We put in our order, and we barely noticed a delay in our food coming out. (But nonetheless we appreciated the heads-up!) I had the short ribs, and they were incredible. They were falling off of my fork because they were so tender! The mashed potatoes served with them were also great. The rest of our party ordered seafood, and everyone in the group raved about how good their dishes were. My only regret was that none of us saved room for dessert! Something that also truly stuck out to me: one of the managers noticed my grandma was cold and adjusted the temperature in the room in which we were seated. I know this isn't standard practice at restaurants, but I can't say enough how much it meant to us that the staff paid so much attention to us. Seaside Fish House is DEFINITELY on my permanent list of favorite places in Delaware now.

I will summarize my four most recent happy hour off season visits. We were first here at the bar with my six family and friends. Well finally the off season happy hour half price dinner entrees have finally returned here starting around mid October with pretty much the same entrees and menu as last year. They subsequently updated the half price entrees in early November. All items have pretty much returned here except for some new entrees. The good news is that at least two new half price happy hour dinner entrees were added including the surf and turf with espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon with two skewered shrimps, yukon mash, tomato garnash with blue cheese in the middle of the tomato for $40 or half price for only $20. I never had espresso encrusted filet mignon, therefore I ordered and enjoyed mine medium rare. I could barely taste the encrusted espresso. I ended my dinner with my favorite Fiddlehead's draft honey porter for $6. My total bill was $111 with half price discount of $36.50 so my final bill was $77. On my second return I enjoyed my ahi tuna rice bowl with broccoli, ginger fried house rice, sprouts and ginger vinaigrette for $36 or half price for $18. My total bill was $72 excluding gratuity. On my third return I again enjoyed the espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon, which I had ordered medium rare, but was over cooked to medium. I did not complain about returning my filet for a replacement, however I did show it to bartender Dennis. Next time I will order my filet rare. On my fourth return I enjoyed my usual cosmos and my ahi tuna rice bowl which was always properly cooked ahi style. Bartender Dennis always remembers I prefer a little extra spice, without me even asking for my Sriracha. Dennis recommended both of the above entrees. See my most recent pic of the new menu. Chef Cowan waved to me at the bar. Bartender Dennis served us very well supported by our usual excellent recommendations and conversations. Chandra and Cameron also said hello. Needless to say we will continue to return here for happy hour to spend our $1k.

I got the Snow Crab mini feast, which came with 4 Clusters of Snow Crabs, 1 Piece of Fried Chicken, 1 Ear of Corn, Boat of Fried Shrimp, Boat of Clam Strips, Boat of Hush Puppies. Which was more like 3 pieces of chicken, and shrimp flowing out of the boat. I also got a pitcher of Blue Moon and a Tito's Wildcat which was really good. I could've done without the powdered sugar on top of the hush puppies, but it didn't ruin how good they were. It almost gave off a beignet vibe, they were lighter and fluffier than a lot of the more dense hush puppies I've had, and were still the best hush puppies i've had in a minute. Needless to say I crushed this whole meal, and I was actually considering not even eating the corn. Then I figured I should atleast take a bite, because why not. Best decision ever! I pealed the corn and drizzled melted butter with Old Bay on it, and holy smokes! The best corn i've ever had in my entire, whole, full, complete, total life! I would fircking come back from a Corn on the cob mini feast if they had one...lls The only real downside is that on a hot day this place and get pretty stuffy inside. We spoke with our waitress who said the A.C. has a hard time keeping up once the place gets packed, so hopefully thats something they fix in the near future. Since we were going to be in the Millsboro, DE area, I was not sure I would find anything unique or interesting. I came across Kaisy's Delights on Yelp. The reviews were pretty good, and the most recent one I saw was about three months old. After looking at the menu and reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. When we arrived, the place immediately caught our attention. The building used to be a small bank, and the interior still has the original vault, which makes it really interesting. A young couple with a small child walked in just ahead of us, and the owner invited both of us into the vault. He showed us pictures and shared the story of his family and how the restaurant came to be, along with the inspiration behind the food. My wife ordered the Sweetie Kaiserschmarrn, and I ordered the Skier's Kaiserschmarrn. Kaiserschmarrn is a fluffy, caramelized Austrian shredded pancake, often called Emperor's Mess. It is made from a thick batter with separated eggs, torn into pieces while cooking, and served with powdered sugar and fruit. It has a light, almost soufflé-like texture. My order also came with two sausages. The meal was excellent. The owner was very interactive and enjoyable to talk with. My wife and I both grew up around restaurants, so we tend to notice the details. The place was very clean. The table setting and dining ware were simple and nice. The presentation of the Kaiserschmarrn looked like a mess, which is exactly how it is supposed to look, and it tasted wonderful. We really enjoyed both the food and the conversation. Hearing the owner's story and how he got to where he is today made the experience even better. I would highly recommend giving Kaisy's Delights a try. There are a few more items on the menu I would like to try, and we will be going back.
