Arrived for breakfast. Parking lot was close to empty and there was nobody in line. We waited for over 10 minutes. Several employees glanced up at us and just ignored us. Nobody came to see us even though the sign said wait to be seated. There was a lady 4 feet from us at a cash register. She also did not address us or offer to seat us. We asked for the manager, Steve McGovern. He gave his name and then never asked us what the problem was or offered us a table. We are on our way to IHOP. I see that their ratings are low for food. Sad to see a business decline as this one has. We visited this Bob Evans often when we traveled to the northern part of the county, and the food and service were generally acceptable or better. But the mounting disappointments have now become too much to think we might ever find that one right day when service and food are decent enough to warrant our money. Food has too often come out either not hot enough or even cold. The taste is typical Bob Evans, where one goes for the comfort and feeling satisfied. But when that pedestrian taste combines with inadequate temperature, there's not much left for them to offer in the way of comfort or satisfaction. Yesterday, though, we waited and waited and waited for one of the several empty tables that were available. The two regulars in front of us were seated promptly. So, add up the ordinary food that is made less than acceptable with the service that is discriminatory and they've lost two customers. read more

I am/was a constant customer of this Bob Evan's. The last several times I have ordered delivery from them it has been messed up. Today was the icing on the cake. Placed order with the Bob Evan's website. Shortly after I was called and advised they don't have salad since Wildfire Chicken Salad was part of my order. Spoke with my wife and decided to switch to a BLT at the restaurant's request with provolone cheese and fries as a side. When the ordered arrived the BLT had no cheese, no fries. My French Dip had no sauce (I guess it's just a French Air without dip). And my Sausage Gravy was completely missing. When this happens and the store is contacted they say you can drive here to get your missing items but they can't deliver them even though I paid for delivery. Want a refund for missing items? Nope. The BLT was cheaper than the Salad, and again the Sausage Gravy was completely missing, however, they use DoorDash for payment and can't reimburse you their mess up. This is not DoorDash's fault. This is Bob Evan's and can say I will never order or visit this establishment again. read more

She had ordered ahead of time to place Mother's Day. They didn't offer her any other options. She complained to corporate and they sent her a $10 gift card. What a joke. One star due to burger. First, I got an incomplete order so my one guest didn't have her food. The steakhouse burger meal. The burger was great, but the fries were cold and nasty. I ordered the Honey Butter Chicken and Biscuit meal and the honey butter was everywhere. The biscuit was too saturated to eat. I picked it up and it fell apart, eek an even my broccoli was sweet. We come to see Michelle she a wonderful waitress always makes sure your coffee cup is full. Make sure you request her. The breakfast here is just ok really expensive for just two eggs a smig if potatoes bacons not bad some days and toast. It will cost you almost $15 for breakfast that crazy. read more

Sometimes, you just want a nice simple breakfast and when that mood strikes you then Bob Evans is the place to go. Recently remodeled with a new "bakery" section, the rest of the restaurant is mostly the same. Tables and booths and counter seating is available. Free wifi? Yes, please! I chose the easy "Rise and shine" breakfast which arrived with two eggs over easy, a pile of hash browns, two pieces of toast and three of the excellent Bob Evans breakfast sausages. Seriously, these are really good sausages. Coffee was good and refilled often enough. After breakfast was done, I sat for a bit with my laptop to kill a bit of time before heading up to start my workday. read more

Good food hot! Placed an order for three course family size meal. On 21-11-20 pick up at 528 pm. Arrived early and order was being packed (15 minutes early). Great service, but, I ordered the chicken fried steak. Assummed it came with country style gravy. Ordered mash potatoes it asked what kind of gravy I wanted, so I picked country gravy. Very dissappointed when I got home to eat with family And didn't have enough gravy for for the potatoes and fried steak. Fix your order form. My son and I come to this restaurant periodically because it is close to our home. Today we came in the afternoon when we realized it wouldn't be very crowded and we had an amazing server. We could hear what appeared to be the manager on duty belittling staff. Telling them how to cook biscuits. Then when we were checking out there was a customer in front of us who had a to-go order who added an item to her order. The "manager " proceeded to again belittle the staff member who was checking out the customer. There are ways to manage staff and this person doesn't know how to manage staff. It was embarrassing to the staff and to the customers. I am surprised there are still employees in this restaurant with this type of management. If this was my child working at a first job I would insist they quit, no one should be treated in this manner. This should be looked at my the owner. I don't normally write negative reviews as I know how some struggle during these trying times; however, what I saw here was disgusting and disturbing. First, the carpets were old and smelly, the booths were old and deteriorated, and worst the smell of the restaurant was a damp, stale, and musty (like an old house that has been shut for years). Second, no one attended us except the girl cleaning tables and spraying them down. She offered us coffee wearing the same gloves she used to spray down tables! WTH!!!! My rating system for restaurants is as follows. Three stars if it's okay, four stars if I'd like to be a regular, and 5 Stars if I would go out of my way to dine there. I really like Bob Evans for breakfast. The menu is pretty large, the price prices are reasonable and the service is fast and efficient. Try the farmer fresh breakfast where you get eggs hashbrowns meat and pancakes with fresh fruit. Our server was Anna who did a great job of keeping our coffee topped up and checking to see that there was nothing more we needed. Avoid. Stopped in for dinner at 7:30pm on a Friday. We were seated after standing at the host podium for 5-7 mins without acknowledgement [we were the only ones waiting]. I had to flag down the carry out cashier to get seated. We were given drinks by a busboy or float person. Then we waited....and waited....after 15 mins and no server we flagged down the busboy that sat us. He said he wasn't a server and that one would be with us shortly. After 5 more mins of waiting and no server, we left. I stopped by the cashier and offered to pay for our sodas. Ordered the family feast for Christmas dinner. Best decision I ever made pertaining to food. It was very easy to order, and very easy to make. They even have a guide on what time to start and what to do. It may have been the best turkey I've ever eaten in my life. The stuffing was just as good. Extremely surprised and blown away. The food doesn't look like it does on the menu (so be forewarned). The waitstaff is above average. Both times we were here, the staff checked on us and made sure everything was perfect. It appears the onions, peppers and ham were steamed inside of the omelette (I can't comment on the rest of the ingredients as I didn't order them). I placed an order through DoorDash for dinner as my daughter said she wanted sausage gravy, so she ordered that and I ordered the fried seafood platter. The food arrived quickly and I had no major issues with how it was packaged, right on par with a chain restaurant, everything thrown in a plastic container. My daughter was happy with her dinner, but when I opened mine I saw there were no clam strips. I was certain the dinner consisted of rockfish, shrimp, and clam strips so I checked the menu on DoorDash and to my surprise the seafood platter was no longer listed. Coincidence?... I doubt it. I called the restaurant and spoke with a manager, don't recall his name, but he was aware they were out of clam strips. He stated they were adding an extra shrimp or an extra strip of fried fish, neither of which I received, and there was nothing he could do about it. Am I the only one who finds it interesting that the item was removed from the menu? So in a nutshell, I paid for something I didn't get and they were ok with that. I will rank them right alongside the other crappy chain "restaurants" in Calvert County that do the bare minimum while the smaller places are forced to close. read more

This is a great place for comfort food on a cold day. A couple of co-workers and I have been going here for a few years for lunch, and we're rarely disappointed. Sometimes the wait is a bit much on busy days, but that's hardly the employees' fault. For the most part, we've had very pleasant experiences there. I can only remember one or two occasion where the service was lacking, or food was brought to the table incorrect. Those servers no longer work there. The staff is polite, the food is tasty, and it's one of the few places we try to be on our best behavior since we're typically surrounded by senior citizens and families :P The breakfast food is great, and the fried chicken is delicious. i have eaten at Bob Evans all over the country for years; I don't know if the Prince Fredrick store is a franchise or a corporate operated; however they have downsized their ambiance by removing the honey, from the tables, no place mats, smaller pancakes, lack of adequate management, servers, having to wait when the restaurant is not crowded. The young wait staff is new and poorly trained. IHOP is looking better choice now for breakfast, to say the least I am disappointed. read more

I've been here a few times. Always out of food. Manager Josh is the worst part of the experience. Interacting with him was like talking to an alien that took a humans skin and doesn't understand social cues. Really creepy and completely unsettling. Also seemed rude to servers as well as customers. Should not be in customer service. Good food and good service. Servers Sierra and Theresa particularly stand out to me as helpful friendly employees. The floor was deadly slippery but not wet not to sure what exactly they used but everyone was slipping all over.
