I also tried the cream of crab soup, which was shockingly bland. It lacked depth and flavor, making it one of the most forgettable versions I've had. Love the paintings on the wall with what looks like anyone who is affiliated with the family on the wall. Nice small open space, good service and great food. As stated the crab cake is amazing. We stopped by Jerry's Place for the first time this past weekend 4-6-25, and let me say it did not disappoint. Though it is a little on the expensive side, it was well worth it to me. I particularly like that if a few members of the table are drinking the same soft drink they bring a pitcher to the table so you can fill as you need. The seating area is small, but the artwork that fills the room gives this place a true local feel. The Crab cakes were awesome, and the Haddock Sandwich was delicious as well! The best seafood restaurant in southern Maryland. I've never had a single menu item I didn't like from Jerry's. The service is impeccable. The crab bomb is the ultimate. My personal favorite is the stuffed shrimp, in garlic butter. You get the best of both worlds and nearly half a crab bomb on top. The kale OMG it's the best. Even the bread is delicious! While my family and I usually go to this place, we will never go again, and I warn others with older family members as well. Upon arrival, there was a ledge on the left-hand door with no warning when going inside. There was nothing covering it and no sign to warn anybody about this. My grandmother fell into the door, broke her Maui Jim sunglasses, had multiple cuts on her face, and had a black eye that lasted for several days. Our waitress checked on us once and offered ice; even though I was urging my grandmother to leave with me, she had decided we should stay and eat. The owner, Jerry, never checked in on us, though he was aware of the entire situation- everyone in the restaurant was aware. This was strange because if you've been here, Jerry usually comes to your table more often than once, chatting and talking, but he very obviously stays clear of our table while my grandmother's face is bleeding and she is holding ice. The waitress then said, "Oh, we usually have a mat on top of that ledge. " Are you serious? We were never checked on by the owner whom we had seen. Never were we comped for anything on our bill--the least they could've done was take off my grandmother's meal or offered to help her pay for her sunglasses. This was the worst experience I've ever had at this restaurant, and we will not be returning. Second visit for my wife and me - brought my in-laws from out of state this time. Loved the nice touch of the samples of the stewed tomatoes, kale, and fish bites as we were looking over the menu. We all decided on kale as a side dish to our mains as a result of the sample - same thing with the fish bites. Everyone had the haddock platter except me, I had the crab cake and haddock dinner. The fish was outstanding. Breaded lightly and fried but not greasy at all. The crab cake was very tasty and well seasoned. It was slightly undercooked for my taste but they quickly resolve that by tossing it in the oven for another few minutes. To be clear it was not cold and for most I don't think it would be considered under cooked - I just prefer crab cakes "well done." (Sorry diehards) We would absolutely visit again and recommend Jerry's to anyone looking for a quick seafood meal with a waitstaff that goes out of the way to make you feel welcome. read more

So I don't like crab cakes, but I came here with my dad and grandfather who both love crab cakes and they said these were the best they've ever had and that's saying something cuz they've had a lot of crab cakes. I had shrimp and it was fantastic to say the least, it was so flavorful and delicious. I got this coconut cake for desert and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The decor inside is super cute the walls are all decorated with paintings there is so much to look at. The service was amazing, the owner Jerry came by multiple times checking to make sure we were all enjoying our food, he brought us samples of his fried haddock on the house and it was spectacular. I love this place. Unlike Jerry's Seafood Restaurant in Bowie, this place is phenomenal. I've eaten here in several occasions ands not once have I been disappointed. Yes it's located in Prince Frederick, and yes it's a small establishment. However, the customer service and the good quality makes up for that. If you're in a hurry, it may not be the place for you. If you're looking for delicious food and excellent customer service, then it's worth the drive. My wife and I have tried most of their dishes, and I stated earlier, we've never been disappointed. The owner walks around and engages conversation with customers. I cannot tell you what the parking is like during the week, but in a Sunday it may be a little tight. However, because there's a Mr Tire shop adjoining the premises, I've seen people parked in that area with no problem. Everyone in the staff is pleasant (I guess they do not have a choice because of the example set by the owner). From the Hosts to those clearing tables, they function like an assembly line everyone knows his/her responsibility and fires just that. They are very attentive, and very seldom, works you have to track someone down to receive service. If you don't mind the drive -based on your location- it's worth the trip. Extremely far away from my normal travels. I drove over an hour to try out this "grandad" crabcake on a nine inch pan. The crabcake was good but for $60 bucks....well that's another story! Usually platters in our area include two 5-8oz crabcakes for about $30-$40 bucks. This 16oz grandad crabcake should have been in that price range as well. The side orders were just ok but the fish nuggets were absolutely delicious with a fresh taste to them. Ambiance and environment were pretty normal...nothing to write home about. The current owner is all about customer relationships. He's everywhere and into everything in an effort to ensure that everyone is enjoying themselves. He's really animated and conversational. If he were closer to my area, I'd definitely drop in for a talk or two. This place is cool but way overpriced for the quality of the food that is offered. I know seafood is not cheap, especially crab, lobster etc. However, price gouging is never necessary either. I'm not sure if these are post pandemic prices. Maybe it's an attempt to recoup some of the losses that COVID has had all of us to take. I wish I could say that I'll be back. I ordered the Grand-Dad crabcake which is 16 oz of lump crab meat! It was a little dry around the edges but it was still delicious so I didn't take a star off. The menu offers a nice selection of various appetizers (shrimp, crab dip, oysters on the 1/2 shell, etc.), sandwiches (Icelandic haddock, oyster, crabcake, etc.), soups, platters, daily specials, and a beer and wine list. The hubs and I came here for a later lunch, and we ordered: 1/2 lb of the large steamed shrimp (cooked to order, seasoned with Old Bay, and served with a homemade cocktail sauce; the shrimp were large, seasoned wonderfully with the Old Bay, and were juicy, plump, and super fresh!); Maryland Crab Soup (a spicy veggie broth, chock-full of veggies and topped with a generous mound of jumbo lump crab, this soup was super delicious and literally feeds your soul! It has a nice kick to it and perfect for any cold weather!); and, a daily special of a combo platter, with a no-filler crab cake and baked scallops, dressed in garlic butter.
