I've given this place three chances. They've screwed up every single time. First time a lot of people getting their food that came in after I did before I got mine. I didn't get my food until I asked what was going on and where it was. Food preparation, was not up to the usual standards. I ordered over well eggs, received over medium. order crispy bacon, received limp bacon, sent it back. when it returned bacon was cooked as requested. upon further inspection, hash browns were not fully cooked and only just toasted on one side. decided against sending the hashbrowns back to the kitchen, fearing that was not a good idea. This is highly unusual as this location usually very good and one of my favorites . Unlike the Bob Evans located at Highway 200 near the I75 exit in Ocala which recently closed. I ordered Easter dinner for 6 people this morning. They charged me $125. It was to be delivered at 5:15. At 4:15 the restaurant emailed me and said the order was cancelled. I called and spoke with the manager. No apology, no offering for me to pickup the order, no offer to come into the restaurant. The manager is extremely rude and this is not the way to do business. He should be fired for ruining my Easter dinner. I have nothing to serve for dinner. Do not do business with Bob Evans. For shame on them, the most uncaring place in town. read more

We stopped here for lunch during a busy day for us. Our server Christy gave excellent service. Kudos Christy. Tom had Honey Butter Chicken with two sides that he said was great. I had a half sandwich/half salad combo. My sandwich, Double cheese pot roast dip on sour-dough was very good BUT my half salad was beyond my expectations. I went there on the suggestion of a friend, not expecting much. I've never had a very high opinion of B.E. because years ago they advertised on their outside sign of having Fried Mush. On this visit I saw that mush was no longer on the menu... Anyway, I ordered Chicken Fried Steak. It was delicious! OMG - What is that amazing aroma? I am getting intoxicated by it and need to taste whatever that is - STAT! Just so happens that this amazing smell was fresh banana nut bread that was being baked. It just does not seem fair - almost as if they purposely pump the smell out by the entrance so you become bread zombies and must obey it's command to buy a loaf on the way out. I like coming to Bob Evans when I visit my sister and brother in law here. As I had just arrived around 7:30 after driving over from a convention in Orlando we were all hungry and wanted a quick dinner so we swung over to this location. I enjoy the down home feel and comfort food that is served here. Nothing complicated or high end, just solid basic meals. These restaurants are decorated in what I call country farm style, and the waitresses are usually very nice. Ordered the grilled salmon plate with glazed bbq sauce on the side, baked potato, and mixed steamed vegetables. Came with two slices of that terrific smelling bread and it did taste wonderful. Moist, nutty, banana flavored goodness. As usual, the meal I ordered was cooked just right and filled me up. Free refills on iced tea too. Sis ordered the same, and her husband got a burger and fries. Both were solid. As waitress came by to hand off our bill she asked if we wanted anything else. The company I work for used their online service to order turkey dinner for 50 people served hot. The order was scheduled to be picked up at 11:00am. The food was ready on time, packed to perfection and served hot. Their efficiency was so great that my twenty minute drive back to the office was seamless. We had all the food setup and ready to serve within ten minute's thanks to the preparation by Bob Evan's. Great job and we will be doing the same thing for Christmas luncheon. read more

After a long day, I went in to enjoy a nice peaceful meal. Instead, the hostess sent me right next to a large group of what I can only describe, was a circus. Our server, Morgan, was super efficient, greeted us right away to offer us coffee, and was very friendly. When we said we needed a few minutes to decide what we wanted to eat, she didn't forget about us, like sometimes happens when we get out of rotation. I had the rise and shine, and my husband had the everything breakfast. The food was good, not spectacular, but met the needs of the Sunday brunch. It did take a long time to get out of the kitchen, but then again it is Sunday brunch so don't ever expect to be served anywhere in less than half an hour after everyone is getting out of church. Four stars instead of five because the food was good, not spectacular, the hoses was less than enthusiastic when she would announce that Bob Evans would like to greet the next customer to be seated, and the wait time between ordering in the food was a little long. Bob Evans is a chain restaurant based out of Ohio. Primarily in the East Coast and Mid West. I've only seen them in Florida. They promote their food as Farm Fresh Goodness. The founder of the company, Bob Evans owned a farm in Ohio. Raised his family there eventually turning it into a restaurant. The farm is now a historic attraction where visitors can visit. With that being said I've always loved Bob Evans and couldn't leave Florida without stopping here for breakfast. I got the Farmer's Choice breakfast which comes two eggs and your choice of a breakfast meat. You either get a crepe, pancakes, or french toast. I chose a strawberry banana crepe. The crepe was so good. Filled with a cream cream cheese based with strawberry and banana. I got my eggs over medium. The eggs were so good. You could taste the freshness. They are cooked to order and you can tell. My husband and kids, I think they got french toast and pancakes, but they all sure tore up the eggs. read more

I was very surprised by this place.. I'd never heard of it, and when my grandfather said he wanted to come here for dinner I was thinking "oh boy.. What the heck is that place?". When you walk in you're immediately hit with the intoxicating smell of fresh baked goods. Cinnamon on this day.. They make fresh breads and rolls to sell.. yum! They have an interesting slew of items on sale here, making it a bit like a country store at the same time as a sit-down restaurant. Our waitress was really good, very patient and very nice. All three of us ordered the pot pie dinner, but unfortunately, since we were there pretty late, they only had two left, so one of us had to reselect. My grandfather switched to the country-fried steak with mashed potatoes, which he said was really good. Each of our meals came with a salad, which was really quite large, fresh, and delicious. The chicken pot pies were good, rich and creamy, full of chicken and veggies, with a decent crust. We could not finish them. read more
