We always love a Cracker Barrel. Service was quick on a Sunday morning. Everyone was lovely. They seated us by the fire when we asked. My aunt and I both had the biscuit breakfasts. It's a great value. Very cozy inside. I'm glad they still have the old decor :)

Everything started out pretty nice. Our waitress was very nice, Our appetizer arrived and then we ordered our main course: I ordered the campfire chicken and my husband ordered the campfire beef. We waited...and waited. We noticed how the other customers were waiting also, maybe one or two had an order of fries. We we were then told that the kitchen was short staffed. We continued to wait and im sure that it was most likely an hour later with still no food. Our waitress did update us on our food. And then finally she tells me that if I still wanted the campfire chicken it would be another 5 to 10 minutes. I told her to just bring me a campfire beef instead. The food came and it was horrible. My meat looked burnt, my husband had cherry tomatoes and I didn't. The food was disappointing. Our waitress told us that the manager would comp our meal. I was ready to leave afterwards.

We ordered takeout tonight. I love the sides and the desserts. I ordered the potato casserole which once was a must have. Now its a very dry tasteless no thank you. The baked apples were fabulous as always. The dumplings were terrible. Thick, gummy and the only taste to them was flour. But the WORST part of the entire experience. I ordered 2 pieces of carrot cake. Check out the picture and ask yourself...where is the quality control? And no, they didn't charge me half price for one of these. I paid full price for both!

Cracker Barrel is always a reliable spot for classic American diner-style food, and they've even added alcohol to the menu, which is a nice touch. We ordered burgers, fish, and chicken fingers, and everything tasted great. The portions are generous, and the prices are super reasonable for the amount of food you get. Our server was so sweet, and the food came out quickly, making the whole experience even better. The kids especially loved the build-your-own hot chocolate--it was such a fun treat for them! If you're looking for a casual, family-friendly place with tasty food, Cracker Barrel never disappoints!

I was bummed to see this Cracker Barrel only has 3 starts but despite it I've gone and tried it myself. My experience could not have been any different than those with poor experiences. As for the restaurant itself, it's your classic Cracker Barrel in every way including being very clean and busy. The staff was so friendly, like recognizably more friendly than many other places which makes you feel so welcome. I did a take out order but from what I experienced, the restaurant and staff was wonderful. As for the food - when I tell you I annihilated my food, I don't think I took a breath while eating it was so delicious. I tried the chicken n dumplings after it was recommended and it was delicious. The chicken was so tender, the dumplings were perfect, and it was pretty much homemade comfort on a plate. I also HIGHLY recommend fried okra as a side if you haven't tried before. I will definitely be returning!

Service has been decent other than the fruitcake kid that started to give our food to a table that just sat down. He wasn't even our waiter/waitress. Then he got nervous went in the back and never came back out. Our waitress was decent and polite. Food was damn good and hot this go around.

Their version of "eggs in the basket."

We enjoy Cracker Barrel food and eat breakfast there often when traveling. I was happy to see that eggs in the basket was brought back and found it to be consistently prepared and presented no matter which location we visited. Until today. The Hilliard OH location had their own special take on the dish, and it wasn't pretty or tasty, nor did it resemble any eggs in a basket that i have ever seen. No holes. No basket with eggs peeking through. Instead, I got, rubbery, overcooked eggs thrown onto two soggy pieces of toast covered with pallid tomato slices which were smeared with mayo. If the kitchen doesn't know how to prepare a dish, they should just fess up. My husband's blueberry pancakes were decent as always. I didn't want to make a fuss since we were on the road and needed to move on. Our server didn't ask how our meals were and made herself scarce. I am attaching a photo of my plate. We were also charged extra for the sausage although I believe it is supposed to come with the plate. Sad way to start the day.

Was able to finally give this place a review. I've been here many times and I always enjoy it. Their breakfast has a great selection, and I went with the new pancake tacos. They're pretty good. I mainly come back for the service. They're always friendly, and that's what I love the most.

I wish that I could write a good review but I can't. Everything started good with our appetizer and then it went down hill. Our waitress was kind, the kitchen staff was short staffed and it showed. My wife and I waited for over an hour for our meals that came out unappetizing to us. Our meals were free from the manager. Yeah, just wasn't a good dinner experience for us.

Cracker Barrel has decent food and service. The wait staff were pleasant and the ambiance is typical American country inspired.

Ok the taste - I'm not a huge okra fan. But these fried little morsels were spiced up and hit the spot- hubby loved his salad while I munched down my chicken and waffles like - you know - stat! It's tucked into Budd dairy food, hall, so tons of drinks and seat seating options throughout the restaurant. Just the right spice to not distract from the flavor of the chicken. Now just an FYI The chicken is not really spicy. Not a bad thing since the Rice , Greens and Hush Puppies supply the spices. Interesting take on the dinner. They also have Catfish . Can't wait to try both the regular and the Blackened Version. Three words: Country; Fried; Chicken. Wow…read more I decided to stop at this little local place while staying in town for the week based on some solid reviews (and the fact that I made some fried chicken of my own for my family last night but didn't really end up getting any before I left). I started out with a 101 Jungle Bird as I'm a rum drinker and liked the idea of a bourbon-forward one instead. I'll say that this was much more fruity than a Jungle Bird and without the bitterness (no Campari). It also didn't taste very strong but it definitely hit me pretty good. Definitely a tasty-but-dangerous one there. For food, I opted for the Country Fried Chicken. What a fantastic choice indeed. The breast was either butterflied or pounded flat but still thick enough to give a good bite. The outside was cooked to absolute perfection with a crunchy texture without being burned or underdone. The inside was tender and juicy. The whole piece was seasoned beautifully and that was even without any of the delicious white gravy. The Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes that accompanied were similarly well done with great flavor. And the cherry on top was that the portion size was PERFECT. Not a ton of carbs and things that left me feeling beyond full or guilty that I had a bunch of leftover food to likely toss. The seat at the bar was a great place to be. A handful of seats staring at nothing but a huge wall of bourbon. To your back are a series of large high tops and, unfortunately for me, on this night were full of a rather loud group. An unintended side effect of the close quarters but I'm sure not a regular thing. The place is otherwise quite cozy and comfortable and in line with the southern cooking motif. My bartender, Mike, was also very friendly and happy to chat a little about my travels and share our regional sports experiences. All in all, absolutely outstanding. Great food, wonderful staff, and an impressive drink selection. I'm looking forward to coming back here again.

I got smothered pork chops, since I hadn't had them forever. Meaty, tender, covered in gravy and onions. So so good, especially as comfort food on a cold day. You can also get them fried. Plenty of other things on the menu looked good. And all of the sides sounded good. I ended up getting one that was a mix of cabbage and greens, instead of getting the two separately, so that gave me space for another side. I went with mac & cheese. Sweetie's mom's mac is the best in the world. I'm not kidding. This is not quite that good, but is a very good homemade version, loaded with cheese, and baked in a big pan. Service was excellent. Prices are a bit steep, but good for the quantity and quality. Canned pop. Cheap plasticware. I was leery, but the pork chops were so tender that even a plastic knife pulled them apart easily. Hardly needed it. The place is not fancy inside. Old, but clean, a few booths and tables. You're there for the food, not the decor. Or, come in and pick it up and take it home. And have better silverware... I will definitely be back. I loved what I got, and was enticed by some of the other things.
