I met some family for a celebration breakfast the other day and could not have been happier with our visit. From the minute we stepped in, everyone was welcoming and friendly. Our server Julia was outstanding. She treated us like old friends and made my day feel even more special. I was graduating ugh my Masters degree and when she found out, she had the staff sign a handmade card for me with well wishes and congrats. That kind of care is SO special!! This is always a solid choice for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Service was slow today but our server was working hard with the tables she had, not her fault. Pancakes are very good. The salted caramel donut balls on the seasonal menu were amazing, 10 out of 10. I had the million dollar breakfast sandwich and it was good but I thought the hot honey would be spicy and sweet and it was just sweet which was a turnoff for me. It was still good but I wouldn't get it again or I'd ask for no honey and maybe I misread the Dave's honey part. Service is always excellent; they're quick to bring coffee and they always leave the carafe for easy refills. This is a breakfast/brunch/lunch place and it closes at 2p. Always a good choice for breakfast! I had avocado toast. The bread was so thick but Saturday and soft; very good! There was so much avocado on top, most have been 2, maybe 3 avocados worth lol! I do wish it had tomatoes as it was missing something. My mom had the French toast and said it was her go to, and my sister thought she would have leftover omelette and did not! Have not been to the First Watch in Wortington in a while. My friend who had only been to the one in Kingsdale, enjoyed herself. I got the Works Omelet without Sour Cream and never disappointed with it, I got the toast with jelly and potatoes that sticks into you and washed down with Diet Coke and water. She got the Eggs Benedict, but requested regular Bacon instead of Canadian Bacon and loved the coffee with her meal. The server was excellent and got our drinks to go after we both ate. Their delicious and unique breakfast & lunch choices are really hard to find anywhere else. I come in here craving a Havarti Sandwich, but I always end up trying something else that catches my eye. This weekend I had their Market Hash which consists of two eggs any style atop fresh, seasoned potatoes, roasted Crimini mushrooms, zucchini, shallots, red peppers, baby spinach, melted Mozzarella and herbed Goat cheese. It comes with whole grain artisan toast. This may be my new go-to! Additionally, to make things even better. They serve alcohol now! One of the oddest layouts of a First Watch I've ever seen. It's curved with a low ceiling. It looks like it was updated recently and has some cool furniture and fixtures/artwork. Our server greeted us right away and took our drink order. We told him that the WiFi wasn't working, but he didn't seem to care to look into it for us. We ordered the Tri-Athelite and the Roast Beef Sandwich with Vegetable Soup. Both were good, but the soup was not hot. We were seated in the front of the kitchen and the place looked like a mess. The automated toaster had toasted bread piled up and just sitting at the bottom of it for the duration of our visit--that was a bit odd. The staff seemed a bit too casual here and not very professional. The one waitress kept cutting between our tables when serving her own tables in the back. In what might be the most ridiculous experience of my life, I was removed from the waitlist 2.5 minutes after being told my table was ready via text message. Let me explain: This location is relatively busy and the line for the hostess stand is frequently out the door. When I got my text, like a good girl, I returned to the hostess stand to claim my table. BUT the line prevented me from quickly getting to the front. Unless I wanted to start throwing elbows, I was at the mercy of the line. When I finally got there, a startling 30 seconds late, I was told I was removed from the waitlist and would need to be added again and start over. I do appreciate efficiency, but maybe given the logistics of the restaurant they should consider lengthening the time to respond. I will say I don't blame the hostess who isn't in charge of these decisions and who was kind when I admittedly responded in a frustrated manner. read more

I've been to a few different First Watch locations and they are all very consistent. Quality food made with great ingredients. I haven't found anything yet that I haven't loved, but my all-time favorite is the lemon ricotta pancakes. They are so fluffy and light with the right amount of lemon flavor, served with strawberries on top. Oh, and don't forget to add the million dollar bacon on the side to whatever you order! You have to. It's a must. It'll change your life. This bacon is incredible. In terms of drinks, the kale tonic is very refreshing. The coffee is also superb. Make sure to ask for a to-go cup to enjoy after you leave the restaurant! Pro tip: I'd be sure to check out the wait times before you go (on the app here) in case you need to put your name down if there's a long wait. Overall, this is a great place to go for brunch. I just had the best service I have ever had at a First Watch in Ohio! From the gentleman who seated me to the woman busing the tables (that noticed I needed a fresh napkin), every single person was genuinely warm and welcoming. My server Mia was stellar! My boyfriend when he finished eating here had a completely different opinion from a few years back. We will definitely be back. I wish I knew the servers name. She was super awesome and helpful.
