Ordered through Door Dash for the second time. For the second time there were meals missing from the order and no condiments (syrup, butter, ketchup) and no forks or napkins. They kept our Dasher there 45 minutes waiting for our order. Door Dash made it right (as always) but having family members with no meals for the second time in a row is disappointing. By far the worse place to eat breakfast in Lebanon. I don't understand how you can run a breakfast restaurant and not know how to make sausage and eggs. Eggs was either undercooked or overcooked. Ordered $40 carry out, not including a $9 tip so close to $50 in total. We couldn't dine in (Coronavirus). The salad was just lettuce and cheese. I called to ask why when I got home and I was told "We only have cheese for the salads because we're out of everything." Not even an apology. I understand shortages but I got a soup and salad for my dinner so that information would have been good to know when I ordered. The potatoes in the potato soup were literally hard. The bacon bit on top of the soup was so greasy and mushy that it had formed a pool of grease on top of the undercooked soup. I guess I ordered the driest cinnamon donut type things for dessert. I couldn't even choke one down. We received no plastic utensils, no napkins, no butter for the overcooked rolls. The pot roast was cold. The only thing that was edible was my daughters bacon burger. Her fries were cold and her macaroni and cheese was so soooo dry. That's it. Everything went into the trash bin. So if you're considering ordering from this place, just wipe your ass with your money. Had the recent misfortune to eat here on a Sunday night. We should have left as soon as we arrived as we stood by the host stand for about 5 minutes before someone even acknowledged we were there. Was it because they were busy? No. Was it because the were short staffed? No. It was because the staff were too busy chit-chatting with customers and each other to pay attention. Finally, the one heroine of this story, a waitress who was also a trainer, saw us, cleared a table while holding up a one finger, 'just a sec', then came and seated us. She took our orders and they entered the black hole known as the kitchen. Being a black hole, time apparently moves at a different rate there. Keep in mind that the restaurant is more than half empty and there are at least two people working in the kitchen. We weren't asking for anything complicated. Just breakfast for dinner. The cooks had time to chat with the waitresses. The waitresses had time to chat wit each other and customers. Our waitress is running around, cleaning up the salad bar and other tasks when most everyone else is dinking around doing nothing. Our food took almost an hour. They brought my son's Piggy Pancakes first. We asked for no chocolate. I could see our waitress start to us with his food, then hand it back and tell them "the order said no chocolate." They brushed off the chocolate, which I'm fine with at this point as it's a school night. A few minutes later came food for my wife and I. We each got most of our order, but parts were missing. We just asked that it be removed from the check rather than wait. Our waitress is still trying to do 5 things at once while everyone else is still having a grand old time chatting with their buds. I finally have to go flag her down to get our check. I don't blame her for this. She was actually working and wouldn't have had so much to do if others had done their jobs. When she brought the check back I asked which one was the manager. I was told "the lady in the pink top. She's back in the office right now. She'd apparently been there the whole time because I was sitting facing the kitchen and never saw her once. We've had great service at this Bob Evans in the past, from many of the same people who were part of the problem on this night. I can only guess the manager needs a fire lit under them because that was the biggest difference. No manager in sight, or pitching I, or cutting down on the goofing off. Medium always comes out rock hard Over medium eggs always come out soupy. Steak is tough and tasteless. But my wife loves it so weekdays are the time to go. Salads are very good. read more

Our family of 6 waited 50 minutes for a table. A server called off and a section was closed, however, I feel the manager on duty should have been serving some tables until a replacement could make it in to work. We ate here tonight and did not have a good experience. The waitress took our drink orders and then came back and said they were out of Root Beer and Lemonade so we had to change our drinks. The waitress seemed new and was not very comfortable with the menu. My son ordered a breakfast entree and she asked him to tell her what all he wanted with that because she didn't know what it included. The rest of our party ordered and then the waitress came back again and said they were out of grilled chicken so I had to order something different. We had to ask twice to get to go boxes. On the way out a woman behind the check out counter made a snide remark to my oldest son and his girlfriend. We attempted to call and ask for management, but they said no one was available. We were looking to have a nice family dinner before we went on the North Pole Express Train ride in Lebanon, but we certainly won't make that mistake again. read more

The guy cashing us out at the register was rude and I asked him several times a questions and he just walks away and plugs his phone in and looks at it. Not personable at all. He should not be cashing people out with a rude attitude. I do want to say that our waiter Jacob was super. He was friendly and did a fantastic job. This place is terrible...we go there only because it is one of the only places in Lebanon. We show up a little before seven on a week night and half of the restaurant tables are completely empty, there are at least three staff members standing around behind the counter, yet we are told it will be 25 to 30 minutes. I've eaten here the past couple of years while in town visiting family for the holidays. It's always been busy on my visits and takes a little longer than average to get served. They do have a limited gluten free menu. The servers are generally friendly. On our most recent visit the table at which we were seated was covered in something sticky, probably syrup. I didn't notice until I got up to leave that my chair also had the sticky substance all over. That was disappointing since I had gotten it on my clothes. The food was mediocre. Although my gluten free chicken and potatoes looked a lot better than the breakfast meals others had ordered. I'm not sure if it is this location or this chain, but I find it to be an average experience...nothing special but not too much to complain about. read more

At 3 in the afternoon I was surprised we had to wait for a table when there were plenty open. It took almost 30 minutes to get our food then it was lukewarm. I had bacon cheeseburger that looked good but was lukewarm. Friend had biscuits and gravy and it was lukewarm too. Disappointing for a Bob Evans. We didn't finish. Didn't get refills on our drinks but server rushed us to pay the bill while we were talking. :-( read more

I've been coming to this bob Evans once a month at least for roughly 20 of my 22 years and have never had a complaint. I always feel super taken care of- even when they are super busy. It is not a high end restaurant so I don't expect high end food, but it is always cooked the way I ask, and I'm never disappointed. It's my go-to for brunch or breakfast meet ups. I had breakfast here with friends and had a pleasant experience. Bob Evans, being a popular Sunday brunch spot for people, was hopping, as expected. We were able to get seated quickly, and while we were there, the line of people waiting to be seated never got that long. Our waitress did a great job of keeping our drinks filled, and the grill kept the food coming. We didn't wait long on our food, and it came out perfectly prepared. This is the worst place I ever stepped foot into!! A server sneezed in my food and i found her dirty fingernail she chewed off in it!! When I proceeded to talk to the manager, she laughed at me and gave me a dirty look. The tables are always dirty, the servers are always on their phones and never helpful. Definitely not the place to go if you're in a hurry. In fact, I've been there when 3/4 of the restaurant is empty and they still will take my name and ask me to wait. Seems the work on a skeleton crew and if each waiter has 2 or 3 tables they ask you to wait. The food quality at all bob Evans restaurants that I have eaten at in the past year, has definitely been below standards. I have tried over and over again to give this place a chance. I would like to keep my business in Lebanon since I live here. I will be going to the Next One Up The Road. 15 minutes 20 minutes doesn't matter to me. They constantly get orders wrong. They always misjudge time frames if you have a carry out order. This place is pathetic. I should not feel like I need to check my order for accuracy every single time I go to a resturant. I love Bob Evans but this staff is pathetic. Managers and normal staff alike. I have tried the different shifts as well morning and night. Bob Evans corporate should be appalled at how this store performs. Called order in and was told that the online menu and photos of meals did not reflect what they offered for takeout. Picked up food and it was awful. If I could give a lower rating for service, I would. This must be one of the most mismanaged restaurants I have been to. I ordered carryout online at 6:15 PM and received a confirmation that the food would be ready to be picked up at 6:40. After standing in line at the restaurant to pick up the food for 30 minutes, as I watched my order grow colder in the waiting bin, the manager finally asked me to step down to a second cash register. When I finally made it to the register to pick up my food, the register could not be used as I was told by the employee that it had frozen (it wasn't frozen, as it turns out - he was just entering the wrong info). Another 10 minutes went buy before it could be rectified. I finally left the restaurant after waiting in line for 50 minutes. When I returned home, the food was cold and the order was incomplete! While the restaurant was moderately busy, being busy is not an excuse for poor service. The management needs to staff enough people to make sure the business runs smoothly, and the staff needs to be as efficient as possible. Although there were dozens of people waiting, the staff moved at a snail's pace and the management seemed completely unconcerned. I, along with the other people patiently waiting, were not told "thank you for waiting" or "sorry for the extremely long wait." In fact, the staff acted like they were doing us a great service by allowing us to purchase their food. I would strongly discourage anyone from eating here. read more

As a long time Bob Evans customer, I have come to expect the usual great service. The problem, however is that every time I visit the Lebanon store, the service is always lackluster, at best. Today, we were there for lunch. We waited 25 minutes for our food, salad and soup was delivered with the main course, and sat with no drinks for most of our meal. The table was never pre-bussed and there was no "how was your meal" when I paid the $45 bill. Definitely none of the characteristics that we usually enjoy at Bob Evans. first and last time I'll eat here, was somewhere close to morgantown w va, no hostess on duty, waited to be seated, waitress asks what we want to drink puts two creamers on the table but never brings coffee, is at another table already gave six girls water, taking their order, had to get up and interrupt her for our coffee, server brings food, says he can get me more coffee but doesnt bring cream, waitress finally comes over with refills but no cream, eggs over easy overdone, no runny yolk, bacon way underdone, raw spots. hash browns dry and bland,syrup for french toast rather runny, will never eat at bob evans again in my life. read more
