It's a typical Bob Evans Restaurant. Nothing more, nothing less. Service by David was friendly, quick and efficient. No complaints from me. The food was tasty enough, hot and decently portioned. Judging from the review average, I had a better experience than most. 4 stars And Let Me Tell You A Little More... I got their small Turkey and Dressing entree. When it hit the table, I thought "Is this all?" But... I couldn't finish it. It was pretty good. I just wish the turkey was more like the pictures instead of being like Oscar Meyer turkey lunchmeat. It doesn't matter if you order day or night biscuits are old and hard. You pay for an additional add on like cheese, a drink etc you'll be lucky to get it. Service is non existent. The lack of communication is appalling. Do they even have management on site??? People are waiting 55 mins for pancakes, biscuits n gravy and a sandwich! So many customers walk out the door after waiting 25+ minutes before even being greeted! Please don't waste your time and money. read more

Skip this place McDonald's is looking better every day . Today I ordered two fish platters. They usually come with two sides and a roll. We were not given a choice of a second side and not given any roles. When I ordered, I ordered extra tartar sauce. It did not come with any and I told the waitress to bring it to me 10 minutes later she said sorry I do not have tartar sauce and I do not know where the manager is. 15 minutes later my food was cold and they found the manager in the parking lot with another employee. I don't know what they were smoking. Poor leadership of a manager is followed by employees that don't know what to do. We waited a solid 45 minutes for our food--long enough to question every life decision that led us there. When it finally arrived, it was... microwaved chicken noodle soup. Comfort food? More like dorm-room nostalgia. Our server was sweet but clearly new to the game. Honestly, if we were aiming for "meh," Wendy's was right down the street. At least there, the disappointment is fast and expected. My "fried" chicken? Cold but passable. My brother's grilled chicken? Practically inedible--chewy and dry questionably prehistoric. The salad came nicely portioned, but they hardly tossed on half a chicken tender, like they were rationing protein during the apocalypse. They were short stuffed when we were there. Only 4 people working the whole restaurant including the kitchen. Our lunch was totally almost 2 hours. It's longer than what we were expected but the service was good. The employees worked very hard. When we checked out, one of their computers was down, so all dine-in, carry out and pick up had to use the only computer so everyone was pretty stressful. The Bob Evans in London Oh. Never has gotten a carry out order correct for us we always have to call and say we are missing items that we paid for. Spoke with manager asked how they checked to make sure all items were there she said they highlighted the items well it was all highlighted but was missing 2 items. This was a $35.00 order and for 3 people. Not a happy customer and no one there seems to care. Good luck if you decide to go there and plan on missing items and a second trip to pick it up read more

This restaurant has been going downhill for awhile now. Today will be our final visit. Our food was lacking. My husband's mashed potatoes looked like dried up wallpaper paste. My salad was lacking in size, diced up veggies, and even cheese. Service is horrible and the cooks just can't get it right. Obviously Bob Evans restaurants are gonna be closing because I really don't know how they expect customers will want to come in for a meal. We are done with this place!! read more

A Cartesian circle of a lack of work ethic and lack of tipping creates an environment that is hostile to both worker and diner. Bob Evans food in general is worth about 3 stars for homestyle goodness but this location is lacking in all areas. Upon walking in the door we were told to wait and they would seat us in a moment. That moment turned into waiting for ten minutes to be seated. No lines and this was at 1:30 in the afternoon with scarce patrons. Upon seating our order was taken quickly. We ordered the three course special. We then waited for twenty five minutes to receive our salad and soup! But guess what. No salad!!! The entree came instead with the soup and my husbands salad missing. No rolls either. My broccoli cheddar soup was so watered down you could almost not taste any cheese flavor to it at all. Horrible with tiny bits of broccoli way over cooked in it. The chicken fried steak was fair. Gravy and potatoes fair. Service was horrible. Did not receive drink refills while waiting the twenty five minutes for our food. Poor poor service. Other reviews saying missing items were correct. Glad I don't live here. I would be making the drive to town for quality food. Only good thing I can say is price. But when you suffer that for quality I will pay more. Thanks! read more

This is our last "give it another try". We've noticed the service and food have gone downhill in the past 1 to 1 1/2 years. We just thought they were trying to get back on track since the pandemic closures. They seem to be understaffed all the time. Last time we ate in, there was one server. Another time the server told us the managers were cooking. A new server got my order wrong twice and I decided to just eat it because I could tell she was frazzled but it's not hard to tell the difference between ordering a burger vs eggs or when I said fries, i got shredded hash browns. So we decided to do carry outs. The food has been hit or miss. I check to make sure everything is in the order before I leave because it has been wrong several times. They are very stingy on their food portions, especially the sides. Today was the last straw for my husband. After spending more than $12 for the burger, fries and Cole slaw, he looked at the fries and said he's seen more fries in a McDonald's kid's meal. Barely any. He said no more. Bob Evans in London isn't much different from the rest of them, and a very popular place here, especially on weekends. One of the only places in town with free wi-fi. Service can be slow and I've had a couple of inattentive waitresses before, plus you will usually have to wait in the checkout line for a while before someone attends the desk. Otherwise, it is one of the only places to eat here that isn't fast food or pizza, so I'm a fan. read more

So there is this phenomenon happening everywhere: you're paying more and getting less. Bob Evans in London, Ohio not only seems to be overpriced, but they cannnot cook an over easy egg correctly. here is how it has (and likely will) play out: 1) you order over easy eggs 2) you cut into said eggs and uncooked whites will flood your plate in gooey fashion 3) you say something 4) an ignorant server will argue with you saying that the white isn't fully cooked in over easy eggs! 5) she'll take them anyway and you'll get over hard eggs back because the kitchen is being over cautious or punishing you for your ignorance of eggs. Are you frustrated yet? bc you had coffee and your bill is like $12 per person. Very disappointing, manager is unpleasant to employees. Staff seems easily distracted lately. Last time I went my mom and I was there damn near 2 hrs. Not because we were having a good time but because they took 15 minutes before our order where even taken. Then 48 minutes before our food came out, no refills on our drinks until I went to the counter to ask for refills. Then we asked for boxes and 35 minutes go by no boxes no check. So I took our plates of food to the counter and asked for boxes and asked to be rang out there because it had now been 2hrs and 5min. And we had other things to do. The food here is no different than any other Bob Evans you go to, but I'm writing this review because of my experience this morning. I placed an online order yesterday for 24 biscuits and a bowl of gravy to take for a potluck at work. When I got there this morning, the gentleman at the front, who I believe is the manager, informed me that they only had 19 biscuits and he could make me more but it would be about 20 minutes. I told him the 19 biscuits would be fine, but he did everything he could think of to make up for the inconvenience of my missing biscuits. I can't tell you how much that os appreciated, not many people/places will go out of their way to make sure that their error is corrected. Awesome customer service! read more

We had a disappointing visit to Bob Evans. We were seated at a table that was not cleaned yet. Before we were able to order we were served coffee that was in a dirty mug. The outside of the mug actually was stained from being used and not washed. The cup of creamer had old dried creamer at the bottom of the cup. We didn't want to even stay for a meal. We always enjoyed going to this Bob Evans. However, it appears they may have gone through a large turnover as I didn't recognize one person from our previous visits. Hopefully there is better sanitation practices in the kitchen. read more

It the only restaurant in London where you can sit down for breakfast lunch or dinner. The menu isn't too bad but they always mess up our orders and then do a poor job correcting it. Maybe its because we have 5-6 people it is too hard to keep track of everything. The server writes your order down so I don't know if it is them or poorly trained cooks. If you go there expect undercooked veggies, items without the toppings you ordered and lots of missing pieces of the order. By the time they get our stuff correct we end up taking most of it home because we fill up on only half our order. Don't expect to see a manager checking for quality assurance because you won't get it. Our server offered to remove a meal from our order since it was completely wrong and the manager never stepped out to speak with us. They didn't have to take any money off, I would be happy if they just tried to get it corrected the right way. We go because its close to home but every time we leave, we always say we should have just made the drive to the city. read more

I've given this location 2 chances. Once doing take-out and another doing dine-in on Christmas Eve. Both times were pretty terrible. As far as quality and service goes.. i won't be returning a 3rd time. I got pretty rude/snippy service from the cashier at checkout, the waitress barely checked on our table.. They've blamed their poor service on being "busy" both times i've went.. which is no excuse in my opinion. If that is the case, they need to hire more staff. I paid for sausage links and they didn't come until i was heading out the door! Over-priced... do yourself a favor and stay home and make your own. Or drive a little further for a better location. We came here for my husband's birthday breakfast and left not very satisfied. First off, our waitress was not very friendly and did not go out of her way at all to ask how the food was and such. I ordered the Border Scramble and it was ok. My husband's food was bad. He ordered eggs over medium and they were way over cooked, even asked for new -- they came out the same or worse. The rest of his food was cold and home fries were raw. Left most of it on the plate and the waitress never asked how it was. No drink refills either. Poor service, poor food.
