Honey Butter Chicken and Biscuit meal delivered. I had this same meal yesterday for dine in and chicken breasts and portions were bigger

The meal was ok. Not as good or large as yesterday's lunch potion. This is what you get for delivery. Yesterdays breast was twice as large for 1 breast.

The restaurant is conveniently located in front of a hotel. When we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly hostess and seated right away. Jeremy, the waiter, is a very nice and well mannered young man. He took our orders politely and cheerfully. We ordered Sirloin with mushrooms and onions and herb roasted two-piece chicken. Both dishes were prepared nicely and presentation was good. We asked Jeremy for extra breads. He immediately assured us that there wouldn't be extra charges and the bread was of unlimited supply We enjoyed the dining experience at this restaurant, with good service.

Such a sweet staff! Everyone who works here is so friendly! The hubby and I were making a road trip back home and stopped here along the way. Bob Evans is running a cash back special through my bank so it was an incentive to stop in, plus we actually do enjoy their food. The food was prepared great, all the staff seemed to help each other out, they were friendly to everyone, and we got our food in good time. I'm very happy with this visit!

It's dated in the best possible way: dim lighting, worn-in character, familiar faces, and that unmistakable local hangout atmosphere where regulars clearly outnumber first-timers. The highlight here is the Tweety Burger, and honestly, that's the reason to come. It reminded me immediately of the classic Midwest style you'd find at places like Minor-Dunn in Highland, Indiana. The patty is smashed thin and cooked flat on the grill, giving it those crispy edges and deep, savory flavor you only get from a well-seasoned griddle that's seen years of use. It tastes homemade--not engineered, not trendy, just a straightforward burger done right. You can tell they take their time with the food. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced. The burger comes out hot, flavorful, and satisfying without trying to be gourmet or overcomplicated. No towering Instagram presentation--just a solid, honest burger that delivers exactly what you want from a local pub. Service matched the vibe perfectly. The staff were personable, welcoming, and genuinely friendly in that small-town way that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a guest stopping by a neighborhood spot. Charlie's isn't flashy. It's not modern. And if you're looking for upscale dining or trendy décor, this isn't the place. But if you want an authentic mom-and-pop tavern experience with a burger that locals clearly treat as a tradition, it's worth the stop. Best advice: stick with the Tweety Burger. Don't overthink the menu. Order it, enjoy the atmosphere, and experience a piece of local Terre Haute character. Not a destination restaurant--but absolutely a solid local classic you should try at least once.

It didn't take long for a server to say hello and get us our drinks. Food didn't take long. Mother in law like her fish and onion rings , she said they were good and not at all greasy. Husband liked his omelette and tater tots. I got the gravy and biscuits and a side of bacon. The gravy was good, not the best ever but good. The bacon was crispy and flavorful. Drinks were kept filled even though our server got slammed with a huge party that trickled in little by little. Prices were super reasonable, We'd do this again when in the area.

I am writing about a delivery, so I can't comment on the restaurant itself. I took a star off because they did not provide any utensils or napkins in the delivery bag which made for a delayed meal since I had to go searching for a fork. The garden salad was very good. So crisp and fresh. The tomatoes were yummy, and I liked the surprise of celery amoungst the greens. The greens were mixed and not just iceberg which elevated the salad quite a bit. I always say I judge an Italian restaurant by their sauce, and this one was ok. Very sweet. Not thick. It wanted for something. I ordered the half portion of angel hair pasta, and it was still a very generous amount. I added a meatball which tasted more like an Italian sausage in a ball with a bit of spice and a chewier consistency. I wasn't mad at it, but it wasn't the seasoned ground beef crumble I expected. All in all, the meal was good, just lacking in some of things I expected from a place everyone seemed to like about it. I would probably go back and maybe try some of the other dishes next time I am in Terre Haute, if only to see if maybe it was just that order.

The building itself is over a 100 years old and is on the National Register of Historic Places, this helps its cool vibe. We came in at 12:30 on a December Thursday, it was absolutely packed, what appeared to be multiple team/holiday gatherings. We were told a 20 minute wait, but we eventually were able to find a seat at the bar in less time. With as busy as it was, I was concerned food coming out may be impacted, but it came out quick. Allie was our bar tender, she was very friendly and attentive, shout out to her. First I started with a local beer, wango tango. I would call it a hazy pale ale. It was perfect for me. Had grilled shishito peppers. It was my first time to ever eat one, I loved them. I enjoyed them better without the sauce, but the wasabi Mayo did provide a nice kick. I ate the fried wontons with the sauce. We shared the crab Rangoon flatbread. It did not disappoint, and had a healthy serving size. I would get it again and again! Then I went with a comfort food, fried bologna sandwich. It came with a side, but the sandwhich alone was enough. I added a close pic of the sandwich, it had two thick cut pieces of meat. Impressive. It came with melted cheese, that was a twist for me, but I wanted to try it the way it was on the menu first. I eventually added ketchup, lol. We now have a new place to stop as we're passing by on 70. If I lived closer, i definitely would be a regular!!!
