We had a Men's group event in which the Bob Evans in Salisbury Md catered. I worked with Shelby to plan and order for the event. She made it a very easy process and was a great help. The food was prepared at the precise time specified and was boxed well. She even gave us cups, plates, utensils, napkins, jellies, butter, and syrup which I didn't even expect. Her staff helped load it into my van which I consider excellent service. I appreciate Shelby and her staff for all the work they put into making my event a success, food wise. We had lunch today. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and my husband ordered a pot roast & cheese 'dip' (served with a bowl of gravy to dip in!), which was HIGHLY recommended by our waitress, She. Our food arrived in a timely manner. Shye checked back on us and she could tell I wasn't pleased. The chicken salad was just not cold and had an odd taste. My husband also agreed. Our family went to Bob Evan's the morning after a wedding. They were able to seat all of us with no problem. Our waitress did a very good job with orders, coffee refills, and getting the food to us. I visited the Bob Evans restaurant in Salisbury Maryland a week ago and the food was the best. However, I accidentally left my wallet there and was just passing through on my way to New jersey. The manager there, Bryan, not only found my wallet but offered to mail the wallet to me, saving me a 7-hour drive. He actually took it to the post office and paid for the postage! What an upstanding guy. I can't say enough for Bryan. In this day and age to have someone go out of their way for a stranger the way he has done is remarkable. I went this afternoon with my sister who was visiting from Pa. It was around 1PM and there was no line, seating was immediate and very pleasant.. I believe we had a new server because this little girl was followed by the manager/head waitress or someone like that. However there was no need she was very nice, polite and pretty good at figuring out what we wanted. Our food came in a short time and was exactly what we ordered and how we specified it. Now this new waitress did a great job of making sure we had coffee and tea. I made sure she was compensated for her efforts. Went to Bob Evans in Delmar thinking that since it was a chain and we had eaten at many of these around the country that breakfast would be good. I have to say that both of our breakfasts were terrible. My wife got an omelet that could not be eaten with a fork--she had to scoop it with a spoon and the taste was fair. I got links sausage and eggs over medium--eggs were tasteless and under Cooked and everything was just barely warm--I walked out thinking how could a chain screw up breakfast. So we needed a place to eat some breakfast and we chose Bob Evans since Wifey had never been to one. We had the Big Egg breakfast and Farmer's choice breakfast as we needed to get us through skipping lunch. Neither of us had any complaints about the food-big meals, cooked right, and very tasty. In particular the grits (me) and the biscuits (Wifey) were really good. Best chain biscuits anywhere I think. Place was clean, parking was plentiful and it was easy to find (right on Rt 13). The only negative was the coffee. The coffee was pretty weak and lukewarm. But our waitress Amy was pretty nice so I'll give them four stars. In case I wasn't clear...GREAT biscuits! read more

We were passing through ON thanksgiving day and ordered through grub hub. I even called an hour out to make sure they got our order and it would be ready. I get there and no order. I showed them my receipt and said I even called, seems NO ONE checked grub hub monitor AND I said I called and a blonde said Oh yeah I took that call. I said I told you was coming and I had an order in. She said she didn't feel like taking a message then walked off!!! The manager looked at the ceiling and then proceeded to get our order. I ended up waiting another 45 minutes, since I'd already paid for it. THEN there was no salad....okay we'll take broccoli..THEN no cookie or desert...I chose 2 candy bars. The service here was great, but unfortunately my wife and I both had an upset stomach When you get an upset stomach, it is sometimes hard to pinpoint where you had the bad food, but it is unusual for my wife and I to both have an upset stomach right after eating at a place. The thing is, this is the first meal we had together for probably a week, so the odds are pretty good, the food here gave us each a little stomach upset. It is a shame because the service here is excellent and everyone is real friendly. The food looked okay, although my western omelet looked like something you would get from a cafeteria with raw uncooked vegetables, and big cubes of ham. It tasted okay, or passable. If there was a negitive star, i'd use it. usually i hate complaining because i understand that people make mistakes, but first off the food was horrible, the fork pot roast was cold when it come out, our rolls were so stale and dry, we asked for new ones and our server Lisa was very rude about it, then she got mad because we wouldn't pay in the middle of eating, so she told the table behind us that we didn't give "a shit" that she had to leave, i asked for the manager and the girl at the register was rude too, she had an attitude. we talked to the manager and said she was sorry but honestly it was just horrible. my friend tipped even tho it WAS not deserved, hopefully it was just a really bad night for the food and the people because if this is how they always are, i do not know how they aren't closed. my job, i would have been fired for attitudes like they had. read more

Service can be hit or miss. BUT for the most part the food here is good...the coffee is strong and the banana bread is GREAT! The children's menu has some GREAT choices! Anyways, this place was a nightmare. To start off we have never been here and we were passing through on our way out of Ocean city. It's a chain breakfast place so I expected lackluster food at worse...I was WRONG! We were seated and our waiter seemed frazzled but got our drinks and everything seemed fine. He took our order and that's where it began. In the long stretch of time it took for our order to come my boyfriend and I watched this place crumble. The waiters were all arguing with each other and also complaining to the customers . Appearantly they were stealing each others food. Then that made all the waiters stand up at the food window waiting for their food, doing nothing. That meant us and everyone else were left with no refills and no waiters to help. People began walking out. We would have also but we had a hungry 2 year old so we figured how much worse could it be? I don't mind noise but when the noise is just a bunch of disgruntled waiters/waitresses screaming at each other and complaining to customers. We ended up going about 45 minutes before we saw our waiter again. He did apologize and gave us a speech about how the cooks were screwing up. Out food was wrong but we just ended up eating it. It was only a little wrong and we just wanted out of this place. The food was terrible and they barely gave us any..usually you gt very large portions with breakfast but these were about half of what I am used to. The bacon was salty and greasy, the pancakes were flavorless and the eggs were watery and bland. Even the coffee tasted burnt . We than had to wait about another 30 minutes for our check because our waiter was watching the food window like a hawk and dealing with people complaining. I should add that this location was filled with very grumpy senior citizens. Im talking down right rude. My son was very well behaved but began getting frustrated when we were done eating yet still waiting. I'll start by saying my husband enjoyed his lunch of potato soup and a half Turkey sandwich. I wanted a cup of chicken noodle soup and a chicken cranberry salad. That was off the menu so I asked for a bowl of soup which was supposed to be served with crackers. I decided to ask if they had a kids menu offering of a PB & J. No only grilled cheese. Tough luck if your child is lactose intolerant. When the soup arrived I was surprised to see that it had no broth. How do you call it soup?
