was clean and well put together. The gift shop with the shirts was a good add on. The banana nut bread was not fresh but was good. The syrup bacon was probably the worst thing I've ever had from bob evens tho recommend it's removal. Bathrooms clean, large parking lot, and a lot of seating. I don't exactly understand how their currently at a 1.9 stars but we walked in we're out with out call in orders in less than 60 seconds and it was yum . read more

The Positives: Seated quickly. Order taken quickly. Food arrives quickly. it is warm. not hot but that seems to be normal for restaurants these days. The taste is fine. It is breakfast so nothing extraordinary. The Negative: We have been here 5 times since our local friendly Frisch's closed. We have yet to have the hostess or any of the 5 different waitresses we have had say "Good morning" or "Wecome". No one has smiled. We are thanked for the tip. But even that isn't enough to crack a smile. This is the unfriendliest restaurant ever. We go out 3 times a week. I would think it is just one unfriendly waitress but since we have had a different waitress every time, it must just be a toxic atmosphere. There was four of us in our group. The server was "Melanie!"She was fantastic! Thr food was amazing! Passing through to go to jungle Jim's. So glad we did! Melanie made our trip worthwhile food. The experience at this location recently was an awful one, for a small takeout order: two Rise and Shine meals, one with biscuits, and one with a muffin. The estimated time was 15 minutes, and I got there a few minutes early. I patiently stood at the counter for at least 10 minutes, occasionally making eye contact with employees, who quickly looked away and continued on with looking like they didn't want to be there. It wasn't until six people were ready to pay at the three registers that someone finally came over. She started ringing up the guy next to me first, who had been there about half as long. Aggravating, but the payment was quick... When she started ringing up the next guy in that line, I had to cut her off with the ol' finger wag and "No, no, no, I've been waiting here a lot longer than anyone else. Is my order ready?" Guess what? My bag had been the one on the shelf behind the counter THIS ENTIRE TIME! Kudos to the chef for having the food ready quickly, and no thanks to the ragtag staff for letting it sit there while I was standing in front of it. Back at my temporary home half a mile up the road, the food was cold, there was no muffin, and the portions were small. Hey, Bob Evans: you should be able to pare down your costs and help the environment by ordering smaller to-go boxes. Getting a new manager would help, too. I am so disappointed in Bob Evans recently. Their wait staff has always competent but it seems lately they are not supported with bus boys, enough cooks or kitchen staff. (That might explain the gritty feeling tea tumbler my husband recvd which turned him off to even drinking from it.) Two couples left, tired of waiting for a table. We could see empty tables with waitstaff hurrying to bus them. They explained they only had one cook. Really? On a Sunday morning? Not their fault but obviously distressing for everyone including us. I remember days past, when there was a very present manager, ckg on tables,helping out, greeting their regular customers and ensuring we were happy and served well. Sadly, No longer a pleasant place to begin my day. Add that prices keep going up- no thank you. PS sure seems like to go orders take precedence over customers waiting for a table. read more

Bob Evan's all around us were really unprepared for the Thanksgiving rush. The 2 near us wouldnt take orders before the actual day we called all day and when we went in person were told had to order online. Tried ordering online .. to get messages it was unavailable. I had to work the holiday but wanted my 88 yr old mom to have the traditional meal. The Lebanon location not near us but was the only one that was taking online orders. You had to order online and there were only 2 choices...the reg Turkey meal or reg with Turkey and ham. We placed the order.. it charged credit card and gave pick up time and confirmation number. When it was nearing our pick up time ... we drove there. Lots of people waiting for pick up orders. People that ordered 4 hours ahead still had to wait 30 minutes to get the order. We were less fortunate... they didnt even show our order. Luckily we had confirmation text and confirmation number. So it took forever and was a hassle but we finally got the food to deliver and I wasnt late for work. To try 3 Bob Evan's and have that much trouble was disappointing. This was where we stopped on our way put of town for Washington D.C. The service was acceptable and the restaurant was relatively clean. Pretty much on par with any other Bob Evans I've ever been at. Now let's take a look at the food... Country Fried Steak And Farm Fresh Eggs Candied Bacon What Is It: A very traditional take on this classic down home breakfast. The steak was covered in white gravy and came with two eggs, and home fries (grits or hashbrowns can be chosen instead of the home fries. ) The candied bacon was on their dessert menu and is sweetened with brown sugar. Presentation: Everything looked just like it should and ready for consumption. 7 out of 10 Taste/Final Analysis: The country fried steak was top notch as it was fried to perfection and the gravy was delicious. The eggs were eggs. The home fries were severely undercooked which is a cardinal sin for a potato dish. They were pretty inedible. The candied bacon was delicious and I could eat 1000 pieces of it. Pretty good meal aside from the home fries. 8 out of 10 for everything but the potatoes Cook your dang potatoes out of 10 for the home fries. read more

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Call ahead is not available at this time. For a group of 6 we were originally told 60-90 minute wait. But after about 15 minutes (multiple last calls announced overhead) we were reluctant to be seated. The overhead announcing system was a nice touch. Our service was average. For a group of 6 people our food was delivered in three different waves over a 15minute time span. So one person was completely done with their meal before the last guest (birthday girl) was even served. read more

My husband's food was cold and uncooked when it arrived. The service was less than fabulous as he was half finished when they brought his order of toast. The floors where nasty and the restaurant wasn't clean in general. The manager was less than impressive as well. Portions are not what they used to be either. Go somewhere else to eat! read more

Stopped in for breakfast on a Tuesday morning at 8 am. The restaurant was empty except for one section where they had 6 different parties ALL crammed in one area. What the heck? this was just the best experience ever! lol I walked in to Bob Evans to get my pickup order and there wasn't a single employee in sight. I waited for about 20 minutes for my order. The person who gave me my order was nice, but seemed very rushed. I had to ask for rolls for my order because they provided none. I didn't get my receipt. I get home to check my order there is my silverware (which isn't a big deal), no butter, and no mac n cheese. Our office ordered online. When I arrived to pick up the order the parking lot was dirty with cigarette butts and trash, windows on entrance doors dirty and sidewalk greasy. I returned to the office with our food to find items missing and cold dry rolls. I called, they offered to replace the items. Bob Evans beats many big breakfast chains, but there are better options in Lebanon. I enjoy going to Bob Evans on occasion, as they have a bigger selection of breakfast drinks than most and a decent breakfast menu. I suggest eggs over easy as the scrambled eggs have a cheap taste. They fall short on value too which is a little surprising considering their size. Most items are overpriced. The decor has a decent vibe and the employees have always been great. read more

Just after the breakfast rush, we stopped in around 10:30am on Saturday, February 25, 2023. We were told 10-30 minutes of wait, but was seated quickly, possibly 15 minutes. During this time, we had a menu and knew exactly what we wanted before we sat down. We ordered at 11am and enjoyed our partially filled cups of hot chocolate, which made us need refills more often. At 11:20 I noticed what seemed as our order in the window. Waitress was in deep conversations with other servers, but when I walked up to the counter area, I asked if we would be getting our food soon. At 11:30, I interrupted her again and said we'd like to leave soon At 11:40, I went to cashier to pay, and the manager on duty was hostile towards me citing that our food was in the window, the same food that had been there since 11:20. She raised her voice and brought attention to the situation by the rest of the restaurant. I was trying to be polite and discreet, but her demeanor was hostile, so I called my family to leave that instant. The food was prepared in a timely fashion, but server was distracted by conversations and ignored our needs. By the time it was brought to the manager's attention, she didn't heave the right disposition to handle guests. We left famished. A father with three children. And this wasn't the first bad experience at this store. But every few months, I'll regrettably try dining here again. read more

We were seated quickly for a Sunday morning. Unfortunately; that was the best part of the meal. We were seated at a booth where there were empty coffee creamer containers on the table along with food and straw wrappers on the floor beneath us. The host and several servers walked over and through the mess on the floor during our entire meal. Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles weren't the servers so the actual servers had to have seen the mess. Bob Evans restaurants just suck. The food is at best very mediocre and can be really awful. This location is about par for the chain. Today we had lunch. My wife had the lunch special, an OK multi cheese grilled cheese half sandwich that tasted OK but seemed greasy, and a salad. I had a bacon turkey sandwich with a very small amount of turkey and bacon, and absolutely nothing to dress it so I had to ask for mayo. I substituted hash browns for fries, and the hash browns were awful - not crisp, just cooked to color, and utterly flavorless. I asked for fries instead and sent the hash browns back. So, a breakfast and home cooking place that won't make tasty hash browns. A while back I ordered what looked like delicious BBQ chicken and what came out tasted like a Banquet frozen dinner. read more

I rarely rate any place lower than two stars, but seriously the last two times I have ordered food to go, it has been wrong. I really don't understand why there is not a quality check prior to delivering the food to the customer in their car. It really is disappointing. The first time not only was the food wrong and luke warm or cold, but some of it was completely missing, including drinks....not sure how you forget that. Also, I prepaid, and yet you want my credit card to run it through and change me again, when I have the page showing a zero balance due??? Again, today 1 of 2 salads were completely wrong, so I had to drive back and return it and get a refund. (My own fault for not double checking before I left the parking lot). I think this store could use some overall guest service training as well as training on how to properly run the take out area of this particular store. read more

Wow, what a terrible experience. We arrived (3 of us) about 7:30pm for a late dinner. The hostess greeted us with a big frown and it was obvious she didn't want to be there. On the way to our table I was almost run into by a waitress with a big stack of dirty dishes. Our waitress was friendly enough but it took forever to get our food. Sensing we were getting anxious she brought out part of our meal that was ready. We finally got all our food at least 30 minutes after sitting down. The food was OK but not worth the wait. Our waitress then disappeared and never came back to offer drink refills. We saw her up front cleaning a coffee maker. While finishing our meal they started a vacuum cleaner right next to our table. We finished eating and then waited what seemed like a long time with the vacuum running. The waitress came back and started clearing dishes but must have noticed our dissatisfaction so she decided to put the dishes down and finally gave us our check. It is pretty obvious that this restaurant needs a better manager, assuming they even have one, since we never saw a manager. We have been to the Lebanon, Ohio Bob Evans many times over the years. Their service has gotten worse over the past year but this was absolutely the worst I have seen. I doubt we will be going back even though it is very close to my home. read more

I've lived in Lebanon for a few decades and I have eaten here twice. Both times the food has been average and the service/speed is awful. Late drinks and super late food. Macaroni and cheese was so salty it was not edible. Fried chicken on crispy chicken club sandwich had very little chicken inside the breading. Bob Evans markets their food as if it's some down on the farm "made from scratch" food mecca. The only thing I've seen is them scratching their asses and putting it in the microwave. They have high prices, tiny portions, and flavorless food. Today I had a "steak', that came out looking like a charcoal briquet. I can't tell what animal this came from. It peeled into pieces/layers and I had to use half a bottle of A1 to make it taste like anything. This was our second trip in the last month and my lovely daughter commented both times that her eggs tasted like rubber. She just left them on the plate. The coffee is decent, and the water tasted like water. When I got home, my house smelled like farts. read more
