People wanted to see the manager who was clearly hiding in the back room. There was one girl working hard but she can't do everything. The lobby was a wreck and the front doors look like a bus of slime covered children ran their hands and bodies up against ever inch of glass. Gross... I don't know how wait times are when eating in, but delivery wait times are abysmal. I am a delivery driver and this place seems to consistently have the longest waiting times of any area restaurant. The cooking staff clearly has zero priority for those who order online for delivery. My last pickup ran 30 minutes late for a 2-item order, and there were no other people waiting for pickup orders. Not sure why the low stars for this place. Our experience was great! Seated right away, had to wear the useless masks til seated but then free to breathe. Service was quick and very friendly (thanks, Ginny!), prices low and food was very good! Some of the best bacon we've had in a while! Eggs cooked perfectly, hash browns yummy, fresh basked and sliced white bread for the toast, and the French toast wasn't bad either! We will definitely come back! 1) Got food spilled on me; I understand. Mess was on the floor for more than 30 mins as the workers just passed by and observed the mess as if it were not their jobs ( funny in an ironic way, I know); I don't understand. 2) Our order had been forgotten and we waited an hour for nothing. We observe other patrons who came later than us receive there orders before us and all the waiter said was "sorry it's busy". We like to eat at Bob Evan but unfortunately, the food is never really hot and the mashed potatoes are kind of dry if you get the turkey dinner. Plus, they give way too much dressing. We usually leave half of it. Also, it would be nice if the handicap was located at the front door instead of at the side door where you have to ring the bell and wait for one of the staff to open it for you. read more

Totally agree it really doesn't look like much from the outside but I decided to give it a try. First time my friend and I went and dine in. The food was okay. I had two sunny side up eggs and couple turkey sausages. My friend only wanted and had hot cakes. The coffee didn't have much taste to it Enron after I added cream and sugar. I've visited this restaurant many times for breakfast and typically get the same thing, which I have enjoyed. This time I tried their brioche French toast with sausage links. I've always liked them, however, I would definitely not recommend the French toast. They were soggy with no egg custard. Tasted as if they were dipped in vanilla with a touch of cinnamon and drenched in syrup. My father got their eggs, cooked perfectly, but the sausage patties were burnt and the biscuits were definitely not fresh. The waitress was great and attentive which is why I gave 2 stars. It pains my heart to have to write this but the trend has to be identified. This has been my family's go-to place for my farewell dinners prior to departing on my frequent business trips. However, the last few times the service has been subpar. This time the straw broke the camel's back. We walked in at 5:30pm received our check and immediately left at 7:25pm. Our service was incredibly slow, no refills, charged for items that were supposedly included, and delivered cold desserts that were to be served hot. I understand that restaurants have issues with staffing sometimes but this has now went from a once/twice excusable issue to a deficiency that needs to be addressed. Turkey dinner came on a chilled platter, not hot or room temp but chilled like a salad plate Potatoes, turkey, carrots, were completely cold. Bean soup was nothing like what it used to be. Not bad I loved the caramel mocha also, no lines like IHOP. We waited about 15 min for our food. Waiter was nice and friendly she got our drinks within 5 minutes. Food was good not bad hash browns too greasy not the best but other than that it wasn't bad. Although I would put jalapeños in vinegar with the border omelet (Chile chipotle would go better) I don't get why all the bad reviews. My friend told me it's more for the elderly but it wasn't bad at all, cheap too. Give it try maybe stick to things that aren't easy to mess up. I've always been a fan of Bob Evans! I love their banana nut bread the most! ......this one is crazy mayhem on the weekends! Understandable because everyone loves their breakfast and brunch! However, this location can definitely be disorganized at the take out/checkout counter. Employees running all over the place not knowing what's going on. You know that business is crazy on the weekends so make sure you are staffed accordingly and that the employees know what's going on. I get it. I've worked in the restaurant business. There just shouldn't be shift leaders who look like they don't know what's going on. Usually their food is on point but this time it was ehhhh! Please read this review completely and you'll see why I gave them 5 stars. I moved here the fall of 2015 and was happy to realize there was a Bob Evans not far from our home. By November we were coming most Sunday mornings. Like some of the earlier reviews, the food was good; however at times there could be chaos and not always organized. The restaurant was always clean and the staff polite and respectful. I've noticed that there's new management. Although this location can still be extremely busy at times, it has become very organized. Servers taking personal responsibility to support one another. Taking time to help carry plates to tables because one server would need 6 arms lol. I've even witnessed the hostess coming to help bus tables when no one is waiting. One morning both a manger and GM were on duty and fully engaged. This location may have had problems, but they have since seemed to find their rhythm as a staff. I've even been bold enough to try steak and eggs for breakfast. To my surprise the steak was TENDER & FLAVORFUL! I had to ask the manager how they cooked it only to learn the marinate their meat for at least 24 hours. Needless to say, I was impressed with his response. For the price and quality, I'll continue to come and ask for my favorite server. She always manages to have our drinks ready without having to ask. Guess we are creatures of habit. read more

Along with a couple, we frequent this Bob Evans on a regular basis....Food is consistently plentiful and tasty along with the service... This time we were greeted while being seated by one of the employees....Our wait person had a trainee with her and informed us immediately...after placing our orders, the trainee waited on us exclusively with great poise and professionalism and guessing she was probably around the age of 20... The female counterpart of the couple ordered a Western Omelette, home fries, coffee and requested toast instead of biscuits, which come with it, plus she requested only 2 eggs as it comes with 3......her husband ordered pancakes which were large indeed. I ordered the rise&shine which consisted of 2 eggs over easy,hash browns, 2 link sausages and toast....the two orders of potatoes were requested to be cooked crisply which they were when they arrived....Also a nice touch was the toast was ALREADY buttered...I can't count the number of times ordering toast which arrives at best lukewarm, along with butter ice cold, making it hard to melt on the toast... Everyone's meal arrived hot along with the coffee...The ladie's omelette was chock full of meat, onions, peppers and cheese and cooked perfectly, unlike ones we had which were cooked too hard and resembled scrambled eggs at another diner directly across the street from where we were... Our wait person was attentive and promptly refilled our coffee when requested and anything else we asked for...Have no idea how long she has been in training but her trainer is doing an excellent job with her... Note: The Western Omelette came with 3 eggs instead of 2 as she had requested but it turned into my good fortune as I was able to sample some of it and validate its' goodness and that it was cooked perfectly. Also, our potato orders arrived crispy as we requested... After enjoying a wonderful breakfast, when it came time to pay the tab, our wait person informed us that our bill had been paid by an anonymous person....YOU TALK ABOUT CHRISTMAS IN JULY!!!!!!! Sure, most of us have read about incidents like this but have never experienced this pure joy... Exiting the restaurant I sought out the manager to inform him about our excellent meals along with the pleasant and professional staff and reminded him that staff at any restaurant or business is a reflection on the manager's style....Surprising to me the manager was the same person who greeted us upon arrival...I didn't think that person was the manager then because of his youthful appearance but how wrong I was...This young man has it all and should go a long way in life...Every staff person we encountered was pleasant in demeanor and helpful and one can't ask for any more than that. Lol where do I begin? Why seat people when a server is not ready? I get it will make them less likely to leave, but we did not see our server for almost 10 mins. Server finally comes and we tell her we are ready to order. When I order, I request twice that the homefries are deep fried. Guess what? They still weren't and we cold AF. The coffee tastes watered down and all utensils and cups were not thoroughly cleaned. My daughter ordered the piggy pancakes and they came naked because, per our server, "The bananas didn't look too good and I wouldn't give them to my kid so i didnt want to serve them to yours". While I wholeheartedly appreciate her not giving us bad good, because I'm appeasing a picky 4 year old, why not just tell me and give me the option to order something else? While it sounds trivial, my daughter has been complaining since they arrived that "it's not a pig though!". After the server notified us of the bananas, I tried to tell her about the homefries that weren't deep fried but she just walked away. I feel like I say this everytime I come here and try again, but never again!! Icing on the cake? As she refilled my dad's coffee, she spilled coffee in the butter for my pancakes? And the servers' name was Blair, never she did ask if we needed more coffee, she passed by knowing our coffee cups was half empty and my friends cup was already empty but never refill our cups with coffee. So , I asked another server if the coffee is billed per cup , and he replied no . Its free refill . So me and my friend commented that wow, nobody even bother to offer a refill. Another server came and fill our cups with coffee and I told him, no thanks because we already done . I ordered a delivery order this morning and when I received my order I made a mistake. I had thought I was missing one item. I called the restauraunt and told them I was missing an item. The associate and manager I spoke with were really nice and helpful. I than realized the mistake I made and I apologized to both of them. They were great and very polite. I am very disappointed with the Woodbridge location. After waiting 4 years of returning to Bob Evans because of extremely bad service and food, my thoughts have not changed. Last Friday, I decided to eat breakfast at the Chantilly location. The customer service and food was delicious. I was very pleased. So, I decided to do an online order for breakfast at the Woodbridge location Sunday morning at 10:45am. The app stated my food would be ready by 11:20. I arrived on time and the food was not ready. I returned 10 mins later and the food still wasn't ready. The young man at the cash register was extremely pleasant and said he will take my cell number and call when the food is ready. I noticed that several people drove up and grab their food. So, I decided to go back inside to inquire again about my food which was another 15 mins later. The sweet young man stated he hadn't' seen anything yet but will call. Another 15 minutes came and went, so I decided to go back in to speak with the manager. She pulled up my order online and gave the expression as if my order had not been started. She apologized and asked for 2 minutes to put my order together. I asked for my money back but she apologized and insisted getting it together. I was extremely hungry so I told her to please make it quick. We ordered the Hog meal. The food was good and hot except the order was not complete. They substituted certain foods because of the rush to complete my order. I say all of this to say the service and food was good but the timeliness, preparation and organization for the online ordering/ takeout could use improvement. We visit this location often but the last few times have been disappointing. I ordered chicken salad that was supposed to come with grapes, cantaloupe and strawberries. When it came there were no strawberries but the waitress apologized and said she gave me extra grapes. Several of them were rotten. Today I ordered the strawberry banana oatmeal. The picture on the menu showed a bowl of oatmeal covered in sliced strawberries and bananas, it looked great and I couldn't wait. Again, no strawberries, only strawberry pie goo with a few sliced bananas. So disappointing. If they don't have them why not warn the customer, hey we're out of strawberries but we have sauce is that okay. No, I'll order something else. I scraped the goo off but it was still subpar. This used to be the best breakfast in Woodbridge but I think there's a management issue and it will be some time before I go back. read more
