These gentlemen are always so helpful in a pinch. They are always honest, knowledgeable and direct. There have been a couple instances where they won't hesitate to save you a buck even if it doesn't do anything for them. This review is specifically written to give appreciation and thanks to, Aaron, with Bob Holzer Towing. I got a flat tire and was stuck in a parking garage all day long! The first driver arrived and couldn't help me out because he didn't have the right truck and a few other issues, so I was on my own. I eventually moved my care carefully out of the parking garage to the street level and had to leave it over night! This was a huge bummer. Next Morning I tried again and Aaron arrived to help. Tire came off my car while driving on the highway due to careless service where they didn't tighten my lug nuts all the way a few days earlier. AAA brought in Fernando from Bob Holzer Towing to help out. He safely got my car towed and even took the extra time to move some lug nuts from other tires so that the car could at least be moved a short distance if necessary. On Saturday 10/9/21 I had just completed my shopping at Costco in San Luis Obispo. I attempted to start my car and just got a clicking sound. After trying several times I immediately called AAA. I had a great experience with Brian after my car died off the 101. He arrived 30 minutes before the anticipated arrival time which was a pleasant surprise. Brian asked what was happening to my car and I explained all the car trouble I had just 2 days prior. He suggested buying a new battery because he didnt think I needed to tow my truck. He noticed the connections to my battery were dirty so he took the time to clean everything off and waited with us to make sure the car would be okay. Ultimately I did need a new battery, but thanks to him it started again and is currently running! (Knock on wood!) Brian made a bad situation a little bit better by his knowledge and assistance! I used AAA to call for a battery replacement as it says they check your cars charging system and such. (otherwise I would've just gone and gotten a battery myself and installed myself). I entered make and model of my vehicle and the battery I needed, towing company arrived and said I needed to replace the battery so I said ok. They didn't bring the correct battery, so had to wait an additional 30 minutes, whatever no big deal. Eventually got the new one installed, paid for the battery as well as labor charge. Drove my car later that day, all normal. After that drive, car wouldn't start, popped the hood and the negative clap was completely disconnected from the negative terminal and the battery clamp down was extremely loose letting the battery slide around in the tray. Never had an issue with the hardware holding the battery and clamps, they just weren't tightened at all. What was I even paying them for?? read more

Reasons for needing the services of Bob Holzer Towing are myriad: none of them good. I needed Bob via the AAA because i had lost my keys or more than likely my 2 year old nephew put them someplace that a whole shitload of adults could not find. I mean there were 4 of us looking almost for 3 hours tearing the house apart...to no avail. When i ruthlessly interrogated the 2 year old dude as to where he had hidden the keys: all he did was flash a big beautiful smile and i melted. So much for the prime suspect interrogation. So i called the Auto Club and they told me that my car being a keyless entry was one that could not be opened without the key-less entry thingamajig. So i decided to have the Auto Club tow me to my home 85 miles due north where i had another, hopefully operating entry bob. Along comes Brian who from the first was pleasant and smiley and hell bent to make me feel comfortable: which was important since i had elected to ride with him in his tow truck to my home; a journey of 1.5-3 hours depending on the traffic. More companies need a Brian who also schooled me about stuff of which i was not aware in regards to my car. It was hotter that a witches T^T today yet the music was cool, the AC was blasting and the patter was always professional and chill. Called AAA twice over the past 12 months. Holzer was deployed to take care of my vehicle. Service quality was fine but had a recent incident where Holzer had to cover the warranty under a battery that was installed in Jan of 2021. Holzer driver met me at my mechanics where the battery was clearly dead and needed to be replaced under warranty. Showed the Holzer employee my ID and my AAA card. Said he would take care of it? I left and the driver told my mechanic that nothing was wrong and proceeded to leave without changing the battery? Never called me or gave a reason! WTH? Had to get the car home, called AAA to complain about such an easy request and then Holzer sent out a guy that I've had before. His name was Lupe! Great guy, knows his stuff cold and simply replaced the battery in 10 minutes after testing it and saying it was dead! Thank you Lupe! I appreciate you for the high level of service as well as the kind conversations we have. If you ever call Holzer, request Lupe and not one of the young dudes that don't give a crap about anything but up-selling you. Lupe truly cares and follows the AAA rules for replacement to the T, thus saving me 199.99. Thanks again Lupe. Holzer needs to give you a raise ASAP for cleaning up their mess. Bob Holzer Towing showed up within minutes. The driver/mechanic was Robert R and he was very professional, helpful, and engaging. In the past my subaru has lost some window controls when a battery needed recharging or replacement. It happened this time after Robert replaced the battery. He double checked his diagnostic setups and there are no procedures indicated to reset Subarus, which is consistent with my earlier experiences. Robert said he would do more research and text me an update. Sure enough pretty quickly he texted me 2 YouTube videos. I was able to easily reset my Subaru window controls. As we left Santa Barbara and was heading up San Marcos Pass, we encountered overheating problems in our vehicle. We contacted AAA who sent out this towing company. The driver was very friendly and efficient and towed us two miles to a repair shop. Because of the cost of the quoted repairs, we contacted AAA again and asked for a tow back to our residence in Oxnard. This driver also was very friendly and efficient.
