Food was excellent and well cooked. Portion sizes were filling. The service was polite and quick. The place was clean and well put together. The gift shop with the shirts was a good add on. The banana nut bread was not fresh but was good. The syrup bacon was probably the worst thing I've ever had from bob evens tho recommend it's removal. Bathrooms clean, large parking lot, and a lot of seating. I don't exactly understand how their currently at a 1.9 stars but we walked in we're out with out call in orders in less than 60 seconds and it was yum .

Rise & Shine looking a little skimpy

The experience at this location recently was an awful one, for a small takeout order: two Rise and Shine meals, one with biscuits, and one with a muffin. The estimated time was 15 minutes, and I got there a few minutes early. I patiently stood at the counter for at least 10 minutes, occasionally making eye contact with employees, who quickly looked away and continued on with looking like they didn't want to be there. It wasn't until six people were ready to pay at the three registers that someone finally came over. She started ringing up the guy next to me first, who had been there about half as long. Aggravating, but the payment was quick... When she started ringing up the next guy in that line, I had to cut her off with the ol' finger wag and "No, no, no, I've been waiting here a lot longer than anyone else. Is my order ready?" Guess what? My bag had been the one on the shelf behind the counter THIS ENTIRE TIME! Kudos to the chef for having the food ready quickly, and no thanks to the ragtag staff for letting it sit there while I was standing in front of it. Back at my temporary home half a mile up the road, the food was cold, there was no muffin, and the portions were small. Hey, Bob Evans: you should be able to pare down your costs and help the environment by ordering smaller to-go boxes. Getting a new manager would help, too. The service was the worst out of anywhere I dined in the area during my visit... I should have checked Yelp first!

    Nasty ceiling vent

Greeter rude. Server rude - until she drops the check. Restaurant has mold on ceiling and vents. In general disrepair. All the ceiling vents are super nasty. Cashier playing on cell phone instead of waiting on people. A second cashier who was cleaning was kind enough to stop and check us out. She was very polite. This brand is in the toilet.

This was where we stopped on our way put of town for Washington D.C. The service was acceptable and the restaurant was relatively clean. Pretty much on par with any other Bob Evans I've ever been at. Now let's take a look at the food... Country Fried Steak And Farm Fresh Eggs Candied Bacon What Is It: A very traditional take on this classic down home breakfast. The steak was covered in white gravy and came with two eggs, and home fries (grits or hashbrowns can be chosen instead of the home fries. ) The candied bacon was on their dessert menu and is sweetened with brown sugar. Presentation: Everything looked just like it should and ready for consumption. 7 out of 10 Taste/Final Analysis: The country fried steak was top notch as it was fried to perfection and the gravy was delicious. The eggs were eggs. The home fries were severely undercooked which is a cardinal sin for a potato dish. They were pretty inedible. The candied bacon was delicious and I could eat 1000 pieces of it. Pretty good meal aside from the home fries. 8 out of 10 for everything but the potatoes Cook your dang potatoes out of 10 for the home fries.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Call ahead is not available at this time. For a group of 6 we were originally told 60-90 minute wait. But after about 15 minutes (multiple last calls announced overhead) we were reluctant to be seated. The overhead announcing system was a nice touch. Our service was average. For a group of 6 people our food was delivered in three different waves over a 15minute time span. So one person was completely done with their meal before the last guest (birthday girl) was even served.

Look close at the mystery white crud all over our glasses.

Good day fellow Yelpers!…read more This morning we were looking for an early lunch joint and the first place we stopped was packed so, we decided to stop at another place to try something new. First of all, walk in the back door, not the front. The outside area has a nice seating area but no shade, still good for a good weather day visit. Inside is old school, you can definitely tell as soon as you walk in, it's hasn't been updated in a LONG time but honestly it's kinda cool to see it in what was probably pretty close to how it originally looked. Walk around the counter to place your order with the menu clearly displayed on the wall. The chef is a one man show and cooked to order. He was friendly and attentive despite being alone. On to the food... Finally a place that salts fries properly without needing more. It's the little things for me I normally have to ask for salt every where but they were piping hot and salty!! I ate the smothered chicken sandwich. Fresh slice of tomato, well seasoned roaster bell peppers were the highlight. I felt it lacked seasoning but maybe I'm too much of a sodium junky. The red aioli seemed too thin but that could have been due to the juicy tomato. Bacon Cheeseburger was fresh and the toasted italian was good. Burger of course was sliding off the bread every time a bite was taken. This is a solid place to try. I'm secretly wishing we would have gotten breakfast but that we'll do next time.

NOT a "d i v e bar" by any stretch of the imagination…read more This is a charming tavern with old school ambiance, sturdy wooden bar, tables, and chairs (not stools). The bar room has two little "snuggery" areas in the windows up front and we sat in one today when we came for brunch. Fifteen beers on tap. Great classic rock feed. Two additional dining rooms and a big outdoor seating area that actually looks comfortable. The regular menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, wraps and mains looked really good, but it was 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, right after church, and Doc's serves up breakfast all day Sunday! Including a $7 Bloody with salt rim, lime wedge and three olives - as spicy as you want it. Loved. My husband had the breakfast bowl and was amazed at the quantity and quality of the food. The sliced fresh mushrooms were especially notable. For me, Chicken and Waffles is the very essence of Sunday Brunch, and I was quite pleased. Also a hearty serving, two big chicken cutlets and two thick waffles dusted with powdered sugar. I took half home and finished it for supper. Ask for the Sriracha Syrup on the side, and if you're not a Sriracha fan they will give you regular syrup on request. I got both! When we arrived there was just one other couple at the bar who had already ordered food, but over the next 30 minutes at least ten people in various groupings came in and some went to the dining room. There was just one gal, the bartendress, to wait on everyone and she did a great job keeping up with it all, even checking on us. I'm sorry I did not get her name, but it was Sunday March 8th and she deserves big shoutout. I recommend Doc's and plan to return. Get in here.

We were starving after hitting Charm at the Barn and realized we hadn't eaten a thing since early…read morethat morning during our coffee drive thru sharing a blueberry lemon cake. By this time it was almost 230 pm on a Saturday. Greg welcomed us and got us our drinks and we ordered the same cheeseburger with fries and aioli sauce for dipping. The only difference between our orders was my BFF wanted her burger to MOO and I wanted mine more med-well. They not only got the order right, we both got the cheeseburger we wanted. Cleaned out plates - we were starving! Prices were reasonable. Staff was awesome. Food was fantastic. Super happy we hit it up and would totally go back the next time I'm in town.
